You have a valid point. Society does make it too easy for them to go the other direction.

I would just like to point out that while we may see a lot of the ones who do continue to be irresponsible, that's not always the case. My mom kicked my dad out when I was still pretty young, but she had good reason to. I was only just beginning to see it at that time, but all my older siblings knew what was going on- my dad was emotionally abusive to us all. And then he didn't pay child support. Or call for months on end, only ever contacting us on his birthday, his mom's birthday, or christmas…

Um... I totally get that banning shorts is ridiculous, and I think these guys are doing the right thing with the protest, but I'm not completely clear on why this is a men's rights issue. If you could explain that to me I'd appreciate the clarification.

In all fairness, on that one he did say virtually unattainable. And, let's be honest, that is a level of physical perfection that many would find unattainable.

I'm all too familiar with this. It has taken me several years to recognize that masculinity is nothing but a social construct, and even with that knowledge I still find a residual depression that I can't always shake easily.

Ah. Thank you, I've not heard of that before... Judging from the above comment and the whole post in general, I'm guessing it's a movement of men who are, for all intents and purposes, sweating off women? Or is there more/less to it than that?

Ok, don't think I'm stupid for this please, but I really am not sure what, exactly, is going on. Anyone care to explain?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
