I believe it is mostly based on looks (In today's generation of girls minds - trophy boyfriend (show off to her friends), triggers dopamine (sex hormones), media influence (reality TV, fashion shows etc era) but will never admit it for being shamed by society/slut shamed) that mainly get a girls attention in the first place. I started loosing my hair when I was 19-20. I am now 29. weirdly i'm not completely bald (yet) but my hair is really fine and thin on top and it has always effected my confidence even to this very second.
