It's not a bad thing by itself, but there are factors to consider: - When women amass an unsustainable amount of student debt, who pays for it? Loan forgiveness would be a transfer of wealth from men to women. - Is there still government or public money being spent on scholarships, outreach, and training programs specifically for women? This money could be spent in a gender neutral way instead, and doing so might help fix the gender imbalance in higher education. - If there is an overabubdance o…

Not really true, as a woman I've also had to learn how to process and hide many emotions. This really speaks to a lack of self reflection. Women and men absolutely do not face the same, or even similar consequences for displaying emotion. Think about what would happen if you cried at work, or said a male colleague made you feel uncomfortable in private. Nothing like what happens if you flip the genders. Where are the solutions? Social problems require social solutions, it would be sufficient if …

It's not about being honest with yourself, it's about being forced to learn which of your emotions is acceptable to broadcast to the outside world. Women don't need to worry about that because their emotions are socially acceptable. If you're sad, you can cry. If a man is sad, he chooses not to cry because he knows this will damage his social standing and repulse women. He's still sad. If you're angry, you can yell and throw things, maybe even hit your partner. If a man is angry, he holds it in …

You handled this poorly. Women have trouble expressing their feelings in healthy ways because society coddles them, treats their emotional outbursts as something to be proud of, and tells them that reality is subjective. Reality for men is not subjective, so when you hear a man say he feels like he's taking on more of the workload it's because he's being nice and not saying something more realistic like "I've thought about it carefully and kept track of how much work we're both doing." On the ot…

Male conscription is and has always been an inevitable outcome of war. Even in countries that don't have a draft or that have some kind of guarantee of equality between men and women, when push comes to shove the government will give itself emergency powers and use them to force men to fight and die, and it will likely enjoy popular support in doing so. The answer isn't to campaign for equal treatment, the end of the draft, equality of the sexes, etc. because any victories there will be unwound …

Society has a certain amount of work that needs to be done and we do more of it. You can give half of it to your spouse, or stay single and face a higher tax burden which will mostly be spent on the gender that does less work.

Delusion is not self esteem, someone who thinks she deserves a significantly better partner than one she can reasonably expect to be with is not in a position to lead a happy, fulfilling life. If this were an individual thing then one woman shooting herself in the foot wouldn't be a problem, but it's infected all of society. We tell women to expect the world from men, in exchange for nothing. Every woman is a queen, they shouldn't have to settle, women shouldn't date losers (can women even be lo…

The survey found that the people most likely to stray were male, but that women are not exempt, either. 25 per cent of those who admitted to cheating were male, compared to 13 per cent of females surveyed. Is this a typo? The first says that 25% of cheaters were male (so the other 75% were female?) and the second just says that 13% of surveyed women cheat. Those aren't the same stats.

There's also the question of whether the illness prevents someone from continuing to contribute to a relationship. If a breadwinner gets ill and has access to insurance or some kind of disability benefit then things aren't too bad. If a stay at home parent gets ill and doesn't get any kind of financial compensation then the working one either has to do double duty or hire a full time caregiver.

Just get some employable skills and go south. America is tainted by leftist policies too but if you're the kind of person who makes their own way you will live a better life here. Less interference from biased laws, aggressive taxation, morality police, etc.

Car safety is a multi billion dollar industry, whether or not we're prioritizing it correctly is a hard problem that really isn't related to gender equality. The only reason the topic of car safety and gender exists is because feminists, desperate to find relevant talking points, looked at a mountain of data showing that men are the primary victims of car accidents and cherry picked the one out of context stat they could find to make it seem like women are being neglected. They don't care about …
/r/MensRights30/09/22 11:22 AM

More than 70% of car accident deaths are men, it's obviously more important to address that than it is to redesign car safety to be better for women.

Female entitlement is looking at areas where men have objectively worse outcomes and demanding a greater proportion of the resources allocated to tackling those issues. Autistic men have worse life outcomes than autistic women, men are the lion's share of car crash victims, and men have significantly worse health outcomes than women overall. Why does a proportionate response to these issues feel like oppression to you?

