I’m placing blame on neither because I wasn’t there to witness it to judge. Other than they probably should learn a bit more situational awareness. Your placing blame on their gender.

I wasn’t there to call it out either way, By the lads account they were seen as young and easy target. By the same token, how are we to know the girls weren’t flirting with the guys to try get them to buy cigarettes and then got met with some lewd comments? This is the exact victim blaming that is being mentioned in the OP’s comment.

I had this around a family discussion the other day and had to bite my tongue. Nephews mates got blamed for being out at night and getting in a scuffle. Nieces mates got heckled for simply being young and cute, but it was the guys that were gross, not the fact they were out in a questionable place that was the problem.

Stop buying into the culture wars.

Cheers. I analyse basic data as part of my job, it’s often what’s not included in the data that tells the real story.

I also wonder how much of this is due to available avenues when your in a shitty circumstance. Women can still sell sex when they hit rock bottom. Most men can’t. How many of these crimes, have their partners stayed home to stay ‘safe’ I’m sure there is a dozen other examples similar that skew these stats as well.

Right want to stop abortions. Abortions are a ‘woman’s problem’ Therefore pro men are pro right because culture wars make money.

Another topic would also be that people focus on the gender rather than the problem. Which doesn’t open good discussion as the gender who has the problem, just end up feeling attacked and defensive/dismissive.

I can see the whole article with no problems. Might need to clear cookies or use a different browser.

Not the one I had in mind. But is relevant enough. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/local/wp/2018/07/20/feature/crossing-the-divide-do-men-really-have-it-easier-these-transgender-guys-found-the-truth-was-more-complex/

Some easier to consume topics would be paternity leave. Men get royally shafted here metoo actually hurting women in the workplace. Men get called out for not talking, but then when they do they get called weak (mostly by women). Wives lose attraction and chase the bad boy. search up trans men. Who realise it’s not all peace’s and de-transition back to Being a woman. Almost every man I am close with, has been mentally abused by their partners at some stage. Some of this is ‘just the games women …

We’ve just had a few years of a religious right wing nut job, who said some pretty dumb but deliberately divisive things about women. ( and used mouthpieces for trans/queer/race/etc etc) This is one of our local feminists using the recent election as ‘proof’ that it was the female vote as to why he/his party got voted out. Not the fact he was a complete douche canoe that used division as one of his tactics..

Why let other people live rent free in your head? Your getting sucked into their bullshit.

Mens rights sits in a funny place on the spectrum, with splatterings of both left and right ideals. Even though it’s not hard conservative. I’d say there is more splatterings of right wing agenda than left.

On top of people being brainwashed by modern feminism and constantly having their ideas challenged (a damn hard thing for almost everyone) which then makes many that haven’t ‘lived it’ not be able to understand or empathise what it’s like to be male in modern western society. There is also large smatterings of hypocrisy, that when called out. Is met with the exact same hate that your accusing others of doing to us. This hate and ability to inwardly reflect, is what I believe to be a huge part of…

Wanna link me the comment where I said we shouldn’t have a male only gym? If men need them to feel safe from the #metoo crowd and there is a market there. Then I’ve got no objections.

I’m all for speaking your mind in a safe place, and having a safe network to be able to vent about anything. The vents here in my view, have crossed from complaining about double standards that are being imposed on us, to trying to impose those same standards on others. ‘It’s socially ok for men to not wear clothes, but it is for women. So women shouldn’t be allowed to wear skimpy clothes to the gym’ We should be arguing freedom for all, not reducing others freedoms. But as someone else pointed …

Clearly touched a sore spot. I’m all for equality. Stopped by here thinking I’d see some. Turns out the sub is just as toxic as the one you linked.

Ta. Not for long. Seems the incels and Neckbeards that hang out here claiming Mens rights. Don’t understand what actual equality is and how hypocritical most of their comments are.

Why is that where you draw the line in the sand? To be taken seriously, and be the better person. We can’t be dictating what women choose as ok for them to wear. That works both ways. If the choose they wanna bring walk around basically naked, aside from it being a distraction because my hormones kick in. What’s the problem?

So normalise it. You’ve just changed your argument from it screams attention to ‘because I can’t, you can’t either’ which is super petty. Women have worked pretty hard in a lot of cultures to be able to show some skin. This is a genuine success, not a bullshit modern feminist one. We need to be normalising it for men, not whinging women can do something we can’t and infighting.
/r/MensRights02/04/22 03:10 AM

Nah this is backwards. They can wear whatever they want. If they decide that wearing something tight and showing a little bit of skin, makes them feel good, like they wanna work out. Good on them. If more people feel good, or feel sexy, the better place the world would be. Your the one putting a label on them and not able to appreciate them trying to feel good about themselves. We can’t dictate what they should be doing, just like we are asking them not to dictate to us.

Wow, that there is exactly why I didn’t engage. when your best arguments are name calling, you don’t have much

Your arguing pro life bullshit, totally different page to if a woman should have autonomy over her body. Which is a step sideways from if the other conceiving partner should have responsibility’s for her choices. I’m respectfully bowing out now, can’t see you actually engaging in proper discussion from your other posts.

‘Here’s this shit hypothetical that I’m trying to use to prove my point’ What’s your argument for the dozen other reasonable issues to get an abortion?
/r/MensRights10/03/22 08:15 AM

Why shouldn’t they? We can’t dictate what they do to their body’s without being hypocrites.

Don’t tell your daughter. She’ll be able to twist that as you saying you don’t want her. Support her, and love her. NEVER bring the bullshit between you and her mother between you two. It’s just stooping to her mothers level of crazy. You’ll almost always come off worse.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
