It is true though that record numbers of men are pussies and frightened of the cops or being e-cancelled or whatever (whether they're right to feel this way is here nor there). So even though some women are tired of being offered cock so much online and WILL respond with hostility if you hit on them, some women today will actually be flattered at a man approaching her IRL, seriously. If you have even a sort of pleasant face, you might be surprised how even baddies will respond to a compliment or…

My point is still that you're exaggerating/cherry-picking - and it actually hurts your argument. You could be right otherwise and this could still be true.

I'm not saying you have to believe me - and I am not here (directly) advocating the theory you refer to. What I'm saying is that you are presenting the most extreme version of the argument to make it easier to dismiss.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 01:13 PM

You're doing a bit of argumentum ad absurdum here. The more moderate chud argument on who women date isn't that they never date average men - it's that there's a distinction between the hot guys women date in their youth and the schlubby guys they shack up with when Chad stops texting or whatever.

I don't think this will really work. Deep down, men will feel like this sh_ is fake and gay and want real pussy. Also, there will always be a minority of guys somewhere actually fucking outside whatever the rules are and getting away with it. I also don't think this is the same for women as it is for men. Women have always been more okay being passive - it is more painful for men to realise they're being neutered and desexed than women.

The problem with friends first and getting to know each other is that people (usually but not always women) find reasons to stop liking the other person ("icks", in current parlance) before getting down and doing the nasty. Besides cliches about Chad seeming cooler and more confident or whatever, this is actually a real problem. It's not necessarily an argument for promiscuity per se - arranged marriages and matchmaking also fixed this problem (but obviously created a new one - people can figure…

Your decision to go to work is heavily influenced by government policy (mostly sticks, rather than carrots). The government has implemented policies (inflationary monetary policy is another one) designed to force you to the factory floor or office cubicle. They have made it so you are unlikely to save enough money to leave the workforce before retirement age - and they have done this on purpose. The unfortunate long-term implications of what I'm saying when it comes to birth rates should be obvi…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 01:40 PM

But you feel obliged to work because of government policies designed to force you to. If the government provided you with a more generous unemployment benefit including housing, you could choose to work or not to work at your leisure.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 01:26 PM

I'm not disagreeing with you about any of that. All the same, governments will eventually have to try and reverse the situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:57 AM

Women approach Chad the men they are interested in. They don't need you going over to tip your fedora and ask her to go to the movies with you or whatever.

I am comparing it to working, because it something that society as a whole has a stake in people doing. Obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:39 AM

You are not doing anyone any favors by popping out kids. This is inconveniently not true. Societies where people refuse to have children will have higher dependency ratios and a massive pension cost burden compared to societies where people have 2.1 kids per family, even with immigration.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:39 AM
1

What does the government do to make women want to give birth? Nothing. True, which is why birthrates have fallen. Well - not LITERALLY nothing - there are some benefits available; but nothing that would make having kids financially a better decision than not having kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:36 AM
3

I agree with you entirely that it is not of financial benefit to the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:35 AM

Too reductive. It's not just about pay - governments actively adjust their unemployment benefit and monetary policies to keep people working. The government has an interest in keeping people at work, so they implement policies to make it happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:33 AM

Perhaps, but there is a benefit to society. This is literally no different from saying There is no benefit to working. It's true that slacking off is more fun (which is why I have chosen a relatively easy-going line of work) - but for society to continue to exist, people can't just sit it out.

