I dont understand how feminism is blocking you from changing the law. But even if it was the case, wouldnt feminism block you to make it mandatory to have a paternity test? I don't know man, we just have rights in europe. Pressure your political candidates with questions regarding these issues. You have normal system in many of the states I don't see why you can't do the same in other states as well. I'm watching this from a European perspective. I made the comment 3 hours ago, before I knew that on the land of the free you have down right stupid laws that literally take away your freedom. You should go and fix those laws not invent new shit where you have to reorganize a bunch of things because the amount of labwork that those tests would need is unimaginable.

And do you still have to pay child support after you prove it’s not your kid? That sounds like a bad law. We should change that instead of putting more weight on the taxpayers. It sounds more reasonable to me since to change one you only have to do some paperwork and to change the other you need to reorganize the whole country’s medical labs and all that.

But signing the birth certificate doesn’t mean anything if you have a negative paternity test. And you need to wait for a paternity test for weeks. And I’d assume that the majority of faters are the real faters so again, this would not only overwhelm the labs but it would put unnecessary costs on the taxpayers. If you have doubts that it’s not your kid sign the certificate, take the test when the mom is not in the room, wait a week or so and you got your answer.

You can just buy sterile cotton swabs, take dna from your baby’s saliva and yours and bring it into the lab. You cannot be sued for this. The peace of mind paternity test is not 100% accurate but accurate enough to win a case in court or have the court order the mother to allow to a more specific paternity test.
