I used to do an exercise just to force myself to get over the approach scare. Just walk up to women on your campus and compliment them. Can be as generic as "just wanted to say you look really nice, goodbye." Or if you wanna try to improv it compliment something specific about them or what their wearing. No intentions beyond that. Im kinda the same and am trying to work on it. Id suggest start doing classes. Bars and Social events seem pointless especially if your not going with people. So make your desired outcome something you enjoy, maybe fitness or self improvement. Myself Im trying to stay in shape and continue trying to self improve so i do hot yoga classes, im signing up for some martial arts, and working on getting a divers license and potentially some improv. As someone who dipped into the whole pua thing temp just to get better at it. The best success rates I got was when I just wanted to get over the fear of approach and no intention of keeping the conversation going unless they tried to themselves. I only had one girl give me a cold shoulder. And that's because from what I gathered afterwords she was probably waiting for her exam and was prob stressed out. Essentially what everyone here is saying. I was going through the same thing. Changed myself and it doesn't happen anymore. Even with my old group of friends they no longer do it.

I agree with all of this except the reading a book part. There are some books that are so valuable to picking up. Just not the ones that Address pickup directly. A book like the 6 pillars of self-esteem. Edit:books name
