This this this ! Doesn’t have to be secret. Just have some savings. Don’t give up your job, don’t Move to a country where you don’t Know anyone or your qualifications don’t ‘count’. All men put themselves first naturally. Male socialisation. So by putting yourself first you just even the playing field.

Read this article - very good and true. https://markmanson.net/relationship-advice 1,500 PEOPLE GIVE ALL THE RELATIONSHIP ADVICE YOU’LL EVER NEED Basically respect is the key item. If he doesn’t respect you then he won’t really care what you want or think or say. How do you know he respects you? This is tricky! Paying attention to if he listens and takes on your ideas. Stops when you say ‘stop’. Knows what you like.

If you need help sleeping read ‘Why we sleep’ by Matthew Walker. V good. Stop taking the Ambien. Husband - only you know if he’s worth it. But if not then don’t say anything to him, just quietly withdraw and get your act and plan together. He’s knowingly had sex with you when you can’t recall. He doesn’t deserve your respect.

I’d concentrate on yourself. Stop thinking about him. Use that time to do interesting things. This is win win. He will (probably) want you more and if he doesn’t you’ve just benefited yourself. Concentrate on what he has said and done, not want you want it to be. It’s really hard !! But you got this ! FDS all the way.

Bullet dodged ! I had one where the dude was so really really rude to me because I ordered the house white wine. So in the end I tipped the bottle of ‘crappy’ wine over his head, threw my wine in his face and walked out. Many years ago in the days before camera phones! Ghosted him, he still sent me flowers after.

The test is always if the sexes were reversed, would the same be expected? Woman goes shopping and brings it in. Friends make a big fuss. Never gonna happen. 50 50 chores in relationship. Anything less is for losers.

True. More I guess, have someone attractive you know would take you out for dinner. Even if you don’t go, the option is there

Love this sub! Tell it. If a man can’t even make an effort to think of a nice place and book it, why on Earth are they suddenly going to be interesting to be with? And if it’s all booked then find the cool place that doesn’t take reservations, plan to get there early, plan to have something to do in the queue, make a plan for afterwards. Is that really rocket science?

Yes! Always have a ‘plan B’ man, that obv likes you and would do if something happened to the first choice. This also keeps the first choice on their toes. Even when married it helps keeps things equal. He starts ‘joking’ about how he’s bored and you are lucky to have him...... you smile and organise dinner with Plan B, or go out with girlfriends. Openly laugh that he could do better. Keep investing in yourself and be financially independent. Be proud of yourself and kind to yourself!

Yeah ! Apart from being just bad manners, it’s like sending a photo of an empty saucepan and saying ‘hungry?’. Errr no, you need to DO something with it for it to be interesting. I guess they judge us by their (oh so low) standards. They’d fuck anything that would have them.

Just finished Susan Jeffers ‘Feel the fear, and do it anyway’. OMG an oldly but a goodie! If you haven’t read it, I totally recommend. Life changing stuff. Best $6 you’ll spend all year. That book plus daily meditation has given me the life I want. You need to do the meditation to work out what life YOU want. And delete social media apps

Totally agree. Plus once it get serious you don’t want to have kids with someone who travels / works shifts. You want 50\50 childcare. Get a man who understands that both your careers will take a childcare hit, but that you’ll be much better off by both earning $75k than one $0 and one $150k. Get a man who views having children and earning money as a team effort, not an excuse for him to work long hours then fuck his secretary as you don’t ‘understand him’ anymore.

Agree. Just look at the places where there is a male sauna and a strip joint next to it. Most men want sex as easy as they can get it. Know your worth ! They don’t respect things they don’t work for.

The key is self care and good boundaries. You have to work on yourself to make sure you are clear about what makes YOU happy. Once you’ve done that, you know what you enjoy, you have an interesting life that doesn’t require being in a relationship. At that point, In my experience, it’s easy to find someone to date, as you already know what you need for you. You are then looking for EXTRA from a man, not crumbs. You’ll have respect for yourself, as per this sub, and you’ll find someone who respec…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
