It really depends on my mood and on the bill. If I don’t like the guy and it took me an entire meal to figure it out, I’ll pay. Usually they insist and if I really don’t like him I’ll let him pay because I find the song and dance of it all annoying. If I think he’s a good person but just not for me, I’ll pay the bill. I usually go to the bathroom in the middle of the date and pay the bill without them knowing to, again, avoid the song and dance of who is gonna pay. I don’t expect men to pay the …

I’ve never been tricked into sex, never felt used for sex. I’ve had casual sex and also a few short term flings/fuck buddies and they were great from the start, that’s why I slept with them and enjoyed it so much.

“I can change him” and “I’m special enough for him to change for me” is something of the last generation for the most part. Men today have to lie about their true nature and intentions primarily because women are unwilling to see if a man can change or be different half the time. The only time women fall for it is when they’re naive and believe in potential.

My point is literally that this cute little pissing contest of who benefits from the war is immature and all wrong :) one doesn’t benefit more than the other, it’s literally a tragedy. It’s pathetic and frankly disgusting to think of the “beneficiary” :)

It varies on where someone is in life, not their actual age. If someone is happily married for 60 years they probably don’t care about the opposite sex at all. They care about their partner. If someone became suddenly single at 60 and they want a new partner, they will care and make an effort.

Most women watch and enjoy lesbian porn. Personally I used to do homo stuff with other girls at parties because it was exciting, fun, and funny. It was also a safe way to explore my sexuality without all the risks I felt were associated with doing so with men. I can’t go up to a guy, dance, kiss, and hype him up and then leave without him expecting more, following me, etc. Girls are fun and don’t expect anything from me. It’s really just fun and exciting

But men do seem to care when women lead them on or have them pay for everything and then don’t have sex with them. Attention from an insecure older guy is easy to keep and use! Especially if you want concert tickets and the like. it doesn’t always stop at the group chat.

Sounds like your personal feelings. I can’t invalidate that you feel that way, all I know is that when i would encounter men who lied about their age online, my friends and I would have a field day making fun of them. It all works out in the end. Women who accept liars will accept you if you’re a liar, make of that what you will

Populations of people don’t benefit from war themselves. The people in power do, the economy might, the country (abstract) might. But there is a human cost to war that is inescapable. That’s just the bottom line.

There are benefits to winning, of course. This is basic math, right? That doesn’t negate my point.

Look, I do think you need to lie about your age personally. I think it’s best for everyone involved that you continue to do so. You don’t need to justify your lying to me lol if you continue to lie and act as you do, it will work out for everyone involved :)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 04:12 PM

I specifically said the man that win benefits most. You keep thinking about all men or all women. That’s really besides the point :) Ukrainians and Russians as individuals didn’t decide to go to war. Putin did. So either he wins or loses. Benefits or downfalls outside of that are subjective

Equality doesn’t always mean sameness. We revert back to what we are used to and what we know to work. No one has resolved the issue of human violence and that has a human cost. No one has devised an alternative for reproduction. And like you said, there are a lot of reasonable reasons to keep human reproduction safe. Even when the ratios and results don’t work in your personal favor.

Preferences change with time. It’s not just social media imo. As I get older I get more interested in men, I felt pretty neutral towards guys growing up. I liked some attention but disliked most of it and I didn’t even like sex til I was in my mid to late 20s. At 30 your hormones make you hornier than before. Most women don’t. There are plenty that do, but even then, they don’t necessarily resent younger women they just resent getting old. Men struggle with this too, especially in their midlife crisis times. Men especially regret “wasting” their youth and not doing all the things they “missed out on.” But traditional women are another story because they do have a different experience When I was younger, older women always protected me and lifted me up. They really nurtured me. Did they criticize what…

You’re ignoring the fact that there is still love in the mix. She still loves her husband, she is using sex as a way to find intimacy in a time where she cannot receive the love she needs from her husband. But all the same, she still has love for her husband and is seeking a way to feel that. That’s similar to breakups and why girls have hoe phases. They still have love for someone but nowhere to put all that love, nowhere to get it back. Sex is an easy way to feel intimacy. The desire, connecti…

Becoming better looking can help, it’s no guarantee. There are no guarantees in life. You’re not even guaranteed to wake up tomorrow. Plenty of average guys have casual sex. That’s half the scene.

Depends on what’s reasonable for him and what he chooses. If he’s not monogamous, I don’t see why he should have to concede that. There are plenty of non monogamous women (and other genders). He should look within that pool and focus on what he wants. Just because it’s hard, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. But if he is lazy and just wants to complain, I’d argue he should continue doing what he’s doing so he doesn’t waste anyones time.

