In my experience, not really. If women want to get to know a suitor better, they will date them. Sometimes people develop feelings unexpectedly as they get to know eachother. That's generally how "friend zoned" people end up dating.

The woman/birth-giver isn’t the only one that has the option of putting the kid up for adoption; both parents have to agree to this in order for the kid to be put up for adoption. If one parent does not agree, they have to come to some sort of agreement when it comes to custody, financial support or adoption. There are few circumstances that people can give up responsibility to a born child; the parents of said child are responsible for their well-being. Why are you trying to make born children …

I understand your perspective, but respectfully disagree. Have a good weekend :)

Abortion, as a medical procedure still comes with risks. Less so than when people tried to terminate their pregnancy on their own. If we have the ability to reduce harm to people without harming others, it should be done. I think this is true for other “crimes”, like using drugs. But that’s another tale for another time. The system you’ve thought up is flawed. I can see why you think it makes sense in theory, but what it’d do in reality is allow men to not take responsibility for their children.…

Well, when we took away abortion before people still figure out a way to do it. It’s less safe, people died. Do we go back to that? If we allow “financial abortions”, are only men able to take advantage of this? What about lesbians? Furthermore, what happens to the child? Do they go without the having their parent be responsible for them? Who picks up the slack?

Well, we can’t force people to have abortions and we’d be allowing people to abandon their responsibility. How else are we going to give the child the resources they need?

I figured it out! State/government support for children who are abandoned by a parent and not adopted. This will include a part-time nanny and some financial aid. Kid doesn’t go without, and the parent that wants out can leave.

I don’t think what’s “fair” to the unborn is relevant. Once they’re born, it’s a different story. I encourage you to read A Defense Of Abortion by Judith Jarvis Thompson, it’s easy to find and free to read. It illustrates points I’m making better than I can about how abortion is about body autonomy. Everyone has the same rights; they’re applied differently because we have different bodies. Women have uteruses, men don’t. People see this as unfair because men can’t control the reproductive organs…

It doesn’t matter what is living off of or inside the body, the idea behind body autonomy means that a person has control over their body. They can make the choice whether or not they want something or someone living off their body. Making an exception for reproductive organs would be taking away body autonomy for some. How would that be fair?

It doesn’t matter what you or I think of a fetus, it’s a foreign body (whether or not it’s “harmful” is subjective and I didn’t use that word). It’s a foreign body AND a baby. But none of that matters, really. People have the right to control what enters or resides in their body. Everyone has that right. Men have it, women have it.

It doesn’t mean a fetus should absolutely be removed. It’s a matter of personal choice. Everyone has the freedom to choose what enters or resides in their body. Not everyone can get pregnant, and that sucks for a variety of reasons.

Well, a fetus/baby is a foreign body, calling them that is correct. We can’t change what they are because we also tend to attach feelings to them.

Why is including babies overstepping the line?

I’m giving you shit because men have recourse if they are baby-trapped. Reproductive coercion is a crime. Lemme help break this down for you. People have a right to their bodies; and they can have foreign bodies removed. That means we don’t have to carry parasites, or a fetus. If men could grow a fetus in their body, that would be covered under this right. People have a right to abstain from sex, or have consensual sex. It’s understood that sex makes babies. If people have sex and make a baby, t…

Since when are men forced to keep foreign bodies inside them?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/20 05:17 PM

“Perks”? Men also get the “perk” of removing foreign bodies from them with medication or surgery. Women get the same “perk”; the difference is that “perk” includes babies because women carry them inside their bodies...

So you had recourse, you didn’t take it, and now you’re on here saying men have no recourse? The fuck.

This isn’t fair to the child. This always turns into a men vs. women debate, which misses the point. Child support isn’t for the Mother. Shared custody isn’t for the Father. It’s for the benefit of the child. The tiny human that needs people to look after it. I don’t care what kind of agreement people figure out; adoption, co-parenting, financial assistance from one party (man, woman, doesn’t matter; whoever isn’t putting the time in). People hate hearing this; but sex makes babies. If you are h…

There is recourse in the case of tampering with birth control (including condoms). Reproductive coercion is a crime.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
