There's enough vitriol that to the outside, MGTOW sound basically same as incels.

Yep. I will never call myself a feminist even if I agree with some of their ideas, and I will never call myself a MGTOW(2) even though I agree with the premise. Both groups house too many haters but don't disavow them or their ideas because they're trying to maintain a big tent of support.

Most guys lose their feelings once a month, and they come back after about a week.

Yeah, protect your sperm so as not to be taken advantage by a woman. But elevating biological fatherhood to the point where a wet dream is some sort of immense loss that we should grieve -- what a crock.

Even if their culture gives them a different mentality about gender relations, once you bring them to the U.S. they are going to pick up on the culture from other American women. Eddie Murphy had a long skit about that in "Raw." Eddie Murphy on Marriage Eddie Murphy on Finding an African Wife

Here are general rules of attitude for young men that not only help with moving on, but dating in general: I am good enough. I may not be the right person for everyone, or be the "best," but I have intrinsic value that is good enough for anyone. I am not interested in anyone who is not interested in me. Since I know I am good enough, if she is not interested in me, she either is too blind to see my value, or we are not compatible. In either case, why would I spent any emotional energy chasing af…

Avoid buying a new car. Buy an older classic car and fix it up...the book value will be low, but you will avoid paying high taxes, insurance, monthly car payment. It's possible to fix up a classic car that was $80,000 when new, but only gets valued by the system at $3000. Yet it will look and perform like new and you'll have spent < $10,000 on it. A new car is not an investment; it's a depreciating asset.

A prostitution contract is easily executed with explicit terms that lead to both partners satisfied. Either party can easily end the contract any time without it costing you anything other than lost services.

You need to (1) gain a deep understanding that romance is not the key to happiness, and (2) realize that romance is not the same thing as love. Find the right friends who love you and romance becomes optional.

I posed the question to a family lawyer once, "if I don't plan on having kids, and I make more money than my partner, what benefit do I get from getting married?" After a very long pause and deep thinking from the lawyer... "She will be allowed to visit you in the hospital if there is an emergency."

I'd start with a Big Brother program. If that suits you, go for an adoption. Then find a woman who fits into the life you just created for yourself if you still think it's necessary. In your thinking, you are confounding the ideas of children, sex, and a lifelong partner. You've put yourself in the difficult position of trying to find all three through the fantasy of a single woman. When you think you've found that woman, you'll be tempted to give up too much power to her because you'll think su…

I think most older MGTOW played the game, "won" it, and then realized that the prizes sucked, weren't delivered, or that the penalties were so severe and frequent it wasn't worth playing in the first place.

Part of it is that young men are competitive with each other in general, and most young women are selective about who they have sex with, so it turns sex into a commodity. The act of having more of that commodity makes you feel more successful than your peers. In contrast, young men don't get points by bragging about how often they jerk off (because access to masturbation is not a commodity) or having sex with lots of prostitutes (unless it's so frequent that it's an indication of wealth).

Warren Farrell used to lead feminist groups until he realized they got co-opted by misandrists. As a movement, MGTOW could end up being the complement of radical feminism if we don't actively weed out the people who just want a comfortable place where their hatred gets validated and sanctified. They have to be publicly repudiated or people will interpret silence as passive acceptance. To an extent, they would be correct.

One of the consequences of divorce is that boys are too often left without older men as mentors but are instead left with their mothers defining what it means to be a man, or rely on other boys who are just as clueless. One of the goals of MGTOW ought to be to prevent boys / young men from having to learn the hard way, after it is too late.

Spend some time and create five lists: All the advantages to you of getting married. Don't confuse making her happy as one of your advantages. All the disadvantages to you while being married. All the disadvantages to you of getting a divorce. All the advantages to you of being single. All the disadvantages to you of being single. Get input from lots of guys - single, married, and divorced. You'll figure out what to do.

Regarding women: you will never make a relationship work just by trying your damnedest and being a good man; leave a relationship the moment you recognize it isn't working for you, her, or both - no guilt, and no regrets.

4 rules / mindset for young men who want to date (took me decades to fully understand): Always use your own condoms. Never rely on a woman for birth control because a man must be responsible for his own destiny. You are good enough. You may not be the best or most perfect, but you are good enough for her. It doesn't matter who she is. If you think this way, you will never approach a relationship from a mindset of inferiority and act like a coward or a fool. I am not interested in someone who is …

You probably have never met a "lipstick" lesbian couple, or at least didn't realize it. There isn't always a top; most lesbians are switches.

I'd say, participate and see if we can learn from each other. There will probably be issues you may not relate well to, and others where you will have more insight than any man could because you have the unique perspective of a woman who has pursued other woman.

I won't use the phrase in jest any more since it offends (assuming your response is representative). However, I think since gender derives from cultural and psychological identity, even in the absence of apparent choice, attraction to a particular gender is probably more malleable than most people think it is. I see no reason to place gender as a more important and fixed aesthetic than having a preference for age, race, family (non)relation, etc., except that we're conditioned from an early age …

I understand what you're saying about 'lifestyle.' Many people think it has to do with external activities rather than an internal state, so when I say I'm living "a gay lifestyle" I find it amusing that those people are taken aback. Maybe someone who is actually gay might take offense?

To be openly gay means you're living the essence of having gone your own way; you've chosen to be true to who you are even though it requires you to actively defy social expectations of what it means to be a man, and how you are supposed to live your life in relation to women. Even though there's difference in the details, heterosexual MGTOW ought to have respect for that. I've often joked to my friends who ask "are you seeing anyone / do you have a girlfriend" by saying, no, I am living a "gay …

Masterful, but make sure your child is well taken care of in the meantime and you are involved in her / his life as much as you can. Paying for college and graduation is not going to suddenly fix years of the mother telling your child you are a loser, or the potential resentment of your child knowing s/he went without because you hid your assets.

Not wanting to sleep outside your race is one level of racism, but not wanting to date someone within your race because of who they slept with is a whole different level of cooties.

Issue is...in my experience as a black man, when a white woman starts having sex with black men, she won't stop. LOL, you've figured out on your own "Once you go black, you never go back."