How can men have the love life they want without conceding? By not conceding and making an effort to build the love life they want. Masturbating is not conceding… it’s a natural thing. What can men do to have more freedom on the nature of their relationships? Get bigger social networks, better yourselves, be focused on pursuing what you want What can women do to help these men? Why would women want to help these men? I’d argue women should do the same things for themselves. Focus on what you wan…

When I was 21, I saw 30 as old. It’s one thing to be attracted to older guys and then to be attracted to them after you get to know them. I guess I still expect guys older than me to be more experienced in sex and relationships, I’ve only ever wanted them when I felt they had their life together and could better mine. It would be embarrassing to introduce an old guy to my friends unless he was a heart throb

I meet guys on Hinge. I’ve dated maybe 30 guys over the past 3 years or so. A lot of first dates. Honestly? Men are whining more than ever and it’s exhausting. They are very much defeatists, most aren’t curious about the women they date, they just want easy and guaranteed sex. I see most single men I’ve met as passive, lazy, complacent, and traumatized by the world not falling at their feet. Physically, some men seem to become exhausted at the thought of making an effort to look good (so they don’t make an effort), others make so much of an effort that they expect their feet kissed. They’re human like anyone else. No need to make it complex. Humans have biological functions, the only biological destiny we have is death. That’s a fact, denying it is an emotional issue to speak with a provider about

They do just fine. In many ways, they can have a higher quality of life. Studies show they live slightly shorter lives but it’s by just a few years. Hardly a big deal imo. But this is likely do to a lot of reasons, including lifestyle choices. Evolution isn’t sentient, it is a result of heritable traits and genetic variation. People who don’t have kids don’t genetically contribute to evolution. Evolution doesn’t care about what you do with your life.

It really depends in my opinion. I found it unattractive for a very long time. Now I see it more neutral since it happens to many guys as they age, hard to escape that reality. At this point, this whole sub is using this guy’s profile for entertainment. Personally, I don’t think he asked for this or would be okay with all the attention and frankly, disrespect, in these posts and comments. These kinds of details don’t matter in flings. The busier the guy is, the better because he won’t blow up your phone while you’re seeing other people. Sure, if you are a drama person and need to lie to get what you want then lying is central to your plan. My point still stands, if it’s a real issue for the other person you are causing drama. Some guys are just dramatic tho, so it’s not any better or worse than the other dramas they bring to a relationship

I feel kinda proud about this post :) If you tell someone something innocuous, they have no reason not to believe you. If you say you only go to the gym an hour a week and have abs, what the other person hears is that it’s easy for you and not something I need to worry about. If you say you go every day for an hour, that’s also a non issue because who cares? If you say you spent 20 hours a week in a gym, that’s a part time job lol. Still doable depending on the other aspects of your life. So you…

I don’t see the big deal in him losing but if he’s upset then that’s just how he feels. I have no problem comforting him. I don’t like mma in general, I don’t want a guy with too much brain damage. But that’s a separate conversation
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 11:13 PM

I don’t feel he is intimidating, I feel he is high maintenance. I’m intimidated by other engineers who also have active lives. A grad student with an active life is just a lot of work. If that clears it up for you
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 08:11 PM
13

Also, he’s not sure about kids at 28, which is pretty normal but unattractive all the same. and he is in grad school. So between fitness, travel, and school yeah I definitely feel he would be high maintenance. Whether that’s true or not is irrelevant since I wouldn’t match with him based on that
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 07:57 PM
5

I don’t know what fitness you’re into that would make his body and hobbies not high maintenance. The amount of calories needed alone exhausts me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 07:53 PM

I don’t really care. What matters to me is who is he now, what does he want with me, and do our values align. What matters to me more would be number of relationships and understanding how they started and ended from his perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 07:46 PM

His pics and profiles are all about doing big things that take a ton of preparation. These are things that take a ton of time and consistency on his part. I know what it takes to build serious muscle and it’s a lot. he then says he wants someone who is spontaneous who wants to adventure. There’s nothing wrong with needing to do something all the time, that’s just not my type. I like guys who are in the gym or who have active hobbies, but not to an extreme. I figure skate.

He looks like the kind of guy who would judge you for wanting to stay in bed on a weekend. He strikes me as high maintenance. Even though he is attractive and has a great body, I don’t think we would have much to bond over. For the record, I am an athlete…. Lol

Sure, some people “can’t” that doesn’t mean I should make room for those people in my own life. They should find someone who accepts them, I’m not that person
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 03:26 PM
1

I didn’t say that, though I’m sure it will be true for some. Someone who doesn’t have the opportunity for sex, who then goes to pay for it, instead of finding opportunities strikes me as in pain and in desperate need of sex. If they can’t go without it in a dry spell, I’d need to understand why that is. No one dies from not having sex, even though it makes someone very sad. So to cure his sadness/loneliness he turns to sex work? On an ethical level we just aren’t compatible.

