Men are overweight/obese at the same rates that women are. There’s no evidence that they are putting more work into fitness as a group.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 01:38 PM

What do you think “advice” means?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 03:08 AM
4

Then the word is meaningless, and so was your comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 03:04 AM

What isn’t shallow?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 01:38 AM
1

No, they brag there, just like in real life. I know a ton of women who talk about how they raised their dating standards, and found a better match.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 01:24 AM
2

How would that make sense in the context of the conversation?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 12:45 AM

Wow, your attitude towards casual sex is more negative and judgmental than mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 07:09 PM
1

But it does not follow that therefore women want to date their casual sex partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:52 PM

People generally don’t like wasting their own time In my experience, men don’t typically consider sex and dead-end relationships with attractive women a waste of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:46 PM

It’s literally not advice...
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:42 PM
1

So where did your impression come from? That women only care about personality?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:37 PM
2

If your point is that incredibly good-looking people have more options for sex and relationships than less attractive people... obviously yes?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:36 PM

Men dating childfree women without revealing that they plan to settle with someone who will have their biological children. Or even hiding that they have actual children for several dates. Men dating women of different races and religion without revealing that they plan to settle with someone of the same ethnicity.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:25 PM
2

And that implies absolutely nothing about whether women only care about personality...
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:22 PM
7

So you are taking back saying that it’s “rare?” The disagreement is about whether it’s common.

and the guys who do get casual sex usually have no problem getting girlfriends and often have their pick of the litter for that I think they are disputing this part, and I agree with them. Let’s say an incredibly hot guy has sex with 100 women in a year. It may be that 50 of those women would date him because of his looks alone! But the other 50 would never consider dating him, because he has other red flags as a potential boyfriend. The hottest guys I’ve slept with are men that I wouldn’t have …

BP women in particular criticize men for being shallow (the implication being that it’s too difficult for most women to meet those preferences) Usually when I hear women complaining about men being shallow, it’s because it’s so much harder to vet partners for compatibility when men are only focused on looks. Men will pursue women that are objectively incompatible, because they are attracted physically, wasting women’s time.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:56 PM
7

I was under the impression that the “bluepill” believes women genuinely don’t care about looks as much As much as WHAT. Women care about looks =/= women care about looks as much as _____
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:43 PM
14

Why wouldn’t that be OK?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:38 PM
4

I said the exact opposite. men really underestimate the number of hot fun men who are 100% honest
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:37 PM
6

Whoa, this happens all the time...
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:28 PM

They open their mouths and make words to say they are not interested in anything serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:27 PM

But your post says they are not honest about not committing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:19 PM

You: u have standards higher than u should If there’s something I have commented that you want to discuss, please quote it directly.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:13 PM

“dating” men that would never commit to her (but won’t tell her, else they don’t fuck) I think men really underestimate the number of hot fun men who are 100% honest about not committing. Hot fun men can have casual sex and sitiationships without misleading anyone. Some of them certainly do that, because of personality issues. But they are not the ones who need to.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:11 PM

What did I say about my standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:03 PM

so you will defend the situationship rotation I can’t imagine what part of my comments you’ve interpreted this way, but please feel free to quote it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:53 PM

women are more shallow than men when we are talking about judging appearance only. ...if physical appearance is the ONLY thing being considered, it has to be the first thing considered... and the last thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:27 PM

What does that have to do with “genderwars?”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:22 PM

And there’s nothing in this comment that suggests that women who lower their standards are any happier. And if they are, I’d prefer to hear it from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:20 PM

Did you mean to reply to me? Why are you telling me that Youtube has channels?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:11 PM

What do other women have to do with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:09 PM
8

a guy failing for the onlyfans girl We’re talking about a man putting his credit card into a website. Not having feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:04 PM

So you’re calling her a liar because other women have kids without being married? (Less than half of mothers)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 04:01 PM

Oh, how did the comment of single mothers relate to their comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 03:44 PM

What’s the logic there? If you’re ONLY considering physical appearance, how is it more or less superficial to like more or less of them? I don’t see how that would have ANY relationship to being shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 03:12 PM

Why is that a problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 02:02 PM

Do you think all those single moms got pregnant with the 1%?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 02:01 PM

If lowering standards is what results in great relationships with men who put in effort, why aren’t women speaking to that experience? Why is it men that advise women to lower their standards? Instead of women in happy relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 11:31 AM
9

How is that equivalent?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 11:25 AM
1

...and therefore?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 11:21 AM
2

Healthy women don’t prioritize keeping just any man.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 11:20 AM
16

Are you interpreting “lower your standards” to mean, “do not date anyone above a specific standard?” Is that what men do? They turn down sex with more attractive women?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 09:04 AM
3

I’m not following. Was it your intention to give me a general explanation of why people give advice to others without explanation? Unrelated to this post?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 08:54 AM

In comments, OP says he’s never had a girlfriend. Or even a friend group. I have no reason to think this is based on what has worked for him, or people he knows personally.

Surgical complications are way better than settling for a fatty, I presume. But not the kind of women I would settle down with now.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 07:33 AM
8

You’re over a decade older. With kids. In a terrible financial situation. Your standards have gotten higher, and you now reject women you would have considered in the past. So weird that dating became a shitshow!! It’s definitely women’s fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 07:16 AM
7

Sure, you had sex with 125 women but couldn’t find anyone to settle down with because women don’t find you attractive because of social media. Totally logical.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 07:05 AM
4

But again, you want quick easy sex with women. You say your body count is over 100. I disagree that men “struggle” more to access NSA sex with hundreds of women now than at other times in history.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:59 AM
2

So the women who didn’t give you attention fucked you, and on your schedule? The women insulting you now are fucking you, and on your schedule?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:52 AM
30

It’s very, “My advice is that everyone else should give me $20.”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:48 AM
12

Men did not struggle to what? Men don’t have the same expectations from romantic relationships that they did 50 years ago. Men make post after post complaining about any woman who “makes them wait for sex.” If you want easy premarital sex from women, expect to be judged on whether you’re worth easy premarital sex. Women are judging men differently because they are judging them for different kinds of interactions.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:47 AM

Even men who are attractive are being rated as unattractive I don’t know what you are referring to. If you’re saying that a man attractive to one woman is not attractive to other women... of course? People have different preferences. Unattractive to me =/= unattractive to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:36 AM
1

/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:31 AM

I can’t speak to that percentage. But yes, women tend to rate attraction in subjective terms (who is and isn’t attractive to her) instead of “sexual market value” terms.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:17 AM

I never hear women rate men on a 1-10 scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 06:02 AM

It’s always weird when someone gives “advice” to a group of people, and doesn’t include a single solitary reference to any benefit that group would experience if they followed said “advice.”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:45 AM

convince a guy to prefer it Are you operating under the assumption that women are trying to convince men to be in relationships with women? Or they they should be doing that?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 05:35 AM

How is this not self aware?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 10:00 PM

Are there not a lot of toxic women?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 09:57 PM

You don’t understand why people in DEBATES have different opinions... You don’t understand why you aren’t “welcomed” for saying that you’re “bothered in a deep way” by someone having a position in a DEBATE... What are you doing participating in these debates in the first place, if you can’t handle the premise?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 09:54 PM

Almost like feminism isn’t about your pee pee.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:15 PM

Again, I don’t know what you mean. Let’s say my boyfriend’s mom dies. He cries. I hug him. We have an emotional conversation. Is that “sexual in nature” because he’s my boyfriend?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 01:11 AM
1

What do you mean “and?” You made false statements. A mother doesn't have the authority to sign away a child's right to parental support. If simply stating "I bear no responsibility" for our actions made it legally true A woman can get pregnant, leave the father blank on the birth certificate, and then surrender the kid at a fire station without any legal liability. This is absolutely and completely legal.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 12:11 AM

?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 11:21 PM

So then emotional intimacy and physical intimacy are not off the table. Plenty of sisters hug and cuddle. Plenty of people have close emotional connections with their siblings. Sibling relationships are often high in trust and closeness.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 11:20 PM

Casual sex alone is not that enjoyable to me. Relationships, even casual ones, take time and effort that I’d rather put towards a primary partner or other parts of my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:10 PM

Now that you’ve stealth-edited your post.. Your assumptions are unfounded. Not shaming sex would not make sex easy to access or eliminate “gate-keeping.”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:07 PM
6

I still don’t know what you mean, because you’re not explaining what kinds of physical and emotional intimacy people can ONLY have with someone they are sexually attracted to. What does that mean to you? Please be more specific.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:02 PM
8

If you removed sex and intimacy from the world Like, no sexual contact? Or like, no one can hold hands or give massages? Or like, no emotional intimacy with anyone?

A world where access to sex what?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 06:41 PM

Later years as in over 60. The majority of middle aged people are partnered, both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 05:55 PM

Most young women are partnered to someone a bit older than them, so more young men are single. In later years, more women are single (and often not interesting in dating).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 05:46 PM

Marriages where the wife is significantly more successful almost never last even when the husband is good. There is data on this stuff. No, there is not data on that.

no shit, I doubt he didn’t know that. But I do doubt it. You have faith that OP knows something, despite all of his words suggesting otherwise. It’s your choice to think OP believes something contradicted by his words. But people who take his words at face value aren’t arguing in bad faith.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 04:33 PM
1

You are not arguing in good faith. You were the one to bring up how many men would/would not require it, as part of your argument for why is would be bad. Now that you’ve contradicted yourself, you’re asking what MY point is. I think it’s time to agree to disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 04:28 PM
1

I’m really not following your predictions. Only undesirable desperate men won’t require it... Is this the lowest 25% of men? The lowest 50? Or, most high value men will require it... So most of the top 10%? Most of the top 50% What percent of men do you imagine would insist on it?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 04:08 PM
3

But how is it obvious to you that he is not asking about exactly what he’s confused about? The post reads as literal to me. We’ve been told to embrace more feminine qualities, yet those who relentlessly pursue their goals and exhibit ambition seem to be rewarded You really don’t think OP is confused about how people can be goal-oriented and in touch with their feelings? Why do you think those are archetypes?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 03:42 PM
1

Men will all jump up and down to sign such a waiver and there will be few options of those who haven’t. The only ones who won’t will be desperate men who can’t put a hurdle in their way to get access to sex. These men aren’t likely to be desirable. But you think most men will require the waiver, even though you’re not sure most women will sign it?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 03:36 PM
2

Why do you think most women will sign the waiver and have sex with men who require it?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 03:20 PM
2

Talk me through this. Your theory is that OP has noticed that many women say they want A, and that many women date X. But your theory is that OP did not make a post about A and X... instead he chose archetypes to compare?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 03:16 PM

Do American taxpayers get to sign a waiver American taxpayers don’t have a choice when women choose to leave “father” blank on the birth certificate. This happens all the times. She didn’t have a choice in the matter now. Of course she did. She could have had sex with one of the billions of men on the planet that didn’t require her to sign a waiver. this is all about men getting 0 accountability in sex when you already I’m a woman. But OPs false beliefs about masculinity are the root of the question. OP believes that being “in touch your feelings” changes everything about a man. It changes his fashion choices. It changes the exercises he does at the gym, for some reason! OP believes that men, and presumably women, CANNOT be emotional AND strong. OPs confusion about women is rooted in his ignorance, his confusion that other women don’t have the same false beliefs that he does.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:45 PM

