To be fair his wording, and I guess mine in quoting him, was rather poorly put. And yeah even for me the political posts get a bit much at times. He's only on to post something like once or twice a month now, but that tends to be most of his posts/shares. I decided to unfollow him during the 2016 election, because that sure as hell spiked his activity. Refollowed him since, but I'm not looking forward to the spike come the federal election next year. From what I gathered from other messages with him, was that it's more that he's not bothered by people unfriending him over his political posts regardless of how controversial they might be. According to him it's because it tends to show that they're rather closed minded. His replies to even comments that disagree with him have always been friendly and open to hearing their point of view if they wish to share.

Yeah my friend shares a lot about his political views. He's told me before that he doesn't care if a few people unfriend him over them because it means "they weren't true friends."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
