Go to any college campus or younger house party. They’re everywhere
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 05:17 AM

This is such an important callout but it’s too much work to qualify everything so people here will just continue to generalize so they can fight strangers on the internet and hate the world
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 08:13 PM
1

If that’s the intention then it’s still morally wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 07:01 PM
1

How do you entertain women on the side without cheating? Sounds pretty fucked up
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 05:48 PM
1

No. Pros and cons to either gender but I prefer being a man. And after seeing my little sister grow up and some of the other women around me, I think I got the better deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 04:58 PM
20

Yes. One is treating the other person with basic respect and dignity and the other is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/23 04:56 PM
1

None of that is exclusive to loving a man or not
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:00 PM
1

You said women are only attracted to about 1% of men. So it follows that at least 90% of men in relationships aren’t attractive to their wife or girlfriend even in the beginning Anecdotes aren’t evidence and I can show you plenty that go the other way. I suggest you find some actual evidence before letting this alter your worldview
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 06:58 PM
1

Lmao what trash are you reading?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 06:56 PM
1

I’d probably agree with you there as well. However I just think that it’s going to trend in the direction of more equality in income as well as education
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 06:56 PM
7

I think it’s less that they show a bias to women’s preferences and more just the fact that there is an insane male:female ratio on those apps
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 08:21 AM
1

Dude, don’t believe everything you read on the internet. There’s no actual evidence for any of your claims I’m completely open to having my mind change if you’re able to provide some but it seems you’ve formed some twisted view of the world and will only accept whatever fits your confirmation bias
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:50 AM
1

And fathers are more likely to kill young children?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:49 AM
3

Cool. Women still tend to be more educated than their husbands these days
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:48 AM
1

There’s a difference between income hypergamy and education hypergamy. Which is why I made sure to distinguish between the two
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:48 AM

And that has nothing to do with it. To cheat is to at the very least expose your significant other to harm. If you loved them you wouldn’t be doing that shit
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:46 AM
2

What does that have anything to do with whether or not men can love women and vice versa?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:45 AM

So your evidence is a Reddit thread with 30 responses and a blog post? And thus about 90% of women aren’t attracted to their partners and husbands even in the beginning? Dude this is bleak and has no actual basis in reality. You need to get off this subreddit
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:52 AM
2

Based on what? You’re pulling this out of your ass
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:50 AM
1

Can you show me these studies?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:34 AM
1

Still telling her she’s beautiful, making time for her, acts of service, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:26 AM
1

Women tend to be more educated than their husbands these days As women became more education, education hypergamy basically disappeared. I’d predict the same to happen as women start to earn the same on average to men. We already see it trending in this direction with more and more couples with equal pay or the woman out earning her husband Don’t listen to what people say they want, but watch what they actually do
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:22 AM
2

Women can’t love?? Where the fuck are you getting that from?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:15 AM
11

Based on what?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:14 AM

So you actually think that the partners and wives of 90% of men are not attracted to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:39 AM

Lol what? Again, you realize that a small number of men receiving more likes on a dating app with like 8:1 men to women, does not mean that women only find 20% of men attractive, right? Can you show me any actual peer reviewed research that supports your claim?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:38 AM

There’s a difference between causing someone close to you to be upset or hurting someone accidentally. It’s another thing to cheat on someone you supposedly love. I feel the same way about physical abuse of a spouse. Can a man really claim to love his wife if he gives her a black eye every week?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:36 AM

To viscously hurt someone by cheating is not love
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:45 PM

You think this is actual evidence that women only find 20% of men attractive? There’s like 30 actual responses and it’s an anonymous Reddit thread. And it’s not even asking about men. It’s asking about men and women Do you have any actual peer reviewed research for the 20% claim?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:40 PM

Again that does not mean that women only find 20% of men attractive. You understand how that is entirely different, right? Dating apps are not real life
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:28 PM

That’s the opposite of being loyal. And frankly, if you cheat then you don’t really love her
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:14 PM

It’s worked out for me thus far. My gf certainly fits my standards and even preferences so I got lucky there
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:11 PM

That doesn’t mean that women only find 20% of men attractive. That’s the results of algorithmic matching with many men to each single woman Here’s a good simulation: https://youtu.be/x3lypVnJ0HM There doesn’t seem to be any actual peer reviewed evidence of women only finding 20% of men attractive. If you know of some I’d really like to see it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:10 PM

I think mine are pretty high especially for what I’m working with myself Tall, thin, and pretty is the most generalized version
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:51 PM

Oh cool thanks. Yeah weird that it’s not even an actual study but it seems to a cornerstone of red pill thinking. I’d love to see someone try to actually study it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:50 PM

I’m actually interested in the only 20% of men are attractive thing. I’ve never seen any peer reviewed evidence of this but it keeps getting thrown around a lot. Where is it from?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:23 PM

You can change your mind but you can’t reasonable expect the other person to change to whatever new standard you’ve decided on. In those cases you must communicate and then gtfo of the relationship if necessary
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:19 PM

Sure but there’s certainly a point where it becomes unreasonable to expect the other to change. If you go out with a girl who says she doesn’t believe in monogamy, it’s unreasonable to go along with it and just hope she wakes up one day and changes her mind
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:17 PM

They didn’t though? The only lawsuit I’ve been able to find is two men suing against women-only areas within a gym in the US
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:14 PM

Yeah of course. There’s endless videos of people catching others doing all sorts of stupid things and they will try to justify and blame the victim. That’s a human thing. It doesn’t mean that society at large believes they are justified or right by their actions. And certainly doesn’t mean that cheating is ok
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:27 PM

Got a link?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 05:51 PM

Sorry what? Most of the comments on that post were not shaming the guy. They were calling out the girl for cheating
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 05:37 PM

The reason the more toxic ones become thought leaders is largely due to social media algorithms and humans being humans. They’re purposefully divisive because they know that’s what drives views. I can’t speak to Jordan Peterson about that but plenty of red pill thought leaders are just grifters and no different from crypto or drop shipping influencers. They just want to make money Frankly it’s much more entertaining to watch Andrew Tate screech about how all women are whores than to listen to an…

They require a belief in a supreme being so atheists don’t fall into that. I believe that the continental Freemasons don’t require that any longer though but could be wrong

Yeah for me it was for sure 12 before I even really noticed girls as different besides the usual stuff. Funny how it impacts people so differently
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 12:25 AM

It depends on location. In the US yeah they’re mostly theist, but continental Europe, Brazil, Mexico, etc have more continental branches which allow atheists and women (but again I think it can depend on the lodge). Also even in the Anglo/American version, they have women chapters and lodges and still refer to those women as “Freemasons”. But I still think theres a little tossup on how recognized they are depending on the lodge
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 12:21 AM
1

Again I’ve been to the fucking Freemason’s hall in London which is heavily associated with the Anglo/American version (the “regular” one you keep pointing out) Women are able to join even if it’s separate from the men. They still are considered “Freemasons”. You can see it on the first link from UGLE. I don’t understand how this is going over your head. The op asked if Freemasons are a male-only society. They are not. They may have male-only spaces and women-only spaces but that does not make th…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 11:29 PM

7? That’s super early. I thought most kids don’t developed actual crushes until 11-13ish
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 11:20 PM
1

The response was not if it’s a male only space. Go back up and read it. Again, women can become Freemasons full stop. It may not be the type or the level that they want but it is not an entirely male-only society anymore It’s like jointing a religion. There are male dominated aspects, leadership, and spaces but that doesn’t mean that women still can’t join as members themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 11:16 PM
2

Yeah that’s a bit weird imo. If it’s men’s club then it’s men’s club. There’s a few men’s only sports leagues in my city but they’re really only popular with former college athletes and types like that. The co-ed stuff is much more popular/social

Google it. There’s been multiple

I understand that strains to not allow women. And I’m showing you that some lodges do. The original question was if women could become Freemasons. The answer is yes. Now it may not be the kind you want to be but ultimately they can become Freemasons
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 09:39 PM
1

The place I visited was literally the Freemasons’ Hall and contained multiple photos of “famous women Freemasons through time” So idk what to tell you. They may be separate and it depends on the lodge, but women can still be Freemasons today
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 09:32 PM
1

They are still Freemasons. It depends heavily on the lodge https://freemason.org/female-freemasons/
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 09:25 PM
5

Might depend on the country/chapter. In the UK and many parts of the US they allow women. I visited the main lodge in London on accident a few summers ago https://www.ugle.org.uk/become-freemason/women-freemasons
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 09:07 PM
4

Not really. Just about anyone can join today
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:45 PM

Freemasons are pretty heavily linked to Protestants so makes sense And they used to be. It was a pretty big and powerful club back in the 1700s-1800s Not really a big deal now but still around.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:42 PM

There’s women only gyms. But there’s also a handful of male only gyms as well and they didn’t do very well at all. Men just don’t really want male-only spaces
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:36 PM
7

Pretty sure they opened up to women fairly recently
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:35 PM
8

Men are fully capable of creating male-only spaces. And plenty of them do in fact exist. Sports leagues, certain dive bars, professional clubs, etc. But there simply isn’t the same demand for male-only spaces like there is for women-only Furthermore, the popular/desirable male-only spaces that do exist and succeed tend to be about power and exclusion of other lower status men
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:12 PM

It’s just a way to avoid accountability

I’m more referencing this sort of thinking. “The women you married used to simp for narcissistic men for free” Or that your kids will just automatically not respect you as if you have no control over that as their fucking parent I don’t care if you get married or not

It’s not just testosterone but estradiol for women. And at least in mammals estradiol is much more heavily linked to sex drive than testosterone https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4720522/#:~:text=Both%20estradiol%20and%20testosterone%20have,female%20sexual%20motivation%20and%20behavior.

No it really doesn’t. There’s nothing “traditional” about it
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:20 PM

You have a weird obsession with that. I suggest talking to someone about it because you’re never going to be happy with that sort of outlook and will likely just repel any woman worth their salt
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 05:12 AM

Your whole outlook on life and gender dynamics
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:55 AM

Traditional is a courting arrangement where you get permission from her father and then meet with a chaperone. There’s nothing traditional about paying for a first date
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:42 AM

Paying for a first date isn’t traditional
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:37 AM

Live your life man. I think it’s pathetic, but I hope it works out for you
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:37 AM

If being fat wasn’t a huge privilege, millions of women wouldn’t be engaging in it and when men say that they want a woman who isn’t fat women wouldn’t be doubting it’s possible and sarcastically saying “good luck with that”…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:15 AM

Dude that’s cringey
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:12 AM

That’s a human thing. Not a gendered thing
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 05:31 PM

The funniest person I know is a woman. I think I know more funny men though but most my friends are men so there’s a sampling bias
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 05:29 PM

Nobody deserves to have someone else agree to spend the rest of their life with them. Yes they deserve to be treated as humans and have basic human rights, but beyond that it stops
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 03:44 PM

No I really don’t. To say they deserve it suggests that others should be required to give them connection, joy, and comfort. They deserve to be treated as a human and not be attacked or mistreated unless of course they are attacking or mistreating others
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 03:33 PM

Basic common, everyday courtesy
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 03:31 PM

Gross Also how is the mother even allowed to keep the kid? Should it not be placed for adoption rather than be raised by a literal child rapist?

You can if the men in the 30+ brackets are continuing to date younger women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 02:07 PM

How do you mean surplus of 30yo relationships? And it’s not just 29 yo dating 31. Let’s face it, the chances of someone being in a committed long-term relationship is much higher post college and later twenties. I’m not saying this is the whole reason for the difference, but I’d bet that it had a decent sized impact

I live in SF. Basically the capital of this type of thing Not my crowd by I have a few good friends and coworkers who are heavily involved
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 03:28 AM

I’ve seen so many instances of one partner wanting to be polygamous more than the other, one partner getting jealous, certain partners not getting along, messy breakups etc. Having kids, buying a house, and settling down makes things really difficult and doesn’t really gel with that lifestyle if that’s what you want. It’s also all basically the same tight-knit community so everyone knows everyone even across cities/countries and so the majority of your social life sooner or later is just polygam…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 02:10 AM
1

I’m supportive of friends and coworkers living this lifestyle My secret opinion is that it’s fucking stupid and many are just setting themselves up for stress and heartbreak. Especially the ones bringing kids into the mix
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 01:47 AM

I’m of the opinion that you can’t earn or deserve affection on an aggregate level. It’s completely dependent on another person willing to give it to you. With some there is absolutely nothing you can do to get them to show you affection With others you may not need to do anything But the idea that you have to work to “deserve” affection is false, damaging, and reinforcing unrealistic expectations of “you put in X then you must always get Y back”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 01:42 AM

The fact that they attract more higher-paying customers makes them more valuable
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 12:57 AM

I think it usually only happens when you’re getting to know someone I was seeing a girl who had absolutely gorgeous eyes. Had only been on a couple dates but it was going well. Turns out she wears colored contacts every day. She’s pretty regardless but idk it was just a weird thing to me and I lost interest almost immediately I don’t think it’s necessarily rational
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 10:31 PM
1

I think it’s important to date around and see what you want/need in a partner at that age. That doesn’t mean just hookups, but actually date and get to know different people. If you find somebody you really like then by all means lock it down
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 08:44 PM
1

Kinda?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 08:18 PM
10

Men’s is 73 to women’s 79. I wouldn’t imagine it would have such a massive impact on 30-49 year olds. So what’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 07:12 PM
8

Why would we see an equivalent boomerang? The gap decreases significantly in the next group. You’re going from a 29% difference to a 8% difference. That’s huge
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 07:05 PM
10

It can get complicated though right? Like my assumption is that 27-30 year olds are more likely to be in commuted relationships than 18-25 year olds. So if women are dating just 2-3 years older on average, at 27 that’s going to make a huge impact But I’m just speculating. Just doesn’t seem to make much sense why the difference is so massive for young adults but then starts to even out pretty drastically at 30+

Oh cool. Interesting how women high in dark triad treated rank dark triad traits as most attractive too. I guess like attracts like
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 05:20 AM

Your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 02:48 AM

Is there any evidence that women like ALL dark triad traits? I thought it was just narcissism Men are more attracted to narcissistic women too on average
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 02:16 AM

Yeah that would be fine

What’s the gender distribution in your experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 11:42 PM

And the original definition encompasses that. As does my original point. Creepy isn’t a specific action but rather anything that creates a reaction of fear or unease.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 11:22 PM
1

Where did you get that from?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 11:20 PM
1

You realize you’re contradicting yourself right? If the definition of creepy is unattractive men then by definition women or attractive men are incapable of being creepy. But you agree that’s not true You can’t have any meaningful discussion if you behave in this way and I’m not interested in trying to explain it to you Good luck
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 10:04 PM
10

Ok so I guess your definition isn’t fucking accurate then now is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 10:00 PM
6

Lmao get out of here A woman can’t be creepy then by your definition? A good looking guy can’t be creepy? I’ve had multiple female friends bring up how creepy armie hammer is with all the canabalism stuff. And I’ve certainly met creepy women in my lifetime
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 09:19 PM
5

The definition is literally how it’s used today. You seriously believe creepy just means “anything an unattractive guy does that I don’t like” ??
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 08:06 PM
3

And they just so happen to use it according to the definition
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 08:05 PM
2

Look up the literal definition of creepy and get back to me
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 08:00 PM

Not if it made her life miserable or was unhealthy. But imma be honest, I’m attracted to who I’m attracted to. So at least initially I probably wouldn’t ask my current gf out if she was overweight at all
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 07:58 PM
19

Creepy means that you’re causing an “unpleasant feeling of fear of unease” That’s why it doesn’t necessarily matter what the behavior is but how people react to it A girl stalking my social media doesn’t make me scared to uneasy. But I can understand that some women may feel uneasy with a random guys I’m not saying it’s right, but that’s what it means
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 07:12 PM

I do. We don’t live together but live pretty close in the same city. We were constantly sharing our locations temporarily to meet up in various places that it just became more convenient to always have it turned on

I’m a guy and even I can understand this. Is it really that confusing? His comment was cringey

There’s a problem with unattractive people consistently and considerably overestimating their attractiveness. I don’t know if it’s actually gendered https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/sjop.12631#:~:text=The%20present%20research%20tests%20the,compared%20to%20ratings%20by%20strangers.

