It takes a lot of pushing for people to admit it but eventually they do, most of them even know it’s hypocritical they just don’t care. And for the right it’s honestly in their best interest to keep quiet about it, since their voter-base is mainly young men and it’d be quite detrimental to proclaim you’d trample their rights when the time came.

Yeah, it’s part of the whole male sacrifice mindset. I’d say it’s probably the “default” opinion most people have.

Don't even make me start on the conscription laws. You should, it's something people either explicitly ignore or claim has to exist to enable an "equal" society.

if they advocate for men they are MRA's not allies. You know that's as bad as claiming everyone who advocates equality for women is a feminist, right? Which is something feminists often do and we shouldn't be copying.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/06/22 02:10 PM

All "MRA's" are allies with each other, do you know what ally means?

We should strive to put personal feelings aside and work with everyone with the same goals regardless of negative personal experiences. Otherwise we'd be doing the same as all those Radfems/TERF's who claim they can't trust any men/transwomen because they had negative experiences with a few.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/06/22 10:05 AM

The perspective of a trans ally is equally important, people dismissing your contributions are dumbasses and should be ignored.

There already a more lenient court system in most countries, it's usually called something like "childrens court". This "Professor" is literally arguing we should treat all women like children... How can someone like that even claim themselves to be progressive?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/05/22 03:35 PM

Well if women get to have period leave men should be allowed to retire earlier since they're biologically burdened with a shorter life expectancy right?

Americans are really surprised that a lot of men don’t respect bodily autonomy even though their own culture takes it away from boys the moment they’re born… baffling.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/05/22 02:54 PM

And of course on Twitter the TERF's latch onto it to prove somehow that's it's all Trans women's fault... Why can't people stop demonizing the male sex for one fucking day?

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/22 01:53 PM

Directly? No, but I did quit my job because the environment felt increasingly hostile. So I haven’t been around that sphere for a while.

Is it against sending “dick picks” or pictures of genitals in general? If it the latter that’s fine otherwise it’s just another sign the UK still hasn’t learned.

It's really troubling me, I've worked in life long care facilities with "adult male" autistic patients for a long time and sadly I'm part of only a handful of male nurses I've ever encountered in that industry. Most nurses are young women who logically follow modern feminist ideology, and that ideology is the exact movement empowering this mistrust or even flat out hatred of autistic men... And that just scares me, because these men are some of the most vulnerable people in society and don't des…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/22 08:00 PM

Honestly it's even worse, they're actively starting to demonize men with disabilities. I've seen it happen more and more, people claiming many if not all incels are autistic and so linking the "dangers" of the incel movement to that of all men on the spectrum. It's dangerous dehumanization and honestly, I don't know what to do about it.

The way you boast about your “masculinity” does not say “confident” to me lol. Also if you want to use the term “toxic masculinity” here you could call it “internalized misandry”, it’s less victim blame’y that way. Though it seems you’re quite comfortable blaming victims as long as they’re men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/03/22 01:38 AM

Just call it “internalized misandry” ffs.

People have informed me what the "Bechdel test" is, so I'd say at least a dozen.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/02/22 10:21 PM

yeah I think I've read at least a dozen trashy romance novels where the male characters would fail this "reverse Bechdel test".

Bechdel test The what?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/02/22 05:39 PM

and expressing discomfort with certain terms is considered anti feminism. But the discomfort still exists, it's just not allowed to be expressed. This is so incredibly bad for someone's mental health, but I have a feeling that's kinda the point of menslib, isn't it?

"Normal" people are highly invested in the sexual marketplace, where women are viewed like sluicegates and men are viewed as rushing currents of water, as a primal force of nature. Telling these people that their view of the world is wrong is like telling them water doesn't flow, to them it's denying the very laws of nature. This is of course all specifically built to control both men and women.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/01/22 12:24 PM

If I've learned one thing from the comments to those tweets is that the UK is infested with TERFs, and of course TERFs and Misandry go hand in hand.

