But that's why I'm saying that you're hardcore projecting. You're bringing in a hypothetical ( the "well she would've gotten a lower sentence" thing) and projecting your own personal rape-allegation experience on this completely unrelated topic. The thing is that he didn't press charges and depending on state laws I don't think that the police can actually spring up that kind of investigation without charges being pressed. This is late, but it should make you feel better, nothing is going to happen bc the guy didn't press charges. Nothing about a double standard (or at least the one you're referring to) but simply legal.

The man didn't do anything. You can say that there are reasons for that, but he didn't press charges or come out as a victim of anything. Also, porn people in general get treated differently. James Dean was accused several time over the course of years and he still works

Not trying to virtue bait or anything since I have no clue what this subreddit is about (on mobile and I was searching for porn) but there are actually plenty of males who do complain when they leave even though it's very unlikely for their lives to be that affected by the porn thing.