Think to themselves: If I was not sexually attracted to this girl would I still like her? Honestly, the answer is no like 99.99% of the time. This is probably true, but does it matter? I like larping as a philosopher too, but we are trapped by are instincts. Even many of the most dispassionate like burgers, sugar in their tea, like walking in nature and seeing the animals, and yes like looking at girls getting their tits and arse out because this is natural to man. If sugar tasted sour or salty …

Sex is a trap for weak men who aren't naturally dominant in society and un/less attractive men who can only have transactional sex. I mean, unfortunately, that's a lot of - or even most, men - but it's still a qualification worth making.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 03:09 PM

I think guys in this position are just more likely to be neurotic - both caring themselves, AND caring about the social perception. They've literally had less or no women, so they think there is some cosmic significance into who and what they put their little guy into. Also in yes precisely the village gossip way you hint at, they are worried about running into Chad or just some sleazy guy in the street while walking somewhere with his wife - and realising she had her guts rearranged by that guy…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 01:23 PM

My theory is that a lot of incel takes are a low-T thing. Guys who are by nature cautious, opposed to other than monogamy on absolute principle, etc. feel like need to have rules and standards, because the one woman they can get will reflect what they can get. If they marry the town bicycle, it feels like a humiliation because this not just what they can get, it's ALL they can get. Aggressive, randy men don't have this problem. They can hit promiscuous women, older women, ugly women, etc. and no…

being too interested is strongly unattractive. I'm not sure if this is in fact true. I suspect that Chad can show up with flowers, kiss a woman on the hand, take her out to an expensive restaurant, give her romantic compliments and be railing her that night. It's not being attractive that's unattractive, not being too interested.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that lower class men are more likely to be into manosphere and redpilled than upper middle class men. I don't think this is necessarily true at all. My perception is that the manosphere/redpill is disproportionately middle class guys who were raised feminist/bluepilled and turned against it. Lower class and rural men are more likely to be bluepilled because of church and the fact that their women are less likely to be into being theatrically feminist and progr…

Social skills are also more effected by physical and mental health, general confidence, etc. than a lot of people think. Losing 20 lbs., catching up on your sleep, not feeling like shit about yourself can change how other people react to you about as much as any amount of coaching or experience will.

Yeah maybe but I also picture that guy does his cool I-don't-care vibe and forgets to text back, then five minutes later Chad texts and says (as he has to ten girls that day) You look beautiful today, want to just hang out somewhere quiet? and bangs the shit out of her.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 11:41 PM

Take your time to text her back, don’t invest a lot early, make her earn your attention, don’t tell her where you stand and keep the mystery going. Yeah this is great and all, but when you say this, it doesn't turn you into Chad. In practice, you sound like this guy. When you do this, you'll seem like the meme chud standing in the corner wearing black clothes and a fedora, theatrically looking cold and edgy and imagining he's a bad boy now.

This is silly. Younger women have more breeding years left and get pregnant more easily - this is obvious when you think about it for like five minutes. The miracles of modern science have extended womens' breeding years - but human instinct perhaps hasn't caught up with this. In the distant past, once a woman was much out of her 20s and into early 30s, that's it, no eggs left. For most of human evolution, having an unusual preference for older women drastically reduced your comparative chances …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/26 05:42 AM

That's not the same thing. To dislike the social consequences of ending up in thrall to women and society has nothing directly to do with the biological desire to breed. Both can coexist albeit uneasily.

Most people aren't stupid, and don't permanently tattoo or disfigure themselves - precisely to ensure they will still be able to get normie jobs and stuff. I take your point though - if you become a member of - or associated with - a community full of people who do, you can potentially be a big fish in a small(er) pond.

I don't know how true this is. Great example is veganism - it should be a perfect test case; they literally believe outsiders are complicit in a perpetual holocaust, making them extremely insular in a way that no social groups in the modern world besides say Orthodox Jews are anymore. And yet, the women are stepping out all over the place.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/26 12:08 AM

You're overstating the case, but you're absolutely right that it is a spectrum. You don't even have to observe two different people to know this for a fact - the very same person, (You), may notice people reacting differently to what you say and do depending on how thin or fat you are. How young or old you are. Or even how well-rested you are from night to night. People are that sensitive. Basically yes, it's true that the creepy old short bald awkward fat guy has to be careful about even being …

I've been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of aggressive female sexual interest both online and IRL. It looks basically just like aggressive male sexual behaviour does - leading questions, blunt proposals, invasive bodily contact, the sending of sexual photos and lewd voice messages, masturbation, etc. The provocative truth about this is that it's ultimately an r/pointlesslygendered thing - just that unattractive men are likely to be judged more harshly for it than women are. Even attract…