That’s very clear lmao

/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 01:45 PM

The guys I go for wouldn’t have that issue so if he felt he couldnt get that chance… odds are he would have major emotional issues imo
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 01:24 PM

Those women are saying what they want now. It would be a stretch to call it a mistake lol. It’s not wrong to get played by someone, it’s wrong to play someone. But I can tell you’re not going to get it, I will never understand why but my money is on you being very run of the mill and blaming women for the actions of men. Which is a cultural feeling most people do not challenge lol

I’m not confusing them, I don’t see anything inherently wrong with lots of sex, lots of partners, or lots of sex with lots of partners. I certainly would not call it a mistake to do, an individual can view their own choice as a mistake but they’re the only valid judge of that. Anything outside of that is just your own personal feelings
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 01:25 AM

I’d want to hear the story of why he made that decision. I’d also want even more transparency in his test results. It would really depend on the situation and how he feels about it now, if I don’t like the answer I’d likely end the relationship Like why could he not just keep a fwb, one night stands, or short flings? What made him choose that

Insecurity is just not attractive. It is a sign you need something from others, like validation, reassurance, special treatment, tiptoeing, etc. it shows that you are fragile. This is unattractive to anyone, regardless of gender. Men are more forgiving of insecure women they’d like to sleep with but that’s pretty much it. Some men see it as a plus, it makes it easier to sleep with a woman who is insecure. You can read about this in Robert Green’s laws of human nature The only people who love ins…

If you’re not comfortable with something, say something. This goes both ways. You can’t escape the responsibility you have to yourself. Twerking in a fitness class isn’t inappropriate and likely does not violate the gyms TOS. I was single for the past 3 years. There is no shortage of attractive men looking for relationships. It’s hard to find an attractive guy who is also compatible with your own personality and life style, just because someone is attractive and in want of a long term relationship that doesn’t mean they’re automatically going to be compatible with you. The whole thing is dumb and useless. People use it as a self fulfilling prophecy and coping mechanism. They hide behind it, knowingly and unknowingly, because they think it helps them understand the world around them. It gives them a sense of power and also powerlessness, ultimately it’s a distraction from reality and doesn’t bring men happiness. No one has interpersonal anything with chad. You don’t care about his opinion or feelings and have no real responsibility to him. As a woman you have no reason to be mad at chad either. He takes you out, buys you dinner, says pretty things to you, and leaves when you ask or pays your Uber home. Maybe more marriages would be happy if they were perpetually that superficial but then what’s the point of a relationship.

Why do you feel like it’s a let down?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 10:24 PM
11

It depends on the person and the situation. I’m a very nostalgic and family oriented person. Once the romantic feelings are gone they feel like family to me so it’s purely platonic. So someone like me is not at risk of getting sneaky with an ex or being hurt by seeing an ex. But if I was someone who carried pain, unresolved feelings, or anger towards my exes then it would be for the best that we not speak again. Or if your ex is harmful to you then obviously not a good choice either.

Fears are a natural response. They do not need to be rational to exist. All feelings are valid because they are feelings. You stomping your feet will not change that.. but your feelings are valid too :) Let’s go with your lightening example :) let’s pretend there is a thunder storm in your area. Spoken like a true quitter “Arousing women is so hard! They’re basically asexual!!” Sex drive after marriage does down on average because of interpersonal issues within the relationship. Dark comedy for sure lol And yes I do get all the violators confused

Yes, we absolutely would care. It would be great gossip if he was not only a liar but also into weird shit?!? Oh man. That’s like when women were revealing stuff about that red headed comedian I forget his name lol. That info was gold. He came into a plant pot lmao. THAT is comedy. When you objectify a person, that means you see them as an object. Their humanity, which as you state cannot be changed, is at a personal level disregarded. Because the person doing the objectifying sees them as an ob…

It doesn’t matter in most cases. Either the case makes it to a judge and it’s their judgement based on law or your lawyer talks to their lawyer and fires the harasser or makes reasonable adjustments (like scheduling diff working times or giving separate offices). They have an obligation to comply in any case. But you have to actually hold them to it

The company itself doesn’t have a conscious. It’s made up of individuals that advocate for it and act on it’s behalf. But that’s not really the point or the issue. The people who work in hr and on their team are rarely there to prove some kind of point. They are there to represent the best interest of the company. They do not care about you. So why should anyone care about whether they acknowledge that sexual harassment is more commonly a woman’s experience? Hold them accountable. That’s your ri…

I’m a woman in tech… so, I am all too aware of the importance of optics. But you all seem to think women are just believed and cared for in the workplace, which in my experience is not true at all. Your struggles are different from mine, but neither of us are taken seriously and any claim would be a nuisance to any company. That’s just a fact. Early in my career no one cared. Now I know how to lawyer up and to not care when HR thinks I’m being dramatic. Frankly, I don’t care what they think. If …

