I remember deciding to leave the state and go to visit my brother in the next state over. We had been divorced for just under 2 months and I didn't want to be anywhere where we had been together. We had never visited that brother, so it worked out. I've been divorced about 8 years now. At this point the day goes by and I often times don't even notice nor think about it.

hosed for money by their mom and they should pay you back when they grow up. Why the hell should the kids be responsible to pay him back???? They didn't make him.pay mom. This sounds like a great way to alienate your children!!

take care to not buy into too much of the MGTOW bullshit. I remember reading the book OP mentioned a while ago, and it is a good book... however... I went down rabbit holes after that and ended up reading books on TRP on the advice of a friend and I almost went full MGTOW... it screwed with me for a while. Eventually I talked to my counselor about it. They then looked into TRP and basically told me it was the most ridiculous unscientifically sound thing they'd read in a while. They said they cou…

Get a lawyer and get divorced already.

Starting off, I am not a lawyer. I don't know where you live, but in most states, I believe you throwing that recorder in the car was illegal. I'd never bring it up ever. I understand why you did it, but yeah. I'd just say you changed your mind and file for divorce.

My ex-wife gaslit me so bad and convinced me that I was dumb and couldn't remember anything and was worthless. She would purposefully lie about things that happened, big or small, to make me look crazy while she was having affairs. My self esteem was in the toilet. She also claimed I got so angry she was worried I'd become abusive so she left because she was afraid. Yet, she left me at home with our two young children. Reality was she was starting fights to have an excuse to leave to be with her…

It's not normal. "I have something going on. You'll have to figure it out." Is the only response you need.

I am home very little at least 2-3 days a week I grew up without a father and 90% I’m in it so my kids won’t have to suffer like I did. Read those two sentences carefully. Do you really think they are growing up with a father? When I got divorced my ex-wife insisted she was a good mom and was always there for the kids. The reality she was gone all the time. We were separated 8 years ago and divorced 7 years ago. Today, when my teenage daughter talks about her early childhood memories she'll tell…

Happy cake day! I'd get you a cheap $3 card from the gas station, but I don't have your address.

The day I got divorced I blocked her on all social media. Been almost 8 years and she's still blocked. Sounds like you need to do the same.

They don't even impute the income? Did you or your lawyer ask it to be imputed?

Ianal. Provide nothing and make them go through the court. If court says you must provide, then provide it. The court might tell them to bugger off until 3 years have gone by.

Your lawyer would request the income to be imputed. Hopefully the judge would listen.

Stop!!!! 6 months minimum to introduce, 3 months minimum to tell the kids. Chances are the 9 year old will figure out something is up before the 3 months, which if they do, be honest. (Dad, you are using your phone more. When I was sitting next to you, I saw a name Susie pop up. Who's that?) And if your relationship is tumultuous at 6 months and you aren't sure how long/if it's going to last, wait longer! I've had 3 girlfriends since my divorce. First one I waited 8 months, second one I only wai…

Ok. Yeah, I see that now. Lol. I'm 50/50 so could answer. Wasn't thinking when I asked that I guess. Thanks for pointing that out!

This is confusing. 40/60 how? 40 mine or 40 hers?

I'm almost 8 years out. I was married 10 years with 2 young children at the time of divorce. They are teenagers now so I still have to deal with the ex, but for me I'd say year 4 or 5 things were more normal. I also went through beginning experience, which is a great program for divorced/widowed folks thatbyou should look up, and a crap load of counseling.

I've been divorced 8 years. My ex-wife recently got a boob job too. I've yet to see it, but it just makes me laugh that she's just trying to hold on to her youth and it's slipping away from her. She's a narcissist that needs attention and getting a boob job just tells me that attention is waning and she's grasping at straws to keep getting attention. I'd argue your ex is doing all that shit for attention and is superficial because she needs it and is actually really struggling herself and all th…

I have kids. So I kept them. My kids look at them from time to time as it's part of their life and childhood. I got rid of any sexy/racy ones though.

It's really simple. It doesn't matter what your ex does. If you don't remarry and you have been married for 10 or more years, you havea choice: Take 100% of your benefit OR 50% of your former spouses. So just because she makes more doesn't mean it's wise to just take hers because you only get 50% of it.

Omg, I read your profile. You only knew her a month before you married her a year and a half ago???? Fucking... get... out... now. My girlfriend comments I rarely swear unless I am really emotional or passionate about something.... that's how serious I am. Just fucking leave. In the future give all relationships at least two years to grow before tying the knot. The first 6 months are pretty much the honey moon phase. This is where everyone is on their best behavior and trying to impress each oth…

Ex-wife no. Although there was once afterwards she wanted to meet up to "talk about what happened in the marriage" and I declined. It's possible she was hoping to ask me back, but once I'm done, I'm done.

Mods, please remove this post. If you look at her profile, it's just some chick trying to lure men to her only fans site to get money.