There is a middle ground of sort-of-sexual-but-sort-of-platonic behaviour that can be used to test the waters. Touching legs and shoulders, eye contact, strong smiles, cheeky-but-not-vulgar jokes. The problem is that all of this can still be considered CREEPY if a woman is really repelled by a man. Which is why some guys just cut the bullshit and ask Wanna fuck? or just get grabby or whatever. Many or even most women will be insulted, but 100% of those who aren't will put out. It's a great strat…

Asking permission isn't sexy though. And there's the problem - not just in online dating, but in real-life as well. It's also worth keeping in mind that women can be lewd too with guys they actually like. Let's face it, being sexual is the most clear way of showing sexual interest. In fact, it's the only unmistakable way to do so - for obvious reasons.

How is this any different than men who won't date because they argue all women are Chadsexual? Both complainers think they aren't the ideal match the other sex wants (young in the case of women, Chad in the case of men).

But they don't like doing it with a condom, just like I said. And yes they are more likely to have sex with Abusechad than with a fat stable old guy - because the same things that men men a risk for being violent (which they don't always like, although some do because women are kinky like that) also make them more likely to fuck hard (which they do like). No, they don't want to be dumped - but the qualities that make a man able to dump a woman and get a new one (as well as get away with dumping …

Brute instinct is a thing. It's why so many men and women too don't want to do it with a condom. More close to the point at hand, it's also why women want to do it with hot guys who are more likely to hit it and quit it more than with slow, stable guys who've let themselves go and are less likely to stray.

I understand what you're saying. I just don't think it's always true. I'm not saying the hackneyed All women are whores who want to be ravaged by a playboy or whatever. But if you think all women who are virgins want to have awkward sex with a virgin because he's a virgin I don't think this is necessarily true. Also again obviously older women who are virgins are actively choosing to be - but there aren't that many of them. Most women who are virgins are going to just inexperienced because they …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 03:53 PM

Most virgin women choose to be that way for a specific reason Obviously in theory this is true especially the older a woman is. But especially if we expand this to girls and women, this is an r/needlesslygendered/ thing. And older virgins are still relatively rare anyway after around 20-21yo despite recent trends, so this older woman guarding her maidenhood that you're imagining is, well, largely imaginary or at least rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:47 PM

But virgin women typically want a man who is a virgin for the same reasons as she because its usually a religious or moral thing for her Virgin women typically haven't had sex yet. That's it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:43 PM

This is peak bluepill - how people respond in practice to this particular desire IN PRACTICE has very little (or even a reverse-correlation) to do with whether the man is equally inexperienced. If a sexually attractive, charged, and (probably) experienced man is into very young women many of whom won't have much or any experience, this is socially much more accepted than a creepy diffident shy guy having the same preference. Because he seems cool and hot and worthy. Normies are that simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:39 PM

It's okay for Chad to want virgin women. Most of the things that guys on this sub complain society isn't okay with are actually things they aren't okay with unattractive or undesirable men being into. (Or rather, it's okay for Chad to be into attractive young women of the age when many of them are still inexperienced, which is as socially acceptable as your OP idea can be in practice.)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:36 PM

Sweaty, women only want Boozetrucker McMagachud as a dirty secret for one night... they want to settle down with someone nice like you could be if you stopped being a misogynist! I guess... this is what we're doing now.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:43 PM

Note that I'm not actually advocating "forcing equal access to sex," but it's quite clear that there is a middle-ground between what we have now and A Handmaid's Tale. What we had within living memory (you choose, but you only choose one) is an obvious example.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:39 PM

You don't need a job. There are all kinds of street people out there living their best lives. They literally get to do what they want all day and haven't heard an alarm clock in decades. I know you're American probably, but maybe this is really an argument for better unemployment benefits, not telling poor Mr. Tophat McMoneybags who he has to hire more of and in what numbers.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:12 PM