If ur not in the US there’s not much I can say. I imagine most places have more reasonable lawyers than we do but it depends on your country. A case like this rarely goes to court. Even if you don’t go to court you need a lawyer…. But it sounds like your first time so I’ll cut you some slack…. Here are some links. I’m curious …

You don’t need to get a 4K lawyer… I’m going to give u the benefit of the doubt and assume you’ve never actually needed a lawyer enough to do any research at all. lawyers get to set their retainers and many have free consultations. lawyers that handle labor and work regulations, and especially ones that handle assault in the workplace have reasonable rates. “Seems like” doesn’t have the same resolve as “the data shows” p

That’s why you file a report first. This is not rocket science. I get that you guys don’t need to deal with this often enough to know this stuff but follow the procedure and see a lawyer when you are not able to resolve individually

You report it to protect yourself legally. The stats help reveal a larger problem but if you just use common sense, you can at least cover your own ass if you do end up in an altercation so you don’t have charges pressed against you. If that was your first time dealing with that, I get why you don’t see the utility of that but you’ll just have to trust my lawyers on that

I think the saying is dumb, it actually makes no sense. Hookers are different from women who are looking to hook up… literally, very different. Hookers loathe men most the time. Women looking to hookup are looking for something, that something is sex and validation. Sometimes getting that will lead to other feelings for them, other times the guy they slept with just becomes a fun/funny story they tell their friends and they go on to forget the guy existed. people experience these feelings even when they grow up in cultures where polygamy is practiced. There are even shows and documentaries that show how these people are impacted by infidelity or other associated feelings to feeling cheated. I think you add a lot of unnecessary fluff to your replies. There might be reasons why people cheat and why they don’t tell. You can have dozens. That still qualifies as being cowardly in my book. Most people would agree, even when they would make an effort to empathize with the cheater because we all make mistakes and use excuses. But that’s what they are, mistakes, excuses, and avoiding the problems

/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 07:11 PM

What you’re missing is the plain fact that we don’t agree. You think cheating and not telling is fine. I think it makes you a coward. Those are just the facts. You can compare it to whatever you want, it doesn’t change the bottom line that it would make you a coward to try and avoid the conflict when couples move past cheating all the time.

It’s not vague but I’ll help you out. The definition of a coward is a person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. Your poor argument for not being honest after cheating is that “if you do it right” you face “absolutely no sacrifices.” You refuse to be honest because you lack the courage to endure the sacrifices that you’d have to make as a result of your actions. That makes you a coward. Like I said, people are allowed to be cowards. But don’t pretend that’s what…

If your concern was damaging the relationship and family, you shouldn’t have cheated in the first place. You knew your partner “couldn’t handle it” before it happened. What you’re describing here is called “excuses” and excuses are for the weak. If you think your partner cannot handle the truth, that really just means that you cannot handle delivering the truth because you’re afraid you’ll hurt their feelings and that they can’t handle it. That’s called being a coward. Which is fine, if that’s w…

That is outside of the scope or your op, isn’t it? Op was a bunch of why questions. you’ve stated and even conceded to many of the answers, you’ve confirmed reasons, risk, and I’m assuming you understand logically why most people today expect loyalty in a relationship, whether they are monogamous or polyamorous. So you tell me

Sex is a risk even with protection. You can get a number of infections just by kissing someone else. Your partner did not consent to that risk entering the relationship, so on top of hurting their feelings, you’re putting them at risk of physical harm. Unless you are pretending there are no real dangers to sex, in which case we can end the discussion here because you’re prob not old enough
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 05:20 PM

If you tell someone the truth and they can’t handle it, that’s on them. If you refuse to tell the truth because you’re afraid someone else can’t handle the truth, you’re the coward

It sounds like a real challenge for you to accept that other people just don’t match your view. Which is why you say they’re insecure or socialized to be this way and disregard the reality that we all are the way we are because of a combo of natural instincts and socialization. And the expectation is largely exclusive because that’s where most people on earth most commonly feel connected to their partners and safe in their families. You can judge that all you want, it doesn’t change that this is…

No, you’re being very unreasonable to think you can say anything about my own standards. To call them dumb says a lot about your ability to argue too lol. And no, there’s no way to be with me and cheat on me and not hurt the relationship. Maybe your partner can cheat on you and you wouldn’t mind, but that’s… your business :)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 12:35 AM

Makes you a shitty person to your partner and anyone with common sense and basic decency. It also shows you’re a coward because you lack the courage to live in the life you want. If you want a poly relationship, you can do that without judgment. That’s all

