What exactly does you order say about it? If the order says you get the 5th weekend and it counts Friday then normally the day is yours.

If her mother lives further away, you have 6 months until the new location is consider residency and you become an every other weekend parent if the distance is too great.

Just because she doesn’t want to be with you doesn’t mean she is not going to want to be with someone else someday. That would be even more difficult when she’s bringing another man to the house or get serious and then you have to face all the stuff you’re avoiding now. Running from a storm while it’s coming towards means you will have to suffer longer but running towards the storm means suffering will be not as dragged out and the storm will pass.

I would say first don’t go straight negative because that’s going to put you in the wrong headspace. Figure out your support network and know what you realistically can do with the kids as far as custody. Most states Lena heavy towards 50/50 especially after a divorce. Also, got my parenting schedule where if I don’t show up for an exchange I’m sure my ex will call the cops thinking she can get me in trouble. It’s about setting up plans and also now thinking about the worse. For example, I don’t know why I have a fear of slipping getting out…

Just wanted to add anything you agree to or get puts in the order may not be so easy to change later without a significant change in circumstance for the kids. If there’s no real reason for you not to have overnights I wouldn’t agree to that. At some point they will have to adjust but if you try later then she can use the argument of the kids are doing fine without overnight or status quo. Address things like split medical cost, rotating holidays, summer time and schedule, and access to school a…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
