Friends care

I rarely meet goth/punk girls, so likely I'm not their type. They also seem to have a higher likelihood of being a lesbian

When all you want is romance and all you get is platonic, it's easy to reach some negative conclusions about what being a friend is.

The two times a women offered to wing man for me, both times I was left out to dry and became the odd wheel. I'm sure women make great wing men. I just haven't experienced it.

If you do become friends, genuine friends, and then start to get romantic or sexual feelings and express them, you will be accused of never wanting to be friends in the first place. You will be told that you are a pig for wanting to have sex.

I'm not gay, why would I want to fuck myself?

Then it's not "no fault divorce" at that point
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 07:44 PM
1

It actually is. All the ceremony and vows are just for decoration. They don't legally bind anything. The marriage contract they sign does legally bind them though.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 07:43 PM
1

Woah woah woah. You said no fault divorce. Cheating makes it at fault. That's different.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 07:41 PM
1

According to who?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 07:40 PM
2

Bad marriages cause harm to children. It's better for them to have separate but happy parents than misserable but together parents. Marriage is just a financial agreement. All the ceremony and vows are just part of the celebration. You put as much emotional value as you want into it. If it isn't what you expected, why should you be punished for undoing a mistake?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 07:30 PM
2

What behavior are you trying to deter by doing that? If you want fewer divorces, you will end up with more unhappy marriages. That is what happened before no fault divorce. People stayed in crappy marriages and couldnt leave without significant financial hardship. Why punish someone for making a mistake they couldnt foresee (The mistake being getting married)?

All of these responses make me believe I dont know the true definition of what "dating" someone is. I thought it implied exclusivity. Apparently not? This kind of shit isnt really taught and I tend to have a hard time understanding these soft concepts. Should I really expect someone else, and myself, to be dating multiple people in the beginning? I always thought of those beginning as being friends.

At this point, Twitter, Reddit etc are more of a digital public square than a private platform. no, they are not. and they cannot be managed as if they were. Websites are just a computer you can access from another via IP address. Its a privately owned computer. As in you have a privilege, not a right, to use it. Follow the rules listed and you will be allowed into the computer. It sucks sometimes, but in order to let you have your websites remain untouched by others, it has to be this way.

Lack of genuine sources for help in dating IMO. What places can a guy go to for help in that area without encountering toxic behavior? At the time, red pill was the closest thing to that despite the toxicity. I found /r/bropill recently and really enjoy it. It's a hell of a lot less toxic and great for looking for advise as a guy in many aspects of life.

So can we stop saying that women are attracted to funny men now?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 07:48 PM

IDK how many times I heard the phrase "you are SO funny" only to be disapointed that it didnt mean she was attracted to me. I wish the myth of having good humor being attractive never came into my head.

I didnt realize how good a female friend could be until I got an actually good female friend in my mid 20s. She has been such a good influence on me. I felt comfortable around her. She was great for building my confidence and practicing compliments to women. I never felt like she was trying to lead me on like female friends in high school. I felt like an equal.

I need you as a friend. Either it isnt happening to me, or my friends dont want to tell me that a woman is showing interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/22 06:35 PM

my problem with this is that it assumes way too much about what the person's' mindset is. How do you know they arent already following that advice? How do you know they arent respecting themselves? Maybe they could just not understand what they are doing wrong. But you dont really wanna hear that you are not helping anyone with this kind of advice (see how snarky that comes across? regardless of your advice, nobody will follow it if you are a dink about it).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/22 06:34 PM
2

Its because the kind of advice that would be useful only comes with a lot of understanding and information of the individual. Advice from online forums are WAY too generalized to actually be any help. It ends up being "just be better" which is garbage advice at best.

So as a dude aproaching his 30s with no sex, should I try to hide it? Do I lie about it? Do I be honest and just accept that I wont be attractive to anyone now?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 11:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 10:43 PM

Would you still be friends with them? If I was dating a woman and she needed to transition into a man, IDK if I would continue dating them. Id try to stay friends, but I know I wouldnt have the same kind of love I did if she doesnt transition to being a man. Not being attracted because they transitioned is fine and perfectly normal for many people. Hating them and not trusting them because they transitioned is a bit bigoted.

I got specifics. I asked about things like chemistry and flirting. The only advice I got before would be "be yourself", which is garbage advice at best, and 'fake it till you make it'. Thats it. No answers to questions about what any of that means or why I should do it. Also learned about timing and how long is too long to ask a woman out. Normal advice tells me to ask any woman anywhere or dont ask at all. No inbetween or grey area.

Im gonna need my friends to start pointing out women who express interest in me. As far as I can tell, there is no clue or hint that communicates interest at all. Every time I thought I saw a signal, I ended up being told that she was just being friendly. If I cant tell, Im gonna end up forever alone (TM)

"be yourself" is so vague and broad that it's useless as advice. Being myself isn't getting me the results I want. the other side of the "advice" spectrum is "fake it till you make it". I also think this is too vague and broad to be of any use

Do you really think a woman is going to be angry at being approached by a guy that tells her she's attractive? also, yes. It has happened before to me. But in hindsight, I think im just unlucky.

There's NOTHING and I SAY NOTHING WRONG with this. You're not being pushy, you're not trying to manipulate her, you're not trying to follow her home. Can you put this in mantra form so I can repeat it to myself?

TBH, I dont think anyone knows where a woman can be safely asked out. I have heard excuses for literally every location a person can meet women. Dont hit on girls at a club because they just want to hang with thier girlfriends. Dont hit on her at work for obvious reasons. Dont hit on a coworker for more obvious reasons. Dont ask out your friend or you will ruin the relationship. Dont ask out a stranger because they dont even know you. Im convinced nobody knows what they are talking about after h…

From what Im reading here, sounds like it was just a joke in poor taste and not any kind of stand against anything. The teacher sounds remorseful and now seems aware of what they were doing. I believe there was no malice intent. Doesnt make it look good though. Even as a joke, i wouldn't feel comfortable with a teacher joking about that. I totally understand the initial anger about it.
