women not wanting to be raped is not a generalization it is true.

ok, at least its nice to know there is hope for the intelligent ones. :)

yes but I'm the type of person who doesn't want stupid guys walking around acting like they can control me just because i'm a women.

the major problem i have is the misunderstanding goes beyond some poor sob's loos. it effects the women he talks to and his attitude towards women.

but what if a guy reading the advice does not interpret Dominance as that meaning?
/r/seduction23/12/11 12:58 AM
1

than how would the advice "be dominant" help people who aren't? or help pick up chicks?
/r/seduction23/12/11 12:34 AM

than as far as your argument goes your inability to cite the study makes the sore invalid. and, of cores, the study you described proves nothing on how the brain is programmed and even if it did the more likely causation for the specific activation in the brain would be the social mentality and expectations of how women should be around men (a nurtured reaction) not being programmed by evolution.

the point of rape is that it is not (by any stretch)what the victim wants this is possibly the worst example you could give.
/r/seduction22/12/11 11:56 PM

yes but in this context the definition does, in fact, have merit. btw now that your citing sores care to cite your "The male and female parts of the brain are programmed into these dominant and submissive roles" thing?
/r/seduction22/12/11 11:51 PM

yes because words don't mean what they mean.

Do you know what the definition of dominance is?
/r/seduction22/12/11 10:50 PM

My real point is about confidence (which in our very long argument you have not addressed at all)

Your first paragraph kinda hit the nail on the head. Dominance- power and influence over others. My problem is with people using the term dominance is not everyone seems to define it the same. And when giving advice can be a problem. When it comes to initiating interactions there is passive, assertive, and aggressive. Asking someone politely to dance or being the first to Go for a kiss is being ASSERTIVE, but the term Dominance is an aggressive term.

I have said nothing about being submissive. There is more to relations than being dominant or submissive.

Not really my point is that the statement as a whole does not negative connotations.
/r/seduction22/12/11 06:46 PM

Ok, if you had said over others (in an alpha male sense) I would have agreed with you. As a woman, I (and most other women I know) am attracted to CONFIDENT men not those who try to dominate (have power over or control) us. And in my experience those somewhat dominate men who do score can credit that to the woman's attitude of "you wana control me? Ok bring it on"
/r/seduction22/12/11 06:43 PM

grammatically, "not" is negative. but the actual concept of "you're not my type" isn't.
/r/seduction22/12/11 04:26 PM
1

is that really because you didn't listen to women?
/r/seduction22/12/11 04:23 PM

dominant over whom?
/r/seduction22/12/11 04:21 PM

what do you mean by "respond"? cus you can respond negatively
/r/seduction22/12/11 06:10 AM

ok than why are you so critical? the OP is 1 paragraph and kinda normal for reddit posts. it gets across the message i'm trying to convey and my explanation for my thoughts in the most concise meaner available.
/r/seduction22/12/11 03:21 AM

fine. if you wanted a recommendation from a thread that says "from a women's point of view" (i'm assuming you wanted to see a women's recommendation) you shouldn't have taken the first bit of advice that denounces a women's viewpoint as useless.
/r/seduction22/12/11 02:57 AM

That is just pure wrong. i wrought the post i think i know what my intent behind it was. Just go ahead um what does that mean? like in this context?

o ya! XP well, yes but the reason for this was to be a Discussion. if you want recommendations don't click on links that indicate "discuss"

The male and female parts of the brain are programmed into these dominant and submissive roles by hundreds of thousands of years of evolution source?
/r/seduction22/12/11 12:43 AM

Actually, no. Saying "you're not my type" is way better than saying "I wish you were my type." Saying that implies that the girl (if she likes you) could change herself to fit your type; and quite honestly, if you said that, I'd think "WELL, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH GIRLS LIKE ME, ASSHOLE?!". It's better to outright say you're not interested than imply there's some sort of connection.
