not interested/he’s socially inept/says something inappropriate/escalated way too quickly How about if a guy gets a bit blushy? I was talking to a coworker at the end of work yesterday (non-romantically just shooting the shit) and one of the first things she said was "Yeah I can't want to get home, take my shoes off, relax and walk around in my top". I felt myself blush a bit after that last bit but after that the conversation went fine.

I'm a 23 year old warehouse worker. I don't want to visit the parents of a CEO and have them look down their noses at me, also our life experiences will probably be radically different which is something that can cause problems down the road.

This was me the first time I went out with a girl, the cringe still keeps me up at night. Currently praying that I'll be able to stop myself from doing this next time.

Like 26%, I'm lard-ish right now and definitely want to lose 20-25lbs, that's when my cheekbones and jaw really shine.

In essence, this phrase means "Don't be a spineless pushover". I had that big eureka moment earlier this year after I turned off a girl by being a clingy doormat, definitely the best thing to happen to me in a while.

Yeah no amount of looks can outweigh the power of poor social skills. A few times in school a girl would literally come up to me and start flirting, but I was so anxious I just stared and nodded until she awkwardly ended the conversation and walked away.

True, I'm by no means 10/10 but the difference in attention with a lean-to-skinny body and a thin face vs muscular with a bloated face is night and day.

Damn I feel like I might become you in 9 years, same height, build and everything, the only girls that hit me up are looking for something casual, never had a gf. Guess at my age though hookups are still the norm.

True, my main fault with women lies with my awkward personality (when I'm in shape that is), I see the light going out in their eyes as soon as we talk for more than 3 minutes. Even when they want to get intimate I somehow say just the right thing to murder the mood lmao.

But then come the guys that are like little devils whispering into the dude's ear with shit like "She says never hooked up outside a relationship...man do you really believe that? You just know she got ran through but she'll never tell you about that." Even if the woman is speaking with 100% honesty.

Speaking as a guy, that's totally reasonable, especially since others have told you that you look even younger than you are.

God this reminds me of my 6th grade introduction day. I was sitting with my Dad in the gym bleachers with hundreds of other parents and kids and when an attractive female teacher came up to the stage he made a comment, something like "Daaamn". And suddenly all eyes were on us. I WANTED TO FUCKING DIE AND DISAPPEAR.

I was on the receiving end of this and it made me remember that "height over face" isn't always the case. I was in line for a festival and I got that feeling that someone was looking at me. I looked over and this chick with some tall guy was checking me out behind his back (smiling, playing with hair, looking multiple times etc.). I'm 6'0 but he was easily 6'4. I didn't want to get my ass kicked that morning so I just ignored her.

you can only level up if you want to play the game Of course, I'm working out now because I got a lot more attention when I was in shape, now that I'm overweight I have no looks to offer. It's all to get back in the game (and improve my health overall ofc). Maybe I'll reach the same conclusion that you hold someday but atm I want to compete.

I understand what you're saying and my answer to that is "Because that's just the way it is." It's tough but what can you do aside from level up?

I only said that because I know there's some extreme 'blackpillers' lurking here in the shadows that believe "6'2 and muscular or it's over little bro". You know, the type that have lost touch with reality.

I went to a small concert once and there was a great punk band playing. After their set ended and the lights came on one of the girls in the crowd walked up to the guitarist and started chatting him up. The guy was pretty skinny and about 5'10. It definitely works still.

So say I'm just minding my own business and I catch a girl looking at me and then she smiles, you think I'd have a chance by walking over and striking up a chat? 'Cause this has happened a few times in my life but anxiety always held me back from approaching.

Keep in mind point 2 in my earlier post Right, on the first date we saw a movie and when she got scared she grabbed my arm, when I put my hand on hers in a 'Don't worry I got you' sort of way, she pulled back a bit, which I respected. But then later we were talking and got so close the sides of our heads were touching, but at that point I didn't know if I should've tried something (not that it matters now). I'll read up on the ladder and pay attention to her body language

A nice guy will avoid physically touching a girl even on their first date. Try to touch her appropriately through out the date and establish a physical connection with your touch. I did this on a first date with a girl last week and thankfully I think she's giving me a second chance. Any tips for when I meet her again? I was thinking of starting small like putting my hand on her back or waist when crossing the street or initiating holding hands. I really like this girl and want to show her that …

If you want a HOT gf your best bet is to have BOTH. Went on my first date with a girl last week and think she's great. I asked her out again and she said yes but it'll be a bit before we meet. Meeting her made me realize I gotta get my ass in gear and be the best I can be. I've started working out, taking better care of my skin, and plan to go buy some better fitting clothes soon. On the off chance this turns into something serious I want to be a guy that she can show off to her friends and fami…