Being a medical test subject is a job. If women aren't inclined to do that job, fewer studies can be run on women.
/r/MensRights29/09/22 07:12 PM
6

You presented these things as medicine catering to men. In reality, all of society caters to women and that's why they don't have to resort to being medical test subjects. Men work the majority of dangerous and uncomfortable jobs, especially when there's a risk of lifelong illness, and this is one example of that.
/r/MensRights29/09/22 04:23 PM

Do you think researchers choose more men on purpose, or maybe that people who sign up to take untested medication for cash are more likely to be male?
/r/MensRights29/09/22 03:58 PM
7

If you have 80% male test subjects, and 20% female test subjects, your data will be make centered and any deviations in women will be drown out. Why? Scientists write down the gender of participants, it's not like they have to bin all the data together and forget where it came from.
/r/MensRights29/09/22 03:29 PM

Medications are mostly tested on men because low income men are the only people desperate enough to sign up for medical studies. Society gives unsuccessful women a much softer landing than taking unapproved pills for cash. Men are the huge majority of motor vehicle fatalities. Safety systems should be designed for them. Autistic women present differently and have fewer negative social impairments, why would we prioritize diagnosing them? Office temperature should be the lowest of what's comforta…

IATs aren't great measures of real world attitudes or discrimination, but it's important to look at results like this because they help us understand how evidence and social science reporting works overall, and how false or misleading narratives can be countered. These kinds of things get trotted out all the time to support divisive race politics, but if you actually look at any of the data you basically find that men are the black people of gender. The violence is coming exclusively from members of a certain minority group, but there's not much we can do to start a wider dialogue about it because the majority of the city leans too far into woke territory. The mainstream media won't even publish the race of the attackers. Of course, if a white person did any of those things they'd be charged with an actual hate crime and the media would be talking about how we've got to ban conservatives from the internet. If you actually read the text you'll see that the authors also found no evidence of a gender disparity. The study you linked has an absolutely wild recorded data set, 90% of the divorces they recorded were female patients, enrollment was subjective and based on the decisions of the same people who formed the hypothesis, which was biased from the outset. It's not good social science research, and of course the researchers weren't even social scientists. The fact that you'd derive your world view …

Do men approach you, ask you out on dates, offer to pay the bill, try to start a relationship with you, etc? If you're 24 and that's not part of your life then that's really unfortunate, but definitely not the norm. Best thing would be to try to picture what would happen if you did lose your job, or at least took a significant pay cut. If you have a husband, he'll probably step up until you get things back on track. Very few divorces are initiated by men for financial reasons but when women init…

Lots of replies are misinterpreting this, but to be clear the late 30s is when women and men finally start to be treated about equally. For women, particularly attractive ones, this will be the first time they no longer receive privileged treatment. This can come as a shock because prior to that, they could get away with making a lot of mistakes that men have had to learn not to make. Spending too much, slacking off at work, losing a job, choosing a bad career path or major, etc. can quickly mak…

If this was related to the second shift problem then there wouldn't need to be so much overt discrimination against men at the hiring stage just for things to still look unequal. Women have the advantage in grade school where they receive higher grades for the same work. They are held to lower standards than men when applying to college and get more scholarships to go there. They are treated favorably when applying to jobs right out of college. The fact that men are still as well represented as …

The world really needs to come around and accept the undeniable fact that men are willing to work significantly harder than women, and that things like the wage gap and higher representation in competitive, high paying jobs are natural. For every tech, finance, or big law job there are simply more men willing to work eay harder to land it. Feminists demanded half those jobs for women, and the result was staggeringly different standards. Men face an insane amount of discrimination these days, fro…

Now let's get retractions on the dozens of puff piece articles people wrote citing this. Feminists have been writing them since 2015, and they're not exactly known for scientific rigor. It's also pretty telling how quickly the authors were to fill their paper with sexist conclusions instead of pausing to think about whether the results seemed reasonable. Not necessarily saying it was deliberate, but without this mistake there wouldn't have been a publication to begin with. Incentives in academia…

Dude why are you arguing with her? It's pointless, if you are right then you need to be confident about it and quit seeking her validation. The most hilarious take I've seen on reddit is that older men date younger women because women their own age wouldn't put up with their bullshit. Sure, because a thirty year old man who can get with a twenty year old is only doing so out of desperation.

