I'm adopted and the information I have from the adoption agency indicates that my Father never knew my mother was pregnant (They didn't stay together long and my mother never told him). She put me up for adoption in a closed adoption and when I tried to make contact to get information on my father she said she did not want to be in contact with me or see me or talk to me about anything or give me any additional information because she had "moved on with her life". She wouldn't give me any medica…

One of the biggest injustices in situations like this is the dehumanizing of men. Men are solely focused on using and manipulating women for their own sexual gratification, and any sort of emotional attachment is out of the question. It's impossible for a man to love a woman if he wants to have sex with her, I guess.

I think the implication is that the law enforcement would be trying harder if it were a man. I'm not sure if I agree with that or not.. he's lucky they ordered her to pay any child support at all.

Jesus Christ that "notatowniegirl" poster is so horrible. She said men don't need centers, if they quit doing stupid things their problems will be solved. She has to be a troll. I can't imagine with such a lack of empathy for other human beings who are suffering.

This page seems to be the personal page of some troll who hasn't been active in three years. Let's not waste our time on this. Edit: I also reported the page and got a message almost immediately telling me the page wouldn't be removed.

I mean, I can understand the man's point. I think that the post title is misleading here. The environment is sexist, not the test itself. Mostly it's due to the behavior of the men around, which honestly, as fighters for equal rights, we should be fighting against men who are behaving like the men described in this article. According to the professor, these women are being oggled and approached in an inappropriate, sexual, unprofessional manner. I think these women would perform better in the te…

What is so disgusting to me about some of these comments, is how they cite her gender and race as a shield. One of the commenters said tl;dr "How can you afford to fire her? She is black and a woman. Do you have so many black women employed that you can afford to fire Adria?" So her actions are excusable because she's a black woman? She can just get away with acting like an immature troll because someone of her race and gender is not often employed in her field?

I don't have or use Twitter, but I hope some of you will Tweet @ SendGrid and let them know they did the right thing, right now they're getting a LOT of Tweets calling them cowards for caving to a DDOS campaign, or calling them racists/misogynistic or whatever. I think they need some more support from the community. I support the rights of men and women and all races, but her behavior has been toxic, immature, and racist herself. She should not be seen as a martyr

Please don't feed the trolls. I know there are people that legitimately believe this, but most of them keep to SRS. The fact that s/he's arguing with you in PMs shows that you're being trolled, in my opinion.

I have no idea why /r/MRA would be descriminated against but SRS isn't. SRS is a bunch of retarded sarcastic trolling, filled with hate and just having a bad attitude in general. They openly attack people and send out downvote brigades, etc.. /r/MRA sends links to articles, news, information, and promotes discussion. SRS is like Fascism... I fail to see why anyone, even most women, would support their cause due to their attitude. I can understand a lot of the things that upset them, but they go …

I think it's natural to be envious of power. Especially considering most Feminists are dominant personalities, imagine being a dominant strong willed person while largely being universally physically weaker than nearly 50% of the population just because you were born a different gender. I'm not condoning it at all, but I can understand why some of them get this crazy xenonazihatred of men because they're more powerful. I'm stronger than every woman I know physically, and I don't work out. I just…

There will never be a comparable comment to this in /r/feminism or /r/srs. This is why all the shit they say about this community will never hold up. They can disagree with us all day and accuse us of being whatever the hell they want, but this community is rational and we stand for HUMAN rights, not the rights of one specific gender. We care about fairness and justice, not one gender getting special treatment.

I'm not saying it's not valuable and I see your point. I agree with you completely that it is valuable, I just think that this subreddit shouldn't be used as a soap box for women to let themselves be showered in praise for their rational thinking. I'm not if you guys saw the video.. but he was beating them while they were out on the ground with a metal rod. He kept his "defense" going a lot longer than he should have. Of course the women were completely out of line, and I'm glad there wasn't any gender bias, but I think he took it too far.

To be fair, the male himself says that she accidentally kicked him. He then chased her, shoved her down, held a fist over her as I imagine she is cowering on the ground, then two guys come up to try to pacify the situation, and he punches both of them too, and nearly chokes out one of them. When I get picked in the balls on accident, I don't attack three people, two of them who weren't even responsible..

The worst part to me about this story is the end, where it says that all of the therapists they went to would ask the woman if she felt safe without even knowing the circumstances. That's a horrible double standard, and the medical professionals and doctors of this country should be the ones with enough intelligence and education to put aside such preconceived notions as women are the only victims. EDIT: The rest of his TUMBLR is VERY VERY NSFW. It's like creepy porno or something.