The idea that women never lower their standards and men do isn’t likely reality. I disagree with you there
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 06:26 AM
1

Yes and they have full control over the standards they set for themselves as well as their ability to meet the standards of others. What does that have to do with anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 06:17 AM

The vast majority of people marry, have relationships, and have multiple sex partners in their lifetime. I don’t know what fantasy you think you live in but that simply does not track with reality
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 06:12 AM

What does that have to do with anything? You think women cheat because they want to get pregnant by another man?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:35 AM

I mean men are also just much more likely to cheat full stop Some surveys get over 50% men admitting to cheating at least at some point
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:22 AM

College was a bit higher but after I’d say 10%.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:19 AM

I’m of the opinion that if it’s just one date and you didn’t fuck it’s ok to ghost
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:18 AM

Or just maybe it’s because breakups tend to bring out the worst in people

And men still have the option not to approach and can choose not to. Either way, who approaches first has nothing to do with control. That’s the beauty of any honest relationship. Both parties have the same amount of “control” in the situation and are free to leave at any time they choose or even not partake in the first place. You have all the control over yourself just like women have all the control over themselves. To pretend otherwise is avoiding accountability for your own actions and situ…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:06 AM
1

It’s the same prior. Both parties must reciprocate interest even before you get into a relationship By that logic you could argue that women have less control as it’s not socially acceptable for them to express interest first. So they just have to wait and hope the guy they like will make a move Either way it’s a stupid argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 02:15 AM
1

And again, the man must also reciprocate interest. Both parties must continuously choose to be in and remain in a relationship. Whoever asks first is irrelevant You’re using the social expectation for men to approach first as an argument that women must then have more control. That has nothing to do with it and has no bearing on who has more “control”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 01:37 AM
0

Of course that’s a fact. If the guy doesn’t want the girl then there also won’t be one. That’s how relationships fucking work
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 01:25 AM
1

It’s not sunshine and rainbows. But it is pretty amazing. Nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Certainly not at the level where someone who lived there is “the last person who should be telling anyone “good luck”” You should visit sometime. Just stay away from the Tenderloin or SOMA
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 11:45 PM
2

Everyone has the final say. You are able to pick up and leave at any time. Every single day in a relationship is you choosing to stay in that relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 11:41 PM

And I’ve seen companies with cultures that are actively hostile towards women in the tech space. Like sure it’s rare, but it does happen Other one I saw recently was a company that unofficially had a policy to prioritize visa holders over us citizens cause the work culture sucked and visa holders were less likely to quit
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 10:21 PM

Highly dependent on what industry, role, and company
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 10:04 PM

I did therapy for a short period while I was juggling an insane workload and starting to get stretched a bit thin. It really helped me prioritize what I should and strengthen relationships in what little time I could spend on them. I don’t go now as I feel I don’t need it but for the short time it was worth it to me

/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 09:55 PM

I can understand your viewpoint but I disagree with the idea that it is necessarily “woman’s market” Depends which way you look at to, the individual SMV of the individuals involved, and the relative time/situation you wish to compare against
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 09:54 PM

Yeah sure. I’m betting bottom of the barrel men who have absolutely nothing to offer a relationship will have to live like this. Just like bottom of the barrel women may go their whole life without a man expressing genuine interest But this doesn’t mean that most men have standards so egregiously low that they would date and marry 90% of women And if they do then at some point men need to take some accountability
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:59 PM

You don’t think some women also pay hundreds for “the boyfriend experience”? Sure it’s less common but it’s still a thing
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:56 PM

You would date and marry 90% of women? At that point that’s us men for giving women that power. That’s sad You are still choosing to have basically no standards and simp for 90% of women
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:47 PM

You do realize she has to be chosen too, right? Everyone has to be chosen by the person they choose
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:38 PM
33

What do you even mean by control? A woman deciding if she will date you is control? You realize that we men have that exact same choice to make, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:14 PM

I’m a man. And it’s not “if you’re poor you deserve it” It’s simply that you can’t expect anyone to want to be with you unless you provide something of value. Same to fat and bitchy women who expect to pull a Prince Charming. It’s not happening and the sooner you can take accountability for yourself the better
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:49 PM

You’re looking at the wrong thing. Researchers are looking specifically at states who are legalizing no-fault divorce and compared them to states that did not. The difference between the two was a robust decline is female suicide rates than can be directly attributed to the introduction of no-fault divorce. Aggregating like you’ve shown doesn’t account for that difference especially as no fault divorce was passed in different states in different years https://www.nber.org/system/files/working_pa…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:46 PM

What do you mean by “drunk and made the wrong choice?”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 05:26 AM
6

Women’s suicide rates dropped by about 20% in states that adopted no-fault divorce Sounds like 1.0 wasn’t working very well either
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:44 AM

Didn’t she go to multiple places and still came home crying? Either way, your fantasy where women just go out and make instance friends isn’t reality. I’ve seen my younger sister struggle hard with it in college even though she’s great. It’s a pretty normal human struggle
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 04:23 AM

I remember this going viral of a woman attempting exactly that. You’re not going to randomly be adopted into a girl group and many don’t even get hit on
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:49 AM

Many (not all) men who are struggling romantically would rather blame and hate the other gender than take personal accountability

/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 09:57 PM

Wanted. Being needed from a relation isn’t a good thing imo unless it’s expected/reasonable. Like from small children who can’t take care of themselves If the only reason that my gf stays is because she “needs” me rather than “wants” me then I’d rather she just leave

I think there’s something biological as well. Like as men we tend to prefer long hair as a symbol of health and fertility Being tall is usually associated with health and a good diet. So it would make sense that women prefer that
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 04:39 PM

It’s legitimately one of the worst hills to die on. If you’re looking for a relationship, this sort of attitude is not only blatantly incorrect, but you’re shooting yourself in the foot
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:30 PM

Though women tend to score higher in neuroticism than men on average, the difference is pretty small and highly dependent on a bunch of other factors as well (age, race, etc.) There are two facets of neuroticism: withdrawal and volatility. Women tend to score higher on withdrawal but we find no gender difference in volatility when partialed out. It makes sense as women are more likely to be self-conscious and vulnerable, and be diagnosed with anxiety and depression than men are. While the lack o…

Like what city? More than 40% of london’s population is foreign born. Even more isn’t ethnically British but born in the UK I don’t think you know what you’re talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 04:00 AM
1

London is more diverse than most us cities I’m less worried about criminals. They tend to only shoot each other. Im worries about otherwise law abiding citizens getting in an argument and getting trigger happy or even just scared
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:41 AM
1

London has less overall violence than most American cities. And my other point still stands. You also can’t look at just American cities as even with gun laws it becomes incredibly easy to just buy one in another city/county. It’s not a good comparison as a city or even state level policy
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:33 AM
1

Source? London, Tokyo, and other cities with strict gun laws seem to have lower violence You also have the problem of reverse causation. Cities where there already is large amounts of gun violence are more likely to pass laws as a result
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:27 AM
1

Takes much longer without much second thought Think of the amount of road rage incidents that would result in death if everyone had a gun in their vehicles with them
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 02:40 AM
1

There’s a difference between not sharing every thought and feeling and intentionally hiding things to get what you want to the detriment of others If you can’t understand that then idk what to tell you
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 01:09 AM
1

If she would choose not to fuck you if she knew your intention then it’s not consent HIV is not a death sentence. But if that’s too much for you then think of any STD. Either way it’s immoral, cowardly, and pathetic If I caught any of my friends behaving that way I’d cut them out
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:49 AM
1

🙄🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:46 AM

I absolutely do. And I stand by my comparison You’re intentionally preventing people from having key information to avoid a negative outcome for yourself which results in wasting other people’s time and energy
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:29 AM
1

It’s immoral because you’re intentionally creating information asymmetry and thus she cannot give informed consent If you asked a girl out on a date and she knew she was just going to use you for a free dinner and then dip it’s also immoral It’s pathetic
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:26 AM
1

Come on. You know men and women are going to the gym for the exact same reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:20 AM

Only consensual if she knows you plan on ghosting immediately after. Otherwise it’s disingenuous and frankly pathetic
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:18 AM
1

If it’s something you’d expect would impact whether or not a girl would want to date you and there’s already a social expectation to disclose height on apps, then it’s disingenuous to avoid disclosing that information. You’re not being honest to avoid a negative outcome and thus not allowing the person swiping to make an informed decision. I view it in the same vein as using pictures from 5 years ago because you looked better then. You may be helping out your app rating, but you’re also catfishi…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:16 AM

Why do men go to the gym to “looksmax”?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:10 AM
1

And again, I value my time more than getting a higher profile rating on a dating app. It’s disingenuous and frankly a little pathetic
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:07 AM

You’re already handicapped by being sub 6 ft. Might as well be honest about it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:59 PM
4

Or maybe don’t fuck them at all?? Not that hard
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:58 PM

It seems less about the paying and more about the cringey behavior
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:53 PM

I used to be a part of a running club that was 60/40 women to men. The EDM crowd has a huge number of women Rock climbing/surfing is mostly men but you still get a good chunk of women in those environments as well You also meet more guy friends through hobbies and then meet girls through them as well It’s not that difficult
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:51 PM

I have a gf that is a perfect match. I’ve don’t the best I possible could And I’ve avoiding wasting my time and that of girls that care I’m not 6 ft. Win win
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:46 PM

I don’t think that’s true. I’ve done absolutely fine on dating apps with having my height listed
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:43 PM

I heard it through the grapevine later on with two of them Most likely she’s not going to be forward and just decline a second date and give another reason later on. If it’s a dealbreaker, you’re not going o make them change their mind in an hour and youre wasting your time, money, and their time as well
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:42 PM

Then you’re just wasting everyone’s time. Better to just list it and rip off the bandaid
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:16 PM

I disagree. Better to be upfront on height. I’ve been on a few dates that were basically just a waste of time because I wasn’t tall enough for the girl
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:15 PM

Women overwhelmingly are more attracted to kind and generous men
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:42 PM
1

There isn’t any goal posts to shift. Your unable to give any rhyme or reason to your example and continuously cherry pick to fit your world view
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:37 PM
9

I absolutely agree with you there. So many other men on here act like they are being forced to fuck fat and undesirable women. You can say no and to pretend like you can’t is avoiding accountability for your own actions and frankly insulting to men in general imo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:35 PM
2

an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:33 PM
4

All of the above. Again, men and women tend to value different things so naturally dating in you’re league or “level” doesn’t mean a perfect match on all characteristics. Just because you can get an impoverished 9 doesn’t mean a wealthy 9 is in your league. Your league is determined by more factors than just your attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:31 PM

It also allows anyone to get pissed and kill someone really easily Once everyone has guns, the only winner is whoever shoots first. Most of the time it’s the perpetrator
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:00 PM

I’m seeing more and more stories of regular people getting pissed for some small reason and pulling a gun. It’s alarming
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:59 PM

Just because you can get a woman aroused doesn’t mean she necessarily wants to sleep with you. Arousal and actual orgasm are different things for a woman while for a man it’s essentially guaranteed
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:57 PM
1

And I engaged to understand your logic. Sounds like you don’t have any logic to back up your claim and instead cherry pick whatever instances fit your world view
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:53 PM
1

I asked for your logic. You gave an example
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:32 PM
1

You gave an example. Not a definition If your definition is people dating others with a higher SMV then men who date younger women must by hypergamous by your definition because younger women have a higher SMV
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:22 PM
1

So clearly, what is your logic?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:09 PM

You can still interact with people at a bar if you’re not trying to hit on anyone Chat with the bartender, other patrons, just sit and people watch, etc. Also just the energy is better. Business hotel rooms can be sterile, uncomfortable, and depressing Or if you’re visiting a new city you may want to try a new bar and explore a bit There’s a ton of reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:06 PM
1

So every man who is dating a girl with a higher body fat percentage is dating up in that regard Same with men dating women with higher body counts Anything more than the other is dating up according to you
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:05 PM
3

Anyone you are socially connected to. It includes close friends, classmates, family, work friends, gym friends, hobby friends, people you socialize with etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:57 PM

Some people like the ambiance and to explore a new city. Drinking a beer by myself in front of tv alone in a hotel room sounds depressing
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:52 PM

They criticize each other a ton. TERF is mainly used by liberal feminists to insult rad feminists for example
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:49 PM

There are much more straight clubs period so of course. And not all gay clubs are friendly to straight women But the idea that the reason women go to clubs is to get hit on is negated by how popular gay clubs are to straight women as well
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:45 PM
1

Yes it is. So by that standard then if I’m dating a girl with a higher body fat percentage then I’m dating up. Right?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:42 PM

Women in my city (and many others) love gay clubs. And they specifically do in large part because they don’t want to get hit on
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:34 PM
7

If all he can get is an overweight woman then that is his league
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:32 PM
1

So a man dating an old woman is dating up?? Does it apply to body fat percentage too?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:26 PM
1

Why are you bringing money into it? This is just about age. If a 25 year old man is dating a 35 year old woman, is he dating up?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:16 PM

I wonder if it’s socialized to some degree. Society links a woman’s body to sex more than a man’s
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:13 PM

Takes a long time to change social norms. Probably will eventually get to that point though. It’s certainly becoming more common
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:08 PM
1

Good for you for walking away from bad relationships though regardless. If LTR is what you want though I’d say don’t give up and try to filter better in the beginning
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:07 PM
1

You’re at the age where most women around your age aren’t looking for hookups and young women who are open to a FWB are less likely to include 32 in their age range filter on apps or even in person
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:05 PM
7

Approaching women that you already know slightly or know through others or a shared interest Basically approaching somebody through your social circle or are already acquainted with in some way
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:53 PM
1

So by that logic is dating UP dating someone with a higher body fat percentage?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:51 PM
12

Source on that? The vast majority of couples date within the same or very similarly socioeconomic class, race, religion, education level, and yes level of attractiveness from my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:29 PM
26

Your league is what you can get. Men and women value different things so naturally dating in your league or “level” doesn’t mean a perfect match on all characteristics More importantly, study after study shows that unattractive people consistently overrate themselves than more attractive people. If you think you are average and not getting any attention from average women THEN YOU PROBABLY ARENT AVERAGE Ugly people considerably and consistently overrate themselves and so the response “you’re pro…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:26 PM
1

My counter argument is that younger is more valuable. You have the term “dating up” incorrect. It doesn’t mean literally dating up in age but dating someone with a trait that you value or is more desirable Youth is more desirable than age. So to date someone younger is to date up If you had the choice between a young woman and an old woman, which is more desirable?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:21 PM
3

Not in my experience. But I’m sure if you’re bottom of the barrel in attraction and homeless then yeah you’re right
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:19 PM
1

I don’t think you understand where handsome came from. It originated from the old English hand and some, meaning "easy to handle," morphing into “of fair size” by the 1570s and making a quick transition into “good-looking” only a few years later. Until the 20th century, men AND WOMEN were both described as handsome—good-looking, attractive—with regularity, with little difference in meaning And I’m not changing topics. I’m trying to understand your reasoning. If dating someone older is dating up,…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:08 PM
17

