I'm not really sure it matters though, physical abuse and emotional abuse are both terrible, and there are more and less terrible examples of both. I really wonder how y'all would judge a situation with reversed genders. What if a mother left her baby at the father's house and disappeared, and the father then emotionally abused the kid (doing exactly the same things that a toxic mother does). I'm not saying that it's okay to be emotionally abusive, but rather than judging single parents, maybe society should try to help them and their kids.

Have you actually tried this in a crowded train or bus? If you ask when there are other seats available, people will naturally wonder why you have to sit on that seat in particular.

The "manspreading" thing is ridiculous, because it is a none-issue. It barely ever happens that someone takes up extra space in a crowded train by spreading their legs too much. That said, it is even more ridiculous to complain about "Shebagging". I travel a lot by public transportation and it has happened a total of two times that someone refused to remove their bag when I asked them to. This is even more of a none-issue!
