No way would Swedish criminal justice system work in (most of) the US. Our culture is now far too violent. Many of our most progressive cities have tried to apply the leniency of Scandinavian terms in the last two years, and the disaster it has become will cost them control of the federal government next election. don’t think anyone’s ever been jailed merely for paying for sex there. Don’t you think the idea that men are guilty of solicitation but women providers are not is a bit sexist? I know …

The US is rapidly bifurcating along red / blue lines with abortion laws. Conservative states are passing Texas-style laws, and blue states are countering by pushing “legal till day of birth” laws. Isn’t abortions effectively banned in US? In reality, even most conservative states aren’t all that different than what’s allowed in much of Europe, while blue states are creating the most liberal abortion laws seen anywhere in the world. Sex drives comparisons have conflicting results Ridiculous, and …

I never claimed it was sex workers themselves who were pushing these laws. My guess is it’s typical feminist orgs which absolutely hate the idea of younger women and all men being able to avoid the marriage / relationship tax that gives a massive advantage to older, less attractive women at the expense of everyone else, including sex workers. But I’m sure there’s a lot more nuance to these laws than I’m aware of. As a guy who’s looking at it strictly in terms of the “men vs women” battle lines, …

It doesn’t exist for women now. No reason it needs to exist for men. Buy sex toys like a normal horny woman would. They exist for men, FYI. …. Is that for just men? What does the wording of the law look like? Any “man” or any “person”? Okay in a sense you’re right. We don’t provide horny, lonely women access to male prostitutes. And I assume a woman could be prosecuted for using a male or female prostitute, just like most men are (gay or straight). The difference, though, is that we still - cont…

I don’t think you’re heralded as “heroes” but there is a growing divide between how we treat sex workers (mostly women) and their customers (mostly men). Many western countries and US states (e.g. NY) are moving towards the “Swedish model” regarding (de) criminalization of prostitution, where the providers are immune from prosecution and even given subsidies, free health care, etc while (male) customers are still heavily prosecuted and societally shamed. If we gave the same lip service to men’s …

This book Real World Divorce is really interesting. It has real attorneys from every state detail what would happen in a few different scenarios e.g. wealthy guy divorces sugar baby after quickie-marriage, two equal-earning parents with 3 kids divorce after 15 years of marriage, etc.

Haha, it’s a bit satirical. OTOH, I do think that a society has a fundamental interest in ensuring that we’re all able to fulfill our most basic needs. So if you’re going to claim that basic health care, education, shelter, food, employment, etc. are provided to all by forced state transfers, then ability for men to obtain sex should be up there, especially if you’re claiming that abortion & contraceptive access, subsidized fertility treatments, state child support and alimony laws, etc. for wom…

If we’re gonna start spouting all this bullshit about “human rights”, which according to the Reddit mob, includes everything from free premium health insurance to UBI and rent and taxpayer abortion on demand, then I’d say we ought to back up a bit, and revisit ol’ Maslow’s Hierarchy of (actual) Needs. It would seem that sex and intimacy are more important than, say, taxpayer funded master degrees in gender studies. And so I’d say it’s logical to demand that the state ensure that all men - especi…

After that I had to deal with dating below average women who treated me poorly because it was the best I could get but now I know I am better off just being single instead of tolerating that bullshit. This was the conclusion I came to also after a few years of playing the online dating game, even in a costal city where an “educated man” can do alright due to too many educated women vs men here. Listen: I know I’m not a 9. I know I’m never gonna be able to go into some bar or club and be the guy …

When I say “bars and clubs” I really mean the type of one-night situation where you go to a “meat-market” atmosphere of a bunch of 20 somethings and dance, get numbers, try and take a girl home, etc. For these I really do think looks and general “status” are 90% of success. You might be the funniest, coolest dude with tons of charisma, but how are the women going to know that when she hasn’t even talked to you, the music is blaring, and your one of 20 guys trying to dance with? Same at a bar whe…

