Totally get that perspective aswell, I’ve done a similar thing where i felt so strongly for the girl I just wanted to pay and because it was an amazing date but we compromised and she offered to pay the next time it was lovely and refreshing and how it should be. The way I handle it is if I’m going on a date it’s usually only if I’m really feeling it with that person and if we go for a meal I’ll usually offer to pay, majority of the time the girl will offer to split it. It’s when they don’t even think to offer that annoys me and tells me they don’t see us as equals.