There's not just a double standard with gender, but with age too. I'm a nerd and was once playing a game online. Met this chick in the game. I thought I was a wise young man, so I demanded she get on skype and talk on her microphone to prove her gender. She was a girl, sounded very mature, eventually got on skype, she had DDs, didn't have clown make up, I was 18 at the time and she told me she was 20. Of course she says she falls in love with me, wants my cawk n bawlz and all of that. After we h…

Abraham was circumcised as an adult. If he can do it, then so can the rest of the Jews. I personally am circumcised and I'm okay with that, but I know a lot of guys who would prefer to not be and for that reason I'm not going to circumcise my male kids.

It's discrimination similar to how schools in predominately black school districts get less funding than schools in predominantly white school districts, but the teachers at both schools aren't themselves racist. The organization is funded by an entity that does not care about men, but the women there would help out anyone in need that sought help.

They don't refuse to help men when they call in, just all of their advertisements and outreach and brochures and things target women, she says that men almost never call, which is to be expected when all of your brochures have women on them.

It's really not. I know them and they're all super nice. They're just naive. All the information they see is about women. You gotta keep in mind these are 60+ year old women working for a nonprofit in the south eastern united states. They're not exactly the enlightened type.

At the local level they honestly are interested in helping everyone, but all their grants are very specific. For example, when I volunteered today we were passing out flyers to pharmacies about domestic violence (featuring a bruised woman crying) and giving the number for the facility. Another grant might be for cyber bullying, or women battered by men who were alcoholics.

She's a PR specialist, she's not really a domestic violence pro. She's the face of the organization since she goes out and does the radio interviews and TV spots, but she's not actually the boss or the ones who deal with the cases. She only knows the information they give her.

My father has extreme OCD and lots of health issues. He's had rotator cuff surgery three times, surgery on both knees (he used to lift a lot of weights) and triple bypass surgery. My mom has spent countless hours taking care of him. My mother has also made much more money than him. My grandfather passed away after a long battle with dementia and COPD. I was profoundly touched and heartened seeing my grandmother care for him. She spent every hour of every day for nearly three years wiping his ass…

You clearly have a lot of mental issues you need to get sorted out. No one in my family has ever been divorced. I'm sorry that statistics and your own personal experience has jaded you, but you obviously have a lot of pent up rage and social issues. You should see a mental health specialist.

Plenty of people have long happy marriages. My grandparents were married for over 60 years before my grandfather passed away, my parents have been married nearly 40 years. Don't advise him to never get married just because your experience has sucked, and so has his. Not all women are the devil. This subreddit is about advocating against discrimination against men. This man has achieved that ideal. This subreddit is NOT about bashing women as a whole. I've met many great women in my life who I wo…

I don't see what's wrong with marriage, or even "pressuring" someone for marriage. Of course I do whole heartedly agree that saying someone doesn't love you if they pressure you for sex is false, that's ridiculous, but I don't think that marriage is a good analogy. Of course there are financial benefits, I struggle paying my bills and with taxes claiming single and dependent, the financial benefits of marriage appeal to me. I also saw a lot of stuff about "polyamory" in the comments, that's good…

Her first point was in response to me saying that if a woman wants to force a man to pay child support simply because he engaged in consensual sex, then he should have a say in whether or not the child should be aborted or not. Women are not forced to pay child support if they can not afford, so the man should have the option of preventing the child from being born if he would be forced to pay. Of course I don't think the man should be forced to pay, so this is a moot point and is in direct resp…

"Who pays if the man doesn't?" How about the WOMAN. If you're all for equal rights, pay for your own damn baby. If the guy didn't want it and isn't raising it it's not his responsibility if the woman chose to carry it to term, he had no say in the matter.
/r/MensRights30/03/11 11:16 PM

My last response to her was me repeating what she said with literal wording and some elaboration to point out how the situation is skewed in favor of women. If you believe that child support is a fair system and that men aren't taken advantage of then you live in a fantasy world.

A man should be held financially responsible to help raise a child that a woman decides to give birth to (through a dangerous medical procedure) because he had sex with her and she refused to take any forms of post-intercourse contraception or abort it? If a man should be forced to pay then why does he not have any say in regards to abortion? I am using LOGIC not your skewed sense of feminist morality.

I'm going to take everything you say with a grain of salt, judging by your user name, you have an agenda, so I already think everything you say is going to be stupid bullshit, but I'll humor you. If I consented to sex with a girl, and she got pregnant, you believe that she is the only one who should have a say in regards to whether or not she should or shouldn't keep the child.