Sorry, we were busy talking about you, advocating for the Government to backseat drive "my" "private" company! Don't change the subject.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:07 PM

So once again - to be clear - I don't have the right to hire and associate with only the sort of people I want at my company? It has to be colourful and diverse, because it just does, okay? It's supposedly "my" company, but HM Government gets to decide who gets a job there? That doesn't sound very freedom-y.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:05 PM

I see - so I don't really have freedom of association. Some things are more important than my freedoms, and society says I do actually have to associate with people of classes, hues, and backgrounds I don't necessarily want to, whether I like it or not. Interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:01 PM

It's my company, it's unlisted and I own it in its entirety. Surely you're not some communist or something who tells me what I can and can't do with my private property?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 12:43 PM

Do I have the right to freely choose my employees at my 500-employee company? I like... a certain kind of worker. Only that kind. The wrong kind of employee ruins the vibe and atmosphere. We don't want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 12:37 PM

More accountable Again, these concepts are all very fluid and depend on your perspective. 100 years ago, most men would have thought a woman was lucky to be allowed in a man's world at all, so a few men making passes at her in the office without being fired was the price of entry. Now it's a lawsuit. Whether you think that's fair or not is a matter of opinion.

Forcing women to be sex slaves to incels Who is doing this? Do you live in Afghanistan?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:57 AM

I actually agree with you that because of biology and how human instincts work, it's unlikely that the pendulum will swing back anytime soon - and so you're quite right that lift harder, hustle, and all the usual mix of blue/blackpill advice is the best most men can do for now. I just think that fairness has nothing to do with it - and that you don't believe in nobly and bravely facing the world alone as a matter of principle for everyone, as you've just conceded. If you want to say, Men should …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:26 AM

I won't, no - because you already know what they are. Think about what makes men seem weaker than men of previous generations as a result of what the government and society have done, and you know why men today are less attractive than they used to be. Being weak is unattractive, and men fearing social punishment, unemployment, prison time, etc. for things they wouldn't have historically have had to - and in some cases literally having their tax money used to make women stronger in the financial…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:21 AM

One way to do it is to take political action. Political action is generally accomplished collectively, not individually - by people who work together to shape their environment, and not just be shaped by it (and adapt to it). You've lost me here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:13 AM

So you don't believe in individuals just facing the world on their own and doing whatever it takes to contort themselves to fit it - you believe in taking positive, collective, political action to defend and promote the interests of people like you. If you found yourself in an environment you found unfair, you'd seek to change it - not adapt to it. Thanks for your answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:04 AM

I do agree with this on a personal level. The more difficult part of this, though, is that how women feel about men has a great deal to do with power. That's not very romantic, but it is true. Disempowering men (and this has been done through very crude, specific, reversible actions by government and society, and through how the free market has been allowed to change how people interact in a way that isn't necessarily at all desirable) has made more and more men unattractive to women - and hidin…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:52 AM

Would you still hold to this position (no-one is promised anything, adapt, nobody promised you same conditions as your grandfathermother had) if constitutional changes so drastic were enacted that the whole relationship between the sexes was dramatically changed once again - and in a way that broadly benefited men at the expense of women? Or would you drop the Social Darwinism for civil rights?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:47 AM

The rejoinder to this is that technology has made the game artificially different from how it was at any previous time in history. Physical proximity and accessibility used to put a hard cap on how many women a man could realistically meet. Even kings and emperors of old had to send out squads of men to find particular women they wanted or go on absurd long journeys themselves, there was no swiping. Yes, men of status could slum it in general and seek out willing, rustic women of humbler classes…

Marriage is so much less common now that the taboo on out of wedlock birth is weakening overall. That's it. The judgement has now shifted to the more nebulous question of whether a single mother can give a child a good or at least OK life or not. Perhaps also how catastrophically birthrates overall have fallen are contributing to this more forgiving attitude generally, especially on the far right. the impact of this insecurity isn’t a wide spread misandrist movement calling for wide spread social value changes, revenge fantasies being used as rhetoric and pushes for legislation Sorry, you've lost me. Womens' insecurities have arguably already resulted in all kinds of changes in social values and legislation. It just happened gradually between a hundred and fifty odd years ago and the 1980s. Possibly the revenge fantasies bit too, although that's a more spicy and contentious topic.

