Try out for whatever sport you think you'd be best at have fun with it and take every opportunity to get out of the house.

Herniated a disc lifting b/c dd. Physical Therapy is what worked best for me. It's a hard transition going from powerlifting and football to stretching and core strengthening. That being said always ask for exercises you can do on your own at the gym. (for me it was pull-ups but prob not good for your shoulder) Stay away from surgery if possible and always get a second opinion.