It’s called a warm approach And you CAN do all of the above. Nobody is stopping you. You just are unlikely to have success
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:03 PM
1

If I’m dating someone with a higher body fat percentage, am I dating up? Handsome is a synonym for beautiful friend. It just so happens to be gendered but women used to be called handsome all the time in the 1800s-1900s
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:00 PM
1

Handsome and beautiful can be the same thing It doesn’t matter if the age is less. It’s what is more superior like you said. Youth is superior and more sought after than age. So by that logic an old man dating a young woman is dating up. Just because a number is lower doesn’t mean it’s dating down. For example if I’m dating a girl with a lower body fat percentage than me, that doesn’t mean I’m dating down as lower body fat percentages are superior and more desirable
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:49 PM

Nearly half of all tinder users aren’t even single
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:40 PM
1

But beauty if desirable. And can apply to men as well. So if a man is with a more beautiful woman, is he hypergamous?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:38 PM
1

Men can be beautiful. But women on average are more beautiful. So if you are dating a more beautiful woman, you must be dating up
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:30 PM
1

So if a man is dating a woman who is more beautiful than him, is he dating up?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:25 PM
1

You would date someone taller than you? I certainly wouldn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:19 PM
1

But they are both average for their gender? Men on average make slightly more and are taller than women. So he’s an average man and she’s an average girl. How are they not in the same league?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:18 PM
1

I don’t disagree with that. But there’s still competition among women with regards to height
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:17 PM

I had one roommate and 2 acquaintances put holes in walls in college. One of my cousins did the same in high school and my uncle did it once in his home. I don’t think it’s actually that common but it’s happened enough times to become a meme
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:15 PM

So an average woman who is dating an average guy who is also taller and makes more money than her is not hypergamous?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:14 PM
1

I’ve got a friend that’s over 7 ft tall and he’s almost guaranteed to developed heart and lung problems because of it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:12 PM
1

Lmao there absolutely is. Haven’t you seen all the pick-me stuff of girls trying to call attention to how short/small/petite they are compared to others?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:10 PM
1

What is someone’s league?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:09 PM

women and men want different things in a partner on average. If you’re a man who wants a shorter woman. Does dating a shorter woman mean you’re “dating up” because shorter is more desirable?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:00 PM
1

Not anymore. My mom said that short men in Korea used be considered more desirable like a long long time ago but idk if that’s true
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:58 PM
1

It’s for sure a type but they seem to match most of the men also involved pretty nicely Ravers date ravers. Burners date burners, founder date other founders or VC lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:54 PM
0

Sorry my experience doesn’t work with your worldview
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:53 PM
1

My gf is white but you’re right about the raver culture. I personally don’t partake but Asians in SF are disproportionally represented at EDM festivals and raves here I will say be careful about moving to Singapore. My coworker moved to SF from there primarily to find someone to date and is now married to a cool girl in SF. The culture can be pretty stifling and conservative if you’re used to/ want something more western
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:50 PM

42 “bare minimum” matches does not make actual dates or relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:49 PM

Can you link me the actual CDC source then? The one I provided finds it applies equally to both men and women
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:48 PM
6

The apps are legit meant for physical attraction only. It’s basically just pictures and a short bio where everyone just says the same thing. How do you expect women to pick? And it seems they knew exactly what they were passing. An overweight tech guy. They wanted a fit tech guy and once you became that then they were interested. It wasn’t that they didn’t know what they were passing on. It’s that you changed into what they wanted
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 03:41 PM
5

We are the same age, City, and job but Im shorter than you and Asian and I do absolutely fine here dating wise. I think the problem is you
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 03:04 PM

Lmao did you even read your entire source? “It’s also entirely likely that the correlation is spurious, the product of certain personal characteristics. For instance, people who suffered childhood sexual abuse are more likely to have extensive sexual histories. Childhood abuse also increases the odds of a problematic marriage.” “Women with 10 or more partners were the most likely to divorce, but this only became true in recent years; Women with 3-9 partners were less likely to divorce than women…

Choosing to step away from a relationship is 100% a viable option Choosing to swear off women is about as viable as option as a woman choosing to swear off men. There’s a difference between an Incel and MGTOW
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 02:39 PM
1

More than a lost relationship certainly. Psychological distress, loss of reputation, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 02:36 PM
1

Even so, they are adults and 100% accountable for their own actions It’s insulting to men in general for people to assume we are so weak and needy
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:04 AM
1

Most men have relationships. You always have the choice whether I not to partake in any relationship or to not. To say otherwise is incorrect and avoiding accountability
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:54 AM
13

That and parents not actually parenting
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:15 AM

That’s a fine for a criminal court, right? They should still be able to sue civilly for much more
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:12 AM
1

Does your significant other not compliment you ever?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 03:44 AM

How is that any different? Everyone has the power of a potential relationship in that case
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 03:43 AM
1

Hope she got a lawyer
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:51 AM
16

Yeah and if my gf threw a temper tantrum I would probably break up with her. You’re allowed to have your own boundaries and turn offs. I briefly dated a girl in college who had gorgeous blue eyes. Turned out they were colored contacts. She was pretty either way but for whatever reason it was a complete turnoff and I couldn’t be interested in her anymore. It happens
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:50 AM
1

You seriously think an 8th grader beating up a 4th grader and breaking their arm is always more traumatic than that kid getting raped? I can’t take you seriously
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:06 AM

It’s really not that common. Even historically for the west
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:43 PM

Of course it can be. But that doesn’t mean that rape doesn’t have psychological trauma as well. And rape doesn’t necessarily need to be violent to result in major trauma Do you think a kid who got their arm broken in a school fight would always be more traumatized than a kid who was raped?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:39 PM

How else would you like us to distribute a scarce resource?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:09 PM

I don’t think so generally
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:07 PM

It’s not about you being male. It’s about you making other patrons uncomfortable and thus harming the owners and workers in the bar itself
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:59 PM
3

What’s your source on that one? I haven’t seen that
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:35 PM
3

Seems like men and women get about the same number of marches on average: “Men, on average, reported having matched with 111 and women 124, however approximately half of the participants reported having meet ups with matches, and on average, men met with 1.9 partners, women with 2.2 partners.” But the survey was just students. My bet is they are only really using it for ego stroking rather than to actually go on a date
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:35 PM

Bones heal. The psychological trauma from rape can fuck someone up for life
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:23 PM
2

So obviously many people really want to be here. My mom is an immigrant and a large portion of her extended family has spent thousands of hours and significant resources to try and come over here too There’s no guarantee of anything but immigrants do have a higher fertility rate than native born US citizens
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 03:31 PM
2

Get a seasonal job and then focus on getting an internship at a local company for next summer. You’d be surprised how many people would be happy to help out a high school student who shows drive and interest. And it’s more unique/will stand out more on a college application that just a regular seasonal job
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 02:51 PM
2

And yet people are still risking their lives every day to come here or waiting for years for a visa in their home country
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 02:49 PM
2

I honestly think it’s because any super hot women who would date more average guys is probably a bit crazy in order to do so. Hot girls who are well-adjusted are more likely to date in their league So you end up with a selection bias Just a theory though
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 02:47 PM
8

You’re not friends with anyone that has a different personality than you?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 04:53 AM
8

Hard disagree. Women and men are different sure but not THAT different
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 03:30 AM

Depends on what you want Basically you reap you sow
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 07:56 PM
1

You don’t think people living in poverty shouldn’t have food that tastes good? Like is said, for some people living like that, food can be their only respite Also even that takes preparation. If you’re traveling to and from work or at work itself you won’t be able to do even the little preparation required
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:10 PM
1

Yeah one of my good friends owns a luxury fertility practice in the bay. He has brought up a few times that most of the couples who come in end up doing so because of complications with the man rather than the woman. A bunch of the older guys in our friend group have freezes sperm over it The chances and risks are still pretty low. Chances are you’ll likely be fine if you want to have kids later in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:59 PM
1

There’s a time variable too. There was an interesting Econ paper on it I’ll have to see if I can find it. Basically poor people have both a money and a time constraint. Many are working multiple jobs or just jobs that are much more physically exhausting. Add in kids and the whole day is gone. So many are making choices of food that is 1. Cheap and 2. Super fast and easy to prepare Most of those foods are super processed junk
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:54 PM
1

If I caught one of my friends acting like this I’d cut them out of my life
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:51 PM
2

Which I address. Yes it’s harder but with modern medicine you’re likely fine
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:50 PM
1

My fucking grandma had 3 kids past the age of 35 and they all turned out amazing. Sure it’s harder but generally you’re going to be ok. Especially with modern medicine I agree with the home thing though. Being in a couple tends to help with finances a lot. Particularly when both are working
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:29 PM
1

How do you know that’s how they are rationalizing it? When I’ve seen the opposite? It also doesn’t matter how they rationalize attraction if they still prefer women making less income and in that sense “dating down” on purpose
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 09:03 PM
1

Exactly it disproves that men on average are attracted to women who are more intelligent than them Plenty of surveys on income as well. It seems men on average age attracted to women with good earning potential. But when she makes more than him there are worse outcomes Men on average simply don’t value income like women do
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:42 PM
1

My previous comment was about studies on status and intelligence. You said they were self reported. I showed you a popular one that is not
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:21 PM
1

They aren’t. Here’s one that came to mind. It’s behind a paywall but plenty of articles go through their methodology https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0146167215599749?etoc=
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:22 PM
5

Yeah and some get pissed and start shooting people
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:50 PM

My gf works in finance and it’s not a dealbreaker. It’s pretty great because we now make a similar salary and can travel/have the lifestyle we want together
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:48 PM

He should either way. It’s his wife and if it’s something that would cause her to want to end the relationship, then she should know
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:45 PM
2

Overweight woman who is probably married with 1/2 kids and living fairly modestly in a house in the suburbs
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:38 PM
1

That’s not what many men are claiming online. Plenty of studies exist already showing men often become less attracted to higher status or even more intelligent women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:15 PM
1

And we are talking dating! Not just who you would fuck. Hypergamy itself originally referred to marriage. Meaning women who “marry up”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 01:00 PM
1

Is it? So many simply want to be the provider
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 12:53 PM
3

So you don’t think men prefer shorter or younger women?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:27 AM
3

It has everything to do with the argument. A younger/shorter girl is likely going to have a higher SMV than a taller/older girl So a guy going for a taller/older girl is likely dating down. Not up
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:21 AM
3

Do you prefer a taller or shorter woman? How about younger or older?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:16 AM
3

Sure. I’m just pointing out the large amount of men who claim they would never date a girl making more than them
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 04:45 AM
4

Depends on the guy apparently
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 04:05 AM
6

“Dating down” implies dating someone with a lower SMV. In this case, she has a higher SMV relative to a girl older and who makes more. So you’re dating up
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 02:23 AM
7

I’d prefer a girl who is shorter and younger than me. So in that way I’m “dating up” Plenty of men prefer a girl who makes less than them. In that way they are “dating up” because they are going after things they desire
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 12:07 AM
8

I’m sorry but this is such a silly argument to me. And men say they don’t like promiscuous women but still fuck and marry plenty of women with extensive pasts. So by your logic men really don’t care The exception doesn’t make the rule for either case
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:39 PM
1

I can fathom how they can be in a relationship. I just disagree that it’s a healthy or even accurate rationale to have
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:26 PM

It’s just basic information asymmetry. It’s immoral to withhold information from anyone else in order to get what you want to their detriment. Especially when it comes to dating and relationships imo
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:50 PM
6

Casual sex is easier for women because there is a much larger population of men who want casual sex than women. That’s it
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:26 PM

I’m not a woman so I think it depends. What I can say is from talking to my sister who is early-twenties. She wants a boyfriend. Most guys her age (23) aren’t looking to settle down or be in a committed relationship. (I definitely wasn’t at that age). She goes out with plenty of guys her age or even a tad younger but they sort of filter themselves out when she expresses what she’s looking for. She’s now dating a guy who is 27 and also looking for a relationship. People go for different things ba…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:24 PM

That’s not how anything works. There is such thing as too much of something. I think it’s weird when kids have an overly close relationship with their parents for example Being close with your parents? Fine Needing to speak with a parent every day/refusing to move out of their house? A little weird. Showering with your mother as an adult? Big weird (And yes I knew a girl who would do this) Same with number of past relationships Never dated anyone? Eh that’s a little weird Had a bit of relationsh…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 06:45 PM

Small gap not creepy, medium gap kinda creepy, big gap big creepy It’s not that confusing
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 06:28 PM

Well that doesn’t make any sense because it still is a gap
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 06:27 PM

Lol what?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 05:41 PM

It’s a spectrum though right? Like it’s weird to see a 50 year old with an 20 year old. But I’d think it’s fine for a 30 year old and at 23 year old
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 05:26 PM
2

It’s avoiding accountability and it’s weak. At the end of the day you are responsible for your own actions. No woman is making you act immorally
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 05:24 PM
1

And again, it entirely depends on the situation. Based on what I described I’d say there are some cases where it’s appropriate
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 05:21 PM
3

That’s such a terrible argument. You’re completely absolving men of any personal responsibility
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 04:43 PM

Can you give an example? It’s a pretty human thing to want to avoid accountability
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 04:40 PM
1

I know! There seems to be a massive shortage now that it’s trendy Maybe go ahead and make the appointment and just always make another one when you leave. Only if it’s helpful to you though. I know it’s not for everyone
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:43 PM
1

I’m sorry man. That’s not easy and I hope you’re able to find support I know everyone knocks therapy but I’ve used it during difficult times in my life and it helped. If that’s financially an option for you I’d recommend it
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:22 PM

Powerful men who had harems still had wives vs haram members. In order to maximize their access to beautiful women and also insure their offspring are their own, have good genes from their wife, and are taken care of by a good quality woman (their wife)

She wasn’t originally in school to become a teacher. And her socioeconomic class was also upper-middle in Korea Some cases of severe disability or very long term marriage Say I marry a girl who makes a little more than I do and someone needs to take care of the kids. So I end up giving up my own lucrative career to do so. After 25 years of marriage I’m close to 60 and she divorced me in a no fault divorce. I have no relevant/current skills and have gotten old. In those instances I’d argue that o…

Yeah I think it’s pretty normal to have that feeling time to time even if your life is otherwise pretty great If it’s lasting for many years then you may want to talk to someone
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:08 PM
1

They were in the same socioeconomic class had she stayed in Korea. And again it highly depends on the couple and what is deemed fair by a judge. In some cases lifetime alimony may be appropriate
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:05 PM

The women scoffing at coffee dates are not the women you should be dating It’s not black and white. It’s silly. But frankly, if you think that way, I don’t think you are ready for a relationship at all
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:02 PM
8

Wanting to feel desired by your partner is perfectly reasonable. It’s just this specific thing that seems crazy to me Like say girls had the same standard for how much a man spends on a date. Some first dates are coffee or hikes where I rarely spend anything. Others are drinks or dinner where I spend more. Should a coffee date girl immediately rule out any guy who has taken another girl out to dinner for a first date? If you take a girl out for coffee does that automatically mean you don’t like …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:49 AM
7

Yeah and as a man myself I think that’s a stupid perspective to have. But you’re still allowed to have your preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:39 AM
10

I mean sure. I personally think it’s a silly hill to die on and you may be excluding some really great potential partners but everyone is entitled to have their preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:33 AM

It’s not necessarily bad decisions post divorce but being left in a much worse off position afterwards. My friends mother was from South Korea and married an American man who she met in her country. His work there was up and he convinced her to drop out of her undergrad to move to the US with him. They were married and had 4 children. One of which was autistic and required constant supervision. Her husband wasn’t making much early in his career so she didn’t go to college here and instead stayed…