This is out of touch. Most women will never agree to overturn the gender roles entirely out of principle. Being offered NOTHING feels unacceptably cheap even when she likes the guy. What happens in real life is that Chad buys her the cheapest drink on the menu and she accepts - usually an Americano if he's feeling generous, a latte that costs a dollar more and then proceeds straight to hot monkey sex while you buy her a three-course meal and get a peck on the cheek rather than frenching less sti…

I honestly think the real problem too many men have now is simply not even being mildly sexual. On dating apps, they do the job interview. In person, they don't even give the moderately flirty compliment. Some guys will say this is what you have to do in the modern world to not seem creepy, but if you literally never do anything non-platonic, you will end up in the friend zone - at best - every time, rather than some or most of the time. /r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 06:08 AM

You're right that it shouldn't be this way. The problem is that the way modern social media and online dating work make it easier than ever before for women to waste mens' time. It's not anything like always true, but because women can be in contact with an infinite number of men at any time, a man who goes out on a nice date on Friday that ends platonically isn't necessarily crazy for wondering if she's getting some that weekend if he doesn't see her again until the next one. Obviously, it was …

I think you're wrong to underestimate the importance of charisma and behaviour. Even from a cynical red/blackpill perspective, it's logical for women to make judgements about a man based on his attitude towards life. While it's possible you could come across as a cool, strong silent lone wolf type, a lot of guys would be well-advised to be honest about how they are likely to come across to women and society. Technically, maybe (statutory by female teachers at middle and high schools), but not really. Women just don't have the same hardware and testosterone levels as men, they're not going to start acting quite like (some) men do for the most part. Women who seek to coerce men into doing what they want them to have always tended towards different methods (mainly social pressure, rather than physical force).

Aging women rightly worry about their man straying, but shouldn't older men worry just as much about being hooked by a woman who likes their money/stability rather than them - regardless how old she is or isn't?

Historically, the civilised compromise in many cultures was that successful men could take new wives, but that they couldn't shake off the old one(s).

Fair, but my point is that they're not less sexual either - just differently sexual.

The books that a lot of women read is more about also having a connection and romance than just fucking. How does that contradict anything I said? Something doesn't have to involve promiscuity or even sexual intercourse itself to be sexual, it just has to be related to coupling. That's my whole point.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 02:56 PM

Womens' sexuality is different from that of men, because women generally are different from men. The fact that it IS different doesn't make it "less sexual." They're still instinctively trying to do things that will lead them to breed and with the right candidate(s), as men do.

Sorry Lilith, I disagree. A minority being excluded or immunised from a rule doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Half of the hierarchical societies in history would have been flung into chaos precisely without this double standard.

Eh? What I'm saying is that the fact that there are privileged people who avoid being punished for breaking rules doesn't mean that the rule doesn't generally exist.

And if her rules are so easily broken, then she doesn’t really have those “rules”. Rules can simultaneously exist for the general public, but also be regarded as general guidelines or suggestions for a more privileged subset of the population. This surely isn't a difficult concept in general to grasp.

No; because men paying for dates is seen as a symbolic thing that can't be reversed entirely without a woman feeling devalued. What for the most part happens instead is more subtle; attractive men get away with paying for somewhat less expensive presents and meals and receive more sexual and other favours earlier in the relationship, women are themselves somewhat more generous in the care and sympathy they offer the man, etc. Attractive men don't get to become the woman in the relationship - the…

I think some guys really are unjustifiably afraid of pretty women. Most pretty women are used to attention, and unless you seem threatening, they treat it as just what happens whenever they leave the house.