Yeah it’s called internalized misogyny…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/21 04:21 PM
17

How would you fucking call that when women do it? Not god damn “toxic femininity” because that would be victim blaming, it’s called “internalized misogyny” for a reason. Well the same applies to men because else you’d be a massive hypocrite.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/21 04:01 PM
24

Because that’s what it is fucking used for, and if you can’t see that you’re part of the problem. I’m not making it about victims, everyone is a victim of something, be it misandry or misogyny and blaming the victims by using terms like “toxic masculinity” isn’t helping anyone. Honestly it’s doing the opposite.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/21 03:55 PM
33

Toxic masculinity is literally just: “Internalized misandry but it’s mens fault.” Call me indoctrinated all you want I’m not the one actively using a term used to victim blame and handwave away mens issues.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/21 03:51 PM
36

The world you’re looking for is misandry, “toxic masculinity” is just misandry rebranded to victim blame men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/21 03:39 PM

A nation doesn’t just get invaded for no reason, it’s always the fucking assholes in charge that decide to go to war, that people have to die for no fucking reason and I won’t enable that bullshit.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/11/21 01:50 PM

What's so bad about that to use it as such a gotcha ? Because it expect men who are non-conforming to either fall in line and contribute or kill themselves (not be a burden). That visceral hatred for non-conforming is what we fight when it shows up in feminism and I’ll damn well fight it when it shows up in conservatism.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/11/21 01:37 PM

I wouldn’t take that risk, they might support us on one specific issue but often want to restrict the rights and freedoms of people we consider ourselves “allies” of.

What about one of his 'male' victims? The one Rittenhouse defenders keep calling a "wife Beater" to justify his death even though he was also barely an adult when he had an altercation with his family not his "wife". Do they get bonus point for using the "wife beater" stereotype, completely inaccurately I might add to justify a mans death?

When my dad went to school in the early 70's it was absolutely normal, he was born a lefty and they'd beat his left hand with a ruler until he started writing with his right. Things have changed a lot in the last 40 years, that teacher had changed with the times but old age and stress made her slip up one day and she paid dearly for it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/11/21 11:26 AM
29

I’m from the Netherlands, went to school in the mid 00’s and a teacher here was fired because they went to far in “disciplining” a boy. She was quite old and used to a different time, my dad actually went to the same school and stil has horror stories on how she beat him because he was left handed.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/11/21 10:43 AM

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/11/21 09:14 PM

It’s ironic isn’t it, people are so opposed to non-conforming men that they rather force them to become women… At this point I’m starting to think its some kind of subconscious drive again men non-conforming.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/11/21 12:03 PM

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/11/21 12:34 PM

It’s hilarious because racists use the same logic to rationalize their hatred for black people, and comparing a group of people with a disease is even better. Having people expose their own bigotry like that is great because it’ll come back to bite them in the ass at some point.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/11/21 09:00 AM
13

Mandatory male only conscription should be considered a human rights violation and if you don't oppose "the draft" you're not advocating for equality and shouldn't be here.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/10/21 08:54 PM
11

Yeah my friends story was similar, they found him wondering a public park the next morning extremely confused but entirely coherent. He usually took a road through to park home but couldn’t properly navigate anymore ending with him getting lost, If it hadn’t been a summer night he could’ve certainly got hurt or worse from exposure.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/21 06:52 AM
15

Not just women, I’ve heard stories of a couple male friends who go out get roofied too.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/21 05:42 AM
7

I’ve been protesting the “clubbing scene” my whole life by staying away from it so more power to them, it’s a wretched world IMO.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/21 05:40 AM
2

You don’t wanna be called a TERF? Don’t act like one.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/21 05:32 AM
6

That’s fine but you can’t argue with the fact that society views men as inherently dangerous and not being able to control them (by them being non-conforming) rubs against human nature itself. It’s honestly quite simple, “man = dangerous, make him soldier = controlled = good. Non-conforming = uncontrolled = bad.” That’s what we have to fight against, that’s why the bigotry behind transphobia is so visceral.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 11:28 PM
3