Yea I think that dating apps and social media in general have just made it harder for young guys to get women. It’s just too easy for women to find 1000 men within a 15 mile radius willing to give them attention. And they know it. Supply and demand. However, I think the ONE place where supply and demand may be working in men’s favor is actually college campuses, especially those that are now approaching a 2/3 female to 1/3 male ratio. I did okay myself at college in the 2000s as the ratio was al…

Do you think things are a bit more polarized in terms of male appearance at a club now? I don’t think the male 7s and below have EVER had an easy time in clubs and bars where appearance and status are everything. The top 10% of guys have always had the attention of 80% of women at these places. And bottom 20% of men have always been completely banished from sexual / romantic marketplace. I think what may have changed in the last 20 years - since social media, Tinder, etc. - is that the rest of g…

I don’t think there was such a thing as “phone video” until the mid 2000s, at least at a quality that you’d watch. In late 90’s, camcorders were getting good - you could buy a small Sony model for $500. Wealthier middle class families all had one. But high school and college kids certainly did not carry these things around for fun, with the exception of the wanna-be “producer” or “film-maker” in every class. So I’m gonna guess that most videos you’re seeing are cherry picking the best looking pe…

All your reasonings are fine, and probably partially true. That being said, I’ve been taught that all disparities are absolutely the fault of systemic “ism”, so in this case everything is because of sexism. If men commit more crimes than women or die earlier or are incarcerated longer, it’s because they were conditioned to do so by an evil matriarchal society or because they are discriminated against. Period. Even arguing otherwise is sexist and not to be tolerated.

The (online) dating game is already horribly biased against men. They’ve done a few studies that have leaked, and let’s just say that even a 300 lb 3 gets 10x the attention and matches as an average looking guy making 6 figures. It’s just insane. That being said, I’d say one very small advantage that men have over women, in general, is that there is not nearly the bias against men with kids as there is against women with kids, at least in your age group of late 20s and above. Many men, myself in…

This isn’t normal, dude. If you’re “okay” with it, that’s fine. But if not: I mean first things first. Why don’t you just go use a hooker? If you’re in some ultra religious / feminist country, well there are upsides of globalization. Go take a little vacation to a more bachelor-friendly place. That would at least help your mental health, I’d think. From there, start considering some more drastic measures. Antidepressants, Testosterone injections, etc.

Wow $40k / month is insane. People don't believe these stories, but they're true, depending on the state. I know it's even worse than it looks because the payer (almost always the man) now has to pay full taxes on alimony and possibly some child support before he even hands it over. About what percent of your monthly income remains in your pocket after paying for CS, health care for her and kid, their expenses, alimony, etc? It wouldn't surprise me if she takes home 3/4 of your net income leavin…

The US is extra discriminatory towards men precisely because of the divorce-legal complex, as you mentioned. In most western countries, there is a bias towards men in both everyday life and also divorce, but it's worse in the US because the legal industry has so much more power here vs the EU, Asia, etc. I've never been divorced (nor married), but I've had to deal with courts in the US several times, and after that experience you understand our system is not about justice, it is just another ren…

The fact that you’re even trying to make a grand, unified claim that applies to everyone shows how little you know of the subject. The reality is that family court is completely different in every state. Some are approaching near equity with standardized child support calculators, very strict requirements for alimony, and near 50/50 custody in all non-exceptional cases. In other states, a woman’s vague and unsubstantiated accusation of “abuse” can mean you don’t see your kids for years, you’ll p…

Yea they are “actively” inhibiting men from these position. Like I said, many traditional male professions are bending over backwards to push women into the ranks, even if they’re not qualified. Nearly every single “project manager” of mine in the tech field has been a woman with no actual tech skills, because they need somewhere to place them. Meanwhile, there is absolutely no push in nursing, teaching, or government to get men in their industry. In fact, ask male teachers what it’s like these …

Good union jobs that mostly went to men in manufacturing were all offshored. Many trades jobs were similarly gutted by massive immigration which has mostly screwed over men. For skilled / white collar jobs, we see the same sexist dynamics. Millions of foreign workers have flooded into the country and mostly push out men in tech, engineering, systems administration, etc. Meanwhile, feminists have pushed to force companies to ensure women are represented in higher tier professions like law and med…