No one but you will ever give a single damn about your safety. Somewhat provocatively, though, we could go full patriarchy here, and say that it is in fact the responsibility of any individual woman's menfolk to keep her safe. If a woman ends up suffering consequences as a result of ignoring or defying them, that's not the fault of the government or society, it's the fault of her male relatives for not being enough of a strong a force in her life.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/26 06:21 PM

I think another part of it frankly is that historically when housework was itself a full-time job that couldn't be dispensed with if you wanted a civilised existence, having a woman in your house doing that stuff was a real status symbol. In a world without washing machines, microwaves, nonstick pans, or vacuum cleaners, being a single man unless you were rich meant a rougher and/or a substantially more inconvenient way of living. None of these individual things are that important really, but it…

If attractive men use women as disposable with all that entails simply because they have options I don't think this is inherently inevitable. In a more rustic age, men did not have quite the same motive many currently feel to dispose of women they have used. There was a time when a woman was someone to be possessed; and more men than today would have felt genuine pride in possessing one. He was a steward - a lord and master of a good thing - a thing worth having, and jealously guarding. The mode…

I actually agree that behaviour changes how you're perceived. But behaviour often follows the same things that shape your appearance - getting enough sleep, getting exercise, proper nutrition, lower stress levels overall. Being physically and mentally sound produces attractive social behaviour instinctively (obviously genetic characteristics also influence them). Being healthy and happy (usually) produces what is interpreted as "less creepy" or attractive social behaviour.

The part about this that is both unfortunate and wryly funny is that true, eternal incels and men who have at least on occasion experienced friendliness from women both know that this is true. Once you've ever been on top of your game, had girls do flirty things around you, catch your eye, etc., the denial that being in the world and being around women is different when you're attractive and when you're not just seems completely absurd. Part of the reason for the social rise of hoes is that it's become remarkably easier for women to waste mens' time. Dating apps and social media both make this easier for women to do, and for women to regard any individual man as disposable. Therefore, the fastest way for a man to confirm if a woman is really interested in getting down or just stringing him along is whether she looks like that's what she wants (provocative dress, provocative pose, provocative facial expressions) and whether she …

Seems like you're just saying, OG RP = What I support, NEO RP = Stuff I don't like. In practice, the original Red Pill was club and bar strategies for tricking women into think you were cooler than you were (fuzzy hats, negging), while the new Red Pill (in terms of "content creators") is a lot of politics, getting angry at women over technological changes that will never be reversed, and blackpill ideas that are true but by definition are not actionable.

My impression is that guys will all be bros together or online on subs like this, but IRL when a chick comes along they predictably start trying to flex on each other or in some situations even beating the stuffings out of each other. This is why in the old days, you often weren't allowed to bring women or cute bois aboard naval vessels.

The naiveté here is that chopped, unsuccessful older guys think that women really won't make an exception for old guy Chad. Of course they will - and being women, they won't admit they're doing it. If you're old and handsome, old and athletic, old and rich, old and exceptionally charismatic, you can still date and marry young women. The problem of course is that most old men are few or none of these things - and that's the main reason they're bitching about it. Or they're just genuinely and ador…

Women aren't actually upset by high value men dating young women, though. They're upset by low value men so much as interacting with any women. The fact that you think women are upset by high value men dating young women suggests you pay attention too much to what women say, rather than what they do. Online dating and social media is the culmination of what was gradual and then became drastic change in how people socialise. It is only the capstone of the modern era, but when you look at the broader view, it is very different from what was customary or normal for the vast majority of people who have ever lived. Imagine "dating" in the 18th century. Most people lived in rural areas or small towns. They knew and could only get to know a limited number of people, something firmly restricted by t…

Unfortunately, treating men as more disposable than women comes naturally to both sexes. It can be mitigated, maybe, but it can't be stopped. It's in the genes and instincts. Trying to get people not to feel and think the way they do in this respect is like trying to get people to stop having a sweet tooth or being attracted to warmth or being afraid of snakes and bears. It's just never going to happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:31 AM

Argumentum ad absurdum. Most young women are attractive enough to get a lot of free meals and drinks, for example. And while obviously if they string dudes along too long, they'll get cut off and have to switch up - this kind of treatment is entirely unfamiliar to most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 01:09 PM

I do think that any non-obese, non-hideous young woman is quite sought after without really doing much of anything though - and this isn't true for most men.