It sounds like you believe opening up to someone means they “could help you.” Get a therapist. You open up to your partner so they can understand you better as a person, not to fix you. Not to have power over you. Relationships become boring when people are boring together. Conquered or not. People push their partners buttons often without even trying. I think you’re missing a basic understanding of expectations in relationships. To water it down for you.. any expectation I have in my relationship, is my expectation. This is how we all work. If my expectation is that we will be exclusive and you breach that, that means you failed to meet my expectations and I am allowed to feel however I want to feel. Your problem isn’t fds… it may actually be that you’re not assertive. If you’re concerned you’re investing more because you initiate more, tell him or initiate more and what it would mean to you. If you want more orgasms, have more orgasms. Just tell him what you want (it sounds like you don’t know how to orgasm with a partner tho or you would already be doing this. You prob need to do some personal research) Stop caring about what other people think and just be assertive about what you actually…

An average number of women would intentionally go out with an average guy. Life isn’t perfect. If you’d rather be a woman, we live in a time where you can explore that through cross dressing or transitioning. There is no way to do “everything correctly” in life, even though there are wrong ways to do things. You’re still young and immature, sorry to be harsh. You’ll figure out in time if you spend less time envying women and focusing on yourself, don’t focus on what you want from others only on what you want from yourself.

Broken hearts are most quickly healed by taking responsibility for your journey and feelings. You have to accept that no one else is going to fix your life. You have to accept that what you’re feeling is not required and it is not helping and you need to stop feeling that way. How? Learn to gain control of your own mind. It is so hard to do and that’s why people become addicted to feelings of sadness, outrage, resentment, anger, etc. At first those feelings are natural and happen on their own. I…

I get approached almost every time I leave my house. Stats show that people everywhere are struggling with anxiety at alarming rates. Our culture allows for people to be very removed from others. It hasn’t been my experience but I’m not surprised many men, especially socially anxious or socially inept ones, have anxiety approaching women. But I think it’s just temporary, there are cultural changes at a pace we have never seen before and a lot of forced isolation

I don’t understand what you’re sacrificing to begin with. A failed date isn’t a sacrifice.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 12:38 AM

I’d argue if someone goes on a date for a free meal it’s because they have to prove something to themselves. It’s like a power play. But you shouldn’t take that personally. Some people are just toxic

I really doubt they’re doing it to fuck them over. I think it’s more likely they are hoping to change their minds but then feel disappointed they didn’t change their mind.

Half of those women are hoping to feel differently when they are on the date. No one is perfect, sometimes people think things that aren’t functional. That’s just life

Sure, but that doesn’t mean she actually owes him. A lot of women go on dates hoping they’ll find someone they want to sleep with. But then they get to know the guy a bit and get turned off. Both leave disappointed.

Sometimes sex is just sex. When anyone feels led on, that’s a result of unmanaged expectations

I think it’s be smarter for men to be upfront and say I’m only paying if you sleep with me. Or they should manage their expectations.

Love is a feeling. Happiness is a feeling. Sadness is a feeling. Anger is a feeling. You can be a slave to your emotions if you’re not careful. If you’re an emotionally immature person you cannot control your emotions to any degree, you can’t even fathom controlling them at all. You feel how you feel and that’s that. A lot of women who cheated to hurt their partner will be very happy you think so. I kinda agree tho. A lot of men who cheat do so mindlessly. They “can’t help” themselves because they’re hormonal and don’t have he self control to stop it from happening. A lot of women who cheat could stop it from happening but don’t because they feel like they can disrespect the relationship because their man has disrespected them (through neglect or something else) But for point 3, I think that’s how men think …

That’s what I’m disagreeing with tho. He doesn’t need to be 3 points more attractive for me to want to have casual sex with someone. That’s a cope imo. It’s unreasonable to think there’s one point of blame. Patriarchy is a word to describe a system. Systems are by nature complex and have many parts, they’re sometimes circular. This can be true for any system. For example. Your body has 11 organ systems which all work together to keep you alive. Each system has many players and processes that keep things in check

I think you’re bad at navigating this too lol. The most strategic answer is “I’m not interested in anal/threesomes/etc” If they ask directly if you’ve ever done it just look at them weird and ask why they’re asking weird questions with a laugh and accuse them of watching too much porn. :)

Are you using low desire and low libido interchangeably? Because they’re not the same thing…. So you might wanna reread your source and understand what it’s talking about……….. If you are concerned about low desire in women, I’d say you’d have to actually listen to women about why they don’t desire sex. You can have a normal libido and low desire… had to say that just in case that common sense point is not obvious…… As a woman I can tell you this. Women don’t just want a meat stick. Our nature an…

Living in the suburbs with a minimalistic and child free lifestyle without AirPods is not alternative. Sounds like you’re just a frugal guy living outside of a city who likes to sit on his money and is afraid of failure. Pretty normal to me Alternative is more like if you were a traveling comedian or artist, you would have to be unconventional or creative to be considered alternative in my view. I wouldn’t be interested in you based on your overall lifestyle, there’s not much flexibility.