In the US, 27% percent of men have tattoos. AND 38% OF WOMEN HAVE TATTOOS. It is completely illogical to frame tattoos as “masculine,” much less mutually exclusive with “being in touch with feelings.”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:33 PM

Women don’t have to have sex with these men. The only pregnancies involved are the ones risked (or intended) by the woman who choose to sign this waiver. Surely any woman who would sign the waiver and have sex with the guy would be confident in her birth control (or infertility), comfortable getting an abortion, willing to have a kid on her own, or wanting a kid in her own.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:27 PM
2

What do you think happens of a woman leaves the “father” section of the birth certificate blank? Does the state prosecute her for violating her child’s “rights?” Can her child sue her for violating their “rights?” THIS HAPPENS EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:19 PM
8

There is no reason to give men the option to decide whether to claim a kid during pregnancy, much less after childbirth. Pregnancy does not provide any new information to them, as it can for women. Pregnancy often reveals health conditions for women that impact their choices. There is a reasonable argument that men should be able to disavow responsibility for potential children BEFORE SEX. Have the woman sign a waiver that she understands you will bear no responsibility for any resulting pregnan…

What do you think “quantified” means?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:19 AM
2

I’m following you. I just disagree with you. You are convinced there’s a feminist narrative that the women’s movement would reduce domestic violence. I don’t hear it... and I’m not surprised I don’t... A women’s shelter is like an umbrella. It’s not what makes it rain more or less.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:33 PM
9

Quantified it how?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:16 PM
2

the thing that should have made DV go down didn’t Again, I don’t think most people think it “should have.” I certainly don’t. DV rates don’t measure the success of feminism. women stay in DV relationships for other reasons Obviously? Of course many people stay in abusive relationships for many reasons, men and women alike. If that leads you to the opinion that it does not matter whether women are ABLE to leave abusive relationships, I completely disagree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:16 PM
17

Women who prioritize character tend to be above-average in attractiveness How do you figure?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:45 PM
2

If you can leave an abusive relationship then there should be less abuse, should there not? In a population? Why? Rates of violence go up and down because of a variety of societal factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 08:07 PM
2

all the people who spent their whole lives believing that pre-1970 was hell for women I think you are making the wrong assumptions about why people, particularly feminists, believe this to be true. I have never thought this to be true because DV rates were higher. And as I’ve said, that’s not something I’ve heard as part of feminist discourse. It would be great if men became less abusive towards women. But it isn’t a failure of feminism if they do not. Feminism has improved things for women beca…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 06:57 PM

You’re not explaining why anyone would look bad, be embarrassed, or would even need a new narrative. I’m sure it seems like I keep asking the same questions... and I am, because you aren’t answering them. If this is something that people believe, but the formal movement doesn’t talk about... it’s barely a narrative at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 12:16 AM
2

In your mind, the leaders of the feminist movement have a totally different narrative than feminist organizations? Feminist “leaders” talk about this, but feminist organizations do not? If feminists leaders stopped talking about this, they’d need a new narrative... even though feminist organizations already have a narrative that is not based on this....?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 11:57 PM
2

So when you say... not a good look for feminists You just mean, not a good look for ordinary people? it would be massively embarrassing for the women’s movement You actually think that average people would be massively embarrassed if they learned more about violence stays over time? I really don’t get what you’re saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 11:38 PM
2

As I’ve said repeatedly, I don’t hear feminists organizations talking about this. You are claiming that they talk about it constantly. Feel free to substantiate your claim, or not! So far, this sounds like a belief you’ve heard around, and have blamed on the women’s movement because of some kind of personal bias on your part.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 11:22 PM
2

If everyone says it, why do you keep referencing “feminists” saying it? Why would the “women’s movement” be embarrassed?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 11:03 PM
3

As I’ve said, this isn’t something I hear. Most communication I see from feminist orgs talks about domestic violence as a huge current issue. But you hear it constantly, so I’m sure it’s easy for you to reference some content.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 10:45 PM
2

it would be very embarrassing for the women’s movement that constantly insists Again, could you please substantiate this in some way? This is not a talking point of any feminists organizations that I’m aware of. Where are you getting this?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 09:59 PM
3

That’s not really an argument, it’s just a collection of subjective judgments. You have your idea of what is special and who is broken. So does everyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:48 PM
7

What exactly is your argument? Sex isn’t special because that’s just a subjective judgment? You literally say that’s what does make sex special. It can be special, but that’s entirely subjective.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:38 PM
1

claim - is that sex is uniquely vulnerable It’s no more intimate or life-altering than plenty of other things people do every day why aren’t we romanticizing surgery, therapy, or high-stakes business deals You are all over the place. You’re switching between metrics several times in single paragraphs. If you want to argue that sex isn’t vulnerable, do that. But don’t do it by moving the goalpost several times.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:32 PM
6

I’ve don’t hear feminists say that domestic violence was more prevalent in the 1950s. Can you point to any major organizations that reference that as a core message? The message I hear from feminist organizations is that the improvement for women is being able to get help/leave situations that are abusive.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:00 PM
5

I don’t understand your logic here. Would you point towards the rise in racial violence in the 1930s+ and say the KKK was a bad look... for abolitionists? The civil rights movement?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:30 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 10:08 AM

it likely means that domestic violence also shot up — not a good look for the feminists Why would this say anything about feminists?

People pair up with others of the same socioeconomic status because people tend to only associate If your theory were true, online dating should have changed the stats already. At this point, most couples meet online. If men did not care about class, or preferred partners of a lower income, they’d be finding them.

So women shouldn’t say anything that men would find objectionable?

You are really bad at taking accountability.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 04:40 AM

I have asked you several times how this answers MY QUESTION, without success. If it's more than necessary it would be considered shallow...... unless we as a society have suddenly stopped thinking that focusing on material things over personal is shallow. Please feel free to explain how THIS COMMENT connects SUPPLY to SHALLOWNESS.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 04:15 AM

You said: I literally answered the question you asked But you did not. I did not ask why income levels are shallow. But that is the question you answered to me. If you would like to have that conversation, I’d encourage you to have it with OP, since they asked the question you seem to want to answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 04:05 AM

The OP asked why income standards are considered shallow. I did not ask that. Do you know how to make a top level comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:54 AM
2

Are you still claiming that YOU answered my question? If so, how? I don’t think you addressed the connection between supply and shallowness at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:45 AM

How does your comment answer my question asking what the supply of high earners has to do with it being shallow to have income standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:40 AM

How is this related to the comments above?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:34 AM

If a woman is not talking TO the man, it isn’t an accusation AT ALL. You are telling me this post is also intended to silence women talking to each other about experiences that creeped them out. It is NORMAL and APPROPRIATE for people to talk about experiences that made them feel uncomfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:12 AM
6

In the comments, you yourself agree than many types of behavior are actually creepy. But you don’t want women to actually talk about the experiences they personally find creepy? What exactly do you expect? Do you want women to write you personally and ask, “A guy asked me out in a dark parking lot. It made me so scared. Is it OK for me to tell my friend that I found that creepy?” What do you actually want to happen here?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:00 AM

You seem to be the one so upset about something you need to interject it in unrelated discussions...
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 02:53 AM

So it’s off-topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 02:49 AM

But you are not taking about all kinds of romantic relationships. You are only talking about committed partners that you live with and plan a future with. “It is supposed to be forever.” A small percentage of romantic relationships aspire to meet your definition, and even fewer succeed.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 02:48 AM
6

What does that have to do with whether it’s “shallow” or not?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 02:39 AM
5

Are you referring to one of these situations, or both? A woman directly telling a man that he is being creepy A woman telling another person that she found a guy creepy

/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 07:58 PM

I think other men can still spot bad badges quite well But can you reference anything in the real world that supports that? Men are physically assaulted by men at much higher rates than women are. Why can’t they avoid this stuff?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 06:45 PM
3

I understand your theory. I’m just saying that I see absolutely no evidence of that theory being true in real life. On the contrary, the women I know have much stronger bullshit detectors for guys. Guys are the ones saying, “oh, but he seems like a good guy,” or “I’m sure it was just a joke,” and “you should give him another chance” after a guy pushes boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 06:37 PM

But if both men and women are biased towards superficial qualities in men, how do men suddenly become unbiased judges? If there’s a cool guy in a band, and both men and women admire the guy, despite his red flags, how can you suddenly say that men aren’t biased just because they don’t want to literally touch his penis? Look at all the famous men who have been exposed for corruption. Look at Diddy. So many men are fooled too. But we’re suddenly supposed to think they’re the experts on judging cha…

I’ve known plenty of “good guys” who have entertained friendships with obviously toxic guys that they’ve later had to cut off.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:50 PM
5

But how does this manifest in real life? I’ve known a lot of men who’ve had to cut out toxic male friends from their lives. I have not seen evidence of men being better able to recognize and avoid red flags in other men any better than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:46 PM

I see rude offensive men who have male friends. Do you not see this?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 04:35 PM

I’ve never seen this be an issue when the group is explicitly a men’s group. But often, groups just identify as an interest group, then bristle when women try to join. If you’re pretending to be a video game club, of course women into video games are going to try to join and be offended when told no. Just be honest about being a men’s group that focuses on video games.

“Justify” meaning what?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:56 PM
1

So, in your mind, some women could leave their husbands in the 1900’s, and some of those women did leave their husbands, and some of those women left their husbands for better men... and that’s how it became clear that women as a group behave a certain way and we needed a word for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:38 PM
1

Dudes can be assholes to each but it’s not the same As WHAT? Are you saying that most women are worse than assholes to men? HOW?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:29 PM
1

Our disagreement is about the definition of the word. You say it’s a concept that developed before women had rights. But you also say it means leaving your partner. I asked you for sources support your interpretation- you provided none. I asked you to explain how the definition could work logically- it seems you decline to do so. So I think we need to agree to disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:26 PM
2

Talk me through it. What kind of partners did women have in the 1800s? What did it look like to leave one for another?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:19 PM
1

But I don’t understand what these qualities are that women are responsible for valuing that men don’t also value in each other. Men are also drawn to awesome men socially. Heck, taller candidates were more likely to win elections in the US before women could vote. You say you became introverted because of the social preferences of your school classmates... but somehow the SAME preferences in dating are confusing and unfamiliar?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 06:08 PM
2

If you believe the concept of hypergamy developed before women could leave their husbands, how can you believe it means leaving your husband?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:55 PM
3

Sorry, are you saying that you think this is a pervasive social issue, across men and women, of all ages, that impacts men’s mental health... ...but that you made a post about feminism causing these issues??
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:43 PM
3

Are you aware of any research source that uses that term that way? I’ve always heard it defined as “dating up” or “marrying up.” Didn’t the concept develop in India, where no one was leaving their spouses...?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:39 PM
3

But if men also appreciate awesomeness in a wide variety of social interactions, how is it NOT “just normal?” Like, if a guy at the gym starts a conversation with someone who bench presses a lot of weight, and invites him to grab food after the gym, is that “not normal?” Men not having many friends also has a huge impact on their mental health. Are male creators drawing attention to the impact of guys starting friendships based on “awesomeness?”
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:28 PM
4

Could you elaborate? I see men validating “awesomeness” all the time, especially in each other. They express admiration for all kinds of effort- bodybuilding, sports technique, skill with musical instruments, building things, buying cool equipment for hobbies, achieving status in video games. Or are you saying that it’s only a problem when you appreciate awesomeness in romantic partners, but it’s fine for friendship and other relationships? Why?

