On the surface, I don't think you did anything wrong. You were friendly, yet you were flirtatious, signaling sexual interest. Enough so that she picked up on it and said "no". Sometimes that happens. Good advice. Couple days after our wedding, some engineers at work told me we should live on my salary and bank hers. So we did. Their logic was she would want to stay home for a while after the baby came. Excellent advice that every guy should listen to. For me, being a orbiter/simp is self destructive and degrading. Some guys have the inate ego and street smarts to have never done it.