You get to decide your own dealbreakers, even if it’s unreasonable. If you’re keeping a scorecard I’d argue you’re not mature enough for a relationship. But there’s no authority on who gets to date or not. If I were someone with your logic, I’d find someone with little to no self respect who accepts you as someone who competes with and is jealous of her past (failed) relationships. imo no self respecting person would accept that lol. That’s right, there has to be an effort to make these changes part of your real life. A lot of people get comfortable and stop doing what they originally did to capture the other persons attention. You’re confusing people who are improving themselves with people who aren’t improving themselves. Some people don’t understand that fake it til you make it involves consciously learning from their default original responses and their chosen responses. That’s why people slip back to their “original” behavior, because they were faking it and not embodying those changes. Once they have what they want, fakers fall back to what is comfortable if they get lazy.

The only time that doesn’t work is when you’re not a likable person. But even so, it’s better to be yourself and unlikable than to attempt to be someone else and then fail because no one can hold up an act like that for long. Because then you put in effort and still failed even tho you would have failed anyway, so it prolongs the issue lol

It is very normal for humans to take things for granted. When something is guaranteed or given without being earned, people tend to take advantage of it or don’t appreciate it. More is never enough. And men are just people, and people are naturally inclined to having emotional connections unless their trauma responses see connection as something to fear or avoid.

It exists when you marry someone you love who loves you back. I know many people like to say oh it’s temporary, it will get ruined, blah blah. In the same way we are born, we eventually die. Does that mean we were never alive? Does that mean life doesn’t exist? No. It just means nothing lasts forever and we should grow to appreciate what we have while we have it and accept the impermanence of life and love.

Asking for commitment early on is a red flag. This is common sense. Sometimes men ask for commitment too soon because they are anxious to lock it down. But if it’s too early, I don’t know you. Why would I commit to someone I don’t really know…

I find a variety of guys on online dating. But it’s very true that any guy who is a bit good looking or who works out or is over 6ft is a total slut and simp for pics and sex. They lead with sex and i know they’re like that with every girl who gives them attention lol. I don’t mind, I usually want to sleep with them too. But if I slept with every guy I thought was sexy…. I guess that wouldn’t be too bad lol but it would definitely distract me from finding someone I can connect with. Then there a…

No, this is just all you care about. You don’t care about women in their 50s or who they are or who they’ve become, they’re beyond dead and irrelevant to you. So who they really are doesn’t matter to you. And women in their 20s make you feel so inadequate you build them up to be these masochistic chad addicts who only look at the average guy later on to use them. One day you’ll look back and cringe

It really depends on the guy and the situation. I like when a guy goes to therapy or has gone to therapy but only if they seem stable and overall happy with themselves and their lives as it is. I have a new friend who I was interested in but I noticed a lot of yellow flags on our first date. I then learned that he was in therapy so I was like… okay, he seems self aware enough. Later on he showed that he was very anxious about me and was worried if I liked him or not… which is a normal anxiety to…

I do this. They were a part of my life for a long time. They know things about me no one else does, I know them in a way no one else ever could. I loved my exes. I still care about them as people, they were a big part of my life once upon a time. Our time here is short. There’s only one ex I would “take back” in a way but he’s the one I don’t talk to. Because if we spoke again I might say yes and I couldn’t handle having to say goodbye to him again. So we don’t talk anymore and I watch his life …

You’re the one adding stuff to it. Being pro choice isn’t a mysterious thing where we pretend a fetus isn’t a fetus. It is a fetus and if you don’t want it to be born you need to abort it.

Speaking for myself, between 18-28 I was always turned off by any guy 5 years older than me. None of my friends ever dated someone off campus or much older than 5 years. But I went to a big competitive school in a big city and was a student athlete. So my experience is different. Myself and the women around me were similar, we wanted a hot guy with drive and a lot of potential, someone everyone wanted, someone we could show off. That’s not true at all. You just don’t understand women is all. Just like men, if you know someone’s gonna reject you but the chance at the fantasy has a higher personal reward, that means your perceived reward is above your level of fear. So you act towards the reward. If your fear outweighs the reward then you don’t act. /r/PurplePillDebate10/11/21 06:14 PM

What I’m saying is you have a warped perspective. It is warped because you “see it as a game” and you’re saying women are playing a numbers game… but they’re largely not. But you see it as a numbers game because you are the one seeing games

