| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here.I can't obviously speak for all men, but for me, if a woman told me at the beginning of a date "just so you know, please don't expect sex at the end of this" I would honor that. The problem I've always ran into is with our society being more "pro-sex", there is a large expectation of sex on the first date, and I find many women don't set boundaries at the very beginning of what to expect, which leads to awkwardness and if a woman seems kinda into you but doesn't want sex on the first date - lead… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 06:06 PM |
| 1 | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here. Here's the problem. When a plain looking woman who doesn't having much going for her in terms of education, career, income, housing status, etc has hundreds of likes/swipes on a dating app, they care less about actually trying to fix a relationship whatsoever. Why bother? Because to them, they have a literal line of men behind them actively looking to date her. This also plants a seed of insecurity. She might ask herself: what if man number #212 is better in bed than my current partner? What if … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:58 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here. The issue with tinder in and of itself is you swipe on people's photos. But people will just start swiping based on looks, and when upwards of 80% of Tinder is comprised of men, your physical looks plays HEAVILY into your chances. In a perfect world, Tinder would adjust the algorithm so the amount of women than men see, and the amount of men that women see would be 50/50, but of course they don't do that. When I did online dating back in 2017 as a man who isn't super attractive, I had entirely w… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:49 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here.I don't particularly like ranking women like that, but there is the big issue I see: A lot of these apps are not 50/50 split by gender with Tinder having upwards of 80% of it's base entirely men. This gives women an unfair advantage right out of the gate. This means a good chunk of men aren't even going to be given the time of day by women. In reality US adults are almost 49/51 split in gender distribution. Women are enthralled with the validation of getting 250 swipes or likes from men, when in… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:42 PM |
| 1 | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here.everyone ranges from middle class to wealthy Ah, there it is, the old heads of the aristocracy wanting to preserve their legacy into future generations, which would also explain the amount of babies when most couples are child-free than ever before. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:28 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here. Are these people overly rich or overly religious? That can explain a LOT. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:23 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here. There's nothing wrong with doing a basic vetting of a person before going on a date. I'm talking about women who put in their tinder bios things like (and I've personally seen these myself) - Must be at least 6'3', no exceptions. - Must have their own home. Now if you're both in your 30's, that's different, but if your early 20's? That's asking a LOT. So now you've potentially passed up a dude who is 6'0 who could of been the perfect partner for you, same as someone only 22 and doesn't own a hom… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:21 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here.when women had to depend on men to survive and provide for them Yet even still today, one of the most common reasons cited for divorce in the US is financial disagreements. Upwards of 70% are divorces are initiated by women as well. Still seems like a lot of dependency going on... | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 05:12 PM |
| 2 | Men are the ones who really settleAgreed. Read some of the posts on relationship advice or am I overreacting. So many people asking questions about their relationship that shows they are highly insecure and are looking for any mild reason to leave. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 04:53 PM |
| – | I've tried helping a few younger guys get dates, something is wrong here.I'm not single. I'm in my 30's and happily in a relationship. Women under 25 are an entire different species compared to the same women I went to school with. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 04:51 PM |
| 6 | Men are the ones who really settleI'm 32 and stopped dating younger women. So many girls 25-29 act like they are still in college and are extremely immature. I also learned the hard way that bipolar and other disorders will become apparent around 24-25 years old. I married a girl when she was 23 and I was 29 and she went from this perfect sweet woman into a she-demon in under a year because she had bipolar and would not seek treatment for it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/25 04:47 PM |