I don’t overlook them as reasons to WANT to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 03:39 PM

So it’s not hypergamy unless you’ll leave a partner for better? So, a woman who only dates men who make $300k+ is not hypergamous unless she would divorce a husband for losing his job?

Your first two examples are just two people who weren’t as good of friends as you wanted them to be. Your third example was a coworker complaining about you being antisocial. These sound like really common experiences, and I don’t know why you’re drawing anymore conclusions about gender from them. Wanting to complain, but not listen to other people problems? I’ve seen men and women do this. Dropping friends after they move away? Dripping friends that need support? I’ve seen men and women do this…

Retroactive jealousy ruins a lot of real life relationships. It’s way more enjoyable to date men who had fun and thinks it’s fine that you did too.

Half of the posts here are by guys with some kind of problem with women who are more experienced than they are. Guys who will destroy the relationship the minute he realizes she ever had a one-night stand. Of course women would rather date a different kind of guy.

How would standards be relevant to anyone like that?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 10:36 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:38 PM

I think you are conflating standards and entitlement. Having standards, and being unwilling to compromise them, doesn’t mean you feel entitled to anything other than the option to be single. I’d rather be single than accept most relationships. But I don’t feel entitled to, or even expect, the kind of relationship that meets my standards. I feel lucky when I find one that does.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:36 PM

Of course it’s his choice to end any relationship he wants to end. But no, she doesn’t “need” to meet his expectations.

There is zero inconsistency here. Again, she cannot have anal sex for the first time again. That has no bearing on her feelings for OP or happiness with him. And of course she remembers things she did for the first time vividly. That’s how the brain works. People remember their first kiss better than kissing their wife last Tuesday. Absolutely nothing in the post contradicts that they have a great sex life and he’s the best she’s ever had.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:09 PM
4

There is absolutely zero indication that she’s unhappy. She said he’s the best she’s ever had and literally calls him a “sex god.” You picked a post even you think is fake, and you still need to project false info into it?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 07:54 PM
4

Where are you getting that she isn’t delighted? He says they have an amazing sex life. She’s really open-minded, they’re compatible, etc. And if she isn’t delighted... why is he OK with that at all? Why does he want to date someone who isn’t delighted to have sex with him, unless she likes someone else?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 07:39 PM

Personally, I think it can be valuable to talk about past relationships and what we learned from them, how they shaped our ideas about relationships. But there is no missing “proper explanation” here. She was excited to try new things. There isn’t much left to try, per OP. Thats not rocket science. Porn stars make videos every year pretending to try anal for the first time... regular people do not.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 07:29 PM

I think you are vastly overestimating the number of people who think their relationship would survive watching videos of their partner having sex with someone else and analyzing their reactions to photos of an FWB’s genitals. Your example is... bizarre. But I do see value in one part of it. The poster is not sure he wants to date someone who is not in her “experimental phase.” If he wants to date someone who is extremely sexually experimental, she isn’t it. It doesn’t matter what her past was li…

end in breakups, and most of them are between partners of similar age. So clearly age gap isn’t the problem. This is a WILD take. It’s bizarre to use relationship longevity as the marker of success/failure. In countries where divorce is largely illegal, do you believe the majority of those relationships are successful? Why would you think that? It’s even more bizarre to say that anything that doesn’t end the majority of relationships isn’t a problem. Physical abuse isn’t present in most relation…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 04:03 PM

Where are people getting pre-marital assets in the divorce? Almost every jurisdiction excludes them from consideration, unless they are comingled as marital assets (the non-owning spouse starts paying the mortgage).
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 02:13 PM

Is that what your fear is based on?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 02:05 PM

Then what is the concern? Men married to working women with “sane” incomes don’t pay alimony.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 02:01 PM

I’m not following. You’d never get married to anyone with a drastically different income level. Are you saying that’s a problem? Are you saying that men don’t engage with women at all, because they don’t want to legally get married? There are a ton of unmarried cohabitation couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 01:59 PM

The US has less common law marriage than ever. The US has less marriage than ever. The US awards alimony at a rate of 10% of divorces, less than half of the rate in the 60s. Are heterosexual relationships great in the US?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 10:45 AM

Alimony is awarded in a small percent of divorces, so I doubt it’s “destroying heterosexual relationships.” Especially when fewer people get married than ever. It exists because the courts act as if married couples are teams, and that benefits and liabilities generally belong to the team. The same way the whole football team wins the Super Bowl, not just the players who scored. There are so many ways to communicate that you don’t want to play as a team: Don’t get married! Get a pre-nup! Get a po…

But I’m not open to providing a disproportionate amount of unpaid labor for the household, or willing to take the risk of having children (physical, financial, etc). I don’t expect that of any partner either. Anyone who does, needs to understand that those are huge sacrifices and risks that need to be shared, not unfairly dumped on one person.

Yes, in some marriages, there’s an incentive to stay. But no, that doesn’t prove what you’re claiming here. Let’s say it’s raining outside. I have an incentive to stay inside, to stay dry. I’m not? I want to know how you want sex assault victims to be treated.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:25 AM

Yep, every woman is supposed to avoid risk just the right amount, in just the right ways. Enough to keep the bad guys in line, but never so much that it prevents any “good guy” from getting his dick wet.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:22 AM
3

How do you want to “treat” victims of sexual assault?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:11 AM

Could you word this in a different way? I don’t know what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:00 AM
5

And I still don’t think that has much to do with “accountability.” If someone drives a motorcycle, it’s higher risk than a car. I don’t think they need to be held “accountable” if some asshole runs them over.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 12:59 AM
11

Are you saying that you don’t believe women make any choices to avoid sexual assault?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 12:36 AM
5

But people already know where women’s boobs are. So they don’t need them to be easier to find.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 12:11 AM
4

Are you saying the risk to reward of sexual assault is never favorable to anyone? Then why does it happen? Or are you saying that the ratio is less favorable than stealing, so therefore women must be accountable for flaunting jewelry but not accountable for flaunting their bodies? Because it crosses an invisible line of favorability?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:56 PM

And plenty of people get their houses robbed of heirloom jewelry without ever even wearing it outside.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:44 PM

The comment I relied to said: imperative to reduce the risks they face when possible Avoiding men that are obviously dangerous does not accomplish that, because it’s still easily possible to reduce risk even further. If you want to move the goalpost, it’s a different conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:38 PM
6

Then WHY doesn’t your argument apply to a woman wearing a revealing dress? It’s a personal choice. It’s not a necessity. It’s considered flaunting by many. Its fine if you don’t think the situation counts. Just explain WHY.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:25 PM
11

I’d call it nonexistent. The most effective thing I could do to reduce my risk of being physically harmed by another person is to never date men again. That is the biggest risk of violence in any woman’s life. You are free to think that women have the imperative to avoid men whenever possible reduce their risk, and you can call it whatever word you like.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:09 PM
8

And spitting was the topic before that. Perhaps you could tell me what life situations your argument applies to and when it does not?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 11:03 PM
7

The post is the context. If you think jewelry is off-topic, we can focus on whether “flaunting” makes women accountable for men touching them without consent.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:48 PM
13

Sure, like, “she was flaunting her stuff in that dress, what did she expect, she was asking for it.”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:28 PM
15

Oh ok, buying jewelry is fine, it’s wearing jewelry that makes me accountable for other people robbing me. Cool, thanks.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:25 PM
2

Of bad examples? Yeah, I’ve seen a few.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:20 PM
13

There’s no end to that logic. I bought a piece of jewelry. I created an incentive for someone to rob me. I’m accountable for being robbed. There is no reasonable life that does not generate incentive for others to harm us.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:18 PM
2

You’re explaining global population trends using a model that excludes India, China, Indonesia, the US.... Ok bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 10:10 PM
44

Personally, I think “accountability” is a completely inappropriate word to use regarding someone who has been harmed by another person. When I harm others, I am accountable for what I have done! They are not accountable for me harming them! Are there strategies to reduce risk? Of course! But every person has to decide where to draw the line. Many many women have stopped dating completely, because they are not willing to take the risk. That doesn’t make women who date accountable for someone else…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 09:35 PM

I’m just trying to keep up, since your position changed so drastically.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 09:27 PM

OP said: “slow dwindling of the world population.“ You replied: “not world” Now you’re essentially saying: “yes world, not slow?”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 09:06 PM
1

So you agree with OP about the “slow dwindling of the world population.“
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 08:56 PM
6

So you don’t have enough intimation to know that the population of the world, or parts of the world, will not decline.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 08:36 PM
1

That’s what you did... you didn’t want to answer my question so you asked a different question. The vast majority of people have geographic filters in their online dating search. They set it us so that they don’t even SEE profiles from people outside of their area. Geography comes way before looks in more cases. Looks are very important to most people. If not everyone would be talking to ugly people. I have never said otherwise. My comments had nothing to do with whether looks are “important.” M…

Why didn’t you answer my question?

The parts of the the world without declining birth rates are... Uzbekistan?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 08:08 PM

Do most women travel across the world to sleep with whoever they find most attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:55 PM

My comments have nothing to do with the order of any steps.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:47 PM
7

What parts of the world don’t have declining birth rates?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:35 PM
1

Which doesn’t relate to any of my comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:28 PM
2

That’s certainly what is happening. I do think that people will form some alternative family structures (buying homes with close friends, etc) I also think there will be some political action to either force things to revert to the past structure, or compensate people for choosing to have kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:25 PM
1

Sounds like there are a lot of factors hat influence women’s decisions about sex, apart from looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:08 PM
1

The relevancy is that I believe: People are complaining about X You are telling them how to solve Y You’re free to think otherwise!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 07:02 PM
1

As you’ve said. Is there some reason you want to repeat our entire conversation?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:57 PM
1

As I stated, I don’t think most people are complaining about the same kinds of standards that you are pre-selecting for. I suspect that the people that you are harshly judging may be referring to standards and behavior can’t be pre-selected by someone’s job title. We’ve already covered this.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:54 PM

Your point was what, talking to people is vetting them? I did not disagree Great

/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:48 PM

Rightly or wrongly, most people think of women’s sexuality as more fluid. I think there is some research to back this up. When women come out, fewer people think, “she was always faking her attraction to men.” When men come out, that is typically what women think, that they were always faking it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:44 PM
1

I date bi-men. But it is true that many gay men go through a bi phase before coming out as gay. I’ve known women who got their heart broken by these men. It’s also true that the physical risks are higher if the man cheats. Even if straight and bi men cheat he exact same amount, the STI risk to the girlfriend are higher. And there are cultural factors that may make some men not think of it as real cheating if it’s a man, or be more afraid of the social consequences for confessing cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:38 PM
1

To remind you, you brought up compatibility. I told you it was off-topic. You insisted it was on topic because it was the same as standards. You quoted your original statement. Now you’re complaining that it’s not on topic, because it isn’t related to your original statement about standards. Too ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:27 PM
2

So the single women and single men you know shame single men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:23 PM
1

...you argued differently? You said: Meeting standards = compatibility. Or do you not know what equals means?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:21 PM
1

So someone met your standards but wasn’t compatible with you. Meeting standards =/= compatible
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:14 PM

So your current boyfriend is the first person you’ve ever gone on a second date with? You’ve never had a boyfriend or fiancé before?