OP, what you don't realise is that precisely because almost all women who aren't hideous or obese get to be intensely desired in their youth and as you say can upgrade their appearance with makeup and so on, that's their baseline and therefore not significant or something to feel grateful for. Commenting here because a man. My theory is that the more diffident and effeminate men become, the more women despise and resent them. Their actual reasons for turning against men are the literal opposite of their stated ones. Men have never before in history been less violent, less domineering, less demanding, more willing to give up power to women, allow women to reshape society how they want it, etc. than ever before. And that's the problem. Weak men actually make women feel more insecure and…

Part of it is that so many men will never be wanted by a woman in ANY way that anything that seems like sincere affection or attraction of any kind appears like the Holy Grail. /r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 03:51 AM

There is perhaps no (sexual) benefit to older men being realistic about their level of attractiveness. A man who is physically and generally unattractive - but also diffident and without confidence - is even less attractive than a man who is unattractive, but delusionally confident about it. Not that much less attractive, but still.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 03:46 AM

My theory as to why so many guys think this is true is that women (like men) get less interested in the opposite sex as they get older. If a guy who was not particularly attractive as a young man somewhat gets his shit together and gets ANY attention from women as a result, he may generalise his experience to the whole human race and forget that young guys who ARE attractive get peak attention from women. Something else that happens is that women - like men - are less interested in the opposite …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 01:18 AM

My take on this is that women feel like their resentment of guys chasing younger women is more justified, because no-one can help aging, after all. What they miss though is that while all women get to be young and therefore inherently desirable for around a decade of their life without doing anything except getting their beauty sleep, most dudes never get to be six foot or make six figures.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 12:53 AM

No-one gets inherently more desirable with age, because aging is literally dying slowly. Obviously we can fight it by working out, eating like health nuts, going to bed very early, etc. but you can't stop it, just slow it down. You can also cultivate yourself and have something to show for your time on this earth - this is a cope but the best possible kind.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 11:54 PM

Anyone with a brain will feel bad about aging. I feel bad about aging, because I am aging, and it sucks. The problem with the "age appropriate" meme is that (at the risk of argumentum ad absurdum) is that it's a bit like saying obese people "should" like the obese, the ugly "should" like the ugly, or that handicaps in wheelchairs "should" like their fellows zipping around in wheelchairs. You can perfectly understand why younger people (mostly) prefer each other to older people - and still be mor…

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 11:37 PM

It would be foolish for any woman to assume the men tactfully pretending that older women are just as attractive as younger women are necessarily any more likely to treat her as well as ever as she gets older in practice. Should a lawyer who makes six figures necessarily trust a woman who was kind enough to never tell him she married him for his money not to divorce him if he loses his licence to practice and has to work at Wal-Mart instead? Should a man who had movie-star looks believe his girl…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 11:34 PM

This is also an r/pointlesslygendered thing. Older people are often cynical (or at least cautious) and wary - older women are harder to bed and older men are harder to wed (and in many cases, bed also) for the same reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 11:17 PM

You might be right. I'm just wary of this idea that somehow older people have escaped the dumbing down. A lot of literal boomers and Gen Xers now are Facebook and YouTube addicts, rather than TikTok addicts. A lot of them don't even have the patience for cable television anymore - they watch clips on their feed, rather than sitting through full FOX/GBNews shows or whatever. Many don't actually watch reruns of Dallas and Murder, She Wrote and go out to sit-down restaurants and have charmingly irr…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 11:06 PM

