I mean I can see him say something about supporting the democrats, but that is after you both basically told him he couldn't be left wing unless he supported abortion. Like what is this actually about? Is it about trump? Because that seems to be what this comment was about. He thinks trump is good for men's rights. 1	I went from being basically an incel to sleeping with four different women since the beginning of the year. Here's what's changed. Really interesting to hear. I think had somewhat of the opposite experience when I was younger. There was a girl a really liked and was friends with and I asked her out. She turned me down but really wanted to be friends still. 2	Internet culture and polarization - when and how did it start to go "wrong"? I think all these people were there, well less of them, but they were all on 'our side'. They would attack the religious for persecuting women and gays just like they do to others now. Then when that fight seemed mostly over, they had to find somebody else to blame for societies ills. They were mostly one sided though tbh. I'd much rather see a fair fight. Kind of shows how much things have changed too. Compare something like Hitchens debate with William Lance Craig to Sam Harris debating Jordan Peterson. Around late 2000s the culture war mainly focused around religion and atheism. Mostly represented by Christianity vs a kind of liberal humanism. 2	"After El Paso and Dayton, the left needs to reach out to men, not condemn them" says someone at the Guardian. It's missing a vital piece, what meaning do you bestow upon men? I don't think this is an easy answer without getting into creating gender roles. Saying you need to reach out to men and stop them from falling into nihilism is all well and good, but if all you can say is that they need to find meaning as an individual I don't think your message will be as effective.