The single people you know shame single people?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 06:00 PM

The men you dated in the past met your standards, meaning that you were compatible. Why didn’t you stay together?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 05:59 PM

Why aren’t you with any of the men you dated in the past?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 05:54 PM

you are not understanding that there is a greater likelihood of me being compatible with someone like my boyfriend I haven’t given it a second of thought. We’re not having a conversation about compatibility. You did not make a comment about people who complain about incompatibility.

My comments are not a criticism of your approach. You do you! Hope it works out for you. But I suspect that the people that you are harshly judging may be referring to standards and behavior can’t be pre-selected by someone’s job title. I’ve met many religious high-performers that I think are garbage humans, and even worse romantic partners.

You only dated men from your social circles, but had never spoken to them. You always found out that men had similar life trajectories to you before ever speaking to them. Very impressive! And believable!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 05:14 PM
1

My argument is that there are many reasons why women choose to have sex (and not have sex) with men. Your argument is that there are not, and that looks are the most important. If looks are the main factor in deciding to have sex, your girlfriends have cheated on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 05:03 PM
2

This isn’t The Lobster. You don’t have to be in any romantic relationship.

Cool quotation marks.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:58 AM
1

Interesting that you feel the need to pretend you had a different post title.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:55 AM
3

This post certainly didn’t convince me that people have “the wrong idea” about RedPill, much less why.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:50 AM
1

Again, my argument is the same as if it were a blank page. You said you’d explain X. Your post did not explain X. You’re perfectly capable of explaining X in the comments. You know the difference. I have no reason to argue with anything you posted that is explaining but A, B, and C (but not X), any more than I’d have reason to argue with a blank page.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:46 AM
1

You’re free to stop responding at any time. But your post could literally have been completely empty, a blank page, and we’d have the same disagreement.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:36 AM
1

My criticism is that your post was completely devoid of the content you said you intended to explain... but I’m not allowed to point out that you didn’t include any of it.... Give me a break.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:18 AM
2

Withholding all relevant information and slapping “men” at the top is not an issue of how you worded your post. The substance of your post is what we disagree on.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 01:00 AM
2

Again: It’s just dishonest to make a post about one gender and withhold all of the information specific to that gender. My complaint is that you made a post about men, and did not include a single men’s issue. You only mentioned men’s issues in comments after being challenged.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 12:44 AM
1

And no one asked you to find the “single” reason. My position is that you should have included the reasons why MEN are lonely in your post about why MEN are lonely! It’s just dishonest to make a post about one gender and withhold all of the information specific to that gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 12:36 AM
2

You told me they have bad social skills. That’s one of your reasons for why they are more lonely than women... but somehow did not make the list of why men are lonely. There could be any number of factors contributing to loneliness So you’re saying you’re not sure what factors are making men specifically lonely and unable to meet their social needs without a romantic relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 12:20 AM
1

Yeah, like if one group of kids eats peanuts and they’re fine, but another group of kids eats peanuts and goes into anaphylactic shock? It’s because if the peanut allergy those kids already had.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 12:11 AM
1

My position is that you should have included the reasons why MEN are lonely in your post about why MEN are lonely! If Gen X women experienced Covid and did not lose their ability to have deep friendships... Covid isn’t why Gen Z men don’t have deep friendships. If the things in your post only destroy men’s ability to have deep friendships because men have had social skills... it’s the bad social skills that are the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 12:07 AM
4

So it’s a disingenuous debate post, where aren’t interested in different viewpoints, but just wanted to call people out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 11:41 PM
5

So you want people to debate about the quality of comments on the subreddit?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 11:26 PM
4

But exactly what is your position? Dating in social circles is no better than online dating... for any man? Ever? In any place? And/or Dating in social circles is not as simple as... what? As simple as online dating? As simple as women describe it... which is how?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 11:23 PM
-1

Better how? For whom? I’ve gone on dates with men from my social circle that I never would have dated if I met them online. I’ve gone on dates with men from dating apps that I never would have dated if I met in my social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 10:53 PM
2

And most single women aren’t on dating apps. There’s no venue that gives you access to a complete and infinite pool of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 10:41 PM
5

So you want us to debate whether a subset of women is a subset of women? I’m still not getting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 10:33 PM
2

But this is basic logic... If I say that dogs can’t climb trees because they don’t have opposable thumbs, it’s easily proven false by the fact that cats can climb trees without opposable thumbs. You don’t get to limit a debate post to only the information that supports your position.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 10:31 PM
8

You made the post for men? Why didn’t you say that? You said it’s a response to women. If most women want husbands, does it prove they can’t meet their social needs without them? Just like men?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 09:08 PM
8

What makes you qualified to speak for most men?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 09:00 PM
12

Let’s go back a minute: Are women able to quell loneliness outside of relationships? Yes or no?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:57 PM
16

Women have stronger social ties, more social opportunities, have deeper relationships with their girlfriends How do they have these in spite of the societal conditions outlined in the post? If women can overcome those issues, why can’t men?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:35 PM
17

Why is this specific to men? Are women able to quell loneliness outside of relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:30 PM
3

And I don’t know a single person who doesn’t have a filter like that! It might not be sex. It may be how fast they text back, or whether they ask a certain number of questions on a date, or whether they give compliments... Everyone gets to decide their own filters.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:24 PM
2

When you previously said she didn’t want to- that was bullshit. You’re free to say, “I don’t feel wanted unless sex happens on the first date,” all day long.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:21 PM
4

It’s the nonsense justifications that are the problem, not the decision. I don’t want to go on another date with her- fine! I don’t want to date anyone who doesn’t have sex wit me on a first date- fine! I’m the expert on the true feelings of another person that I split two appetizers with- bullshit!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:15 PM
3

You do not know if she wants to have sex with you on the first date. She may have wanted to have sex with you more than anyone else on the planet, but was practically hemorrhaging blood from the first day of her period. “Want” is in someone else’s brain, and you aren’t a mind reader. You only know whether she did something or not. You do not know why.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 08:04 PM
3

Personally, I think the “made you wait,” language is completely ridiculous. There are women who wait to have sex, but that isn’t “making YOU wait,” any more than any other personal decision is making someone else wait. Like, if you don’t want to marry anyone you haven’t lived with, you aren’t “making Beth wait” for a proposal. You are waiting until you are ready. There are women who would have sex, but don’t invite you up after the date because they think their cat probably threw up on the bed a…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:56 PM
3

I feel like I see a post or comment every day saying some version of, “if she made you wait one date longer for sex that anyone else she’s ever dated, shes not really into you and is just looking for a beta provider,” or something to that effect. Like she might not just have diarrhea or something...
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:47 PM
4

Filters are fine, as long as you treat them as strategies based on guesses, instead of knowledge about another person. I think it’s fine when women filter men for not asking her out in a specific way, not picking up the check on the first date, not offering to walk her to her car, not sending a specific kind of message after the date... None of those are knowledge about another person. They are just decisions based on presumed probabilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:40 PM

What does this have to do with my comments?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:33 PM
21

It doesn’t sound like you want a debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:19 PM
28

You want people to debate whether something is “fun for you?”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:12 PM
1

Does that add up to a thousand?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:05 PM
4

One thing that Blue Pill gets right is understanding that women’s choices to have sex or not have sex with someone are influenced by a thousand factors other than his physical appearance. Red Pill seems to take every behavior as a referendum on raw attraction, as if women don’t make decisions based on whether they’re having period cramps and a myriad of other factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 06:48 PM
1

Wild conclusion to take from this study. GETTING more value from a relationship doesn’t mean you love more, much less deeper.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 03:26 PM

I understand that it’s an unfounded assumption that you have made.

I suppose that understanding what a support group is does make me more “narrow minded” than someone who thinks any social media account could be a support group.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:57 AM
2

A TikTok account is not a support group. It doesn’t matter what people do or don’t have TikTok accounts, or used to have TikTok accounts. It has zero relationship to the number of support groups on planet earth.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:50 AM
2

Convince me... by providing zero reference to one single male support group? Not a single place where make support groups were shut down? Not a single “radical feminist group” that tries to shut down male support groups? Were you trying to convince me?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:44 AM
2

You don’t believe you either. That’s why you keep changing the subject from support groups.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:41 AM
2

You are blatantly lying about men’s support groups being shut down. There are so many of them, in the most “feminist” places in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:35 AM
2

It’s not a matter of believing you, it’s irrelevant to our conversation. You are claiming that men’s support groups are being shut down by radical feminist organizations. Your “proof” is that some lady’s TikTok account was suspended. That has nothing to do with men’s support groups.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:32 AM
2

What does this have to do with support groups?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:28 AM

It sounds like this is just in your imagination.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:14 AM

Because it’s not relevant. You criticized women for not matching with men they don’t want to date. YOU don’t match with men you don’t want to date. Why the double-standard?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:13 AM
2

I know a number of men in men-only support groups... I’ve never heard of any issues. Where have they been shut down? By who?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:11 AM
3

Why does it make sense for you not to match with men you don’t want to date, but it’s sociopathic for women to do the same?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:06 AM
1

I’ve never had that idea. But it’s an interesting take that men who don’t tell women about their kids until the first (or third) date just consider their kids unimportant.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:02 AM
4

It IS how most people operate. The first thing that people do when they join online dating is pick filters for who they want to see. You pick gender(s). You pick a geographic limit. You pick an age range. You pick a gender, even though you may date someone who later decides they identify as a different gender! You pick a geography, even though they may move to another country! The presumption is that you don’t want to have random chats and dinners with people you definitely don’t want to date or…

Sorry, you’re saying it would be a relic even if Black people were currently barred from student loans and federal jobs for not currently participating? Many states don’t allow the non-registered to attend public universities. You’d say, “it’s just a relic?”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 12:05 AM
3

Do you match with men on dating sites? Do you go on dates with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 11:59 PM

I’m a feminist woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 11:42 PM

Let’s say the US government required every Black person to register for a selective service program that in the past has resulted in the deaths of many Black people. I would 100% think that was relevant to discussions about race in this country. I would think that even if it hadn’t been used recently. I would think that even if the program could hypothetically be changed to include white people.

Yes, congrats, your goal of getting attention was achieved.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 11:11 PM

Why did you respond to my comments if you’re unable or unwilling to answer the basic question I keep asking you? No one forced you. I genuinely thought your continued responses meant that you wanted to have a good faith dialogue, but were unable to understand the question. But just more pointless word vomit on your part, I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 11:07 PM

...isn’t they what these guys are doing? They’re hiding everything about who they are, so they have a chance to convince some lady they don’t even know to spend time with them and give them a chance to entertain her enough to pick him? Every time I see a guy without any potential dealbreakers on his profile, I assume that he’s so desperate for attention that he’s willing to waste time with any women who is willing. It definitely doesn’t communicate “self-respect” to me...

Almost all men on dating sites are open to short term interactions, and have very few dealbreakers related to sex. They don’t want to include any information that would discourage a woman from having casual sex with them. Not saying it’s a good strategy. But I think that’s the strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 10:16 PM

What do you want people to debate? Some people would be surprised at how much some women date? Women don’t talk about their short term dating history much? Where? Why would they?

Women generally don’t have kids with men who think taking care of kids is “women’s work.” Men no longer think taking care of their kids is “women’s work.” Feminism has also resulted in more women working outside the home more, making it impractical or impossible for women to do all the childcare. Feminism has also resulted in more no-fault divorce and men having more custody of kids (because of changing views about gender roles).
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 09:07 PM

...how did a movement that insisted women shouldn’t be only relegated to domestic duties result in both genders participating more equally in professional and domestic spheres?

