Currently in our society (though this may depend on your age demographic) what we're seeing is that a portion of people have become highly promiscuous while others are having less sex than in the past. In fact, nearly 40% of people in their mid 20s are virgins (per this article from Business Insider). A large amount of people haven't even been in any relationships.
