Honestly this post is great for general anxieties as well. I'm struggling to get myself out there and get a job in the field I've just gone to college for. This post gave me a whole new perspective about it. Great read! Definitely saving this one.

I think maybe the point that made it seem suspicious was that she never said anything about it, and then when he questioned it, it confirmed his suspicion because she acted sorry and was obviously freaking out and trying to get out of the situation

Ah I see why that's such a problem, thank you for clarification

Wait so the problem was she was pretending to be friends with someone who she made up? That does sound kinda really weird, but I'm confused why that's such a big deal that you noped out

I found out about this sub because someone mentioned it in an AskReddit titled "What's the most fucked up subreddits?" Or something like that. They all were bashing this sub, calling it disgusting and fucked up, etc. Ironically, I subbed and read posts from here all the time.

Thank you for writing this, I needed it. I struggle with clinical depression, but I've tried some of the things on this list previously and they do help. Now I have more things to try.

I mean if she tries a shit test like "would you still be with me if I were fat?" And you return it with the same question to her about you, what do you say if she says yes? Her:"Would you still love me if I were fat? You:"Would you still love me if I were fat?" Her:"Yes I would."

I don't think I understand the takeaway part. It sounds so foreign the way it was explained, imo

Out of curiosity, what do you return with if she says yes? Reason I ask is my last ex pulled something very similar to this and when I turned it around on her, she said yes instead of the expected "no".

That's a perfect way to handle it. It probably was a trap. My ex texted me the other day asking for a "really really big favor", said no thank you to that real quick.

This is stupid simple, but it's so effective (for me at least). I've done more in the past 3 days than I've done in years.

I'm really proud of my own personal progress in this. So far I've kept up the push-ups, which is a challenge for me as it is, and I've been able to set clear goals for myself. Today's challenge is harder for me, as the first step is distinguishing what it is that is ailing my soul, but I assure myself and every man here that I will find it and flesh it out as soon as I am capable. In the words of one of my favorite songs, "Our legacy won't be wasted on me".

I don't fully understand this "agree & amplify".. can someone provide more examples or describe it another way?

I think he's saying it shouldn't have to be a "right" that is granted

I thoroughly appreciate the direct example. A lot of the stuff I read on here, while interesting to ponder as it is, tends to go over my head because I don't fully grasp what is being said. In this, the example helped me grasp the message fully

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
