Interesting you post this today. I am just coming out of a major depressive episode which lasted well over a year. My support system comes from my male friends. Period. I have spent a fair amount of time building a group of male friends which has really been beneficial. They check up on me, listen and actually care about my well-being. Contrary to this the females that I shared my same struggles with couldn't be bothered. None of them seemed to care if I was in pain, offered to help or even chec…

Yep...and then complain that there are no good men left.

...and dating over 50 too. I called them out on the misandry and was skewered.

Remember, when you read the words "toxic masculinity", that's a phrase that feminists use to degrade men and confuse/shame younger men. Funny how we don't see "toxic femininity" written anywhere.

You're a feminist to me. That's the only opinion that matters.

Interesting to me that we allow a feminist to post here while if we did the same in a feminist subs, we'd be banned, blocked, etc.

This post doesn't help me understand anything other than bias.

Really? If so, that's a strong option.

Does finding women abroad mean going there for a fun time or having them come to the States for something more permanent? If it's the latter, wouldn't they just find a better opportunity once here?

Yep! And another thought/question I have is why do some women think that my depression or anxiety issues have anything to do with them? I've seen some say "it's something to do with me, right?" Even after repeating it several times that this has nothing to do with us, this is a me issue.

My last ex wanted me to be vulnerable and then when I was, she was irritated and treated me like crap. I have depression and anxiety issues. I was upfront and honest about it from the start. No matter, as soon as I hit my low she was looking for the exit. Never again. Second time this has happened. No more "vulnerability" to women. Everything is "fine" and I'll just be "busy" when I'm feeling an episode coming. I now count on myself, my therapist and my guy friends. Of course if I treated my gf …

I dated a woman with BPD. It was like a tornado destroying my life. My cousin who's a doctor told me to run and fast! Very hard to treat. Generally, people with BPD know exactly what to say, when to say it and know how to make you feel like you're the "one" until they split you black. Then you're discarded like trash. Generally speaking, people with BPD are very smart, manipulative and lie constantly. Gaslighting is common and I spent most of my time walking on eggshells. The first 60 days were …

It is. Unfortunately it seems to be getting worse. I worry about suicide rates.

This. HR protects the company/boss. File a claim with the Labor Board/EEOC. I'd also be looking for a new job.

"For fuck's sake... I have friends who've opened up about feeling depressed & thinking of suicide to their girlfriends, only for these women to dump them a week later because "that wasn't very sexy"." Yep.

I think real men have and should express feelings. I never understood the correlation between being a strong man and not crying or expressing feelings. Edit: wording

Hence why many young men are trying to date older women who may be more reasonable in their politics. "May" being the key word. I think a lot of young women are going to be quite lonely.

Have you thought about creating some visuals aids to reinforce how much money, time and commitment a child takes? Maybe put together a budget and a schedule? Might make this shit real for her.

I have had several disagreements about this with a couple of women. First, I did have an ex who hit me. She was much smaller than me and I was able to just walk away which would be my first choice always. But I believe that a man has every right to defend himself including punching a woman with force if that's what it takes to stop the violence. It just takes one well-placed, closed fist punch from anyone (even a smaller woman) to render one unconscious which is something nobody wants. Several e…

Yes, I did consult one attorney but he was uninterested. If I was betting man, he probably wasn't interested because it would be hard to prove that disclosure was not made (he said/she said) and because the end result was a negative test but who knows.

Thankfully I tested negative after a false positive and spending a lot of money (and time) sorting through this. I'm thankful for the final result but my ex was really selfish by not disclosing.

This strikes a chord...my ex did not disclose that she had HSV2 until after we had sex. This is wrong, wrong, wrong no matter of the gender. Nobody has the right to make that decision for you w/o your consent.

I'm glad to read this post. I was going to post about keeping track of all the man-hating commercials because they are prevalent on Cable and Broadcast outlets. Men (especially White men) are portrayed in many commercials as being wrong, dumb, evil and lazy. Keep track for a day and you'll see what I mean. Easy targets. I always like to use the "change gender/ethnicity" exercise. If I see a man-bashing TV commercial, I exchange than man in the commercial for a woman to see how that would come of…

I'm more interested in the tactics and research she points out (if true). What other topics and research is purposely hidden with vile attacks on the people who write the research? Climate change, COVID19, crime, the "ban" culture, etc.

I always love "should" but we live in a dangerous world. Yes, should women be able to wear what they want and not be cat called? Yes. Should women be able to jog or hike alone without fear of being assaulted? Yes. But that's not the world we live in and will never be regardless of how much we make all men into criminals. Instead of women speaking 100% of the time about "shoulds", maybe they should include personal responsibility and situational awareness into the mix too? One of the most sure-fi…

I heard on talk radio that people who go to college, get married and wait until they are at least 25 to have kids have a greater chance of success. I agree with maybe one of those statements.