I don’t know about “can” but both men and women are heavily influenced by societal trends of what is or is not attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 04:38 AM

Alimony is 1. Rare and 2. Rarely lasts forever when it even is awarded. I don’t think alimony is appropriate in the vast majority of cases. But in some it absolutely is and should be available as an option if deemed appropriate and necessary

Women have much worse outcomes in divorce than men https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5992251/
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 03:36 AM
1

I absolutely did. And again it shows my point that many women in those situations are fucked. Even if they are able to scrape by after divorce, it doesn’t change the fact that they have lost those years of potential career progression and are essentially starting over. Based on that I’d say in some cases alimony is reasonable and even fair
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:46 AM
1

No they don’t. They still have the wife and then the chicks on the side. Women’s strategy is also a resource scarcity strategy. The whole BB part is because they depend on men for survival and survival of offspring Men have wife material women because they want good and protected offspring as well Both genders employ duel mating strategies
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:26 AM
1

What do you mean by that?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:14 AM
2

I’m not sure where you live but it seems like children and people living on social programs tend to have pretty terrible life outcomes. I’ve known many women who use social programs and yet are still unable to climb out of poverty. Basically they barely scrape by and their kids grow up with insufficient attention as their mothers are working multiple jobs to support the family. Ultimately, women are much more impacted by divorce in the long run than men. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:11 AM
1

Men’s strategy is biological as well. Even if society were to allow men to have sex with whoever they want, there would likely be a similar outcome. Men placing some women into “wife material” and some into “hookup material”. We see this plenty with men who have the looks/resources to sleep with whoever they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:04 AM
6

Im at the point where I have no pity for those men anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:59 AM
2

So you’re expecting the single mother to be able to afford housing, child care, and other living expenses while working minimum wage and also have the time and energy to go back to school?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:14 AM
2

Depends on the man. I would certainly marry in the current system. If any other man is significantly worried about it I would say they 100% should not get married
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:12 AM
1

Women’s strategy is also based in biology. They are biologically attracted to an “alpha” with the best possible genes, yet will speak out a “beta” provider in order to give the child the best chance of survival. It’s also why women’s mate preference changes when they are ovulating or at different times in their cycle
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:10 AM
2

I plan to marry myself but to a woman who is making at least a set amount and can contribute to household finances. I think most men are doing themselves a major disservice by claiming they don’t care what their partner does or how much they make. But women are much more impacted by divorce financially and in the long term than men. That’s a known fact https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5992251/
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 09:37 PM
2

Which one is more common? Because women are much more likely to be financially worse off after divorce than men. Alimony awards are incredibly rare. The few times I’ve seen it in my personal life have been in circumstances where the receiver absolutely deserved it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 09:03 PM
2

I’d rather live in a world where that wasn’t necessary. It would suck ti have to involve a lawyer in any life decisions between couples Ideally there would be methods already in law that would protect my wife and myself in the event of a divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 09:01 PM
5

It depends though right? Say you asked the wife to stay at home and have kids so you could focus on a demanding job. Then you get divorced. In that case she’s fucked
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 08:44 PM
1

There is such a thing as learning from your mistakes. I don’t fuck with party girls anymore. Learned that lesson in college
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 07:48 PM
2

And I’d argue that some men think out this sort of strategy as well. “I don’t want to fuck up my perfectly good marriage and make my children hate me but I still want to fuck around.” So they sneak around and cheat Plenty of men (and women) employ both short-term and long-term mating strategies (sometimes simultaneously). For women it’s AF/BB and for men it’s wife material vs hookup material
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 07:47 PM
1

Based on what?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 05:10 PM

Male sugar baby: https://youtu.be/ty4eNpFAfPg How does sex work being legal make sugaring not sex work? That doesn’t impact the fact that it’s still sex work

How is that inferior when you yourself prefer those characteristics? Like I want a girl that’s shorter than me. I view shorter girls as superior to ones taller than me. Not inferior
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/23 01:31 AM
3

Much higher rates of divorce in age gap relationships if you’re looking for marriage
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 12:49 PM
2

Idk. I’d prefer if she canceled rather than show up and be bitchy cause she’s in a poor mood Though still super annoying/bad manners to cancel last minute Sorry man
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 07:00 PM

That’s fine. But you’re just making up a new definition for hypergamy
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/23 12:13 PM

This is very true

I don’t think lower socioeconomic status people necessarily have more free time. They usually work about the same and have less disposable income to cover things like a housekeeper that would free up more time outside of work Here is a good visual: https://twitter.com/rubenbmathisen/status/1555281045792112643?s=46&t=6NX3B9GyFK-_sByXlTtbLg

??? If you had 100 girls on OLD trying to go out with you, which one would you pick? The answer is the most attractive one Women behave the same way men would if we were in their position

1. Women are more likely to be more negatively affected by divorce economically in the long run 2. 50% divorce is a myth

Personally no. I’m not interested in marrying someone making significantly less than me. Current gf makes about the same which is great. I’m cool if stuff comes up though and one of us has to temporarily stop working. Life happens and biggest priority should be family imo But we both enjoy a certain lifestyle and wouldn’t want to give that up if we can help it. I think most men should seriously reevaluate what they want in a partner. Too many claim that they don’t care about their future wife’s …

It’s first and foremost pictures. That’s the whole premise. Half the people on their don’t even fill out a bio besides basic shit Have you even used a dating app? Tinder and Raya have no prompts last time I used it. Hinge is the only one I’ve seen that requires some writing but even then it’s essentially a copy and paste. What the fuck do you expect people to swipe on if not physical characteristics. Some of the men on here expect women to be perfect angels. They’re just like us, they swipe base…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 12:07 PM

Exactly this. And even within men and women you’re going to have a wife variance in shear number of opportunities
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 11:33 AM
5

You seriously think you can judge personality off of two little sentences? Let’s be honest. If most men were on a dating app with hundreds of girls trying to get with them, the outcome would just be the same. They’d be more picky and only match with the most attractive options. Dating apps are first and foremost visual above all else
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 07:49 AM
3

First of all, what the hell are you even talking about? Secondly, I’m a man. Majority of us ain’t looking to get married by the end of university. Plus you have a higher likelihood of divorce is you marry young vs if you wait until you’re a bit older. Live your life but if I’m personally incredibly grateful I didn’t marry any of the girls I dated in college
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 07:14 PM

I mean live your life but imo most people are better off waiting for marriage until after college
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 06:50 PM

How the fuck do you expect women to pick in old? It’s literally just pictures. The only thing they’re choosing off of is attractiveness and most old platforms have like 8:1 men to women so of course they are going to be picky
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 05:25 PM

Lmao my goal when I entered university was to get laid and get an internship What guys are looking to settle down in college??
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:23 PM

It really depends on the area. I’m half Asian myself but my gf is white. In super conservative areas it may be a bit harder but in cities I see a large number of Asian man and white woman couples

No plans to be a SAHM. The lifestyle we want will likely require two incomes in at least in the short term. It’s fine to not have that preference. But the vast majority of families in the USA are not single income
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 07:48 PM
5

What are you even talking about? Many couples pool their resources. Especially if the woman is making more or similar. My gf makes around my own salary and pays for plenty. It’s great. If I marry her we will be able to afford a much better lifestyle for ourselves and future family than just what I could offer on my own
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 06:03 PM

I don’t disagree that men seem to be more willing to date lower earning women on average. But even so, the vast majority of people marry within their economic class

Do you think many men would? I make well over six figures and won’t consider marriage with a girl unless she’s making at least 150k. Most people marry within their own social and economic class Also if a woman is dating someone 5 years her senior then I think it’s perfectly reasonable for her to expect him to be making more than she does

So you’re saying women have more discipline and conscientiousness than men on average? And that’s the reason they outperform men in college enrollment and completion? And even so your point is still wrong. College education for women does improve their romantic prospects.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 11:15 AM

I disagree with both of your points. Especially the second. Women with degrees have much more successful marriages than women without https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2015/12/04/education-and-marriage/

Maybe what the original poster said. Men are checking out of the workforce and women are outcompeting The why is much more complicated. I recommend reading Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do about It by Richard Reeves if you’re interested
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 10:41 AM

Eh. I’ve seen plenty of lazy people make it through college. Most high paying jobs require a college degree. It’s just a fact that a college degree leads to better life outcomes on average
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 10:33 AM
10

Even so, college graduates have much better life outcomes included lifetime earnings than those that did not go to college. It’s not was worthless as people think
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 10:28 AM

So by that same logic, men should have to accept women’s infidelity because women can

I did. Chance of divorce is not equal to rate of divorce. You suggest that it is in your analogy with “chance of death” It’s not a baseline number. It’s an aggregate. Those are 100% not the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 09:05 AM

One is definitely the health/good body aspect. But another part is that I want her to enjoy an active lifestyle and activities that someone out of shape may not be able to do My current gf and I go hiking regularly. We like kayaking and paddle boarding and surfing a bit as well. My gf is planning a hiking/camping trip through a cave system in Vietnam. So basically I want someone who is capable of and enjoys doing the above. Also it’s just more fun to go to the gym with your gf sometimes

Source for most first marriages end in divorce?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 08:30 AM
1

I know. My point is your analogy is incorrect That’s your opinion however cohabitating relationships are more likely to break up and report less relationships satisfaction that marriage Finally your likelihood of divorce is highly influenced by other factors including your income, education level, and of course the person you choose to marry. 41% isn’t accurate for myself. But I understand if your lifestyle and choice in partner would result in a much higher rate or divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 08:29 AM
1

You suggest that because 41% of first marriages end in divorce then then there is a 41% chance of divorce. (“41% chance of killing you instantly”) That’s incorrect
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 09:33 PM

No. But I’d still get married when the divorce rate is 41% Also divorce rate != change of divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 09:28 PM

Most first marriages do not end in divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 09:22 PM

And I’d have to disagree but to each their own Most men who say what you say are in unhappy/unsatisfying relationships or just single imo
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 08:12 PM

Don’t most men eventually get married?

My frustration with nepotism stems from having to deal with idiots in jobs/internships they are not qualified for because their parent pulled some strings with the CEO. Met up with a buddy today who was visiting my city. He’s always been a bit of a dork but smart and a good guy. He used to have a difficult time with girls back in our early twenties but a lot of it was because of his style. He dressed like a 14 year old at 23 and just didn’t really give a shit. I think it contributed to him acting a bit awkward in social situations. I don’t think you understand how modern academia works. Those studies are plurals and have been repeatedly replicated and published in incredibly rigorous settings. /r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 01:10 PM

You keep saying shit but are unable to provide evidence When I’ve shown you actual peer reviewed studies your response is to make up a conspiracy theory about feminists pressuring researchers to adjust their results in order to fulfill some agenda to prove that men overestimate their looks. I dislike feminists and even I see that’s crazy You have one of the biggest confirmation biases I’ve seen on this sub. I think we are done here

Kinda fucked that you think men would be able to organize faster because women are so “self absorbed and self serving” First of all the genders aren’t all that different Secondly, men score higher on average in narcissism than women and studies show that women are slightly more collaborative than men on average So if anything research seems to show the opposite The most cringe takes on here are the ones acting like women are some separate species from us
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/23 07:59 PM

None of the links you provided shows women think 80% of women are pretty. Can you link me to that specific claim?? The studies linked used panels of both male and females to rate the others as well as themselves in some cases. The women’s score was much more closely related to what other men and women rate them. The last link I posted lists the same. Women were much more likely to rate themselves similarly to what others had rated them than men who often overinflated. You can see this is table 5…

One girl went to great lengths just to get like a 10% discount on a top when we were shopping together on vacation and it gave me the ick
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 05:39 PM
1

I mean sure but we are talking about self-rating here
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 05:36 PM

8k but only because rent and credit card bills get charged at the same time and I like the peace of mind to having enough in there

Except women rate themselves more accurately than men rate themselves AND women tend to have lower self esteem than men https://www.jstor.org/stable/3033724?origin=crossref https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11252852/ Interestingly, those that are most likely to overinflated their attractiveness is unattractive people. While attractive people are more likely to underestimate their own attractiveness. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/sjop.12631

Sis code?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 03:20 PM
15

You don’t know how social media works
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 01:41 PM
4

I think it depends on how to read it. To say that you enjoy being single likely means he’s not looking for something serious She sounds like a mess of a human but in this specific instance I think she made the right decision to not waste time on the guy. They obviously aren’t looking for the same thing and that’s ok
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 01:05 PM
3

Well it’s neither so idk how to help ya there. And I’m talking about real life. People post stupid shit on social media all the time because it drives engagement Don’t believe everything you see on the internet
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:59 PM
10

So this is interesting because we find that ugly people are much more likely to overrate themselves. So I don’t think that experience was just because she was a woman. In fact, women are better able to accurately rate their own attractiveness than the men
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:55 PM
6

Eh the guy said he wasn’t looking for anything serious right then. There’s nothing wrong with that but I think she made the right decision by telling him she didn’t want to go out again
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:51 PM
1

It entirely depends on so many factors. But I’d say it’s easier to find a “good” job than the other two No
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:49 PM
7

I think there’s a difference between internet people calling themselves a 10 to make a point and what people actually think of themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:36 PM
18

I’ve seen more men in real life overrate themselves than women. However I’m a guy so I’m around more men than women on a day-to-day basis. So take it with a grain of salt Both genders seem pretty delusional when it comes to things like this
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:35 PM

Almost all the people on that table are fairly prominent in the red pill community
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 09:49 AM

I’ve met a fair amount of ugly non-fat chicks. Look at Caroline Ellison https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2022/12/23/ftx-founders-girlfriend-caroline-ellison-tells-court-actions/
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 11:43 PM
12

It doesn’t drain me emotionally to hear her complain. Hell I complain about work stuff all the time. It’s therapeutic It’s a perfectly normal human thing to express dissatisfaction about something in your life. Especially to a close partner I agree there’s a point where complaining becomes too much though. But I’ve never had my gf go anywhere near that threshold
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 10:07 PM
14

She’s expressing dissatisfaction with the expectation that she must wear makeup in order to do her job in some settings I like wearing a suit. I would absolutely hate it if I had to wear a suit every day I go into the office. It’s perfectly reasonable to enjoy wearing a suit for special occasions but disliking an expectation that I must always wear one in a work setting. Does that make sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 08:38 PM
8

I’m sorry but your comment isn’t making much sense to me. Can you try to reword it more clearly?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 08:12 PM

Lmao “spiritually gay” is one of the best things I’ve seen here
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:39 PM
13

There’s no written policy that says she can’t wear a tank top and sweatpants to work either So according to you, it should be totally fine for her to dress like that for a big meeting, right? I don’t understand how this is going over your head
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:20 PM
13

She works in VC. There’s no written policy for any dress and grooming standards, but there is a social/cultural standard for the industry. Most online guides for women’s professional dress include something about light makeup
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:09 PM
29

My gf complains about having to wear makeup. At her job it’s important to look put together and professional and for women that includes wearing some light makeup. When she works from home she usually doesn’t do makeup She also enjoys wearing makeup when we go out and experimenting with all of that. I can see how it’s fun for her with all the different colors and stuff. That kind of makeup she can’t wear to the office Do you see how she can feel all of the above and not be contradictory?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 06:54 PM

When swiping on OLD it is. For having a relationship not so much
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 06:50 PM
3

Idk how you’d expect someone to judge emotional intelligence from OLD. There are fewer women on OLD apps than men. They usually get a ton of potential matches and they have to filter on something. So may as well filter based on what you’re able to on an OLD profile. And that is essentially just physical attraction
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 05:43 PM
1

There’s a guy that works at my company who does this. Very feminine but sports a full beard. It’s certainly a look
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 04:49 PM
2