Women in general have low self esteem, about half in surveys report feeling low self esteem. That’s just what it is. Not sure what the percentage is for men but women at large aren’t seeing themselves as a VS model. Men are naturally desperate. The fact is that if you like sex, you’re going to want someone who matches your view. If you’re afraid or resentful of sex (because you can’t get it easily or because you feel “used”) you’d be better off with someone who has those same issues. It’s all about alignment. I would never be with a man who is inexperienced AND who is negative about sex (as in he dislikes women who sleep around or sees women who have consensual sex as being used) because I find that mentality pathetic. Lol she had someone else she liked more and it didn’t work out so you’re a secure option for her to redirect all her feelings at. Women don’t ghost because they “can’t express their feelings” unless it was a breakup. They don’t ghost on a relationship high. When you really like someone they’re like a drug and you physically cannot stay away. Take her back if you want. A red pill man is actually a loser. I’ve gone on a lot of first dates and many of them admitted to being red pilled once I asked in the right way. Also I bring up controversial topics in dating and note where and how he reacts. Men are easy to bed and easy to understand. They’ll tell you exactly what’s on their mind if they feel reassured that you’re interested and won’t leave. The desire to be accepted is usually stronger than the desire to manipulate :)

Don’t take it personally, sometimes girls are bored and just want sex lol. My friends usually sleep with guys fast when they don’t want a long term deep emotional or intellectual connection with him. This may not make sense to guys, but when you find a guy you really like who you’re intimidated by it’s kind of hard to bring yourself to sleep with him. It’s a bit of a risk because even if you want to theres a risk him thinking less of you. Or worse, you don’t want him to think he doesn’t need to …

Many actually do it to protect their families. If they start sleeping around with normal women, those women may look to ruin his life if they want to keep him. Sex workers would rather he continue to hide the infidelity so they have steady income. These men want to live a double life, whether it’s out of obligation, attachment to their partner, guilt, etc. it’s just better for them to cheat this way.

Shame is an expression of fear. You have to regulate the amygdala and the prefrontal cortex to manage emotions like fear and anger. Science shows meditation, therapy, journaling, and exposure help strengthen the prefrontal cortex and make the amygdala smaller

It is rare statistically. You can try to disprove that if you want. With stats or something
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 07:49 PM

Describing thought as pills is juvenile to me no offense And statistically the type of person you’re describing who cheats often is pretty rare so my point still stands.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 07:37 PM

I don’t believe in the pills, I think they’re immature thinking. If someone enjoys cheating, then they enjoy cheating. Doesn’t make me wrong or disprove what I’m saying at all. So idk why you’re typing paragraphs here

I mean, it’s true that if I’m dating someone and I don’t get enough attention when I ask for more, I’ll definitely lose interest and move on if I’m not crazy about you. If we were together and I wasn’t getting enough attention after asking for more, I’d probably make an effort to push for more to give him that chance. But even that is a short window of time for me. When I like someone I want their attention.

That seems unlikely. Maybe that’s what you and the other men would hope but that’s closer to a revenge fantasy than a reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 05:31 PM

Honestly this reeks of insecurity and jealousy of hot guys you feel like you don’t measure up to. We all know women can upgrade at almost any time. If she’s choosing to be with you it’s because she likes you more than the hot guys she can pull. If all she wanted was to slam chads every night she probably could. But that doesn’t satisfy most women. So stop being insecure and jealous. It’s a weak disease

Your own perspective and stubbornness prevents that. You think you’re being gaslit - that’s a big feeling. It shows you take it very personally. What would happen if she stopped giving or taking? And what if she wanted to leave you?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 05:59 PM

I think the issue here is you think unconditional love is romantic. If you do have unconditional love for someone, that is something you give and they owe you nothing in return. So they can leave you today and you will not be hopeless. You will still love them. But if you need someone to feel that same intensity… that’s literally a condition you are demanding. Do you understand?

Why is an unhealthy relationship dynamic romantic to you? Healthy romance involves trust, respect, and open communication between all partners. They involve collaboration and compromise from all partners. They respect and value each other's independence. You should be able to see your partner making their own decisions without fear of toxicity, retribution, or retaliation, etc. they share decision making powers. Giving advice from the outside isn’t helpful. Sympathizing isn’t enough. Women cheat as much as men. Women are poly as often as men. Most women in their 50s could get a dozen guys in their 20s much more easily than a man in his 50s could get a single 20 year old women. Herpes is really not a big deal but contracting it as an adult is different than getting it as a child. Because symptoms can start off very strong people really suffer getting it as an adult. Legally people aren’t required to self report they have herpes so if they knowingly give it to you, you can’t sue lol. Most people don’t even know they have herpes! So when someone doesn’t make out with you too quickly it could be that they’re waiting to have that talk :)

I don’t believe it’s a suppressed desire. Every person has needs but when women turn to sex workers it’s not to be objectified by the sex worker (I’d argue a better term would be object of desire). It’s to feel physical sexual fulfillment or to receive a sexual experience. Male sex workers who specialize in women can elaborate on this more but their business relies heavily on meeting the inner desires of women. Which include a need for safety, desire, and connection. We don’t use our vaginas the…