In 1982, 43% of US fathers had never changed a diaper, not even once. Now it’s 3%. Feminism expanded men’s time and interactions with their children.

Could you give some specific examples? I always hear reference to this. But the only examples I hear about were absolutely not “shut down” (like the boy-scouts), or public accommodations that obviously can’t be sexist or racist by law.

A lot of men do not want to be the only source of financial security for their family. A lot of men want to be involved in raising their children in ways that used to be only in the woman’s sphere.

IF this were true, the implication is that NO men want relationships unless they are completely effortless, AND/OR are based in a society where all women are controlled. IF I thought this were true... of course women would be bummed out about it. But I can’t imagine any woman who would become more interested in giving up personal freedom to date men like this.

Lol. An hour ago, it was easy! Use your fingers and do a search. It’s not difficult Now it’s different! Go pay for the information yourself. Go spend hours digging it up yourself. Weird how that happened. But no worries. I guarantee you, no one wants a paralegal (or an “attorney”) who thinks it’s called “Lexusnexus.”
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 12:37 AM

I am LITERALLY asking you what are you thinking. Use your words to tell me what evidence a plaintiff is going to subpoena to prove they did not have anal sex on a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 12:15 AM

Your girlfriend, an attorney, told you that you cannot mention the names of lawsuits because that would be “publishing” in violation of “LexusNexus” terms of service... Yikes, I hope she doesn’t have any clients!

The site doesn’t allow that. The law does. And there’s almost no chance of a winning a defamation or libel case, because it’s almost impossible to prove that you didn’t have sex on the second date or didn’t have anal sex. So the site would almost certainly be full of false information from guys trying to make money, with almost no chance of negative consequences for lying. But your position is that feminism is the cause of higher poverty of women, because of custody, yes? The solution is simple: Default joined custody. If 50/50 default doesn’t fix the poverty imbalance, what is it the solution to?

/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 05:15 AM

But we both agree that there is a group of women out there who will date you in order to exploit you for money. This group includes women who don’t have sex with you right away, but want to keep dating you for money. They have some sex with you later to keep you on the hook. To me, it seems obvious that this group also includes women who use early sex as a way to get men attached, so they can more reliably exploit them for money. Do you not believe this latter group of women exist? No women use …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:31 AM

Right... so why not just stick with the paid provider, if you’re likely to get a worse deal with a “soulmate” from the dating market?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:24 AM

So, the sex workers fake enthusiasm for money. But the women dating you to exploit you for money... you’re not worried about them faking enthusiasm...

The women who don’t love you, but want to keep dating you... why do they want to do that?

So the motivation to shame promiscuous women when they seek relationships is...?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 05:25 PM
4

Does shaming one give you confidence?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 05:09 PM
3

insistence for men to be more open minded about promiscuous women Insistence meaning what?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 05:07 PM

You prefer “not feeling confident?”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 05:04 PM

And I find your interpretation of personal “growth” as willing to have casual sex with men they aren’t attracted to self-serving, manipulative, and gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 05:02 PM

So the reason men shame promiscuous women is their insecurity.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 04:57 PM

You don’t see the difference between wants and behavior? Wishing for something is a want. Trying to get people to do something they don’t want to is not. But if men can be seen as cool for acting in a way that women are quite literally incapable of, are women really okay with that? Hoping that women fuck more men to avoid feeling incapable or uncool is gross. it’s normal to vouch for attitudes you think are healthy So now women should have pity sex for the their health... Give me a break.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 04:43 PM

1- You are not just saying “I wish,” you’re saying “how do we get them to.” You want to manipulate people. 2- When you ask men if they want to be better lovers, they don’t usually respond “ew.” 3- Massive difference between improving the sex between two people who want to have sex with each other, and convincing women to have sex with men they do not want to have sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 04:09 PM

But that means that what OP is asking for is a big sacrifice for the women involved. “Help men feel more confident in bed, but give up any chance of a loving relationship.”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 03:54 PM

Not the person you’re replying to... but it’s just a selfish proposal. It’s like saying, “It would be cool if more men gave me $100 bills. How do I make this more common?” You want women to be more sexually available to men for the benefit of men. You’re even speculating how women could be emotionally manipulated into doing it, if they felt “less capable,” they might be motivated to have sex with men they don’t actually want to have sex with to ease their insecurity... It’s pretty creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 03:41 PM

But your fundamental question seems to be, “why doesn’t everyone want the same kinds of sex?” There are plenty of gay guys who would love to deflower other gay guys. Maybe they’re seen as “cool” for doing too! They could look at you, and say, “Why aren’t you capable of this? Why are you repulsed by helping gay guys lose their virginity?”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 01:04 PM

Stuff like this? Let’s say he is a straight man, but he feels bad for gay guys who came from small conservative towns who didn’t have the chance to get sexual experience. He has a reputation for being patient and letting guys fuck him in the ass. Does being a guy mean you don’t see that as pity sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 12:39 PM

The choice you’re talking about is voting? Why wouldn’t it be candidate vs. candidate? Or policies vs. policies?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 12:26 PM

Why is this being framed as pity sex? You think that guy had sex with those women out of pity? Why do you think that?

I’m not sure what more you’re looking for. People feel more sad about murders when they relate to the victim and/or feel there’s lost potential somehow. That “semantic” distinction is the foundation of western democracy... you can take it up with John Locke. you’re also saying that men ARE literally forced by government therefore lack of agency Of course child support laws restrict agency... that’s what almost all laws do. Women are given the agency to either keep or abort the baby Again, they are not. They have the agency, and the government has not taken that agency away by outlawing safe medical procedures. The government doesn’t give me the agency to wear pants, but can forbid me to do so. The government can only take away my agency, not grant it. Problem is the obligation behind it Then why have you been pretending to have a conversation about abortion rights? If the only thing you find problematic is men hav…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 11:07 PM

Are you using “involve” to mean impacted by? Yes, obviously women often have agency over their body in the form of deciding whether to have medical procedures, such as abortions. Yes, men are often impacted by these decisions. That’s how most things work? If my partner decides to get a vasectomy, I’m impacted by that choice. If my neighbor paints their house bright orange, I’m impacted by that choice. People have agency over certain things. Other people are impacted by their decisions.

The father shouldn’t have to financially support their child getting fed or having a safe place to live, just because it hasn’t been born yet? How is that a consistent position?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:00 PM

How would child support start at implantation when we couldn’t know who the father is? Because prenatal paternity tests have become accurate and accessible. Even if it weren’t, retroactive/back child support is commonly awarded. The question is whether it should only start at birth.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:49 PM

I really don’t buy this. Why would someone who thinks abortion is murder talk about “avoiding responsibility” at all. If someone murders someone they owe money to, no one says, “I can’t believe they are avoiding accountability for borrowing money!” We tend to focus on the murder bit... People who value the life of the fetus say- give it up for adoption! They don’t say “face the ramifications of unprotected sex!!”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:47 PM
1

Because they are not connected... If an 18 year old about to start college is murdered, everyone will decry that a young person just starting college was killed! But if that person had lived and chosen to drop out of college, they would not have been committing murder by dropping out of college... You can think something matters even if the lack of that thing is not murder.

You are referring extreme cases which rarely happens in real life to generalize your logic. And you made a post about everything except rape, per paragraph 3. If you wanted to talk about a specific “whiny” complaint, you should have made a post just about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:08 AM
2

But we’ve disproven your post. It’s certainly logical to say “I was used for sex” under some circumstances. You agree. It would be illogical to say it under other circumstances, but that’s true of anything that could be said. “I was robbed” is also said under logical and illogical circumstances.

Again: If the woman has sex with him and finds out he lied to manipulate her, then says “he used me for sex,” is she wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 04:44 AM
3

Think about, when you’re hanging out with one of your friends I think this is why so many men are awkward on dates- they want to talk to you the same way they talk to their bros they’ve known since middle school. But that’s not the way you get to know a new person. That dynamic depends on years of shared history and references. That’s something you build. You can’t talk “about something they have in common” until you’ve done the work to figure out what you have in common! You don’t need intervie…

Let’s say the guy was dishonest about something. He lied about his job. He lied about being single. If the woman has sex with him and finds out, then says “he used me for sex,” is she wrong? Is lying to get money different than lying to get sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 04:28 AM

I’m not sure what you mean by internet scam? Let’s say it’s a romance scam or pig butchering scam. The “victim” typically sends the money voluntarily. They don’t “steal your wallet” either. Is that using someone?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 04:13 AM

Is there anything a person can be used for? Can someone use someone for money?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 04:01 AM

Because normally you assume the woman you’ve slept with is thinking that she’d date you... of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:56 AM
3

What you knew from my first response was that I sleep with men. Because that’s what I said. Have a great time saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over again and pretending to have a debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:43 AM
3

The first time I told you about having sex with men, you asked me a question about having sex with women. You are unwilling or unable to pay attention to what anyone else is saying to you. That’s the bare minimum for a debate post.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:34 AM
3

Why, so you can follow up with a question about the women I’ve had sex with? Lol. It’s obvious that you didn’t make this post in good faith. You can’t even be bothered to read other peoples’ comments, much less be open to other viewpoints. You should post somewhere else if you’re not actually interested in debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:27 AM
6

Given that you don’t seem very good at reading the words I write... I don’t have much confidence in your mind-reading abilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:18 AM

Yeah, I guess that’s what is going on with OP. He’s not used to hearing criticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:11 AM
5

I get it though, every woman that has ever had sex had zero other intentions than just fun. I don’t buy it for a second but okay. Every woman that has ever had sex? Is that what you intended your post to be about? It’s really poorly written then.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:09 AM
7

I’m a straight woman. That’s why I mentioned having sex with men. I’m telling you that most of the men I’ve fucked I did not “use” or want to date, the only two options you seem to think exist. Just because your situationship doesn’t treat you like a piece of meat, does not mean she has any interest in being your girlfriend...
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 01:05 AM
7

I rarely felt like, oh she’s just using me for my body for fun, just random d and flesh to her. You’re creating a false dichotomy here. I didn’t “use people for their body” OR want a relationship with most of the men I’ve had sex with. I want to be as friendly with the people I have sex with as I am with the people I go hiking with, see music with, go to brunch with... and I don’t want to be in a romantic relationship with almost any of those humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 12:58 AM

And WHY do people normally talk to their friends about their relationships?

So I have “gaslit” the OP by: 1- Saying that a possible thing is possible 2- Responding to a DEBATE post with an alternate explanation What is it like to walk around the world and be this sensitive? To be so unable to handle being exposed to other ideas?

Why are these the people you choose to vent to?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:02 PM

How would female in-group bias explain this: I have experienced the same from men. If I bring up any issue I have with my husband, the default is for them to immediately side with him, and assume the worst from me.

As opposed to intersex presidents? What are you talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 07:39 PM

What in the world... One minute you’re defining “special” on a first date as baseline attraction or “chemistry.” Now its a blowjob.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 07:34 PM

It’s also possible that these women don’t trust your personal perspective on events. If they’ve observed you be on the “wrong” side of conflicts in the past, they may not think you have great judgement.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 07:15 PM

What drives you to answer questions when you don’t know even understand the words in the question? Arrogance? A need for attention?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 07:01 PM

Men can be attracted to you and not like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:00 PM

Whoa, why are you telling people to only go on dates with people who see them as a special prize? What’s wrong with going on dates with people to get to know them and find out if you think they are special?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 04:44 PM

I thought we were talking about patterns in all media with evil archetypes, so it should be easy to identify examples that are commonly known. But it sounds like you are probably seeking out niche media with specific patterns. Like, “in every movie I watch, the female villain is a hot animal-hybrid!” OK bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 04:23 PM
2

Where are you getting this from? Most mainstream media doesn’t have much supernatural content at all. When it does, I can’t think of many examples where women were the only supernatural villains. Can you name some examples from the last few years?

