Do you still keep your ex pictures together?I deleted every picture with my ex in the heat of the divorce. She used to complain about me taking photos, now she has lost a ton of photos of her and the kids… I now regret it, but not that much | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/07/26 07:35 PM
I Hate that She Put me Here: Dating in 2026 is HorrendousI agree, learn to embrace solitude, once you do someone will come along and ruin it! | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/26 04:51 PM
Someone tell me what to doI’m around 4-5yrs post divorce. I struggle with the same feelings. I feel like I’m just passing time until I die. I don’t enjoy work or time off, the only thing I like is sleep. I feel like that a good percentage of the time and then other times it lets up a little. Hitting the gym 6-7days a week seems to help a bit. Finding friends, or reconnecting with old friends, making a plan to meet up, it really helps. Try building your own things to look forward to, find the rhythm of trips or hangs with… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/26 04:12 AM
4 Years UpdateI’m right around the same timeline as you, 3 kids, and now late 40’s. Your post nails it. I’m just living day to day and I don’t expect much for future romance. I’m hopeful for another phase of life when the kids are all grown. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/12/25 05:03 AM
Men who divorced with kids — how do you feel now?I have three teens, my ex and I have been divorced for 4 years and were together for 18yrs. I feel fortunate that we were able to keep the divorce from getting too nasty, there were hard pills to swallow like splitting the house that I put so much of my time and labor into remodeling. The fear of her wanting more than 50/50 time split with the kids, all of that was hard. Once the divorce was done the stress died down and after a year or two we were able to be around each other a bit more and bot… | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/25 03:45 PM
Ex-Wife Reaction to me datingPlan some nice getaways with your new girl, then let it slip when asking if she can watch the kids on a specific weekend…. Me and new girl are going to Cabo. That will burn her up | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/12/25 07:56 PM
Happy fucking Thanksgiving. My kids are with my ex for tday. 5 years after divorce it still hurts on holidays. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/11/25 02:46 AM
Unable to Move on- Ready to DieI’m just about to hit year 4 after divorce. Believe me when I say it gets so much better. Life as you know it was ripped out from under you, it takes time to figure out how to live a new life and find new meaning. I’m still not “over it” but I was where you are around that same time, the improvement in my happiness has really trended upwards in the last 2years. Don’t give up. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/25 05:16 AM
I don’t know when to give up or how to leaveBest years of your life are starting the moment you move out. 30 is young. I read that a large number of divorces happen when one spouse’s age ends in 9. Something to do with the amount of introspection and assessing life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/07/23 08:06 PM
Fucked up countryThat’s great. I would get I’m in for some of the same with her. She already asked me how fix some things and what my plans were for various areas in the house….of course I’m not helping her, I’m too busy working on my new place now | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/23 08:52 PM
Fucked up countryThis was me also, did a bunch of remodeling myself to save money, busted my ass. My parents gave me personal monetary gifts periodically too, that I then spent on the remodel. Then after cheating on me and me trying to salvage the relationship for three years, she had the audacity to say she was sick of living in a construction zone and wasn’t happy with me. Now she bought me out of the house and is trying to find contractors to finish the work… it’s going to be a massive wake up call. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/23 07:33 PM
Fucked up countryYup, that’s what happened to me after 15yrs, 3kids, and her staying home with kids the entire time. All the while carrying on with an ex-boyfriend. Quite the jackpot for her | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/23 07:29 PM
I am afraid.I really focused with my kids on how the split was just “change” and that they didn’t need to anticipate good or bad, that there would be positives and negatives to be had in every change and encouraged them to go with the the flow and express their thoughts and feelings. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/06/23 12:53 AM
I feel like I now hate womenI will never allow myself to get as close as I did with my ex. I am done with cohabitation for sure. For a long time I have felt that humans have the natural tendency to blame someone when they feel bad internally, you see it in workplaces frequently, and when you share a life there is a huge tendency to place the blame on the other person for your own internal struggles. So I say fuck it… I’m done | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/05/23 07:07 PM
Cheating Wife's lawyer reached out it's divorce timeSorry man, something very similar happened to me, 20yrs total together, 15 married, 3 kids…. Find out that she had been emailing and calling an ex boyfriend against our rules for 10yrs of our marriage and then sealed the deal and banged him. I fought to keep her, we went to counseling, we tried for 3 more years. Only to have her tell me that she still wasn’t happy with me. We just finalized the divorce in mediation. I am forcing myself to find the positive outlook, find the ways to make this a g… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/04/23 03:58 AM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)?Dang! Send me those girl’s digits! Hook a fellow divorcé up. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/23 08:04 PM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)? It’s no where near as fun when you don’t want to kiss or go down on the person | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/23 05:30 PM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)?Lol! seasoned sexual humans can use each other’s bodies to masturbate. As the famous poet 50 cent said: I am NOT in to having sex, I AM in to making love, so come give me your embrace if you are into me and my lover sensually touching you | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/23 05:19 PM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)?True. You also don’t get an emotional connection at all. The thrill is not the same. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/23 12:35 PM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)?Meh. There are always massage parlors and prostitutes if you are feeling the itch. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/23 04:56 AM

Screwed by CourtsI wish it was that easy, or I had that many assets…lol. I couldn’t ditch my kids, they are awesome and we have fun. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/23 03:19 AM
Is it better to marry girls who want to be SAHMs or ones who are career-oriented and “independent”?I think it’s more important to work out your shared life vision, both commit to working full time, outline vision for time off if you have a kid, set saving and budget priorities, etc… then put that shit in a prenup. My wife and I had three kids pretty quickly, with the discussed and written out plan of her going back to work immediately after the final kid was in kindergarten. Well she didn’t go back, she just did some baby sitting and tutoring, then after a year she wined about wanting to home… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/04/23 04:19 PM
Screwed by CourtsIf that happens to me in my coming divorce I will become homeless and quit working. Or commit a crime to end up in jail. Fuck this world | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/04/23 04:15 AM
Divorce.Check this guy out, this video made me feel a bit better. Just keep in mind that you can’t control her leaving, so just do your best at designing your own future, and be there for your son. Im in the same boat, but with three kids after 15yrs of marriage. I’m most looking forward to getting back in touch with myself, having silence at times, and being responsible towards my best. https://youtu.be/VxGzjIoFf8Q | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/11/22 01:57 AM
