Just file and move on. Divorce on its face is simple. You pay a laywer, your life sucks for a bit, or you stay married like I did for ten years of hell. Then you do it, but by then she gets half or more and you have kids. You made a mistake. You do not have to keep making it.

Why cant you bring the boyfriend up? You should be able to. Have the judge ask the kids who they want to live with. Them explain the support system they will have there.

Ending the marriage would cost him. He has no reason to.

Amend that to you both have to. There really is no normal in a divorce. They range far sometimes. If you are required to do it, and she has the kids part of the time, then why wouldn't she be required to state where they are living? Or an income change for adjusted child support?

Not really....just got lucky with some investments really. But the main point is....if your partner doesn't make you better....then go. Also the court system is screwed....I mean screwed

Mine did this...after the I don't know how many times she said I wanna divorce to "win" something I filed...and stuck with it. Thing is she didn't want one I guess???? Because it took two years and I just signed the papers when the finally came. About a year of living in her mom's basement got to her I guess and she tried to get me back. But I knew,as you should that it's just gonna go back to the way it was. People can change, but its usually forced on them. By some traumatic thing...like a div…

Also if you went back to school, she can't call the VA and see if your using benifits. This woman is nuts

Now for the advice part. Agree to all of it instead of alimony. Half your military retirement, half of your survivor benefit plan, half of your VA loan garuntee, because it looks like alot but it's nothing. Because you don't have military retirement, you have a VA pension, you waived any retirement to get it. Survivor benefit plan means nothing because she would need former spouse SBP, two entirely different things, VA loan garuntee??!! Ahahaha

Half your VA housing loan? It's not actually money, you get a loan, for the full amount, then the government backs a percentage of that loan as a type of insurance against you defaulting on it. You don't ever get any money from it.

VA pension, if for disability, she can't touch. Gi bill, she can't touch, as a matter of fact she can't get any of that. It's just not legal or enforcable. Even if you agreed to it in a court the VA would laugh at her and DFAS would tell her to go fly a kite.

Exactly what will you spend your retirement doing? Will she wanna do whatever that is? Or are you gonna have a pile of money still but be unhappy and do nothing. I'm traveling everywhere with my third, who is basically me with boobs. But if I was still with the others, ethier one I'd be at home on a computer bored out my rear.

Ok, so take her to court and have the judge make her sign the paper there. And pay your fees, do the ganishment or whatever, but while your in that court house in front of that judge have her pre sign and date every other year that sane paper. Just bring ten copies with you....or ask the judge to give you the exemption permanently and then have her pre sign for ever year until thier 18. If you don't do it now you the ex is gonna keep doing not just that but other shit too. It's gonna get bad for…

Oh 12 years married. How much of that time has she been in the military? Don't get just any laywer. Get one that knows military divorce or you are screwed.

Ok so SBP...survivor benefit plan. Ask for this but understand that SBP and FSSBP or former spouse survivor benefit plan are two different things. You need FSSBP or dfas will delete it with no recourse. I just did this to mine. She owes you BAH and you can renew your own ID card at any deers on any base. She can't remove you from deers without a divorce decree. Get the BAH by calling her chain of command. Now how long have you been married and what state you divorcing in?

Then don't give it up. Until you have a court order in your hand telling you to do so.