How old can the woman be to successfully carry one of her previously frozen eggs to full term? I assume a 60 year old woman can’t do it, regardless of how “young” the eggs are. There has to be some other problems that arise with an older woman that’d greatly increase the risk of miscarriage or some other issue. Or is the plan always to have a surrogate do it?
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen21/02/21 05:13 AM

Really unlikely she was bright enough to freeze eggs at 25. This was almost unheard of 20 years ago, and even now, most 25 year olds don’t have the money and absolutely don’t believe they’ll find themselves in such a position to need their eggs 15-20 years later. They’re so sure they can just find Mr. Perfect whenever they’re ready since they’re so used to attention in their early 20s. More likely she got divorced in mid 30s and by late 30s realized she just might not be able to find Chad willin…

Is there a difference between non violent crime sentencing, especially white collar crimes? Most non-violent criminals aren’t sentenced to prison anyway (e.g. small quantities of drugs).
/r/MensRights09/10/20 09:59 PM

I think it’s silly to complain that men are given harsher prison sentences than women. Men are physically stronger and prone to violence and more of a danger than women. Likewise, I have no problem if women don’t ever dominate sports, enjoy 50/50 representation in executive and leadership positions, earn as much money per capita, or win as many Nobel prizes. It’s just not possible for women to compete here because men are physically stronger than women, and the top of the IQ curve is predominant…

No, single mothers take up the lion’s share of state and federal direct aid (section 8, welfare cash, SNAP, Medicaid, etc). You don’t even have to be a legal resident to get a lot of these freebies if you’re a woman with a couple kids and no baby daddy found who can be forced to pay. The only other aid that’s really available for everyone else would be social security and Medicaid disability if you can obtain it. It’s not like the US has tons of support for the poor.

I could care less about this woman’s dating life. I don’t doubt that she’ll find a few beta males to entertain her for a few months at a time. I’m far more concerned that women like this seem to be an epidemic within the millennial and GenZ generations. And all of us who work for a living will be forced into subsidizing these garbage women, who will be given cushy, well paid pseudo-jobs in schools, universities, NGOs, and the government itself. They’ll produce nothing of value, but instead creat…

The whole premise that women weren’t allowed or didn’t work is completely false for both most of history and most societies. Are you purposefully being disingenuous to try and spread more bullshit, or perhaps you just took feminism 101 from some mediocre university and think the few few cherry picked examples represent more than a tiny minority of actual history?

From experience, I’d say many women without kids (built who don’t have medical issues) are very very picky, and that’s why they ended up single and childlessfree. In big, liberal East coast cities like DC and NY, there are more educated women than men. They spend their 20s in school, half their 30s working to climb the corporate / government ladder, and then at 33-36 have a OH-Shit moment when they realize that they’re getting too old for kids. They then spend years serial dating online, initial…

You shouldn't be paying anything without it being ordered by a court where it can be monitored. Not only are you throwing money away, you're establishing a legal precedent for her to receive even more child support / alimony in the future based on the cash you're giving her now. And anything you've given her so far may not even be counted as anything but a gift, so if it ever does go to court, you'll owe her again, half of whatever cash she can prove you had at the time of the separation.

I'm sure there are still plenty of more conservative women out there who would consider this trashy. But not most modern women. Over the past 20 years, the mainstream media has made it 100% acceptable for women to just bail on their marriage and family anytime they're not 100% happy, which I'm sure has led to stats of women now initiating most divorces, along with the continued anachronistic courts who reward women with cash and prizes when they leave. In contrast, there are very few outlets tha…

I had way more luck getting dates and sex in my mid 30s than I did in my 20s. Part of the reason is that I lived in a big, progressive city with more educated career women than men, so any guy making good money with a stable career and nice car could do okay. But I wasn’t able to get more 22 year olds than I would have at 25, it was easier to find women my own age. I find this is even more true as I get older, and not only are there a lot of never married 35 year old women looking for the nice g…

