It's okay not comprehending where the other person is coming from. We tend to dramatize lots of things, and her description is consistent to how the act is sometimes portrayed, as with any other human behavior. Since we're on the internet, there is little context on how our opinions were formed. What's your upbringing? Where are you from? What's your belief system? The lack of a physical presence online takes away the human context that would otherwise demand respect in real life. Anything subje…

I think what underlies your reaction is a fear of your ego being attacked by someone else's personal preferences. Don't take it personally. If someone in this world finds something repulsive, it is their right. If a man and a woman cannot come to a compromise about something that's a dealbreaker for one partner, they should not be together.

Thanks for speaking truthfully. I feel you a lot. I cried for days when I found out that my partner was doing that stuff. I suddenly didn’t feel like cooking anymore, folding his laundry, or helping him voluntarily. My initial thoughts were: Why bother sacrificing for this person when they prefer to spend their free time doing That instead of helping me, or spending time with me? Nowadays I am either numb or in denial.

That's so sweet of you to say, thank you. Even though I'm my mother's only child, I'm technically her 4th because of the 3 abortions she had before me. She was a full-time professor and my dad was about to leave indefinitely to study abroad. I was told that the decision to keep me was the wedge that was going to save her marriage (it didn't ultimately). There's a lot to unpack, but I love my mom very much.

Hahahahaha, I totally did not consider head circumference while dating. I don't prescribe to gender politics, so no, I don't believe biological males can get pregnant. To me the universe created two genders and the rest is just culture (expect for hermaphrodites).

"Flatlining after haemorrhaging" -That was my mom. My grandparents signed her will during the c-section. Motherhood is a risk to me healthwise. I'm small boned, have a narrow pelvis, and my partner is a foot taller than me with a large head circumference. I'm also East Asian meaning that due to pelvic size, I'm more likely to have a c-section, which gives me anxiety whenever I think about it and gives my mother PTSD whenever I mention it. No thanks, I'd rather be selfish, hahaha.

Maybe, but have you heard stories of women's vaginas splitting from clitoris to anus while giving birth? Or flatlining after hemorrhaging during a c-section? That's what I'm afraid of. Money is nothing to me in comparison to the potentially life-threatening health issues and permanent disfigurement that I hear about all the time from moms.

My Korean friend says that's true for her country. Free medical and childcare. However, she recently confided to me that she regrets having her two little girls. Sad.

External circumstances don't matter to me as much as these: My mother nearly hemorrhaged to death giving birth to me. She had her family sign her will during the c-section. I am her only. I am unusually small-boned with a small pelvis, and my partner is a foot taller than me with a large head circumference. Our baby would likely be bigger than what my body can handle and I will have a dangerous birthing experience. New moms have informed me about medical complications, mutilations, permanent d…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
