It is quite common for victims of false allegations to be ruined and exhausted after the long judicial process, and the last thing they want to do is to start another one. Moreover, it is not even enough to prove the innocence of the accused, she can claim that she experienced it as a rape or whatever bullshit. There is even the risk of receiving more false allegations in revenge or tactically. I can understand that people tend to give up, I definitely wouldn't have the strength to continue.

Sorry, I should have paid more attention instead of skim reading.