Because non conforming women are just "silly confused tomboys" to transphobes, but men being non conforming is socially unacceptable.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 11:16 PM
17

So hypothetically, if in the future a trans woman can get a reproductive organ transplant, do they still not deserve the right to an abortion because they were born a male?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 10:12 PM
10

Someone awarded their comment so they clearly do, I hope y'all mods are monitoring for extremist sentiments...
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 10:09 PM
6

So then why are you seemingly so protective of the to you so "important" sexes? Maybe you just don't understand, but it actively hurts trans people to try and rub it in their face like that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 10:02 PM
3

So trans people should just fester in their dysphoric misery because you feel uncomfortable with more fluid gender boundaries?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 09:59 PM
9

That's what makes a woman, Being able to get pregnant? So are trans men not real men to you? Do you believe they don't have a place here? Is it really that difficult to separate sex and gender, Or are you choosing not to?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 09:55 PM
14

without being misandrists I highly doubt that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 09:41 PM
37

Indeed, They view them as some kind of evil male infiltrators. Though I've also met TERF's who were just extremely mad that some trans women pass better as women then them, the supposedly cis "real" women.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 08:42 PM
3

Good, if they want to burn their own country down out of sheer stupidity I say let them. Sometimes being stupid has to hurt, otherwise they never learn.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/10/21 08:33 PM
146

This is the expected fallout of the whole “just talk about your feelings lol” solution to “toxic masculinity”, people don’t actually want men to talk about how they feel as you can see they have an extremely adverse reaction too it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/10/21 01:13 PM

Misgendering men has no place in a left wing sub though IMO.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/21 05:56 AM

Don't, I just read the thread you're referring too and the OP is clearly an FDS user since she called the women here "pickmes". They'll just start drama, since FDS users are usually just misandrist bigots and they'll ultimately make us look like the villains again.

"patriarchy" a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it. Since they themselves admit not all men hold power they should stop misusing the world "patriarchy", it's an oligarchy like how difficult is it to use the right term?

The pill can fail, condoms break and a vasectomy can reverse itself so the only truly safe way to prevent unwanted pregnancy for a man is to not have sex creating more incels, is that what we want? Also a man should not have to get a potentially permanent surgical operation to enjoy the “privilege” of sex, that just doesn’t jive with my left wing beliefs.

kinkshaming is just kinkshaming, at worst it might be considered bullying. "sexual-preferences-shaming" is called bigotry. Honestly that Wiktionary definition is probably problematic, because it almost implies that being gay, straight or anything in between is a kink... now that deserves a "yikes".

sexual preference - Wiktionary reverse uno card Wrong, a kink is just that, a kink. Sexual Preference is an inherent preference of sexual partner I.e. Homo/heterosexuality. My last piece of advice: You seem to be constructing a victim narrative for yourself, imagining a simple response to be "aggressive". And it clearly shows since you've been projecting your "opponent" to be taking it too "personally" which in fact you subconsciously know you've been doing yourself. Do not trap yourself in a mental cage like that, it's not good for your mental health.
/r/seduction20/12/20 12:11 AM

You're just lucky you have a socially acceptable prejudice, yet somehow you're too far into your cognitive dissonance to understand. I tried to neatly explain with a simple analogy, but you just went right for baseless bickering instead. I can clearly see you have no interest in gender equality and so I have not reason to argue with you any further.

I don't know it was some pop-feminist article that painted it like a good thing.

Honestly I can't find an exact number of female and male rules throughout human history, though I do know that female rulers were 27% more likely to wage war so 🤷‍♀️

era, after thousands of years of celebrating male accomplishment, people want to feel like society is going somewhere different, and female leadership symbolizes this change. Y'all should really open a history book at some point, female leadership is nothing new. Hatshepsut Nefertiti Sammuramat Cleopatra Eleanor of Aquitaine Isabella I of Castile Catherine de Medici Mary Queen of Scots Elizabeth I Amina Mbande Nzinga Catherine the Great Victoria Tzu-hsi Liliuokalani Golda Meir Indira Gandhi Marg…

It shows societies priorities, we STILL see men as disposable. The next time war breaks out, we’ll see which countries only preach equality and which actually are.