Nah some Asians have naturally blond hair. But yeah probs would be white then. I don’t really mind if it’s real or not. Just more attracted to blonds
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 03:54 PM

167-180ish
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 03:27 PM

It’s my minimum. Not interested in dating anyone making less in the area I live in and it’s not unheard of for people in my circle to think the same. No shame to anyone who doesn’t have that preference though What kind of metric?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 03:02 PM
1

Min income: 150k min height: 5’6 max height: 5’11 Hair color: blond Age range: 25-30 Body type: thin (don’t have a specific weight number in mind) I don’t really have any specific preferences for anything else you listed
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:36 PM
2

Do you have kids or anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:16 PM
2

Glad to hear it! What would you say has made the biggest difference then?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:08 PM
1

Are you happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:01 PM
3

I low key enjoy shopping with my gf. She gets frustrated picking out stuff and then just let’s me do it. It’s cute when we go on dates and she shows up in a dress that I had picked out Also she gives good advice and when we shop for me as well
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:35 PM
1

It’s not uncommon for people worried about STDs and stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:10 PM

Lmao “I know because I’m mid 20s and have dated a 30 year old”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 08:52 AM
2

Well said
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:05 PM
12

But there still has to be some level of physical attraction. Yeah a 5 can end up being more attractive than a 6 all together, but if she’s not physically attracted to him at all from the beginning he may as well be a 1. No amount of a great personality can make that up
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 06:54 PM
1

How is that like saying peoples actions on dates shouldn’t determine how you view them?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 05:46 PM
1

Lmao that’s cringey man. If a guy views a girl as disposable, wether or not she puts out isn’t going to change that. Fucking on the first date doesn’t automatically make a girl dispensable. Just like waiting until date number 3 or later isn’t going to suddenly make her indispensable
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 05:33 PM
1

How does fucking on the first date suddenly make you dispensable when you otherwise were not?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 05:15 PM
9

Aren’t women like way more likely to be diagnosed with depression because they are more likely to actually see a doctor about it? Guys just keep killing themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:56 PM
6

A bunch of you guys keep getting posted on this twitter
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:55 PM
3

It seems she’s upset because he misrepresented his own intentions as well as just straight up blocking her afterwards without the decency to text her that he wasn’t interested It’s perfectly reasonable to be upset and confused in that sort of situation. But yes she should move on
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:47 PM
1

It’s not that I want to waste my time with them. It’s just that it’s a rude thing to do
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:38 PM
2

I mean I feel a little bad when people block me. Even if it’s just a girl a broke up with or something. It’s just a rude thing to do with no real reason
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:31 PM
2

I feel the same way. It’s crazy how it’s such a point of contention/worry when the majority of girls I’ve interacted with don’t go to clubs anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:23 PM
2

Why is it wrong to sleep with people you don’t have a commitment with? That’s a perfectly fine and normal thing to do He’s still a dick though for just blocking
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:16 PM
3

I don’t understand your point here but if what she said was true the guy is a dick
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:11 PM
3

I mean I’m in my late twenties and I still see guys hitting on girls at parties and at bars and stuff plenty Are you older or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 09:01 AM
1

My gf will def comment and I love that about her
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 09:03 PM
2

Lmao the photo he picked
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 09:01 PM
3

I think more women open the door for me than men
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 09:00 PM

True but I honestly think they make things harder for the rest of us I was meeting one of my female friends once and I saw a guy stop her on the street from a block away and she quickly brushed him off. He was tall but I couldn’t really see what he looked like from a distance. She said that he had tried using a line on her to get her number. When I asked why she didn’t give it she said something like “he was cute but was probably a pick up artist.” I think they only make it more difficult for no…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 05:35 PM

Idk why but they give used-car salesman vibes. Something slimy and untrustworthy about it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 05:24 PM
29

Most girls I know who don’t use dating apps meet people through friends, in the wild (gym, classes, work events), and at parties/bars/music festivals A bunch of my gf’s friends have removed dating apps entirely but I haven’t really talked to them much as to why I met my gf on an app a few years ago, but most of my friends in relationships met their significant others off of apps. I don’t think apps will ever go away but I low key think they’ve hit their peak
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 04:42 PM
3

My gf is absolutely amazing. If I had tried to start a relationship with her based on your suggestion I wouldn’t be in the relationship rn. She would have passed and found someone down for monogamy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 09:26 AM
6

That sounds like a great way to either lose out on a great relationship or blow up an already great relationship with stupid mind games
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 08:30 AM
2

Of course not. Dating is hard and it’s frankly supposed to be. Imo the effort is worth it But there’s a difference between putting in effort and being expected to change every part of yourself in order to conform to a wider range of people. Like I said, I don’t want to live in a world where everyone is forcing themselves to become extroverted for example
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 08:29 PM
2

We don’t. But that doesn’t mean the knee jerk reaction should be that they should change their personality in order to cast a wider net to get a partner. I don’t want to live in a world with a bunch of wannabe extroverts
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 05:23 PM
2

It’s fucked up to tell people they need to change everything about themselves in order to fit in when for many that’s not necessarily the case
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 05:05 PM
1

Not necessarily. But I think we all need to be realistic with what we are working with. If you are a boring, introverted, and uninteresting person who will only settle for people you yourself find interesting and fun to be around, it may be very difficult for you to find a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:42 PM

Careful. Dates that last forever get really boring really fast and can be a great way to kill a spark
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:30 PM
2

What are you even talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:29 PM
1

I think that’s perfectly fine if you feel that way as well
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:26 PM
1

Yeah I think it’s a little fucked up tbh. I think it’s perfectly ok to work on character flaws or just overall becoming a more confident and interesting person though. I also think it’s a complete myth that our personalities don’t change over time on their own though. They absolutely do and can change drastically. I believe that if we aren’t being conscious about who we hang out with, what we do with our time, and what media we consume then our personalities may change for the worse
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:19 PM
6

Thanks I’m very lucky to have her
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 04:15 PM
3

Yeah I think there’s dating advice that works for most people like the stuff my parents gave me. But there’s also some people that just struggle and no amount of the generic dating advice can really help them sadly
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 03:42 PM
1

Absolutely not. I want intelligent kids
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 01:12 PM
35

My mom was pretty adamant that I should stay away from mean girls and taught some basic grooming. When I was in middle school she made me dance with her so I’d know how to ask a girl to dance during the slow songs. It was mortifying but looking back I really appreciate it I was taught just the basics though. Open doors, ask her questions, don’t keep her out too late, be respectful, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 01:07 PM
2

And what would you say that would be?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 09:39 AM
4

I’m not talking about him fucking anyone. Just sharing his sexuality to millions of horny women. Because his wife sexuality isn’t as valuable. She should be able to fuck someone else and then it would be equal based on your logic, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 11:02 PM
3

What happens when you get say Chris Hemsworth?? A hot man that could get just about any woman he wants. His wife is pretty but kinda old and his sexuality is now more valuable than hers is. He also does movies where his shirt is frequently off and plays up his sex appeal. Does that mean his wife should get to fuck anyone she wants so it’s equal?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 10:22 PM
5

Sorry can you rewrite? I have no idea what you are trying to say there And you didn’t answer my question about ugly and hot people
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 10:10 PM
5

Neither are ugly and hot people. So do they have different levels of cheating too? Also why does not being sexually equal translate to different levels of cheating?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 09:48 PM
5

Neither are ugly and hot people. So do they have different levels of cheating too?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 09:46 PM

Well referring to men as “the other way” isn’t grammatically correct so I wanted to clarify to make sure I understood you. In a debate forum it is common practice to make sure you are on the same page in order to have a fruitful discussion and avoid misunderstanding And to answer your question based only on your comment I’d say yes. If men can handle being with one woman as long as their sexual needs are met then it seems they are fine in monogamous relationships. Basically their libido remains …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:27 PM

I don’t need you to patronize me. I’m trying to respond accurately to your question which is why I’m asking you directly what you mean by your statement in order to avoid misunderstanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:08 PM

Based on what you quoted I’m unsure. What do you mean by “the other way?”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:03 PM

If women’s libido tanks in LTR, doesn’t that suggest that women are the ones who need sexual variety?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 05:38 PM
4

Alright. I still think it’s stupid but at least you’re consistent
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 05:36 PM
5

I think this is the best explanation. To equate wearing makeup to objectifying yourself is insane. By that logic going to the gym to tone your body or shaving is a form of self-objectification
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 05:26 PM
6

He’s not fucking anyone though. Just sharing dick pics. So is that equivalent?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 05:18 PM
11

Omg it’s like I’m talking to a wall. But the man is still sharing in this instance. And according to you, her sharing should then be equivalent If he’s sharing dick picks on Grindr does that make a difference? Now he’s opening himself up to sexual advances. By your logic she should then get to fuck whoever she wants and it’s equal because both are sharing
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:58 PM
8

So are you just putting everything into one bucket labeled “sharing”? For example if the man sends nude pictures that’s sharing. So if the girl then “shares” too and fucks another guy, it’s equal?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:12 PM
2

Strongly depends on the age of the child. But I have no idea what age I’d be cool with keeping it. Maybe like 3? And it would be D
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 01:51 PM
1

Once you get to grad level this is pretty common. 50% in a class translates to a B
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 01:45 PM
4

The opportunities are irrelevant. I’ll concede that men and women have different demands. But that has nothing to do with the argument at hand
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 01:39 PM
4

How is that the equivalent? In the scenario he describes it seems the man is aware of the OF
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 01:38 PM
6

I kinda see her side too though. Like my gf puts in a lot of effort even though we are well past the early dating phase. If she stopped doing that i would definitely notice and I think I would be a bit upset too. It would suck to be with someone who essentially is just taking your love for granted now that you're in a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 04:06 AM
12

I'm not talking about nudes. She let him step out when his sexual value was lower. Now that he is successful and she is old and unnatractice and has lower smv, doesn't that mean she should be able to step out too?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:50 AM
7

So say you have a married couple. The wife let's the husband step out a bit because his svm is lower Now 20 years later the wife has hit the wall hard and is no longer attractive. Her husband has kept up with himself and also gotten extremely rich. His smv is know higher than hers. Does this mean that now she should be able to step out on her husband?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:45 AM
10

You're being inconsistent then. So it's not about sexual market value and now it's just about gender?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:41 AM
10

But by your logic it should be the same. Right? The one with less sexual value should get to fuck whoever they want if the one with more sexual value is posting pictures. Right?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:36 AM
10

That shouldn't matter. By your logic the ugly one gets to sleep with whoever they want and its equal according to you, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:32 AM
18

Let's say you have two gay men. One is really hot and one is overweight and unattractive. You're telling me that if the hot one does OF, then the ugly one should have a pass to sleep with other people because he's less sexually desired and that's equal??
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:27 AM
8

Let's say you have two gay men. One is really hot and one is overweight and unattractive. You're telling me that if the hot one does OF, then the ugly one should have a pass to sleep with other people because he's less sexually desired and that's equal??
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:26 AM
10

No. But that has nothing to do with what you're saying
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:22 AM
28

Sorry dude but it doesn't work that way. The only thing comparable to her sharing images of her body is him sharing images of his body The only thing comparable to her fucking another guy is him fucking another girl
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:40 AM
28

Only way this works is if she's fucking other guys. If a girl has only fans, her bf should be within his right to start his own and post all the nudes he wants. It's hypocritical otherwise Now if he wants to sleep with other girls then it's only a double standard if he doesn't allow her to do the same
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:31 AM
8

You get the opposite a lot too though. People like Christ Brown who despite being found guilty of all sorts of shit still have a major presence in their industry
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:29 AM
2

Yes but I don't play many video games as an adult
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 09:07 PM

I'm open to taking my future wife’s last name as long as it's cooler than mine
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 03:30 PM

Socialization. Sorry it was a typo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 02:29 PM
1

Explain to me how specialization makes the distribution of casual sex more equal?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 12:21 AM
1

And the only ways to improve it involve removing bodily autonomy so good luck with that
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 09:29 PM
1

Yep and so has the distribution of casual sex. Never going to be completely equal though so might as well get over it
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 03:35 PM
3

I'm talking more about sex as a service but sure go off
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:26 AM
2

The differences between the extremes within each gender is much larger than the difference in averages between the genders
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 02:51 AM
10

Yeah its basically wealth distribution. It's literally the same as everything else in society
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 12:44 AM
1

No but I think it's much better than I expected
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 12:03 AM

But you still are much more likely to marry someone within your own SES How are you defining it?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 11:15 PM
8

Have they? It seems like more men are able to have casual sex now than in generations before partly due to feminism
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 11:13 PM
31

Never has been and never will be. Its like arguing that money isn't distributed evening among all people. Go ahead and make the argument but it's never going to change and most of the time when people attempt it, it goes very poorly
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 09:33 PM
9

There's always sex workers
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 09:31 PM

Got stats on that? I always thought that you were much more likely to marry within your SES And you're saying they are more likely to get divorced AND are happier in that relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 09:23 PM
1

No. It was a BS statement
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 07:31 PM
1

You asked why
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 07:26 PM

What's sea?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 07:26 PM

Sorry but I'm not following. Can you explain?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 06:51 PM
1

Idk. I've done on road trips with girls I've been seeing and quickly realized we were not compatible at all I think getting married without having spent time alone like that is rolling the dice a bit If you want to wait until marriage, you should be able to wait over a road trip. How horny are you guys? Damn That's one of the weirdest things I've read here
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 02:08 PM
0

I don't really count celebrities as real life but if argue many of those fan girls have a perfect image of those people in their minds that isn't real
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 05:08 AM
2

I think luck is part of it but it also just comes down to the fact that most people aren't compatible with most people and that's ok. You can do every single thing right and most if the time you're just not a good match. There's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with her. It's just life
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 04:57 AM
1

“I think” means its my opinion

Homogenous literally means “of the same or similar kind” dude. Diverse means “showing a great deal of variety”. Those words are contradictory And of course it's my opinion. That's why I said “I think” and “I prefer”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 04:09 AM
1

I prefer to live in places for so homogenous. It's much more fun to be around people with diverse lifestyles, opinions, values, etc. I grew up in a fairly tight knit mostly asian community. Not religious but similar cons still persist
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 03:33 AM

I didn't mention religion so I'm unsure why you're commenting that

/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 02:44 AM

I agree. I don't think it's worth it to live in those communities. But it does result in faster moving relationships and relationships that last longer
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 01:51 AM
1

I think a lot of it has to do with shared values. Makes relationships move faster If you’re going on a first date in a tight-knit homogenous community, you are more likely to share relationship expectations, values, lifestyles, etc. In the regular world you just gotta hope that the person you’re about to meet matches up with you on all that. And finding somebody who does takes a lot of time and effort
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/23 01:24 AM

I’m late twenties
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 08:59 PM

Don’t be talking shit about your significant other to your friends. That’s just bad taste
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 07:59 PM
1

The people I’ve dated as I’ve grown older have always been better than the last. But that’s also because I’ve had those past experiences to figure out what I want and to grow as a person. Waiting will make you miss out on those Also in your 20s you’ll likely have many more experiences on the day to day to meet women and date than you would in your 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 07:57 PM

Not equal but I’d bet it’s pretty correlated. At least in my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 07:53 PM

Hard agree. My gf is gorgeous but like all of us she has better days. Why would I ever comment on that besides still telling her she’s beautiful. It’s like kicking someone when they’re down. And not only that but it’s your partner that you’re supposed to love

