I wish you were wrong, but I know you are correct.

It gets better. I’m not far ahead of you, my wife had an affair July 14th, now we’re getting divorced. There are stages to this. If you have friends or people that actually love you, stirring yourself with them.

She knows how to hurt me. She is trying to keep my kids away from me. She called the police and made a fake claim while I was asleep last night. We’re still in the same house. I woke up to my dog barking and police at my door. Pray for us.

Let her learn, by the time she figures it out you’ll have your life put back together with a better one. You can’t fix another persons bad character.

Thanks. The challenge I’m running into is she refuses to accept it and is doing everything she can to manipulate her way back to what she had. I agreed to go to counseling, but only so I can have a third party there to help reiterate that it is over between us.

I found text messages last Tuesday. Emotional affair at the least. Enough to leave though. I can’t wait to be on the other side of this.

Narcissists are know to change forms of manipulation based on the result. I’m not a doctor and can’t day my wife was a narcissist, but she absolutely demonstrated documented traits and has always been very manipulative.

How did you fail her? And How did she fail you?

What are your current level assets? And how reasonable of a woman is she? I think a prenup is needed if you’re semi established, and still good to have even if you are just in the accumulation phase of life.

If they don’t have the will it is over. Once they step out they have demonstrated they lost respect for you. The only way you’ll ever get it back is by leaving. I found out last week my wife had an emotional affair at a minimum but likely more. I decided it is over and am now focusing on what’s best for the kids with her in consideration as well. I’m a good man and will continue to be, but what I won’t be is her spouse. I’ve already been looking at places and am seeing one tomorrow that I may pu…

I focus on the future and the things I can do now to achieve the future I want. I also remember the pain she caused.

She probably replaced you before you left, it just became official after. Run bro. There is better out there for you.

Make it about your child. Once they resent you and lose respect, the relationship is over. Do it amicably if you can.

I was betrayed today, that’s when I too understood that she is no longer MY wife. Detaching is the heartiest choice I could have made. I’m not fully detached yet, but I’m fully committed to it and will be eventually.

I’m going through this now. I’m prepared to do things amicably or hit the self destruct button. I’d prefer to focus on what’s best for my children, but I’m willing to do whatever is needed to be away from this situation. I understood your line being prepared for financial ruin. The betrayal I experienced was so bad that financial ruin would be easier to tolerate than staying.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