My god how dare those MRA's radicalize you into... homosexuality /s

Oh I know America has a long way to go when it comes to right for all people, including men. Luckily for me I don’t live there 😁

Wow there buddy, “The misandrist left” is a small fraction of the larger progressive movement and I believe we can ally with our own side as long as we keep educating them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/12/20 03:28 PM

No, we’re here I assume because we are all left leaning and the right has to many fundamental ideas I disagree with that I just can’t ally with them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/12/20 02:43 PM

Sadly you’re right, most people expect men who claim to be victims to actually be abusers.

Apparently if you’re girlish enough you’re allowed to dodge the draft lol.

Say that to the men who were raped and then laughed at because of trash opinions like yours.

It's simple, don't rationalize misandry, it's not helpful.

He doesn't need too, Bloomberg already did, "Stop-and-frisk".

It should be legal up until viability so 24 weeks give or take, but I hate discussing it because it's one point in men's right I feel will never become equal. The government will never take responsibility away from men, even if it would be fair I.E. when men want to commit a "paper abortion" and it can leave me seething sometimes because I really care about "true equality".

I couldn't hate them either, I know they were fed the narrative from childhood because I was, the only reason I'm skeptical of it now is because I'm skeptical of everything.

I have my suspicions that people who think that way also have a very simplified view of men, and might just see the world very one dimensionally.

seeing women as angels with the strength of marines and a great sense of humor Alright, what idiot ACTUALLY thinks this?

Its quite simple really, Wikipedia is seen as a trusted source of information, so control the information to control the people. If’s politics 101.

Sofia Taloni, influenced people to set up fake accounts, pretend to be gay, and "out" the gay men who were hiding their sexuality. Let me just say, what a grade A cunt.

They view Men as worker bee sacrifices for the economy We're lucky they've mostly gotten rid of conscription in the west, else being sacrificed to the economy would be the least of our worries.

The difference is men HAVE to pull their own weight, women are allowed too.

You literally have stockholm syndrome with an unfair world, not realizing that people here want to make it more fair, and then you just mock them for it 🤦‍♀️ If you do this again we can stop this chatter here because it isn't even worth talking to you. There is no if, I'm ending it here goodbye 🙋‍♀️

Yeah don't internalize it, kids taken away? Just own up to it, you didn't deserve them anyways, you're homeless? Just accept it and move on, you're a man so you should be able to provide for yourself. And if you can't you can always kill yourself, become part of the infamous statistic. This is the world you want?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/11/20 10:50 AM

Impressive, you somehow insulted both men AND women in your post. Btw, your point is basically "man up" which isn't a valid argument.

"Man up" How progressive of you /s

Feminism doesn't have a monopoly on female egalitarianism, and they do have a bunch of infighting with subgroups take the TERFS as an example. But that's the point, keep "both" movements divided and fighting with each other so they don't unify and go after the real problem, It's classic divide and conquer.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/11/20 11:18 PM

We're finally moving toward equality and now they're having second thoughts because it's not all privilege's, how ironic.

Not nearly as much as 18 years of supporting a child though.

It's almost like women get a lot of hand-outs and men are only expected to hand-out 🤔
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/10/20 11:26 PM
5

The government doesn't either, they just don't want to "waste money" 🤷🏻‍♂️
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/10/20 11:23 PM

But it's still the womans decision to have the child even if they can't support them, and the government isn't going to take that risk.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/10/20 10:30 PM

It's impossible, women are the ones carrying the baby and so they have the right to abort it, which is fair enough so men 'should' have to right to abstain from their parental privilege and duties but because that would put a significant social and economic burden on the government it'll never happen. So eventually the discussion will just devolve into pro-life arguments, "If he didn't want kids he shouldn't have had sex".
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/10/20 09:34 PM

No 'clock' Men past their 20's still get the "ticking clock" feeling though.

Just don't, people won't die if they don't date.