You’re talking about the Birkenhead drill. It’s not applied today and was truly an exception back in the day during shipwrecks and disasters. No actual basis in maritime law and only really around in the 19th and 20th centuries “The evacuation of the troop ship HMS Birkenhead in 1852 is widely believed to be the first occasion of women and children being told to board the lifeboats first. The ship was carrying nearly 500 troops and about 26 women and children. After the commanding officer's orde…

I disagree with all of this. Women don’t necessarily expect men to have a better job or make more money. You are much more likely to marry someone if the same background, social class, economic class, education level, religion, etc. than anything else else
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 06:30 PM

What do you mean by “men are better than women”?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 05:33 PM

I don’t think it’s equality to expect either partner to be willing to die to protect the other one
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 04:56 PM

Or being willing to die to protect their main from harm?? Since when did this become a thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 04:43 PM

Nah man I’d take a girl with experience over a virgin any day. Not all men are weirdly obsessed with virginity

Fair enough. I’m speaking primarily about conditions such as autism, adhd, dyslexia, Tourette syndrome, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 04:33 PM
1

What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 03:04 PM

My original comment was referring to the broader set of conditions that would fall under the neurodivergent umbrella. My grammar was off but meant to be that men are much more likely to be diagnosed with a neurodiverse condition
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 02:12 PM
2

Not sure for adhd but this wiki article gives a good overview for the research with autism https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_differences_in_autism Though it’s true that girls are often not diagnosed or diagnosed later in life, research suggests that men are still far more likely to have autism than women

Not entirely a year but some people get seasonal depression and stuff. Thanks for your response and I’d like to clarify Women I know speaking about other men are strictly friends and it’s mostly comments about guys they see in the wild or celebrities. Only very close friends of mine will admit to having fantasized about other men if and when that topics comes up in a group and we’ve all drank a bit. I do agree that bringing that sort of thing up is inappropriate and a red flag to your partner. No matter if it’s a man or a woman doing it though. And I don’t think th…

When I say it I mean women noticing and being interested in other men even while in happy relationships. Humans have a drive to mate. Both men and women. That doesn’t magically go away the second you’re in a relationship. That doesn’t mean that everyone wants to cheat or anything. Just that it’s normal to still notice other attractive people from time to time. It’s a thing both men and women do You’re correct that we don’t see polyandry all the time. But there still existed cultures who had that…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 01:05 AM
2

Ok good for you. Openly sexually fantasizing is a large range my friend. Notice someone is hot and feeling something is normal
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/23 12:58 AM
3

This is seriously so underrated here So many guys talk about not having romantic experience in high school like it’s a death sentence. That’s perfectly fine and fairly normal The real death sentence is failing to ever interact and become good friends with girls during your teen years
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 10:22 PM
8

Where are you getting that? And how does that make most women married to normal men unhappy?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 09:55 PM
1

Probs not as long as you’re not obnoxious about it. One guy in my apartment in college asked out two sister separately with basically the same text just hours apart. (He didn’t know they were sisters and had met them both that day) It spread around the apartment complex pretty fast and wasn’t really a good look for a while but that’s about it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 09:06 PM

Between those two I’d say low body count. Not really interested in having to teach anything and I’d rather she be comfortable with the idea of sex and know that she enjoys it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 09:04 PM
5

It was the opposite at my school. They had strict dress codes but the popular guys would always wear super cropped shirts during game days as a joke and never got dress codes for it I didn’t see it as an issue until my sister complained about it Personally I think we should enforce uniforms
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 09:03 PM

Lol wtf is up with 6? Most women are unhappy with marrying someone normal because they’ve had sex with better men? Based on what?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 08:59 PM

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 08:41 PM

I thought women didn’t want to be approached anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 07:45 PM

And I’m saying that we don’t really know if there’s an evolutionary benefit. The studies involve much more than just scorpions and fish. There may be But again, does it really matter if there’s an evolutionary benefit when we see it happen all the time already? I don’t think you should base truth on weather or not evopsych has an explanation for it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 06:41 PM
2

I’m not an expert on this and I take most evopsych stuff with a grain of salt. But there’s certainly some evidence potential evolutionary benefits of women being polyandrous https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.96.18.10236 https://bmcecolevol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2148-10-20 However either way it doesn’t change the fact that many women today still notice and fantasize about other men even when in happy relationships It’s a pretty normal human thing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 05:37 PM
1

There is a def some celebrities but mostly I’ve seen are just regular people they know in their lives. It’s a normal human thing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 05:18 PM
2

Can you link a study to support this?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:35 PM

Of course it will impact it. But I don’t think girls telling him they personally wouldn’t mind is giving him false hope
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 08:52 AM

I actually know a guy who has one of those bags. He has a gf and seems to be fine. And I know he’s had it since before they met Like I’m sure it’s a turnoff to plenty but I think you’d be surprised what you can get away with if you’re confident about it and treat it as no big deal

They’re lying to you to seem perfect. So many of my female friends have admitted to fantasizing or noticing or being attracted to other men even when happily in a relationship or married. It’s not a gender thing. It’s a human thing

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 01:43 AM

It entirely depends on the length of time. Most of the time id be fine with it though but if she wants to wait like 6 months then I don’t think I’d be interested assuming I’ve just met her

I don’t think it’s true. I’m saying that your premise is false. You started a discussion thread but it was then locked due to your bias. Why do you think that is? Over and over again you suggest that men are seeking dating advice more than women and you are asking why I am telling you that based on the very data you are referencing this is not the case Hope you learned something from this Have a good day :)

You are cherry picking one small query with little traction and assuming that is an indicator of a larger trend of men searching for dating advice more than women I’m saying the entire premise of men searching for advice more than women is incorrect and have showed you several cuts of data to prove it
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 11:11 PM
1

But it does matter in the bigger picture. Which is “are men searching for dating advice more than women?” From this we see that though men may be searching “Mens dating advice” more. They aren’t searching “dating advice for men” more than “dating advice for women” The latter phrases are searched much more frequently So at best your original link just suggests that women may be more likely to use grammatically correct phrases when searching the internet Basically I’m saying you’re cherry picking …

Did you not read my response?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 08:20 PM

Yes. And as you can see from my previous comments, I point that out. And again, when you bring two or more queries together it switches to a comparison “Numbers on the graph don't represent absolute search volume numbers, because the data is normalised and presented on a scale from 0-100, where each point on the graph is divided by the highest point, or 100. The numbers next to the search terms at the top of the graph are sums, or totals.”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 05:42 PM
1

That’s incorrect and is illustrated here: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Mens%20dating%20advice,Womens%20dating%20advice,Men%E2%80%99s%20dating%20advice,Women%E2%80%99s%20dating%20advice&hl=en-US&hl=en-US&hl=en&tz=420&tz=420 Again: Mens isn’t even a word. And even Men’s dating advice is incorrect as well. Hard disagree with this one. I see men and women being delusional at about their dating prospects/value at about the same rate. Though it’s anecdotal so could be wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:49 PM
1

You said “Men’s dating advice” and “Women’s dating advice” not Mens/womens dating advice. Those are two different things and yield different results I think you are misinterpreting the data. You are taking an instance and then assuming it is an overall truth. I’m trying to show you that this is a terrible way to view and make sense of the world as just adjusting your query changes the data drastically and contradicts the “truth” you are attempting to derive from it
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:38 PM
1

There isn’t though? Can you show me the trend report where this is the case? Assuming there is then I would think it has something to do with 1) men are more likely to phrase a question like that into google and call themselves men with a possessive plural. Grammatically this is incorrect. 2) men tend to be the one asking women out on first dates. But looking further this is unlikely as the query “dating advice for women” is slightly more searched compared to “dating advice for men” which contra…

That’s also explained in the article linked. Doesn’t mean nobody searched but that it’s small enough that google can’t display. They don’t. The 100 is based on the one with the highest interest from searches. Remove the “Dating Advice for Women” and you’ll see it’s much more obvious that it changes. The y axis will always be 0-100 Edit: this explains it better than I can if you’d like to take a look https://newsinitiative.withgoogle.com/resources/lessons/google-trends-understanding-the-data/

If you change the phrasing of the query to others that mean roughly the same thing you get very different results That and there are different phrases that are searched much more overall also giving different results Basically it’s a form of cherry picking data Also just generally “mens dating advice” and “womens dating advice” is grammatically incorrect. Even just fixing this gives you widely different results
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 05:37 AM
1

It’s not a numerical value of searches but rather a comparison between the two. So based on that the proportion of searches for “dating advice for men” is minuscule compared to “dating advice for women” over time Doesn’t necessarily mean nobody but it does seem like there are massive spikes in the latter which make the other periods seem tiny by comparison
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 05:32 AM
1

How do you explain this then? https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Dating%20advice%20for%20women,Dating%20advice%20for%20men&hl=en-US&hl=en&tz=420

Adding another comment with this Just switching to “Dating advice for Women” and “Dating Advice for Men” gives you about equal searches. I think your query is heavily flawed Link without your original query: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Dating%20advice%20for%20women,Dating%20advice%20for%20men&hl=en-US&hl=en&tz=420
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 05:15 AM
2

Not sure. It’s probably a bunch of factors. One could be that there is a massive rise in “dating advice” content for men as a break off of Andrew Tate/Manosphere/red pill type content so men may be more likely to query that exact phrase than women who tend not to have content geared toward them with that specific phrase Even then those searches are minuscule compared to the “how to get a partner” type ones
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 05:09 AM
13

I think it’s is highly dependent on what the query is. Just looking at “how to get a boyfriend” vs “how to get a girlfriend” shows different results with the trend lines overlapping and a massive spike for “how to get a boyfriend” a few years ago. “How to get a girlfriend” is a tad more searched this past two years. But both phrases are searched much more than the ones you provided https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Mens%20dating%20advice,Womens%20dating%20advice,How%20t…

I think there very much is a lack of spaces and opportunities where people can grow their social network. If you’re lucky enough to be in a social friend group it’s pretty easy to grow it over time through house parties and events. If you don’t have this you basically have to start from square one. Feels kinda like breaking into a new industry
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 07:17 PM

I’m smart enough not to say that ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 07:14 PM

My gf is naturally blond but still gets highlights and they cost like $300/session and imo it looks the exact same before and after 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 06:27 PM

I am not. How would you even feel that way as I have not given you any aspects for masculinity or femininity? And you didn’t answer my questions It seems you are just poking fun for the sake of it without anything real to offer
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:00 PM
1

It doesn’t matter what my feelings are. Something is either a masculine trait or it is not. Do you not believe in masculinity? Do you have a different definition than the one I provided?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 05:02 AM
1

No. It’s based on weather or not that aspect is associated with a man or a woman. An aspect is either masculine or it is not. It doesn’t matter how I feel about it
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:19 AM
5

Raya is pretty open to regular people now though
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 10:52 PM

I agree that it’s not easy especially when it’s not in your sphere of personal experience. But that’s exactly what empathy is. The ability to relate, sympathize, and see circumstances from someone else’s point of view even when it’s outside your own personal experience. It’s not something thar is easy and some people have a greater ability to empathize than others. Yeah it’s never going to be 100% but you can’t expect that anyway given they haven’t gone through the exact same circumstances.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 08:41 PM
4

That’s exactly why empathy exists. It’s the ability to understand and share feelings with another even when we don’t share the same struggles. For example my friend’s mother died and although I haven’t gone through that experience myself, I can still empathize with how they are feeling and sympathize/react accordingly
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 07:55 PM
1

??? Your sentence makes no sense. Can you rephrase? How did it “come out of [my] rear”?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 07:53 PM
1

No I did not. If you’d like to argue on the definition then go ahead Would you like to propose an alternative?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 04:25 PM
1

No. According to the above definition
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 04:02 PM
1

According to the above definition
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 03:11 PM
1

Probably because like men, they feel it’s the only way to meet someone these days
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 07:41 AM
1

Based on whether or not that aspect is associated with masculinity or femininity according to the above definition
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 06:59 AM
1

Masculinity: “a set of attributes, behaviors, and roles associated with men and boys” Femininity: “a set of attributes, behaviors, and roles associated with women and girls” Aspects meaning the attributes commonly associated with either gender
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 11:39 PM
1

Based on the definitions of masculinity and femininity
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 09:44 PM
4

You’re overthinking it. I’ve bought my gf sex toys a few times over our relationship and it’s done nothing but better our sex life
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 09:30 PM
5

He can replicate it by using the sex toy on her during sex
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 09:29 PM
1

What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 08:13 PM
2

I always thought it was just aspects of masculinity or femininity that become toxic in extremes
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 05:51 PM

Because you are breaking your promise/commitment to her. You are also exposing her to potential harm. Not only will this likely cause major emotional trauma but for many women it is enough to end the marriage. Imo rightly so
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 05:06 AM
2

Graduated college and moved cities. We did long distance for a bit but it was too hard One broke up with me because I wasn’t serious enough and she was probably right And another ended things because basically I wasn’t able or willing to be a good bf
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 03:23 AM
2

I am a pretty average guy. Online dating is trash. But narratives like the one this dude posted are not it. “Women do not see ordinary men as real human beings” and “women are NPCs” and “women are very judgmental, toxic, and selfish” like wtf?? The whole thing reads like you’re describing a separate species like the Orcs in a Lord of the Rings book
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 03:00 AM
1

It’s stuff like this that makes me cringe so hard. Why do you all talk about women like they are some separate species? It’s bizarre
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 02:35 AM
2

It’s not a death sentence like some men here seem to make it out to be. It is also not uncommon for both men and women to graduate high school without any romantic experience. It should not be shamed and it likely won’t have an impact on the rest of your life
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 02:32 AM
1

I was one of those people and I turned out fine. Not having romantic experience in high school is not a big deal. Not having any experience interacting and being friendly with the opposite sex is a much bigger deal imo
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 02:01 AM
1

fight me
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 12:59 AM
4

Sure but it causes feminism as a movement to look really bad. Now late portions of the population view feminism as evil due in part to a minority of crazy and unhinged feminists
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 08:25 PM

Yes
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 07:20 PM
1

And I hard disagree. I love my gf. I would never do anything selfish that would cause her great harm because of that love. Imo it’s not true love of a partner unless you’re willing to give up selfish desires for their well-being. We are just arguing definitions at this point and to “define love” is something we could argue about for a hundred years To equate love of a life partner to love of a food is disingenuous
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 06:50 PM

I’ve only ever seen things like “my date ripped his pants at dinner” or something kinda funny
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 04:26 PM

Hell yes
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 02:53 PM
2

Love of a food and love of a wife are two entirely different things
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 02:49 PM
3

Women who deny this ever happens are stupid Men who think that ALL girls trips are really secretly sex trips are also stupid
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 12:16 AM
2

I would allow her after a certain age with the restriction that the account be private
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 12:14 AM
1

What even is your point here man? You’re all over the place
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 08:37 PM
1

You said “if your life is meaningless because basic social needs aren’t being fulfilled…” If you aren’t fulfilling basic social needs on your own and expecting your partner to solely fulfill those you’re setting yourself up for an unhealthy relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 07:43 PM

It is health wise. But there are other factors in play. I think high cost of living plays a part in people delaying having children
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 04:07 PM
5

Yes. I’m not interested in dating women who don’t make a certain amount. My gf salary is similar to my own and it’s a huge plus
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 04:05 PM
1

Lol what the actual fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 12:58 AM
1

Man N count ~18 3x/week on average but it varies pretty widely depending on environmental factors
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 12:49 AM
0

I’d recommend skiing over snowboarding if you’re interested in picking up a snow sport. Only because a lot of good resorts are ski only so you won’t be left out if your friends take a trip to one of those
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 12:43 AM
2

Solely relying on your partner to fulfill all your social needs is a recipe for an unhealthy and codependent relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 12:27 AM
2

