Of course I was being hyperbolic, it’s not quite so simple and there are ugly women who are a healthy weight however I do believe that male standards for beauty are far more rigid than female beauty standards. If a male has any bad traits I.e. he is short, small framed, balding, he is essentially undateable to most women whereas women’s shortcomings can be made up for with other good traits in my experience at least.
Of course it’s harder for a man, a man has to be tall, wide framed (due to wide straight clavicles, not developed shoulders), with good facial structure (also genetic), not balding (genetics) and men have to be lean and muscular (this is mostly within your control although requires a large time investment). Whereas a women has to be not overweight and have average fat distribution.
