She was placed on the sex offenders’ registry for eight years and ordered to perform 150 hours of unpaid community work. Rather than bemoaning that she got away lightly, consider this as fair punishment. Men who get more than this are getting excessive punishment.

Not if PR department fears twitter. Go to topsy.com and amalyze twitter trends for various tim hunt related tags. You will see how people went into frenzy and institutions caved in.

The lies of @connie_stlouis in this BBC clip about Tim Hunt are exposed by this photograph. http://t.co/jAPcV0XnGb http://t.co/aA08CNg23c

I think you should go on twitter and let them know what you think. They need to know what people think about them.

His wife is still in UCL and his 2 daughters are in school. Losing her job too would be tough for them as such senior level folks cannot easily get job somewhere else.

No one was looking to punish her. It was accidentally discovered when DailMailUK columnist tried to verify her credentials due to her suspect action. It may have been that someone alerted him to this but that's fair even them. People in big glass houses should be careful before calling whole neighbourhood as their enemy and plotting to remove a prominent hardworking and honest member from that neighbourhood, isn't it? He carried out his journalistic duty and posted what response he got.

She is receiving and you can do more by going on Twitter. She has two accomplices who may also be asked to clarify. Its a mini mafia gang.

Go on twitter and UCL news page and leave feedback. Search for #TimHunt #Connie_stlouis etc and start showing protest.

Its ignorance mainly but slowly it will improve. Media is no longer supporting her. Only adamant UCL is.

Consider popularizing hashtag #ConnieGate and #ReInstateTimHunt across social media to expose her alongside this link. Help fight of DailyMail, Richard Dawkins and Naseem Nichalos Taleb. cc @uclnews when posting on twitter and give feedback to provost via feedback on Provost’s View: Women in Science

You won't know till the shit hits you. Doing the preventive thing is not foolproof. Lawyers and police will laugh it off saying you are paranoid.

Well, the provost of UCL has given judgement now and its final. He isn't coming back. Check out my other link. It has a google form at end where you can leave your feedback for him.

Accept it that even if not banned, you would not have got fair hearing there. I think you would better go to twitter, search for trend #TimHunt and then try to engage few of them. Irrelevant exercise but try it for fun.

You are kind of missing the point. No one has remained at top by conceding grounds on compassionate basis. Don't leave your post till forced else such farce will continue. Job reservation in India has reached 70% towards so called oppressed classes in some states. Never be soft when emotional appeal is made to relinquish gains made through sweat of hard working folks. Civilization dies because of it since fuzzy logic becomes more prominent than common sense.

I think they are scared now. Folks have started asking for their heads now and they have got a lot to lose as compared to Sir Tim. There are stray news items that UCL will discuss this in their july 9 meeting of board or something equivalent. EC had asked its own representative to create the report, hence they must also be reconsidering. All newspapers have turned supporter of reinstatement call. Tide has definitely turned on these ignorant HR and feminist folks.

This guy is 73 year old serious scientist who has no idea about these new realities. In a way, he stood his ground and simply said I am apologizing if someone got BTFO but stand with my observations. UCL threatened to fire him and being an honorary position, he could not have done much. Also, they may have threatened about his wife's position had he not resigned. He choose honourable exit and exposed them for what they are. BTW, Connie and Deborah (main villain) are academics first and journalis…

This was blown out of proportion exactly because of this. It would have made no notice had it been proper journalists, Connie and Deborah are academic, and a better venue. This was just an informal dinner talk, not even recorded by anyone.
/r/MensRights25/06/15 02:27 AM

That's my takeaway also. Actually, most were not even proper journalists but overzealous professors or lecturers of journalism. See @connie_Louis and @deborahblum on twitter. Their ineptitude has now shown to the world how to handle such mob frenzy. No self respecting journalist from a proper publication would have cared to report this. These clumsy foljs were bumbling since beginning. Proper journalists are now tearing them apart. Their takedowns has indeed been wonderful thing to have happen. …

I think given current push for equality, this is hypocritical. This wanted to highlight business snooping which is done by both sexes but made it look like criminal snooping by creepy men against good looking women.

That's good to get in context. I had never thought of that angle.