There is nothing surprising in the request that your partner sees you as special, otherwise why are you together at all? That’s exactly why it’s a bizarre request. If liking someone is WHY you are friends with someone, you don’t REQUEST that your friends like you. If desire is WHY people have sex, you don’t REQUEST that your sex partner desire you.

I don’t understand what you’re asking. Men make up ~49% of the population. Why would men getting a beer together or watching a massively popular sport that you also watch be a “subculture?”

I don’t understand your question.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:32 PM
1

It may very well have been what you were thinking the whole time! I have no idea. I’m not a mind reader. But you can scroll all the way up to your top level comment and see that at no point in this interaction have you said a single thing about defaults. Custody should be 50/50. Then there would not be child support. It is not the case because the state gets a cut.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:18 PM
1

Again, we are not having a conversation about the default. At no point in this thread has either of us referenced the default. You did not say, “the default should be 50/50.” You said, “custody should be 50/50. I understand that you now want to have a completely different conversation. Maybe you should make a new top level comment and see who wants to participate in that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:56 PM
1

But you and I are not talking about that... We’re talking about you saying that children are better off with 50/50 custody from birth than they are being breastfed... I’m asking you to substantiate that claim. If your actual position is that kids best interest can be served by all different kinds of custody splits, depending on the situation, it’s a direct contradiction of what you’ve been saying to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:37 PM
1

Great, do you have any evidence that kids who don’t have 50/50 custody are worse off than other kids? Like, kids with 60/40 custody are at higher risk of ___ than kids with 50/50? I’m trying to figure out how you know those impacts are worse than higher rates of obesity, infection, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:13 PM
2

I’m asking you to clarify what you just said about the best interest of the child. Is it in the best interest of the child to have 50/50 custody from birth, even if that means worse health outcomes? Or is it in the best interest of the child to have a relationship with the non-breastfeeding parent who has parenting time that isn’t 50/50.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:52 PM
1

A relationship from the start? Or 50/50 from the start?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:45 PM
2

So, currently, most jurisdictions explicitly prioritize the wellbeing of the child when making custody decisions. But you’re advocating a shift from that, to prioritize... consequences for adults having sex out of wedlock? That’s more important than the health of the child?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:38 PM
2

So none of these babies can be breastfed?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:28 PM

It would have been terrible if people thought they could get drowned in the club, and roofied in the pool. Everyone is so lucky to have you and your wisdom.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:26 PM

So the second week? Or do you think that they should trade months, when the baby is breastfeeding? Or, she gets the first year, and he gets the second?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:11 PM
1

You just told me this was your point: those aren’t the same. In those things the risks are the non-human elements of nature and physics. At the club… the risk everyone is talking about is men. I’m glad you’re letting everyone know.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 02:10 PM

So yes, you should be taking a newborn away from its breastfeeding mother for equal parenting time?

Abusive by whom though? Again, I have had many men come to me and actively and transparently use money to try to convince me to spend time with them and be in their lives. You are definitely misunderstanding the dynamic. I don’t see women saying the things you state. I see women who are disinterested, and men making them an offer. This has happened to me many many times. In the reverse, men wouldn’t be “looking for women to take them out.” They wouldn’t be looking at all. Women would be looking, and make them an offer, or not. I have to assume that the people making the offer are doing so because they think it’s to their advantage. It’s not a dynamic I’m intereste…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 06:19 AM

Again, when do women pay for a man entirely? What does this have to do with your blatantly false statements about 50-50? Very uncool that you can’t take accountability for that. Studies show men generally don't care how much a woman makes. As if that were a good reason to pretend that no men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 05:30 AM

Because few women actually want to provide for a man. Much more men would provide for a woman financially but few women would Again, how is paying YOUR HALF OF THE RENT IN YOUR HOME paying for someone else? If a roommate pays half of the rent, are they paying for their roommate? Alot the guys who got divorced still don't expect women to make a certain amount. Men generally don't care how much women make We’re not discussing “a lot” or “generally,” but the fact that you’ve never heard of one sing…

You’re not mad... you’re just accusing them of “tricking men” and “leading them on.” Sure. wants a man that does spend on her, 50/50 at minimum How is 50/50 “spending on her?” If she pays her half of the rent, and he pays his half if the rent, is it “for her?” WTF. I’ve never heard of a man wanting a woman who makes x amount Talk to men who got divorced.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 05:09 AM
2

The point is that you can’t be mad that something is for sale if you want to buy it. You want to use money to spend time with women who wouldn’t see you for free, then blame them for it. That makes you a hypocrite. I’m a 50/50 girl. I pay half of everything, but don’t spend a minute of my time with any man who wants to “influence” me with money.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:57 AM

I’m sorry you don’t understand why you can’t frame something as transactional and blame someone else for it being transactional.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:46 AM

You are telling me that you are giving the stuff to influence her. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t try to buy something and be mad it was for sale. You’re being completely ridiculous.

Then what is the trick?!? You don’t go in a store to buy something and accuse the shop owner of tricking you by selling you something!

I don’t know what that has to do with this post or my comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:35 AM

I don’t understand what that has to do with the post. Most cheaters I know have cheated with coworkers. Saying, “men and women cannot be coworkers” is still obviously false. Some people cheating has no bearing either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:13 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:06 AM

Then what’s the trick? If you think spending money on a woman is a way to get her to like you... how are you tricked into doing that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:59 AM

How is that connected to what we’re talking about? Either men influence women to like then by buying things, or men are tricked into buying things by women who don’t like them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:56 AM

What does that have to do with my question? Would you say that any bros who don’t do these things aren’t real friends?

You can’t hardly ever go to clubs, but claim to know how often the people there on a random Saturday night go to the club. Pick a struggle- you’re a club expert or you hardly ever go to clubs.

The WNBA doesn’t allow any journalists in the locker room, male or female. Many male teams and leagues are the same way.

A symptom of what problem? Boy Scouts membership declined 50%. What problem was that a symptom of?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 09:50 PM

The problem with the Boy Scouts is that boys stopped going before girls were admitted. Participation was down by 50%. Maybe boys do need the Boy Scouts, but girls are not why they lost it.

If asking you to substantiate your claim is acting in “bad faith,” I think you’re going to be disappointed in most forums. I would actually love to think that a lack of male spaces were the problem. But the men who say that are never able to support it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 09:40 PM
2

The Boy Scouts is why I asked for an example. Everyone brings that up. Participation in the boy scouts declined by half BEFORE girls were allowed to join. They let girls in because they desperately needed members and their money. This example does not support your theory at all... The MLB one is a new one... You need your employer to provide a male-only bonding spaces at work to not be lonely?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 09:32 PM

Could you provide a specific personal example of this? Like, “my dad was a member of the ___ chapter of the ___ organization and it became coed by force when ____.”

Yeah, spending time chatting with married women, picking out date locations for them, going on dates with them, paying for them, working to make the money to pay for dates with married women, meeting their husbands... talking about it all online. Sounds like a great use of OPs time.

You said you don’t believe me that women date while in a relationship still I did not. There are two subjects here: 1- What you said about your actual experience dating cheating women. This is what I asked about. This is what I fully believe you are lying about. 2- What you have said about women in general. This is what you keep changing the subject to. I have said absolutely nothing about it. At this point, I assume you are genuinely unable to distinguish between these two things. Good luck wit…

I’m glad the thing you told us about your life “sounds about right” when someone repeats it back to you. Jesus Christ.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:41 PM
6

And none of that relates to your claim about your life that you change the subject from every time someone asks for elaboration. I do not believe that you went on 40 dates with women cheating on exclusive boyfriends and husbands and had no way to know any of those women had exclusive boyfriends and husbands.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:38 PM

We are all questioning you about what you claim to be YOUR actual personal experience, and you keep deflecting to talk about what women in general are “probably doing.”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:31 PM

This is a blatant misrepresentation of what you stated. You did NOT say “probably 20%” of anything You said 20% of your actual dates are actually cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:21 PM
12

I’m not asking if it has happened. You are telling this that this is a massive pattern in your life! You said you meet most taken women on dating sites and Instagram. How many partnered women did you meet on Instagram without any way to tell that they were partnered or married?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:15 PM
17

I’ve met A person who has done almost everything. I’ve met A person who was a fury. But if someone told me that 20% of their first dates were with furries accidentally, I’d be asking questions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:12 PM

You’re meeting married women on Instagram with no pictures of their husband, no comments that look like they’re from their husband, and googling their name doesn’t show a husband?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:06 PM
9

Why are you assuming that he never has any way to know? He says he meets a lot of these women on Instagram. It’s more likely to meet cheating women there (because they don’t have to put their face on a dating site and risk getting caught), AND there’s often evidence that they’re in a relationship (wedding photos, comments from a partner, etc) if you take the time to look.

A lot of people can’t be with their “goal” type of person. But they can try to make an accessible person feel worse, in the hopes of getting the upper hand in their interactions. There are men who do this with women’s age, but also body weight, kids, anything that could make someone feel less than. Anything to try to make a woman feel like she couldn’t find someone else who would treat her better.

Men’s drinks get spiked too, and not just at clubs. Some studies suggest 20% of victims are men. It’s happened at other bars, sometimes with the same motivation to sexually assault someone, but also to rob someone or just mess with them. So do you never order drinks out?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 05:43 AM

You’d never put yourself in what situation, specifically? I know you’re talking about clubs here, but the logic should still make sense. “I’d never put myself in a situation where my physical safety is at risk.” You probably don’t mean that, right? You’d never be able to do anything. So what is it?

Again, nothing you have said makes your aunt an example of the title. She thought you were one kind of man. She found out you were a different kind of man. She didn’t really like the actual you. That’s completely different than a woman actually getting you to change and disliking the person you become. I’m completely baffled that you think these situations are the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 04:15 AM
1

I thought all of these were examples of the same phenomenon. Women end up hating the men they create. We’re all trying to figure out how your aunt is an example of this. the hatred comes when women change their men But it sounds like you agree that your aunt did not change you...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 04:03 AM

So when you talk about the guy who goes to the gym... Are you saying she hates the fit guy, because that’s an expectation she created in her mind that later wasn’t met? Or are you saying she hates the guy who is a “pud of flesh?”