All women?? I know my gf doesn’t think like that. Most of the women that I’ve interacted with don’t think like that either If anyone thinks like that then they are shitty and you shouldn’t go out with them
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:59 PM

Depends on the culture and time period. For example in Mauritania girls are force fed until they become obese because that is considered to be beautiful https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leblouh#:~:text=Leblouh%20(often%20referred%20to%20using,cups%20of%20pure%20animal%20fat.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:58 PM

?? What’s what who thinks?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:53 PM

What?? They have to interest me, carry on a conversation, our personalities have to match, etc. Just because they show up doesn’t guarantee I’d ask them out for a second date You seem to think that if a girl like a guy, she just have to look reasonably pretty and he’ll want to date her
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:49 PM

Even beauty standards have changed drastically over time and by culture
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:32 PM

How do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:30 PM

Then yeah women have some burden of performance. I’ve been on many dates with a girl where convo didn’t flow, I didn’t like how she viewed the world, she didn’t look as pretty as her pictures, etc. I declined to ask her out again or agree to a second date when they asked There is def more burden placed on men to ask, plan and execute a first date though which is annoying I’ll give you that
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:13 PM
1

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:06 PM

What do you mean by burden of performance?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:35 PM

I don’t think the government should be able to force an abortion. I don’t think the woman should get any parental rights And the man can choose to keep or give up the resulting child
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 04:29 PM

Yes. My ex has two of my hoodies that I never got back
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 04:26 PM
3

I’m late twenties. Most attractive women to me rn are probably 25-32
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 04:08 PM
1

How is that approved? Soviet would shame the fuck out of that woman
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 07:46 AM
5

You just said that I wouldn’t be scum for doing the exact same thing. You’re not being consistent here Your obsession with this divorce is bizarre. But I’m over trying to explain it to you. Have a good night
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:24 AM
7

Well for one this is 100% admissible in a US court. And two, what do you think she did wrong then? She wants a divorce from a husband she claims mistreats her and is verbally abusive and provided evidence to her legal team. There is likely a lot more evidence provided but this is the only video that was leaked. We don’t even know if she was the one to leak it herself or if it was a family member, member of her legal team, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 06:15 AM
4

So only if it’s physical? Now let’s say I get a divorce from my wife who mistreats me and is verbally abusive. I happen to have video evidence of her screaming at me from a security camera that she knows about and has access to. Would I be scum to provide that to my lawyer? How about if I wanted dual custody of the kids and I have evidence from the same camera of her screaming and yelling at our children in an abusive manner. Would I be scum if I provided that to my lawyer as an argument for why…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:59 AM
5

I’m not. I’m trying to understand where the line is when giving security camera footage to your lawyer. If it’s sexual assault of a minor is it ok? If it’s verbal abuse then it’s not? What if Crowder had hit her? Is it ok then?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:55 AM
7

She didn’t record him though. He was picked up on a security camera. My friend’s dad actually is about to stand trial for SA a minor. It’s the kid of his gf who was 10 at the time. Guess what? They have a security camera that caught him doing it on one occasion in their backyard hot tub. So is his gf scum for finding and producing the security footage to the police?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:51 AM
7

Yes. Would you stay married to someone who talked to you like that? And I agree. If you are going to treat your significant other like that then you 100% should not be in a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:46 AM

If my wife spoke to me like that I would 100% divorce her. If I had access to video evidence I would turn it over to my lawyer as one does in a divorce proceeding. Not doing so is frankly stupid
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:32 AM

Yeah just go ahead and date other burners. I’m not in the community myself but a lot of my wider circle is and they all are dating around themselves. My one friend is planning on proposing to his gf at burning man this year and they met through mutual burner friends
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:30 AM

It was a security camera! By that logic he recorded her as well! He’s just as likely to have set up or purchase the camera. I have a security camera out my front window. My friend has one in his backyard. I have a bajillion recordings of people coming and going and random neighbor interactions because of it. There’s nothing wrong with that
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:20 AM

You are never going to get the majority of women to like you. If you’re into a niche subculture then yeah that might hurt your chances with the average woman, but probably help your chances with other women in that same subculture. The biggest example I can think of that I’ve seen is the burning man crowd in SF. I’ve heard girls and guys say that burners are a walking red flag, but people in the community date and are most successful among themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:06 AM

It was caught on camera. She likely didn’t even set up the camera or had any intention at the time of using that video in a divorce case two years after the fact I don’t get why you’re so interested in this divorce. If my wife spoke to me like that I would 100% divorce her. If I happened to find video evidence of it then I 100% would turn that over to my lawyer
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 03:53 AM

She didn’t record him. The fight was picked up by an outdoor security camera. Very different things
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 03:09 AM

If your life is so boring that you’re “waiting for death” suddenly adding a new partner isn’t going to magically fix that
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 08:03 PM
10

If I don’t teach my future daughter how to fix things or change a tire then I believe I will have failed as a father If is don’t teach my future son how to cook and clean then I believe I will have failed as a father Avoiding specific chore assignments and learning opportunities based on gender is just setting your kids up for failure
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 07:00 PM
3

Sure. But the latter is absolutely a part of many people’s lives even when they have a partner A partner most likely isn’t going to fix that for you
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 06:11 PM
3

If my wife is working then I’m not going to lose half my stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 02:10 PM

My grandma would say “cold hands; warm heart”
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 06:10 AM
83

I hate to break it to you, but for most people, life with a partner will be very boring as well
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 02:08 AM
18

No that sounds miserable. I want a wife that works but once we are married everything goes together. I don’t want to spend the time and energy making sure everything is exactly fair
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 02:05 AM
2

No. I’m not interested in that kind of relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/23 12:23 AM
5

I’d argue that in most cases it is growth. Hell, I’ve made mistakes in early relationships and thus I’ve changed how I approach as I’ve gotten older. Young people also tend to want different things when dating when compared to older. No relationship is the same and you’re just shooting yourself in the foot by going into it with that kind of attitude
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 07:52 PM
2

one of the best things about humans is our ability to learn and grow from past experiences. It’s perfectly fine to wait a bit for many reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 07:22 PM

I live in a city where several grocery stores are in walking distance so like 4 hours before. If I go into the office I grab an extra meal to take home and eat that sometimes though
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 05:26 PM
1

I’m allergic so immediate dealbreaker
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 04:22 PM
4

This is exactly how I would put it The best and most successful relationships I’ve witnessed/experienced have been between equals and I wouldn’t want it any other way
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 03:44 PM

I think you may have a problem friend
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 01:25 AM

Straight up just mental illness
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 12:35 AM

Not all that important depending on what you want in life. I think a lot of people can be perfectly happy single
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 12:34 AM

Yes at some point you need to just be a man about it and move on. Expressing outward disgust about reasonable bodily functions is childish When my little brother was in diapers and needed to be changed I dealt with it. When my friend and I were traveling in SE Asia and they got stomach issues from eating something and let me know I didn’t go “eww that’s so gross” i figured it out and got them what they needed Now if some guy starts describing his bodily functions in grotesque detail just because…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 11:53 PM

Lol where? Saying it’s gross and outwardly expressing disgust is just plain childish behavior. If your girl starts her period you’re not going to tell her how gross it is. You’re going to be a man and get her what she needs to take care of it
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 11:27 PM

I am a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 10:33 PM

It’s gross but I don’t audibly say “ew gross” whenever someone says they need to use the restroom
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 10:30 PM
1

I read somewhere that the China one was a fake story that went viral but not 100% sure
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 10:21 PM

Pissing is a normal bodily function and it would be weird if somebody expressed obvious disgust about it. Same thing with periods
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 10:18 PM

You gotta keep taking the initiative until it sticks unfortunately
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 10:15 PM
1

What ethnicity? I’m half Asian and I do ok but it does limit my options a bit
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 03:49 PM
1

No. She has every right to be aware and involved in shared finances
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 06:44 AM
2

I certainly wouldn’t date an unemployed girl
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 11:07 PM
1

Yeah based on that + the balding I’d say a 6 would be even slightly out of your league. I have a friend that had the same problem and he’d just hit on baristas or go for girls with questionable mental health and end up being able to date up in looks that way. You make good money so there’s always that option
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 11:03 PM
2

How would you rate yourself on a 1-10 scale? Balding can be a real turnoff for a lot of women but you’re tall so that helps 1 date a month isn’t that bad but it does suggest you may be shooting for the very top of your league
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 08:33 PM

Farmers market with my gf and then a little dinner party at a friend’s new apartment
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 03:35 PM
1

It’s more complicated. Like if I met a girl at a party and tried to hook up that night, I’m not thinking about her being a gf or not. I’m just trying to get laid and maybe after if we vibe there could be more In college I thought a tad more like that. Like when I’d meet a girl but I’m not really interested in a relationship or specifically not interested in a relationship with her then I would at least try to fuck real quick with no real plans of anything else I grew out of that pretty quickly a…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 03:24 PM
2

It’s oversimplified. Cost of living varies widely depending on where you are in the US. My 2 bedroom apartment in a city is more than my aunt’s 4 bedroom house in another state
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 05:33 AM
1

As a way to survive but that’s it
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 02:03 AM

Ah yes. Let’s take this one story that was unique and interesting enough to warrant an article in the NYT as proof that ALL women are evil monsters
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 02:03 AM
3

I’ve had the most success meeting women through friends for relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 10:13 PM
6

I took the train this morning and saw an overweight unattractive man with an average girl. But most couples I see in real life are fairly evenly matched
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 08:03 PM
1

Where did you read that schools were dropping it? I have taken it and so have most of my friends. Only one found out his father wasn’t his father and when he confronted his parents found out that they had actually used a sperm donor as his dad was older and his parents were struggling to get pregnant
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 06:36 PM
1

I’ll get back to you once I can get access to a computer. If I remember correctly the figures were from the CSA. but in the meantime, I suggest you look for better sources when estimated paternity fraud
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 06:05 PM
2

The study wasn’t made by the guardian. But the guardian reported on it. Try again I just find it funny how you don’t seem to read the links you even provide
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:51 PM
1

Lol it’s actually referenced in that article you posted. Number 6
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:47 PM
1

Again, those numbers are from couples asking for paternity tests. So there’s a huge selection bias I would suggest finding a different source though. Much of that you linked doesn’t provide the actual “studies” they claim these stats are coming from
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:36 PM
1

I think France’s ban is shitty, but it only bans private tests. In France DNA paternity testing is solely performed on decision of a judge in case of a judiciary procedure in order either to establish or contest paternity or to obtain or deny child support. Doesn’t necessarily mean that paternity fraud is common in France
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:25 PM
1

My gf and I both have around 1k. Accounts are private but we travel a lot and insta is a good way to stay in contact
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:02 PM
2

There aren’t any good stats for chances of paternity fraud as nearly all are from couples who wanted to test for paternity (so huge selection bias) Most recent one not like this was .2% in the UK but that’s just one country
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 05:01 PM
1

Ok this is perfect
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 04:58 PM

I’m just a tad above average
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 04:53 PM

So you’re still just going to college? How does that align with what you said?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 02:57 PM

How old are you now?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 04:17 AM

Environments where you’re drinking are usually environments where you’re most likely to hook up with someone. But I don’t think it’s normal for all of them to be that way
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 12:12 AM
2

Depends on what they want to do with their lives. I wouldn’t be where I am now had I not gone to a good school
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 12:11 AM

I think social media plays a large role in this

This experience is only that of a minority of guys. Not most. And it’s also a recipe for misery
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 07:16 PM

Also just basic etiquette to include the source in the article you’re posting anyway

And I’d bet most men surveyed would say they’re want to be a man so idk what your point is. Like I agree that the oppression complaining in modern times is stupid. But I think you’re taking an irrelevant stat

It’s fine but I think it would be a little weird to ask on a first date
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 02:56 AM

Well I’m proud of you for ending it. That’s not an easy thing to do even if the relationship is toxic
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 02:03 AM

Hey you should 100% get out of the relationship if she’s consistently treating you like that. It’s not the norm and it will likely only get worse
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 01:57 AM

I had a friend in college who had a childhood gf that went to the same university. She was incredibly attractive to the point that I’d get slightly nervous being around her. I never made a move though as she was my friend’s girl
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 12:52 AM
5

Any evidence for this? I have never posted a single comment that was hateful towards men. A weird claim to make from you considering I’m a man myself You’re the one claiming men are more self conscious than women. One other user refuted you with an actual study and you ignored her and then claimed you were too busy to show her studies yourself If you can’t back up your claims you aren’t prepared to have a reasonable good faith debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:53 PM
3

You realize your podcasts are anecdotal and not a replacement for actual peer reviewed research right? And yet you cling to those and refuse to offer any actual evidence for your claim?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:34 PM

How am I delusional? Study after study finds men to have more self esteem than women on average. You’re talking out of your ass and the second somebody challenges that you shut down
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:32 PM
1

No I’m talking about the average
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:20 PM

Men are more self centered and narcissistic than women are on average. They tend to have higher self esteem as well so there goes that theory
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:06 PM

Ok so two things here: 1. Many people on dating apps aren’t actually active, bots, etc. 2. If you can’t get any matches from a 3 and above, you’re probably not a 7
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:03 PM

Yeah 60% are single. Doesn’t mean 30% are incels

The one I remember the most just had old pictures
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/23 12:50 AM
2

Not particularly. One just texted a ton and seemed overly attentive. It’s just kind of annoying when you only just met the person One girl just wouldn’t let the date end and even though I liked her at the beginning of the date, by the end of it I was getting annoyed But those are really the only two where that’s happened on the first date Most of the time it’s after a few dates and they start pushing a committed relationship way too early. It’s enough for me to want to walk away
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 09:41 PM
1

Yeah. It was enough of a turnoff to make a difference in a few instances
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 09:29 PM
21

Ones that I remember: - She didn’t look like her picture - Came on really strong - Didn’t feel much of a spark. Date felt like more of an interview - She was super late and didn’t apologize or even give an excuse - Found out she still lives at home with her parents - She had a cat and I’m allergic Most common was just the lack of a spark though. Sometimes you feel it but most of the time you don’t.

