So... Can you dig up any research into: the difference in suicide rates between pet owners and non pet owners? The closer to single men as you can, but male suicide rates should suffice. the overall cost of pet adoptions (burocracy, leashes, collars), including all initial vetinary costs (deworming, sterilization, shots). And it's why I suggested pets, as we (humans) can confide in them, voicing out our problems (which does have therapeutic effect) without the stigma. It would also be the first step to getting us guys to be able to open up. We need to start teaching that speaking out isnt bad, but that would (mostly) affect todays children, not the adults.
