I don't know if that's true, but I also don't think it matters. Generally the perceived and claimed oppression of "underprivileged" groups (women, lgbt community, ethnic minorities) has been at best inflated, at worst entirely fictitious for certain issues. The entire idea that trans men suffering height discrimination is more severe or more impactful than "cis" men suffering from it is already hilarious from a statistical point of view, since it compares a double digit percent of society to a v…

It's not doomerism. It's power. Getting offended over being treated as a subhuman is pointless - you just give them ammo. Ultimately you can speak up about the issue, but making it a personal contention is pointless at best, detrimental at worst. I'm not a big fan of stoicism promoted by influencers and internet sh_tlords, as it promotes enduring abuse - but in this case it's the correct approach.

I’d love to know how they “treat the hatred of children as a fashionable accessory” Might want to look at the childfree subreddit.

I'd be OK with being considered subhuman, I got used to it. What gets me is how they make you responsible for your own oppression. It's such a streamlined loop of shirking any responsibility. It's textbook bootstrap argumentation, and they just don't care, because men's issues are just lip service to feminists. Just enough so that they can claim "feminism helps everyone".

Apart from the general outrage of this, I'd like to point out that the author is not exactly bright... You can't "put someone in cryogenic sleep from 12 to 28", the entire point of cryogenics is that all biological processes are halted. You don't age. All that would be achieved is shifting all male generations 16 years - which, given that they'd have terrible upbringing, and often dead parents, would result in even worse crime rates. Either that, or the author means indefinite cryogenic sleep, s…

Heck I've literally run into people even saying "what about short-shaming in the, uh, gay men dating scene!" I absolutely despise how when there's any acknowledgement of issues affecting men, it's always framed as 'especially affecting gay / trans/ non-binary men'. And then in the next sentence they blame toxic masculinity for it! It's essentially telling someone that they don't quality to be offended at discrimination, because they don't take it up the tailpipe or weren't born with female genit…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