Yeah I have an old coworker/friend where that was the case. Both young and healthy and they always assumed it was her but turns out his sperm count was way low so they were struggling
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 07:12 PM
15

That’s the shitty thing though. Male fertility is highly correlated with environmental factors and modern living will have a massive impact on your fertility in addition to just age. Sperm counts have declined by 52.4 percent between 1973 and 2011 and more and more men are struggling with their fertility. You may be “healthy” but little things like drinking from plastic water bottles, using non stick pans, and just existing in the modern world are constantly bombarding you with endocrine disrupt…

Lol in 1700s 1 in 5 women in London were prostitutes. Hoe behavior ain’t new But seriously, men and women aren’t all the different. If you take a man and put him under the same market conditions as a woman you’re likely to get the same outcome. We are all just people reacting to society and the overall dating market at large
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 06:14 PM
25

Oh boy are you in for a rude awakening friend. I have a buddy out here in SF that runs a fertility clinic. He’s told me over half the couples that come in with issues are because of the guy. Im late twenties but some of my early thirties friends are freezing their sperm

I wouldn’t say passport bros always go because they perceive foreign women to be higher quality wives. Many go simply because they can’t compete in their local market
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 05:49 AM
3

I can’t answer that. But according to the US census in 2011: “Among the mixed-nativity married-couple households — households with one native-born and one foreign-born spouse — the foreign-born spouse was more likely to be the wife (55 percent) than the husband (45 percent).” So it seems like it’s pretty close. Doesn’t really show the nationality breakdown though further but does note that most foreign-born spouses to natives are from Latin America followed by Europe and then Asia. But the data …

Yeah wealthy bachelors, but you don’t have to be wealthy to go to many eastern countries. So I’d assume that plays a part in why many more people go to the east to find wives vs the other way around. It’s more attainable for middle class men and their dollar goes further over there. I’d also bet money that most of the foreign tourists to NYC are from western counties where visa requirements are lax and cost of living is also relatively high Edit: the webpage you linked “According to NYC & Compan…

It’s much more difficult to come to the west for dating/marriage than it is to go the other way. Primarily due to visa and cost related issues

Sorry I assumed it was obvious. As for the first question, many of the “games” include some basic dating etiquette. This can include the following: - Sending a follow-up text after the date if you’re interested in going on another - Not overloading a first date with constant texts/attention as to not come off overbearing/playing a little hard to get - Avoiding uncomfortable topics on a first date like overly sexual jokes, oversharing intimate details, talking about your ex, etc. - Putting your b…

Ok and? What does that have to do with anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/23 01:29 AM

Yes it’s real. It just means behaviors associated with masculinity or femininity that are harmful
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 11:39 PM

I actually kind of agree with you here. So many people view the other gender like they’re a different species
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 10:57 PM

Yeah I’m just more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt as some of them are so young
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 10:23 PM
5

That’s the part where you take it too far. But little things in the beginning can be useful. Like texting someone a million times a day or being overly eager can be a bit of a turnoff when you start out.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 09:42 PM

Because, frankly, they get results. But it’s a double edged sword. Play too many games and you’ll likely end up regretting it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 09:24 PM

Depends on the slip up. Most women worth pursuing are plenty forgiving for human mistakes/slip ups. You were late to the date? No problem with a valid excuse

What do you mean? I found this paper interesting too. Provides a good overview and touches on how changing laws influence convictions (and even the paper is over 20 years old). You’re right in that it’s difficult to fully convict in the past though https://brooklynworks.brooklaw.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?referer=&httpsredir=1&article=1769&context=blr

I didn’t even kiss a girl until I was 18. It has had no impact on my dating life as an adult However I think it’s important for teens to learn to socialize and date. I still would ask girls to dances and would go on group dates occasionally with friends. None of it was romantic though. Most valuable imo was having a mixed friend group
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 03:20 AM
1

Again it’s the notable cases. Both cases occurred years ago and laws have since been amended since. And the case of the Israeli man is an example where someone was convicted of rape by misrepresenting themselves. Do I agree with this? No. Am I pointing out that rape by deception is a thing? Yes
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 10:40 PM
1

“Boro was arrested again for the same scheme three years later. This time he was convicted of rape under the revised California statute. It is believed that Boro used this scheme to rape dozens of women over many years.”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 09:09 PM

Did you not see the sections about the US? And these are only notable cases. It varies by state but states like California, Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee and more have laws outlawing rape by deception
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 08:01 PM

Yep! Here is a wiki page that notes some notable cases https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_by_deception One notable is a guy who lied about being a neurosurgeon to get a girl to sleep with him. Another lied about being Jewish and single when he was actually married. One was a girl that pretended to be a guy. The California one is particularly crazy
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 05:22 PM

Yeah I agree that this case specifically sets a messed up precedent. Just pointing out that it’s a thing cause then it gets a little hairy But the other cases are all over the place. The one in California with the fake doctor is particularly wtf
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 05:19 PM
1

Yeah I think that’s where we differ. I don’t think anyone should be forced to undertake a medical procedure against their consent
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 04:38 PM

I don’t know if STDs are prosecuted under that. I think things like knowingly spreading AIDS is a different conviction. But if you didn’t know you had something and spread it then it wouldn’t be deception This provides a good overview of some past cases. One involved a man lying that he was a neurosurgeon to get a women to sleep with him and fell under rape by deception https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_by_deception
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 04:36 PM

Ok but even if the mother has one kid by herself doesn’t mean she will be single forever or is unable to find another coparent. Also single parent includes parents who get divorced after the birth of the child. My best friend grew up in a single parent home and turned out great. Should he have been aborted? How about we just make all men get vasectomies at puberty so they can’t get anyone pregnant? They can have it reversed once they get married and decide to have kids. From a utilitarian perspe…

Don’t bother lol. He’s never going to understand it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 04:09 PM

Ok and how about the psychological implications? Some women attempt suicide and have other major mental issues after an abortion. It just should never be forced on anyone
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 04:04 PM

Neither is birth control. And about the abortion pill, plenty of women experience side effects and long term complications from that as well. Both physical and mental. So no. That’s not ok either
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:58 PM

Hahaha I think this is the most bizarre conversation I’ve ever had on Reddit. You can’t even read a few past comments to see that you’re wrong Good luck with your life lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:56 PM

Or you could just wear a condom?? How are those two things related? Also where are you getting 2 week discomfort? It can have long term implications and completely affected my gfs mood for months
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:54 PM
1

No I didn’t. I gave you an article where a guy lied about who he was and that he was single in order to get a woman to sleep with him and then was convicted of rape by deception
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:53 PM

Just go on reveddit. I deleted nothing. You can’t seem to comprehend that rape by deception is a thing you can be convicted of
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:51 PM

I deleted nothing. You’re making things up
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:48 PM

No. Even the lower dose stuff (idk the term) can cause pretty intense side effects for some women. It’s a minority for sure. Also there are just longer term implications of being a birth control for long periods of time My gf doesn’t want to take it because of how it makes her feel. That’s a good enough reason not to
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:47 PM

I did. It’s not there
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:44 PM

Where did I ever say cheating was rape?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:42 PM

Where did I even say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:42 PM

Trying to talk to some guy here who doesn’t believe rape by deception exists. It’s not that he doesn’t agree with it. He just doesn’t seem to believe anyone has ever been convicted of it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:27 PM
1

I provided all of the relevant links. There are plenty of court cases related to this. Just google rape by deception I don’t know how much clearer I can make this for you
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:26 PM
11

And I was saying “so many guys here” complain about that very situation
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:24 PM
1

In some countries yes It’s all in those links I provided
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:21 PM
12

Complaining literally means to express dissatisfaction with something. They are expressing dissatisfaction “when women sit around on the sidelines while he’s putting in the work and then getting with him after”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:20 PM
1

You don’t think that lying about being single and looking for a relationship in order to make yourself more attractive to women falls under that category? What about lying about your job a bit so you seem more impressive? I’m not saying you have to agree with it. But I’m pointing out that in both those scenarios above, even though the sex was consensual, they were convicted of rape because they lied in order to get the woman to consent
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:17 PM
1

The man in the article was convicted of rape because he lied about being a single Jewish man who was looking for a relationship. A woman slept with him and found out he was married and not who he said he was and then he was charged with rape by deception. We are talking about the same thing. In some cases if you lie to someone in order to sleep with them, it counts as rape
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:11 PM
13

So many guys here say they don’t care about a woman’s career or how much money she makes and then complain about shit like this
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:09 PM
1

Again, see the first link https://www.reuters.com/article/us-israel-sex-idUKTRE66L2PX20100722 He lied about who he was and what he was looking for to get a woman to sleep with him

Rape by deception is a thing where you rape someone by lying to them This is a big one: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-israel-sex-idUKTRE66L2PX20100722 This lists notable cases: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_by_deception

How?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 08:13 PM
1

I get that but again, it’s WRONG. It is bad to think that way. Society should discourage that kind of thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 04:56 AM
1

It should still be discouraged. Just because something can’t be completely eradicated doesn’t mean we should let it run rampant. There will always be rapists in the world no matter what we do. So do you think we should just let them do whatever?? There will always be racist people. So should we just accept that way of thinking?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 04:26 AM
1

I’m sorry but that’s not the only way to address this nor it is even possible to go about it that way. Ultimately the individual is responsible for themselves. I understand edge cases of extreme trauma. But we as humans are capable of unlearning and preventing prejudice and should be encouraged to do so I’m half Asian I’ve had plenty of people give me shit through my life from racial stereotypes based in their own experiences. Those people are perfectly capable of addressing their own fucked up …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 04:01 AM
1

Of course it exists. I’m merely pointing out that the way of thinking is fucked up and should be addressed and discouraged
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 02:17 AM
1

Mostly yeah but it depends. Like if they have an ex spouse they share kids with or an ex that it’s in their friend circle with healthy boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 12:15 AM

How is it different then? I have relatives who are actually scared for black people based on what they see in media and one distant family member being robbed. It’s a fucked up way of thinking It’s perfectly acceptable to be wary of strangers and make smart decisions based on past experiences. But it’s fucked up generalize like that and will limit your own life.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/23 11:54 PM

Yeah that’s also fucked up. I also think it’s fucked up when middle class white ladies get so scared of any black person ever because they only watch Fox News or some shit. It doesn’t excuse that way of thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/23 11:10 PM

It is a fucked up way to think though. It’s completely limiting

That hasn’t been my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/23 10:06 PM

I mean as a man, I’d prefer someone to be apathetic to me rather than downright hate me for my gender. In extreme cases you get hateful people going on killing sprees or just generally out of their way to harm people they hate I’m half Asian and I used to get some kids follow me home in middle school making fun and saying racial slurs. Once one of those kids actually head butted me in the halls. Didn’t break my nose but it bled for what felt like forever. I’d much rather they were apathetic rath…

The lowest and most recent figure is .2% Just like we don’t test all babies for every disease because it’s a waste of medically resources, we don’t need to test every single baby for paternity’s BECAUSE IT IS ALREADY WIDELY AVAILABLE. Not to mention the chance of a false negative. It’s what like 1%? Now test millions of babies a year and see how that goes
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/23 05:28 PM

But it really is. For the vast majority of the western world they are easily accessible. Makes no sense to spend the money and resources to mandate something that isn’t necessary for the vast majority of people

I know the study you got that from and it’s not even a real study but rather a culmination of paternity testing mostly in the 1950s and 1980s. They are also based on data from couples the request paternity testing. So major selection bias More recent numbers are .2% in the UK

It’s not though. It’s extremely rare
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/23 03:49 AM

For the last time: YOU CAN JUST GET A PATERNITY TEST YOURSELF. There is legitimately no reason to mandate it

She’s hotter than me imo but I’d say we are still evenly matched

She’s talking about status not skill set. The high school cheer captain is the status equivalent of the high school football captain. Obviously this changes post college when professional football players are leaps and bounds ahead of their cheerleader counterparts

These men are only a minority but still prevalent in my experience. You get the same with women too. Girls who are maybe a 6 on a good day convinced that they’ll bag a millionaire

Yeah and I think you should have every opportunity to raise your kids how you see fit. I just don’t think there’s a “right” way. I have plenty of childhood friends who had stay at home moms. Some did great. Others ended up having pretty terrible life outcomes. It entirely depends on the family and their circumstances. I personally am grateful we had access to a good daycare and after school programs as I really think it made me such a socially adept person very young

Idk I just found it

Yeah take it or leave it

He’s the one that’s the most overt about it but I’ve seen plenty of guys like this since college. It’s pretty normal. Just like all the girls who are like a 6 and think they can bag a millionaire Delusional

“All my friends with girlfriends” So the subset of my friend group with girlfriends. I’d say it’s about 50/50 as I’m in my late twenties and more and more of my friends are coupling up
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 08:28 PM

Well it’s old so there’s that
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 07:00 PM

Can you give me an example of a 6 and a 9 then according to your scale?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 06:59 PM

It entirely depends on the individual family and what works for them. It’s just silly to say you want a “traditional” marriage when it’s “traditional when?” Because for the vast majority of history women worked and childcare was limited I was raised by a working mom and I turned out great. Daycare works wonders for a lot of kids especially through early socialization with their peers. I’d love to have the forest school model like they do in Denmark more widely available.

Can you give me an example of what you think a 4 and a 5 is?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 06:03 PM
5

How so? It’s the most accurate one I’ve seen
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:44 PM
5

Yeah that def plays a role. However considering 45% of women in Brazil are overweight I’d say average there is slightly on the heavier side as well I think most people overinflate what “average” is because we usually see people on T.V. and social media that are consistently above average. Your perception gets messed up. But again it’s location specific. Like the whole LA 6 is a Ohio 9 thing. It’s never going to be an exact science
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:43 PM
2

Eh personal preference plays a role. I’d say some 5s I see are unattractive but they’re still average. Especially considering the average us woman is overweight I’d put her in the 4/5 category depending on the day
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:28 PM
2

Yeah I think personal preference plays a role
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:26 PM

She’s unattractive
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:17 PM
2

I think there’s a guy one somewhere too
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:08 PM
2

Below average is unattractive though. You can’t be below average and not be unattractive. Or at least I have yet to see an example
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:07 PM
3

Hard disagree there friend. 5s are accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 05:06 PM
8

4 is unattractive imo. But it’s the most accurate chart I’ve seen thus far. You have to remember it’s a bell curve and thus 5 is the largest category

All my friends with girlfriends are with girls in their league or maybe .5 point above and below (myself included) I have one friend who is completely delusional and keeps going for 9/10s when he’s nowhere near that himself. Won’t settle for anything else and then complains how “all women are ____” it’s fucking annoying This is anecdotal but the men I see really struggling tend to be below average themselves or delusional to what their own league is. (Or mental illness/neurodivergent but that’s …

Historically “caring for children” was strapping them to your back as you worked the fields or just leaving them somewhere for hours at a time. Traditional women worked and when children were old enough they were largely left to completely fend for themselves and work in the house/field alongside their parents
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 03:10 PM

Don’t listen to that guy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 03:04 PM

What’s that and why does it prevent recognition of male victims?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/23 11:39 PM

I agree. Truth is somewhere in the middle. But people also take evopsych wayyy to far claiming it is explains everything without any test Ike hypothesis. Basically if your theory is infallible you’re in conspiracy territory
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 08:32 PM

Most of it is because the people who use evopsych in arguments online have no idea what they’re talking about and make the whole field look incredibly stupid Also it’s incredibly broad and a large portion of the claims made by interested parties are conspiracy theory level garbage
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 07:53 PM

What did he do?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 07:44 PM

I’m a man and I can’t even truly sympathize with that. You’re talking about a minority of people
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 07:43 PM

Bored working from home so looking through the local “are we dating the same guy” Facebook page using my gf’s fb and omg some of these women are fucking stupid Whole thread on there about some girl’s bf being sentenced to years in prison and she’s looking for support and a bunch of girls in the comments talking about their husbands being locked up for 20 years and shit. Like why are you staying with someone who is going to prison??? If my gf did something serious enough to be sentenced to years …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 07:37 PM

It’s fine. But I think timelines are weird. I’d be more open to the idea if someone was waiting for a committed relationship or something rather than an arbitrary time
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 07:20 PM

Depends what you mean by funny. Most girls I know have said an actually funny joke or made me laugh from time to time. But I wouldn’t say they were “funny” But I think when women say they want a funny guy the bar is pretty low

It absolutely is in Korea. India too probably after seeing all the Holi assault stuff

To each their own. If it would make them feel good and doesnt hurt me to ask for a blessing then it seems silly not to
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 05:00 PM

It’s not safe. Also not safe for a guy to get black out drunk in front of anyone. Just don’t do it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 04:44 PM

Congrats
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 04:43 PM

You don’t need it. It’s just the gesture. Plus I wouldn’t really want to marry a girl unless I got along with her family well anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 04:43 PM
2

Not asking her dad’s permission but I think it goes a long way to let her parents know your intentions and ask for their blessing

SWE. Excellent money, low hours, engaging/challenging problems, + lots of perks GF is in a good spot in VC and I’d bet she’d agree that her job is like this as well
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/23 03:39 PM

For the vast majority of lower wage earners I agree. But for many higher earning workers, jobs are way more fun and engaging. I’d personally prefer to work than be a stay at home dad
