Updates from last week What a complete and utter horror-show, managed to regress right back to the most Beta blue-pill little bitch I have been in a long time. A whole series of events that I'm not going to go into specifics with but these nearly lead to the (amicable) breakup of our marriage. If both of us had more conviction then I would be going through a divorce now. On reflection, it wasn't what I wanted and was a reaction to a few things that had happened and a case of me being stuck betwe…

Do you know for sure that she isn't getting her Alpha kicks from somewhere else? If she isn't yet then it won't be long until she is. Remember, looks can be deceiving.

Block her and move on, she's an attention seeker that will use you for nothing more than her own self-validation.

Goals from last week Personal: Same as last week, keep frame and do not lose temper, this will probably be the same weekly goal as is going to take constant effort but recording it here will give me better insight and keep me accountable. Didn't have any incidents of losing frame this week, a fairly chilled out week really, no major headache's at home and nothing to cause arguments with. A few shit tests but they were passed a lot easier than previously as I've been hyper-aware of them. Personal…

Thanks for taking the time to respond more thoroughly. Now compare that with your situation. Your wife has been taught over however many number of years through your actions that you're willing to tolerate and accept her behavior. You've only started this process, you've only started lifting. You have an entire history of taught behavior to correct. Just because you've started doesn't mean that the changes are going to catch up any time soon. If you go Red Pill Rambo, you're going to screw thing…

This guy, brilliant. He's managed to get right under her skin.

Not sure what you're saying here, this one was somewhat irrespective of the gym but more down to my historical DIY failures.

Thanks, I've done stronglifts before, the end goal is to get back to the gym but I'm between-gyms at the minute, within the next couple of months I'll be back at the gym and I'll start back up on StrongLifts then.

Goals from last week Personal: Keep frame, do not lose temper at all, stay calm, composed and calculated Didn't do so well on this, shark week from Saturday and she was a real bitch to the kid, ended up in a big argument of her saying I don't back her up and me being on the side of she was being too harsh to the kid, continued on into Sunday. Got to the point where she was being overly dramatic saying she was going to leave, I STFU and said do what you want to do, it's your life it's up to you a…

Someone needs to find the 17 year old and tell him to get out, now! The guys 17 and he's committing to raising a kid that's not his, what has happened to the world.

Thanks, I used calm this morning and the first session was 9 minutes, it felt like it went twice as quick as the previous silent 5 minute session, and actually felt a lot more beneficial, there is a 7 day guided meditation on there for free which I'll continue with and see how I get on with that.

It's fucking horrible how many people are actually like this, and how true to life this video is, even though it's supposed to be funny.

Thanks for the detailed answer, I tried yesterday of an afternoon and there were way more distractions in the house (family) going to go back to doing it in the AM before everyone else is awake and try using an app to start off with, 5 minutes was probably not long enough as you say.

Have been doing them on and off for the past couple of years, trying to get back into them consistently now, the second video was good, thanks.

Do you use an app to meditate? Did you start at 20 minutes or did you work your way up from a smaller amount of time? I've started trying to do 5 minute sessions, I've been doing them of a morning but thinking of pushing back to afternoon as if I do it after exercise I find my breathing isn't as relaxed and if I do it before I'm not awake enough to properly focus.

I'm currently running about 26 minute 5k, but having not run for the best part of 6 months I expect with a month or so of training I'll be able to bring that down to low 20s. As said I'm currently 76kg, my long term aim is probably to be about the same weight but a lot more ripped than at present, I estimate I'm probably in the region of 14-16% BF so if I can bring that down to 10-12% I should look a lot better whilst being able to maintain a decent bit of pace.

Yeah, I'm not particularly well built, which kind of helps in this instance. I'm 76kg at the moment, I used to run 18-19 minute 5k a couple of years ago but was probably more around 66-68kg back then. I'll be happy with sub 20 and not losing any weight, put a little bit of muscle on in the last 6 months or so, so I'd rather not lose that. What goal are you working towards at the minute?

It's a new year and I've realised I need to start taking my shit seriously. Not because anything specific has happened but I've realised that life is passing me by. I'm 26 in February and it seems like no time at all since I was 18. Things are good for me, stable job, family life is picking up. 2016 was a shaky year for my marriage, a lot of failures on my part (aren't they all) and some bitch-like behaviour on hers. I can't change hers but I'm going to make sure I sort myself out. We're plannin…