I somewhat disagree with this. Particularly for educated people with an interest in language, literature, history and philosophy, there are any number of topics you can discuss with intelligent women. No offense, but this idea that men and women are from different planets seems like it could be partly a class thing, where you the man watch the footy with the lads and then talk about car engines or something, while the womanfolk discuss cooking techniques, clothes, and how to get their hair done.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 10:54 PM

women are able to stay attracted to their sour jizzed same-age partners Are they, though?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 10:48 PM

To an extent, this IS an r/pointlesslygendered thing. Old guys with no hair, giant bellies and wrinkles and who ruin their mind with career bullshit and who don't have much in the way of redeeming qualities turn off their wives, and end up in dead bedrooms, just as much and often as women aging turns men off. I honestly just don't believe women when they claim to be indifferent or any more generous-minded about aging in their partners than men are.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 10:47 PM

I'm a man around 40, and the idea of dating a 20 year old is decidedly NOT appealing. You're talking about a girl who doesn't have any experience or sophistication, and who is not going to be that interesting to talk to on most topics. On top of that, a 20 year old hasn't gone through the various stages of life that are essential to forming a full adult - going to university, starting a career, etc. This is perhaps a bit condescending and unfair to younger people. Memes about zoomer phone addict…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 10:24 PM

I agree with you that it's silly because young women are most attractive for very obvious reasons. The unfortunate reality, though, is that most older men - just like older women - don't get more attractive with age. Older men also don't get more powerful the way they used to - they're a mob MeToo/sex abuse allegation waiting to happen. When it comes to age gaps, I can see both sides of the argument. Older guys often say that young women are so desired that they are incredibly fussy and demanding and that this gives them incredible power (which is true) and that the idea that May December relationships have a high risk of the woman being used is unfair and prejudiced, but honestly young women ARE enthusiastic, naive, high on life, and I'll just say it... horny. The real reason cold approach keeps happening is because Women do actually like it (sometimes). Chicks can dig it, especially if it seems genuinely flattering. Contrary to the mantra of be cool/negging/you're the prize, if it seems like you're just compelled to talk to her in particular because of how pretty she is, that can be social gold right there. Blushing, smiling, saying you're so pretty I just had to say hello without actually saying it is the ticket.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 11:39 AM

Relationships were more likely to happen in the very distant past because nature took its course. Young men and women did the business, baby arrived, and that was that.

Everything becomes easier to understand when you realise and understand that what women want (safety and control), and what women want down there (to be taken by a powerful, dominant man not under her thumb) are two different things. The more women get of one, the less they have of the other - which is why they can never be satisfied. This is very different from men, who for the most part feel sexier and more manly the more powerful they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 10:56 AM

I think - though - that ironically, the willingness of many men to settle unnerves women. They don't like men settling, even if they also resent men who don't want to settle. They want to be the first choice; even as they resent and accuse men who balk at coming second to Chad (no pun intended) and see doing so as settling and being settled for of being insecure themselves.

Not a woman, so posting here. I think women have conflicting impulses. Men being careful around them makes them feel safer and more in control (and women like safety and power) - but also seems weak and a bit pathetic (which isn't attractive and sexy). This is unfortunate and inconvenient for men, but oh well.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:34 PM

Pretty sure dating app stats have consistently shown that dudes do this and when browsing the human catalogue, they do indeed dramatically prefer to Eat Fresh®. I'll admit I can't remember where I saw it, but it's fairly settled IIRC.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:27 PM

Not being able to trade her in for a younger model doesn't mean no man wants to in an absolute world though, of course. For some women this by itself can be understandably unpleasant even with no follow-through - just as when guys don't like realising a 35 year old Stacey has decided it's time to settle down now because no-one on the football team would commit or whatever the meme is.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:23 PM

The difference to a 30 year old man between a hot 22 year old and a hot 28 year old is minimal. TBH it seems like you're gaslighting women a little - it is a reality that in the dating app age, there are a lot of guys out there setting their dating app range to 18-25 or even 18-21; simply because they feel like since they're not getting that much attention in any case, they might as well aim for the moon anyway (at least at first, before they start settling).