Most men have roughly similar preferences in dating, just like most women. Feminism is the dominant social movement right now and that means they have the privilege of trying to rewrite male preferences to suit their desires, mostly by pretending that normal preferences are deviant and shaming people who are willing to admit they have them. Men interested in pursuing long term relationships prefer women who are younger and who have had fewer sexual partners. This doesn't agree with the feminist …

Making it about the guy's maturity is a good way to avoid saying you like money and status. One thing you'll never hear from a woman is that she likes a guy because he's mature for his age.

Love it when they end up with a solution that basically involves begging older men to date them. There's no value proposition, no argument in favor of it, they literally have nothing other than to post passive aggressive shit calling everyone a pedophile or shaming younger women who date up.

Also worth remembering that men are more likely to be the victims of unprovoked violent attacks than women. She's not asking AA to adjust their policy based on reality, she's asking for special privileges based on her completely unrealistic risk assessment.

The wage gap exists because men need money more than women do, and are therefore willing to work harder to get it. Women consistently rank a man's employment in their top priorities for dating, while for the most part men don't care. Most women still expect men to pay for dates, have their own place, own a car, etc. even if they don't meet those criteria themselves. Job loss is second only to infidelity in ending marriages. How on earth could you expect the wage gap to go away under these condit…

It's not chemistry if the guy can get that reaction from any woman he goes out with, it's just called game. If you only fuck guys with game, don't be surprised when they can play other women as well. I always see women sharing these tips about how many dates to wait, but all that does is test persistence a little bit. Nobody really wants to show their hand until sex happens these days, that's just a fact of life. Truth is there's no secret to keeping a guy around. First date, third date, twelfth…

Therapy for men has become a big talking point for leftist women lately, I've met many who legitimately believe that without therapy, men are toxic and unsuitable for a relationship. I think it's part of a more pervasive culture of women agreeing with each other about all the things they "deserve", seeing men as a whole coming up short, and deciding that the right solution is an army of therapists going around telling men about their privilege and trying to guilt them out of their masculinity.

What about my post says we should dismiss the finding? I think it's extremely critical that we highlight it, but the message should be that feminist "academics" ruined data collection with their ideology, not that 25% of men have actually been raped by women.

It's a bit different here imo, if you aren't actively contributing to a retirement account by your late twenties or early thirties then you aren't really in a position where your life is on track. I'm not about blaming women for wanting a successful man, I'm just happy to explain why they can't get one that matches their other laundry list of ridiculous demands. So one thing you didn't mention here is the methodology the CDC uses to determine whether someone was raped. They ask a list of questions, which includes things like "have you ever had sex when you didn't want to?" which many people will answer yes to even if they don't view what happened as rape. They don't check for coercion, use of force, any action by the purported victim that would indicate lack of consent, or even whether the victim thought they had consented despite not really wanting to.…

Yeah my experience is only in STEM, I'm not sure where you'd even go to get a PhD in traditional finance these days. The professors teaching undergrads those classes are all way more technical in their own research or retired from banking or consulting.

It's way better in the US, but a math PhD can do it in quant finance or research at a hedge fund. Glorified number pushing or sales jobs like accounting and banking won't get you there unless you claw your way up to some kind of partner or MD level, and for that you would want to get in as young as possible to build seniority.

Depends on what you get it in. A STEM PhD from a good school takes 5 years, 4 if you commit to going into industry, and can start you with a low to mid 6 figure job right away, potentially leading to 7 if you go into tech or finance.

Feminism has taught women that they should expect their partners to do an equal share of household work, but not that their partner should have an equal say in how to run the household. So they act like his boss or manager, and feminists are ready with another narrative that this is actually labor inflicted on them by men! So being bossed around by your wife is now you being sexist against her.

A woman's test in life is material, a man's test in life is a woman. That's from one of Chappelle's stand ups. Women are satisfied in life when they have material possessions. Nice clothes, fashion, expensive beauty treatments. Those are how women tell other women that they are better than them. Men do the same thing, but by proxy. A high status man doesn't carry a fancy handbag or wear expensive makeup, but his wife certainly does.

Do you think there’s a medium where the two can meet and have a respectful conversation? There used to be, but feminists killed it once they came up with the idea of male privilege and gathered enough institutional power not to need the help of moderate leaning people. It's also a light virtue signal that she's strong and independent and has successfully protected her children from bad men. Except for the part where she fucked their fathers, but baby steps right? This is the sa…

I mean, I'm not Californian and didn't vote for any of these people. The problem conservatives have is that we're often faced with choosing between crazy people with good opinions about governance and well put together people with terrible policy proposals. I obviously blame other, dumber Republicans for their primary choices but that doesn't change anything.