Bingo. Tipping has become so absurd in the US that I think it’s actually the waiters, waitresses, and bartenders who don’t want a living wage, even they’re always trying to guilt the rest of us into feeling sorry. When my city tried to pass a bill to force $15 / hour, it wasn’t the evil business owners who were against it, it was the service workers themselves. That’s one way to look at it. Though I often talk with people from all over the EU who are in my same career. For some reason they all make half what software engineers in the US make, and what’s worse is that their salaries are all heavily taxed in order to pay for all the subsidies that go mostly to women. Guys in Sweden or the Netherlands will be making the equivalent of $80k. The 30 year old social worker (I.e. the women paper pusher) will make $65k. After the extra taxes the male engineer m…

This isn’t true that women are actually paying child support and alimony though based on the statistics. Men pay over 90% of both in the US, but the amount of women who are the main breadwinner in the family is a lot higher than what they’re paying. The only logical conclusions you can make are either: courts are biased against men, without regard to changing family economics women who are more likely to earn cash and prizes for divorcing end up pulling the trigger at a far higher rate than thos…

Maybe I phrased it poorly, but I meant it in the sense of guys who are good looking and can obtain lots of sex without having to play the beta bucks,female-worshipping boyfriend, that many average young guys must perform to obtain a relationship in their 20s. It’s no different than young, attractive women who manipulate men for attention, money, dates, etc. It’s how life works, even if you don’t like it, unfortunately.

Well I think Russia is getting closer and closer to Western ideals, but they’re still different enough to not be considered. It seems like the UK, Canada, and other Anglo countries have the same awful laws and media propaganda as the US. It’s not quite the same yet in much of the EU. As far as marriage, relationships, male vs female - the system has definitely shifted to an unnatural state that is propped up and enforced by the state and media. But from what I’ve read, the idea of the Disney marriage and perfect couple was mostly a fantasy too. Men and women were never expected to be best friends, equal partners, etc. It was a legal contract that promoted children and production, but not necessarily happiness. I agree. Dating was not fun in my 20s as an average dude, and a lot of it was because 25 year old guys are still poor, unsure of themselves, crappy job, and extremely horny, which women can detect a mile away. At mid 30s, I had a great job and salary, close to a million dollars in assets, sex drive far lower which meant I simply didn’t care about most women except for the absolute most attractive - and again, women notice that too. Everybody’s priorities change. When I was younger and dated, all that mattered was appearance, reputation, etc. When I was looking for something longer term, I wasn’t picky about appearances, and was a lot more concerned about personality, finances, her family, etc. I assume women have traits they look for when they’re younger, and different ones when they’re older and looking for partner / longer term. It’s all relative for men. Well if you remember the last big abortion fights in the US, it all started cause a few states introduced bills which would have allowed abortions up till birth, so conservative states fought back by pushing even more restrictive policies than they already had. I'm not really sure of the various outcomes as abortion isn't an issue I care about either way, though I'll be getting popcorn ready if Ruth Bader Ginsburg should die while Trump is still in office.

4 years of study and 4 for their career? Come to DC or NYC. All women have 7+ years of undergrad, master, and internships. In their mid 20s they’re just starting their careers and having fun. By 30, they’re finally moving up the government or corporate ladder, and now it’s time to really give everything to their career. Maybe at 34 they’re finally noticing that a bunch of Facebook friends have little kids already starting school, and then it’s time to find the nice guy. Based on my own anecdotes…

Interesting. The old me would have rationalized the request for help and also her wanting to slow things down physically as proof that she was a decent woman who was just doing what she had to do to ensure I wasn’t just looking for a quick pump and dump. And the chores, I’d assume, were further woman tests to qualify my dedication to a LTR partnership where we help each other out. I would have totally helped her out with her bed, also sent some cringe reply to her slow down request about how tha…

