To call what we have in Canada (and the US) as a Justice system is a farce, we had a legal system and really that is the best we can do. It's a sad state of affairs when we have to raise our daughters to be legally aware enough to come forward quickly so evidence can be gathered to catch their attackers, putting aside their personal fears or social stigma…	/r/MensRights	18/12/10 06:57 AM

I've never met a man accused of rape who was later proven innocent but I'm completely certain it happens. The legal system (not Justice system) is constructed of loopholes. I ask you this, if your wife/girlfriend/daughter/sister was raped, and took a week to tell anyone, including you. By this point she had no physical evidence to fall back on, it was his word vs his. 0	"If a woman lies about getting raped, she should go to prison for as long as he would have if he actually did it." -- my sister Having met a handful of women who were either raped or date raped, I've noticed that often the trauma and fear is severe enough that they will not report the crime for a few days. At that point most physical evidence will have faded and the possibility for a conviction slips away. I think that "crying wolf" should be punished, but in situations like this I feel it IS safer to protect the likely victims, being women.	/r/MensRights	18/12/10 02:16 AM