Personally, I think I see a few things here he says he’s happy with where he is but has trouble setting boundaries. I think it may be time to respect your friend more and only help when asked. he wants someone to love him as he is and isn’t very open to consider loving others as they are (since you say he says his “equivalent” as beneath him). This sounds like a mother/father wound or a worthiness wound he thinks self improvement is a rejection of himself (since you mention his reaction to a cha…

Women didn’t have much freedom of choice in the times you’re referring to. Whether it was for economic needs or by mandate, women were with older men but it was rarely out of real desire lol. Now that women do have freedom of choice, they rarely go that route. I’ve never been attracted to older men. Everrrr lol. My parents have a 10+ year age gap and that was always kinda gross to me. I’ve always been attracted to men who are in their 20s. Even now I think they’re the hottest. Guys my age are re…

I think what you listed are the “fantasy” things we want combined with the idea that all these things are so impossible. And thinking we want all of these in combination to the maximum level possible is also a stretch. Plenty of guys meet my standards. That’s why I date them. I don’t want someone who works 50+ hours a week and spends 30 hours in the gym a week. A guy with a good job and work ethic who lets his investments do the heavy lifting is great. Not really. Many are very subtle. So subtle you have no idea people are using them, even you think it would be obvious but they’re not at all. Dramatic ones require work but video editing is quite easy and editing yourself to have a 6 pack, big butt, or small waist are pretty automatic Here’s one example I found too lazy to list software https://www.instagram.com/reel/CMCkzCDqtZZ/?utm_medium=copy_link I worked for a company that develops apps like this :)

You can still hide filters. Create a draft with the filter, turn on screen recording, open the draft, go into full screen, record the vid and boom. Your username and filter choice do not show in this mode. Then post the video as a new one after cropping it Also, professionals use other apps for filters on their body and face for videos. All media influences our views of ourselves and others. There’s definitely no going back unfortunately. All we can do is be reasonable, encourage body neutrality…

There are a lot of complaints in the gay community about unrealistic body standards, age gaps, and selectiveness for relationships. The older attractive men go for men that are way too young for them. There are men who are pressured to be extremely thin and feminine. And then masc men who are pressured to be extremely buff and manly. Bears have to be tall and mostly masc. then there are men who cross dress who are not trans, they really struggle to find partners. There is a big complaint of “mas…

That’s horrible, I’m sorry that happened. I went to a few group sessions and kept up with some of the women over the years. I imagine it’s a little different for everyone. If you want sex just for sex that’s different from wanting to have sex with your friend who you’ve had chemistry with, maybe longing for. And that’s different from sex with the one you cannot see yourself without. Sex when you’re in love is wild and unlike anything else imo. But you can feel different parts of the connection in sex. When you’re in love sometimes it’s like they understand you so well that sex is more of an expression of yourself. So…

Basically saying why did you do this for him and not me? They don’t like that she’s already done something and doesn’t like it. They want her to do everything they want for him. Or else they get mad. Not to discredit the guys experience but I wonder how much of what he’s saying is performative, sometimes when you need to affirm your gender you say things that you feel are in line with that gender. Everyone does that, not just people who are trans. Really interesting either way

Good enough is rarely good enough if we’re not desiring them or sex. Ofc there are times women do just want sex and “good enough” is fine, but from what I know it’s not common… that’s why so many decent looking guys end up in dry spells. We don’t have sex just because you’re good enough and available at the time

I can have sex without an emotional connection. But that’s something I have to be wanting ahead of time. A random guy isn’t going to make me want to have sex with him by just being hot. Not sure if that makes sense because I think you’re having trouble seeing this from a woman’s perspective. I have to want sex without connection and then find my prey. Otherwise he’s just some hot guy offering sex and that’s eh

I’m single and idk that I’d agree to have sex with a stranger on the spot even if they were really hot. I’d say maybe and see if we could explore our chemistry. My desire and sexuality is usually tied to teasing and seduction, otherwise he’s just a hot guy. /r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 06:13 PM
2

Dating can be a numbers game but you can also go out with the first person you match with and meet your soulmate. Also when there are too many choices it messed with your head, this is true for marketing, sales, decisions, etc. So we don’t all need 100 options, we really just need that one person. That’s kind of what everyone is looking for. Ultimately, I don’t like the attention and that’s really just my feelings. Maybe you’d like it, but I’m not a fan. Not like either of us get a choice lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 06:11 PM
1

Right, life isn’t perfect. Maybe from my perspective, if a woman matches with you maybe the privilege is that she’s more likely to actually be interested in you and not just your body. However rare that may be. There are downsides to everything, really. That doesn’t mean anyone gets to control how I feel about the cards I’ve been dealt. I don’t get to control how you feel either. What’s annoying to me could be what you’re looking for and vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 05:59 PM

I’d rather just have the one good match a week :) life isn’t perfect but just because you dislike your options and want mine, that doesn’t mean I should feel blessed to have mine. Did you know that people can want different things? And like… think differently? I know that’s wild