My theory is that all else remaining equal (I.e. let’s forget that happier, attractive, healthy men are more likely to get married anyway), married men probably hold both ends of the bell curve - they’re both the most happy and least happy. Unmarried men are probably all lumped in the middle towards the median. A married guy with a faithful wife, well adjusted kids who aren’t total brats, great group of friends and family - typical Disney representation of married life - are more happy than any …

Desperate for what? Despite all this talk about equality and strong and independent women, guys are still the ones who earn more and women still depend on men for status, money (especially if kids are in her plans), and social acceptance. Men, OTOH, are dependent on women for sex and also status, though not nearly as much as women. Men are definitely the beggars when they’re younger and very driven by sex. The game changes as we get older, and I’d say by about mid 30s or 40s, men are definitely …

When I moved to a smaller city in my later 30s, there were absolutely no sane women over 30 without kids, so you pretty much had to accept that possible dates would have them. I quickly learned it was a complete waste of time for most guys. The following scenario happened dozens of times with women like this one: We match on Bumble or OkCupid or whatever app. She’s decent looking but has a kid, a bit overweight, and aging quickly. She has some shit job as a preschool teacher or admin and makes $…

This whole post is missing the main point. The Wall happens when women are no longer fertile. A 30 year old woman isn't a whole lot less fertile than she was at 25. At 35 it begins to decrease exponentially. Most women are done by early 40s. My dick knows it intrinsically, and I think women can very easily discern the huge difference in male attention they receive in the few years it takes for menopause to complete. Redditors don't even pay attention to these women, and concentrate on only young…

This is my point. As a man you can’t just call the cops, get a restraining order, ez divorce, alimony, the kids and child support, house, etc. Our problem is that we have no options to just leave, without a huge penalty. So no point trying to convince anyone about men suffering physical abuse, because there isn’t anything the government can do, and society could care less. The whole issue sounds like controlled opposition. Let’s just all admit how bad emotional abuse is, or that financial abuse …

Emotional, financial, social, etc violence ... Violence by definition is a physical threat to ones well being (though I’m sure you can find some modern redefinition to fit whatever narrative you want). While I understand these are all real issues, there is little the government can do about it. I would much prefer a system that assured men are able to leave a relationship where this is happening, without being forced to continue providing for a family or woman which you’ll no longer be with. Women using sex is as old as humanity. It is a perfect example of how the sexes evolved. In exchange, men were required to protect and provide for women. In the West, this system has been turned upside down, where the state forces men to protect and provide at the societal level, with women no longer required to provide anything in exchange. Obviously, there will be consequences, and we're already seeing some of them: lower birth rates, less family units, more uneven distribution of sex and rela…

This is even more skewed than the numbers show. Most jobs women take are make-work, i.e. if the state wasn't subsidizing then or enforcing quotas, they simply wouldn't be filled. Look at the rate of women vs men in government jobs - federal, state and local - it's far more women: teachers, middle managers, paper shufflers, etc. Every job I've ever had was mostly men, thank God, but the few women I've worked with tended to have kind of random duties. Your numbers are completely wrong as SS and Medicare are funded separately. In reality, about 20% of the budget as paid by income taxes is used for social programs, and most of that is for women. It lasted a day and was mostly symbolic. I'm talking about permanently removing women from the private and public workforce. Employers prepared for the day without women by buying sweets, pencils, and paper to entertain the kids who would be brought into work by their fathers.[2] As a result, sausages, a popular meal, sold out in many stores that day.[2] Sounds like the nation was crippled without their sausages. Also with a very few exceptions women can do everything a man can. I'll believe when I see it. Yeah there are definitely women out there who are better than others, same as men. The problem is the laws have been skewed from what marriage originally meant. It was always a societal and legal contract that dictated: Men were to support women financially and protect their honor. Women would bear children for the man and give the man her virtue, which meant her virginity and access to sex. What has happened over the last century or so? For putting up with a stay at home wife with no kids, she better have been good looking, man ;) Otherwise, that’s a shitty deal for you, though absolutely not uncommon as men are still expected to perform all their traditional roles, while women cherry pick the good parts and demand equality on the bad.
