You know those scenes in the movies where the girl 100% trusts, has faith, believes in her guy, but we as the audience see what’s really going on and/or coming - that. It’s heart breaking because you know that’s the moment she loses her faith in men. That’s the death of love for her. As stupid as it sounds, that’s what some boys see and think “I’d be different”. It’s about sustaining that faith. Or that respect. Or that boundary. It’s all puppy love; pure, naïve, serene.

It’s not “what did women get that I didn’t.” That’s how women think It’s, “I invested time money and identity in a worthless endeavor that was really just about distraction this whole time” and now someone wants me to stay that course for THEM.