Your point is that if you know someone is insecure about something, pointing it out makes them feel worse. And when a man makes his partner feel worse when she’s naked, it shows that he’s... sexually secure. 🤪
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 04:09 AM

Pointing out her hip dips but saying he doesn’t mind them? Lol, OK.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 04:04 AM

What does awareness have to do with pointing out flaws on someone’s body?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 03:57 AM

It was your point...
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 03:54 AM

So not what you just said? You’re insecure about something as a woman? Then you avoid dating someone who exceeds at that quality you’re insecure about.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 03:46 AM

In your imagination, it’s secure men looking at a naked woman’s body and saying, “you have hip dips, but I don’t mind?”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 03:43 AM

How does that apply in this context? He doesn’t hip dips?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 03:41 AM

insecure women would rather be in a relationship who doesn’t make them feel bad about their flaws 😬

2

Maybe. So what?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 12:42 AM
3

Who says they can’t?? I’m just saying that lot of women only want to have kids under very specific circumstances. You aren’t obligated to provide those circumstances! And she isn’t obligated to have your baby!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 12:41 AM
10

Most women just don’t want to go through the risk of having a kid with someone who doesn’t trust them. It’s a huge leap of faith on her side.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:30 PM
1

Lol, I’ll leave it here. If you think every women who gave you the ability to message her “decided that she was into you,” I don’t want to burst your bubble. Enjoy all the women who decided they were into you!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:57 AM
1

...are you characterizing women swiping right as “deciding that they’re into someone?” You can’t be serious?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:48 AM
1

Bro, you said them both. That’s the point. Dating apps are also the most superficial place to meet people, where once again, who you are doesnt matter as long as you're attractive lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:40 AM
1

Sure, you said that after saying that looks are the ONLY metric, then saying the most important metric, then saying that personality doesn’t matter if you’re attractive, then saying personality can still disqualify you if you’re attractive, then agreeing that geography can disqualify you before looks, then saying that attractive men aren’t immediately ruled out... It would be easier to list the things you didn’t say!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:26 AM
1

Thanks, I’ll add that to the garbage pile of contradictory statements you’ve made. who you are doesnt matter as long as you're attractive lmao. Attractive men can talk themselves out of a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:20 AM
1

Thanks, if I had any lingering doubt that it was massively stupid to rank dealbreakers, I’m fully convinced now.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:13 AM
1

So... geography can’t be the most important metric, because too many people care about it? Are you for real? Or just allergic to answering questions?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:03 AM
1

Another woman said something about it not being “as important.” This woman said that dealbreakers are dealbreakers. I have no clue why you (or she) think one dealbreaker is more important than another. That’s why I’m asking. Most people explicitly select by geography FIRST. That seems to be your only argument that attractiveness is “more important,” chronology. So why is appearance the most important if it isn’t actually first?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:48 AM
1

Why isn’t geography the most important metric? If most people aren’t interested in learning about anyone out of their area?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:37 AM
1

You said: if the decision on whether you're even interested or not is based on how attractive someone is, then it is the ONLY metric used when picking a partner lmao If a woman can get the ick from an attractive man, looks aren’t the only metric.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:35 AM
1

Most important? Or only thing that matters? Half an hour ago, you said: who you are doesnt matter as long as you're attractive lmao. But now hot guys can get unmatched because of their personality?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:24 AM
1

she chose men that gave her the ick What? When?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:14 AM
1

Who were you referring to when you just said “those men?” Did you mean to say “most men?”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:07 AM
1

According to me? If you want to discuss something I said, please quote it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:04 AM
1

Yep, no man has ever sent a message to a woman that turned her off. Has never happened. No woman has ever gotten the ick.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:03 AM
1

And if appearance is the only thing that matters, they should never unmatch...
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 01:59 AM
1

But why would a woman ever unmatch an attractive guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 01:50 AM
1

Weird, I constantly see men on Reddit complaining that women unmatch them, flake out on dates, judge them if they don’t pay the bill, ghost them. But all of these guys must be attractive and nothing else matters...
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 01:45 AM
1

We’ve already discussed that that isn’t the case? Literally the first thing people do on dating sites is pick a mileage limits. People often pick filters for education, religion, kids... all before ever seeing a single photo. Women disqualify most men before ever knowing what they look like.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 01:35 AM
1

Those were a response to your premise that looks are known before personality... are you following along? If the first thing you know is the only thing that matters, looks don’t matter, because you find out location before looks in almost all cases. If looks can matter even when you find them out later, so can personality and 1000 other factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 01:11 AM
1

Maybe you need to decide what you’re saying. If your position is that physical appearance is the ONLY thing that matters because it’s the FIRST dealbreaker, that’s obviously false because it’s often not the first dealbreaker (for example, geography is often first). If your position is something else, say that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 12:37 AM
1

You might be? Because I don’t know why it’s confusing that I don’t want to date people who have my dealbreakers, no matter what they are (geography, looks, kids, personality, or 1000 other things). Whichever one I find out first ends it. Sometimes that is looks, sometimes it’s something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 12:35 AM
1

Why would I rule someone out because I found them attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 12:27 AM
1

Why wouldn’t it matter if it can still disqualify you? Let’s say I go on two dates with hot guys. One my date with Ben, I find out that he has kids, so I decide not to go on another date with him. On my date with Mike, I find out that he’s incredibly introverted and shy, so I decide not to go on another date with him. Does it matter that Ben has kids? Does it matter that Mike is introverted?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 12:24 AM
1

Do you disagree that people put geographic limits on their online dating search before seeing photos? Do you accuse me of lying about not being interested in meeting men who have kids, without knowing what the men look like?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 12:10 AM
1

I have been in many situations where I have declined to get to know people because of the first thing I found out about them. Physical appearance is only one of those things. But there are many times when people would tell me about an acquaintance and I would not be interested without knowing anything about heir appearance. I have decided not to date men with kids, without ever seeing the man. I have decided not to date men I’m not attracted to, without ever finding out if they have kids. Neithe…

2

If I refuse to get to know someone because they live in Florida, what part did their physical appearance play in my decision?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:55 PM
2

Not sure what that has to do with my point, that it’s completely ridiculous to identify any particular dealbreaker as the ONLY thing people consider when picking a partner. Even when people join a dating site, they pick a geographic limit before they even see anyone’s photo! Your same argument could apply, making geography the “only” thing people consider.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:47 PM
1

In what way is personality more important What are you referring to?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:37 PM
3

That makes absolutely no sense. You could say that about a million factors. I’d never date anyone who was 30 years older than me. Therefore, age is the ONLY metric I use to pick a partner? I’d never date anyone in prison. Therefore, incarceration is the ONLY metric I use to pick a partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 11:24 PM
1

It’s a useless distinction because you’re still in a situationship having sex with your ex and living with him so you’re effectively out of the dating market This would apply to him too, right? So more guys are partnered than it looks like, yes?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 10:50 PM

When more women dated and got married more, divorce rates were the highest in recorded history. Why assume single older women are going to be more unhappy?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 09:27 PM

You are claiming that women can just exist and be in a respectful loving relationship with a compatible partner? Are you fucking serious? 1500+ US women existed last year that don’t exist this year because THEY WERE MURDERED BY THEIR PARTNERS. Fuck you.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 08:50 PM
1

Dude, you are the one telling me how amazing it is to have access to date so many guys. If it’s amazing, you can do it! If being in a respectful relationship with a compatible partner of the opposite sex is what’s amazing, both men and women have it to the exact same degree.

You said “we” what?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 07:28 PM

I’m implying that you said low birth rates are a problem that “needs” to be “fixed” by “women.” Because that is specifically what you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 07:21 PM
1

Sucks for young men though Gee, who else might it suck for? If the older men are dating the younger women? I was talking more about the ease of dating, not the actual choices made Then GO ON GRINDR. Again, if any match or any fuck or any relationship means dating is easy for you, DATING CAN BE EASY FOR YOU. If quality matters, absolutely nothing you have said or referenced supports the theory that dating is easier for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 07:18 PM
14

Birth rates are super low. How do we fix this? Women need to become more active... Give me a break.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 07:10 PM
12

You need to pick a position. “It’s up to women” “Women need to” “Women should” “Improves her chances” These are different positions. Decide whether you are telling women what they are obligated to do to solve society’s problems OR whether you’re giving women individual women dating advice. Because those aren’t the same debates.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 07:05 PM

it feels inappropriate to have the same old financial split by default Why does that feel inappropriate? Considering that the default is not required, and that prenups are an option?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 06:42 PM

So which one of those explanations suggests that dating is easy for women? If it’s the age gap, doesn’t that mean that the overall percent of men and women in loving relationships is the same? If it’s that many women in relationships are dating men with multiple relationships, does that really convince you that finding a loving relationship is easy for women? I don’t understand why you think this data point supports your position at all.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 05:27 PM

Your proof that dating is easy for women is the existence of loving heterosexual relationships? That would ALSO prove that dating is easy for men, because men are in the exact same number of those SAME RELATIONSHIPS.

zero effort or self-improvement needed to get into a relationship Again, if A relationship were the goal (sexual or otherwise), men could access it on Grindr. But we both agree that a relationship with anyone is not the goal.

A delusion is a false belief, that is easily proven false. You cannot reference a single false belief that you think women with high standards actually hold! Not a single one of these is a delusion these women hold: the delusion is that the person you might want might not exist Nope you’ll never meet him Nope he won’t commit to you Nope Thats the delusion - that you have very high standards Nope refuse to lower them Nope or settle with someone Nope Let’s think about people who play the lottery: …

Something can’t be bad if it took effort to do? What?

Certainty? Promiscuity is not required for paternity uncertainty.

Why does the preferences of other people determine what is and is not restraint?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 02:56 AM

But a guy with syphilis-brain is still high value?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 02:10 AM

Why does it matter for the woman if she’s a slut, if it has nothing to do with value? Why do a woman’s questionable choices matter, if they have nothing to do with value?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 02:01 AM

Do you also know that he is a slut? Do you also know that he makes questionable choices? Why or why not?

Why don’t you think there are any nice guys on Grindr?

Most people are having sex. Why do you think otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/25 01:08 AM
1

Most people aren’t honest about what they are talking about when they say “IT is harder for men.” If you say, “getting laid by the opposite sex is harder for men,” you’ll get plenty of agreement.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/25 10:51 PM
1

Feel free to explain how it’s an analogy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/25 10:45 PM
1

But he wasn’t committed to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 07:56 PM
1

“If you are truly committed it’s done” Sorry, what do you mean? What kind of commitment did you make to the person you dated for the least amount of time?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 07:32 PM
1

So if you date someone for one month, you think you have the same bond with them as a spouse and that the breakup will be equivalent to a divorce?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 07:23 PM
8

The premise here is that all men are selfish at heart, but many men think about their partners needs because of competition.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 05:29 PM

It seems like you are equating: Exposing complete strangers to my sexual thoughts with Have standards and preferences for people who have chosen to interact with me This is deeply fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 05:19 PM
2

But HOW are they delusional if the person is willing to be single? If I “say, I’ve decided to be stay single, but if Pedro Pascal asked me out, I would go,” am delusional? What is the delusion? What is the erroneous belief I’m holding?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 05:12 PM
1

Whoa, you’re saying likes and matches aren’t enough to have an easy dating life? Other things matter, like whether you’re attracted to them? It’s almost like that’s the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 05:07 PM
1

Believe it or not, that’s not a particular complaint that friends come to me about.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 05:05 PM
0

I didn’t make an analogy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 04:56 PM
2

“What they think these women’s standards should be” meaning WHAT? Every time I see this “argument,” men insist that it’s just fine for women to be single! But then they tell me the problem with delusional standards is that they mean women will be single.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 04:55 PM
6

So the disconnect is that people have a new definition of “delusional?”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 12:46 PM
1

Meaning?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 12:39 PM
3

Make men responsible? By what mechanism?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 12:11 PM
7

WHAT IS THE DELUSION? What erroneous belief do these women hold?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 12:08 PM
12

But the premise we’re discussing is: standards aren’t delusional if you’re willing to remain single You’re response seems to be: *You’re delusional because you might be single with those standards.” How is that is a delusion?!? That is the literal plan.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 11:56 AM
1

What’s the delusion?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 11:29 AM
19

Too high standards for what. If I say, “I’ll only go to the movie theater if there’s a Christopher Nolan movie playing, otherwise I’d rather watch tv home alone,” am I delusional? Are my standards too high because I don’t go to the movie theater “enough?” Who decides what enough is? Dating is completely optional. No one has to date AT ALL. So why is going one one date a year not enough?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 11:22 AM
13

What is your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 11:01 AM
11

In this analogy, getting rapped is equivalent to... what?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 10:41 AM
18

How “must women be held accountable“ for having autonomy? For not dating anyone they don’t want to date?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 10:39 AM
7

You’re just going to think of them, but not tell anyone... that’s a choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 04:18 AM
17

I’m often hearing complaints from people who were actively harmed, and people who were not actively harmed. Women will tell me stories about the things done to them- someone followed them home, someone lied, someone took the condom off during sex, etc. Men primarily complain about... nothing. What did she do to you? Nothing! That’s the common complaint. She didn’t swipe right, didn’t write back, didn’t agree to go on a date, etc. Those are never going to get the same levels of sympathy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 04:15 AM
1

Wow, I assumed he was an in-law or something. Someone you are stuck with. But you and all your friends are just choosing to spend time with this guy, spend time looking at his Facebook page, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/25 04:06 AM
9

So, you would say that all men want to behave that way, but only some men are allowed to?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 11:20 PM
4

Why do you think they treated women that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 11:13 PM

Organizations/news outlets should not have written about her story? Someone should not have posted her photo and story on Reddit? People on Reddit should not have commented a post about her with concern for her?