As much of a train wreck Jenner is, he's still a conservative who's against the inclusion of trans athletes in female sports and supports freedom from government overreach. Most politicians are smarter and more stable, but that doesn't cure them of their terrible opinions.

I’m 37 years old, born and raised in Israel and live the life of a teenage girl; therefore, I appear in my 20’s. I doubt this very, very much. Why do these women keep acting like saying things over and over again makes them true?

Usually when women make this connection it's incorrect. Her problem is that she only gives herself out to the most attractive men willing to date her, who weren't going to commit anyway. It's not like she's sleeping with beta male providers on day one and they're running away.

The fantasy was that you said yes when I asked you out, but you didn't. This is it, right here. We aren't here to hate on women and revel in their suffering (although sometimes a bit of schadenfreude for self inflicted issues is justified), we're here to educate men and women on the consequences of the lifestyle being sold to them by feminism and the mainstream media. I'd love to live in a world where women chose good, quality men early in their lives. It's better for men, women, and children th…

I always prefer inspins. Most could find sex if they really wanted to and some do, but they will never meet a man who lives up to their standards and who also chooses them for a relationship.

There's actually some good advice there for men if you ignore the genders. Always stay away from anyone who says all of their exes were crazy, abusive, false accusers, rapists, etc. Either they have no clue how to pick a good partner or they're the type to make shit up or start fights. Rape isn't actually that common, but every insane feminist will have some story about how she was tipsy or didn't say yes aggressively enough or felt pressured or whatever to justify their one in three thing. Avoi…

That's because she's turned herself into a man. She knows she's given up her youth and femininity so she writes a profile demanding a traditional man and calling herself a traditional woman, because that's what women do on dating apps. Write a fantasy story where they're the princess and interpret right swipes and messages as evidence that her fantasies are reality. The words make her feel good but they are not the truth. Men do make good friends though. Have a beer with her, sleep with her if t…

Yeah okay. If you aren't open minded you won't like her job? That's because she's a sex worker with fake tits and a few decades of mileage beyond the point where she'd have been able to find a guy to rescue her. If a happy ending was coming she'd already be living it.

In this case, I think she's correct. Sometimes men feel emasculated when their partner is stronger, more emotionally stable, makes more money, etc. It's a form of insecurity, albeit one that women enforce on men with their hypergamy. Her behavior just sounds dehumanizing, but that doesn't compute for her because she doesn't see men as people. She's looking at a totally human response to her abuse and saying "emasculation" because it shifts the blame.

As we all know here, "emasculated" is what women say when men express legitimate feelings of dissatisfaction in a relationship. It's like their default replacement for the normal human emotions that they want to pretend men aren't capable of feeling. If a woman feels attacked by a man's yelling she fears for her life and he is abusive. If a man feels attacked by a woman's yelling, she's just strong willed and his toxic masculinity makes him feel emasculated. If a man nags a woman about chores he…

"Younger me wouldn't have appreciated you" also means "I'll never treat you as well as the guys who excited me back then." Guys know when they punch above their weight class and appreciate the memories. Women don't, so if you aren't her best you aren't good enough.

Further, we could rightly suppose that he isn’t really her boyfriend in any sense, that they weren’t really together and she likely tried to make him become her beau. Well if we're being real that's probably where the baby came from. Wouldn't be surprised if the cohabitation started after pregnancy as well.

Implying women don't actively seek out these kind of men for tingles and excitement. Nobody making posts like this was duped into dating someone who did time.

If you weren't already 100% undeniably sure that she knew this guy was a bad apple, consider the fact that she literally chose to make a baby with a man who has a probation officer. Talk about hitching your wagon to the wrong horse.

If the only way a woman in her 20s knows she's attractive is "deep down" then she isn't attractive. The customer is always right, so the fact that nobody's buying means you have a bad product.

For a more sinister take, consider the fact that older women are competing with younger women for the same men. Why would a successful thirty year old woman give good advice to the women her male peers want to date? They need to come around and see her for the queen she actually is.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen16/04/21 05:43 PM

This is happening because decades of feminist rhetoric has taught women that violence is only a problem when it's male on female. So many women think physical aggression is appropriate when their man isn't behaving how they'd like.

