I don't know... first joke that came to my head about how cool I must be based on how many FB "friends" I have. Light, self-deprecating, sarcastic humor.

Why don't you ask my 536 FACEBOOK FRIENDS!?

Right. I'm no novice and enjoy using fingers, but that was the clumsiest comment/approach I've seen in quite awhile. I thought it was a joke at first.

Wait, you used the word "covertly" and then in the next line transitioned straight from "kiss her" to "start fingering her" and no one sees an issue with this? Are we cool with the idea of testing the waters with a newly single girl, going in for a kiss, and taking that initial consent as a sign to then stick your finger in her vagina? I don't think I'm that out of touch, am I?

In the same response, you said the best approach you've seen was a girl researching your interests beforehand in order to manipulate a conversation, whole also suggesting to "not overthink it."

"Hey, so, if we leave now we'll have a lot more time in my apartment before you have to go."

Thanks! You know, I've been thinking that there's been too much solitude in my fortress lately.

Look up "Nina Hartley teaches" to find a series of videos on how to do it right.

Don't ask, "Should I put on a condom?" Instead say, "Let me go get a condom." It should be implicit that a condom will be used. It's also OK to assume, in the heat of the moment, that it is leading to sex, leading you to make that statement. She may say no, but there is nothing wrong with making that assumption. It's also OK for her to say no, and for you to be OK with that.

I'd replace "That dress looks good on you" with "You look good in that dress." The compliment should be to her, not the dress.

Get drunk, find a drunk girl that is not quite as attractive as you, and get it done. That will give you the confidence to aim higher each successive opportunity.

At first I read this as a statement on the bible being the best book for salespeople.

This month I began volunteering at a retirement home for precisely this reason. When asked why by staff, I responded, "just for conversation." My expectations have been exceeded.

I'm with you. Good message. Keep walking tall, and thanks for the insight.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