And that does not make a hint an accusation.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 04:09 PM
2

I’m not sure why you keep referring to the case? She did not accuse Depp of abuse in her article. As you acknowledge, she only hinted at it. AND she was found liable for defamation. The second point does not change the first point, no matter how much you want it to.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 04:06 PM

trying to make it harder for men to file for defamation claims What are you referring to?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 03:56 PM

hinted towards Johnny Depp Yes, that’s why I’m saying that your statement was false. That’s not an accusation against someone. Again, we don’t disagree about the facts of the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 03:36 PM

We’re not disagreeing about whether she was found liable for defamation. We’re disagreeing about YOUR statement that she accused him of abuse. I don’t have any reason to think that occurred. Do you?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 03:24 PM

I thought she didn’t even use his name? How is that an accusation.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 03:12 PM

What was Amber Heard’s false accusation against Johnny Depp?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 03:09 PM

you want marriages to last forever Again, quote the specific thing I said that you want to discuss.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 02:31 PM
2

Did you mean to write this to me? It’s not an answer to my question.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 02:21 PM
2

why do you want to live in misery Please specifically quote what I said that you have interpreted to be this position.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 02:15 PM
3

You already agreed that you misrepresented wedding vows. You are not arguing in good faith.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:58 PM
3

I’m not following. Why would you actively misrepresent something based on whether it’s important or not? I wouldn’t lie about where a season of real housewives took place just because I don’t think it matters. Why would you actively and knowingly misrepresent something?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:52 PM
3

Then why did you feel the need to misrepresent them? Why pretend they aren’t lifetime vows if they don’t matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:46 PM
3

But you just said they aren’t lifetime vows, but now you say they are lifetime vows that people just don’t mean...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:37 PM
3

Sorry, which is it? People don’t make lifetimes vows, OR People lifetime vows, they just don’t mean them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:34 PM
5

Perhaps your friends are writing their own vows, and being honest about settling, getting married for cake, and their lack of commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:18 PM
10

The premise here is that things did not “go bad.” Both people got what they signed up for. And my argument is that someone who dishonestly makes a lifetime vow to another person because they wanted a cake and a tax break is doing something morally wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:06 PM
6

Then why did she get married?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 01:00 PM
30

I disagree that a divorce is just a breakup.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 12:59 PM
34

But telling a 20 yo woman to settle for the nice guy instead of exploring is just silly Extremely weird that you are lumping boyfriends and husbands together in this post. I don’t think anyone should marry anyone they forced themselves to be attracted to... But people who make that choice need to take accountability for the harm they are doing to the person they chose to use and then abandon.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 12:09 PM

“and he wanted to try average people before sex workers.” I’d help him by giving him the advice that now isn’t the time to try to save a few bucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 12:01 PM
14

You’re self-selecting for women who have sex with men they barely know...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 06:43 AM
1

In what capacity are you interacting with him?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/25 04:36 AM

You: “It’s only men that are volunteering to do the heavy work” ONLY Your position is demolished by even a single example.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/25 11:50 PM
18

You think relationships where only one person is happy are the ones that last?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/25 09:48 PM
13

Glad you brought up having a baby. Let’s say the man is the “leader.” He wants to have a baby. She didn’t want to have a baby. He decides they will have a baby. How does that work? How many people end up happy in that scenario?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/25 09:47 PM
9

Talk to your therapist about how you entered a conversation about 1) women being raped, and 2) men being falsely of crimes that can result in decades of incarceration... ...and how your first instinct was to make the conversation about yourself because a girl in high school didn’t like you staring at her.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 04:17 PM

Emotionally supporting a man = not being emotionally supported by my partner because he can’t handle me having emotions. That would be a hard pass from me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 04:14 PM

I’m not asking about reality. I’m asking about the reality that OP believes in.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 04:13 PM

What a creepy thing to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 03:35 PM

You’re telling women their only choices are to be with men who don’t love them or men who will abandon them/self-destruct. Why would women be interested in either?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 03:33 PM
48

Sure, I bet deadbeat dads abandon their kids because they love them tooo much to handle their babies crying. The only men who can parent their kids are men who don’t love them and think they’re replaceable. Due to their abundance mindset, obviously. /s
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 03:24 PM

Would you trade places with someone in prison because they were wrongly convicted of a crime?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 03:21 PM

How is being insulted the same as facing decades in prison because of a crime you didn’t commit?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 06:22 AM

What in the world do you think rape means??
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 06:21 AM
2

So, your girlfriend takes longer to return your call because she had food poisoning... you take that personally and think everyone should take that personally...
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 02:21 AM
3

So you take everything your partner does personally?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 02:15 AM
3

Why dies he need ways not to “take it personally?”
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 02:08 AM
3

...you don’t think this post is about insecurity?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 02:04 AM
9

Plenty of men do things in relationships when they’re younger and more insecure that they would not do for later partners, after they’ve gained more self-respect. This is normal behavior for people who grow and mature.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 02:00 AM
5

I think most people are able to guess that it’s about insecurity pretty accurately.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 01:51 AM
1

What argument is in the OP to refute?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 11:24 PM
1

But it sounds like you understand that there are a many reasonable situations in which someone would treat you differently than an ex, even sometimes including when they treated an ex “better” because they were incredibly good-looking. So what‘s the plan? How do you manage this in relationships? Do you try to figure out how someone treated all their exes? Do you try to figure out how attractive your partner found them? Do you then try to tease out whether this was something they stopped doing be…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 11:10 PM
2

I’m totally OK dating men who realized they made dumb decisions in past relationships because they thought it was important to date a woman who liked like a model. I didn’t enjoy it when men put me on a pedestal because of my appearance, and don’t think that is “better.” I much prefer being in reciprocal partnerships where we’re both taking care of ourselves and each other. And that means not repeating a lot of different kinds of behavior from past relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:47 PM
7

I don’t know if anyone thinks that’s healthy. You’ll have to ask around.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:39 PM
1

How would that relate to this conversation? We’re discussing a hypothetical couple that is headed towards marriage or already married.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:34 PM
2

But at some point, most people mature and think, “Wow, buying a bunch of expensive gifts for someone just because they were especially conventionally attractive was pretty stupid. From now on, I’m going to think harder about what is actually right for me and the relationships I’m in.” You seem to oppose people understanding their own behavior and growing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:28 PM
1

I don’t understand how that is consistent with your past comments. Could you elaborate?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:18 PM
10

But there’s a conflict between “I didn’t care enough to ask” and “this is so important to me we might have to get divorced.” If you have standards and dealbreakers, do your due diligence to discover them so you can part ways early! It’s ridiculous to be outraged about aspects of your partner you never bothered to show any curiosity about.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:14 PM
1

Aren’t you saying that abortion in the case of rape IS “ethical murder?”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 08:38 PM
-1

Men should have the right to opt out of parenthood by contract BEFORE SEX. Provide your sex partner with a waiver that you will not be supporting any subsequent children, and get her signature. Men don’t need the ability to make a decision after pregnancy occurs, because their body is not being impacted.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 08:33 PM

Haven’t we had the internet long enough to realize that the “best” relationships on social media are often the worst relationships in real life? And your wife’s ex contacting you to tell you about their sex life... no reason to question the veracity of those claims! 🤪
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:49 PM
3

And your position is that every man I date, I’m obligated to treat the same or better as the last man? If I get one boyfriend a $50 gift, I can never get a more affordable gift again for the rest of my romantic life?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:36 PM

If I gave my last boyfriend expensive gifts every week, I would have ruined my finances. Gifts are “positive,” but my choices still would have been a mistake that I should learn from.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:23 PM

Sometimes someone did more for someone else because they were more into them. Sometimes someone did more for someone else because of insecurity/co-dependence. Sometimes they just realized they couldn’t sustain those efforts, and it ruined their past relationships. I expect that people to change over time. I would find it much stranger to learn that someone treated every partner exactly the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:20 PM

Why would someone behave the same way in every relationship? Wouldn’t that just repeat the same mistakes of failed relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:09 PM

I think this is an under appreciated reason that women prefer dating men who have options. People often think that men with few options will be really appreciative of having a partner, and treat them well. In my experience, men with few options are much more likely to pressure women into doing things they don’t want to do. They are more likely to try to manipulate the woman who dates them, because finding someone else isn’t an easy alternative. It makes for really miserable relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:07 PM

Concessions? What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 07:02 PM

Meaning what? Doing sex acts you don’t like? Having more sex than you want to? Why are these things better?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 06:48 PM

Didn’t appreciate it? What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 06:45 PM
16

Why won’t you say what you mean?? People are asking over and over what you mean by “passionate,” and you just say “passionate.” Say what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 06:36 PM
1

Every time people claim to have a source for this, it’s not about lesbian relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 05:58 AM

“Domestic violence includes violent victimizations committed by current or former intimate partners or family members.” That shows absolutely nothing about lesbian relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 05:51 AM

Too often, posts here make me think, “damn, this guy has clearly never talked to an actual woman in his life!” But this one make me think, “damn, he’s never had a dog either!”

You can have fun without respect... except when you can’t. Respect isn’t important... except when it is. You are not saying anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/24 05:39 PM
5

But you are confirming that you can’t have fun without respect, which is the exact opposite of your post. Your post: if the dog bites you, build your relationship on fun instead Your comments: obviously you can’t have fun with a dog that bites you ???
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/24 05:15 PM
4

Did you forget your position? You are the person who thinks traveling with disrespectful people is fun. I’m asking you how.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/24 04:58 PM
3

There’s no argument here? There’s nothing to suggest that this strategy is better than the alternative.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/24 04:36 PM
8

How can you travel with someone who doesn’t have respect or empathy for you? If you’re asleep, and they feel like turning the lights and the tv on, they will. If they feel like packing up and leaving you with the hotel bill, they will. It’s hard to even make plans to go to a restaurant with someone who doesn’t respect your time.