It's too easy to take advice that says "fuck around with the hottest guys you can find" for them to apply much critical thinking to where it's coming from.

Classic example of women sabotaging other women by offering them bad advice. God forbid someone tells young women the reality of their dating prospects after thirty.

I think the most telling thing here is she defends her standards by saying she had a successful dating life and tons of potential suitors. She also mentions the fact that her one night stands come from people she's friends with or becomes friends with, which in reality means orbiters and guys she's fucked who might be interested in seconds and want to keep the option on the table. This is not a successful dating life! None of these men was the successful, attractive, intellectual gentleman she t…

Never been a better time to be an attractive guy who enjoys hooking up with a variety of average women, that's for sure. There's always a bigger fish though. Male 9s can get all the 6 and 7 tail they want, but when they're looking for a relationship with another 9 they might find them all in some other, better looking guy's rotation and unwilling to settle.

These days almost every woman has a story about how one time in her early twenties she dated or hooked up with an insanely attractive man who treated her super well and did all the right things. If you date her, she'll hold you up to that standard and expect you to put in twice the effort because you aren't as good looking or charming. They never seem to ask themselves why he wasn't available for a committed relationship, but the answer is that it's the same guy in all the stories.

She might be making 100k or 200k, I don't see any reason not to believe that. However, money doesn't matter at all to the men she'd want to date. These men want an attractive, kind, feminine woman who won't make them miserable. She offers none of that, only constant whining unless you have fuckoff money and upgrade her from a six figure lifestyle to a seven figure one. But again why would a seven figure man care about her career?

I basically agree with the other reply, but I'd phrase it as an information question. If a girl makes you wait, then she either makes everyone wait or just views you as a beta option. You might want the former, but it basically doesn't exist in today's world so probably you've found the latter. If she doesn't make you wait, then she's either offering it up to everyone or she views you as an alpha option. You don't want the former, but is that really the likely option here? When you consider the …

This isn't a question of right and wrong, it's a question of cause and effect. Therefore, your personal opinion doesn't matter. Because cause and effect is not a matter of opinion. Cause and effect is that a small number of sexual partners doesn't dissuade most men from considering a woman for a relationship, everyone has their own level of comfort but demanding a virgin for marriage is still a fringe view, even if you account for the fact that most who hold it do so privately or anonymously. If…

That's a fair assessment, but if you've decided that you're still interested in dating women despite the very valid reasons not to, you need to realize that they're basically all willing to put out for someone they find very attractive, right away. These aren't stereotypical sluts who sleep with literally anyone or who have a body count in the hundreds, those are in the minority. This is the majority of women in western countries, their body counts aren't insane but each one of them will have at…

Having known plenty of guys who've been on the dating scene, self included, there really isn't much of a falloff between getting a second date and getting laid. People aren't losing their ability to pair bond by having sex where both parties fully intend to pursue a relationship, it's mostly women fucking guys who are out of their league, or promiscuous women who are trying to get as much dick as possible.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen01/03/21 09:12 PM

This might be a little controversial here, but I don't think there's anything wrong with a woman having sex on the first date if she's interested in pursuing a relationship with a guy, and in my own dating life I've never ruled someone out for doing that with me. However, what you're seeing in this post is a classic misunderstanding of cause and effect. Women draw the conclusion that sex on the first date scares men away because they don't reflect on their own behavior, and the methods they use …

This is completely the result of choices women make during their 20s when the deck is stacked in their favor. They're making more money, everyone wants to date them, and social norms put them in a position to constantly reject men's advances. If a mid 20s woman wants to lock down a man whose looks and income are about on par with hers, she can do that. If she chooses to spend those years with men who are out of her league for commitment, that's on her. If she chooses to spend them with men that …

As always, people like widows in my view can be given more a bit more leeway with wanting a high value man than baby mamas though careful consideration should still be given. I cannot on principle put widowed single moms (a victim of misfortune) on the same level as baby mamas (“victims” for their own idiotic decisions). I wouldn't get serious about a widow either, it's less an indictment of her character than being a single mother but she still has the baggage and will still expect all the same…
