Oh wow, didn't expect this long of answer. Thank you. Emotional labor in the form of support/being their unofficial therapist. This sounds like you don't pick your men wisely. You should probably find guys that are mentally stable but can still share their emotions with you like you share your emotions with them. That's all I have to say, good night.

" There are movements within the Jewish community that are already ending mgm and replacing it with other ceremonies " - Interesting. I did not know that. Is it from all of the Jewish movements(Orthodox/Reform..)?

There is no hurt done to the baby(remember in Judaism only males are circumcised). If the circumcision can hurt the child because of a medical reason then they wait until he can be circumcised. Performing circumcision as an adult is tremendously more painful then as an infant. I would be happy if you can provide me cases of Jewish men that say that being circumcised has hurt them in life and made there lives harder.

1) "I'm circumcised so did that make me a Jew? Hint: I'm not" - Circumcision doesn't make you a Jew. If your mother was a Jew you are Jew according to the Torah. 2) "Ending the practice of infant circumcision would not end Judaism" - yes, yes i would. As I said - this ceremony is the most fundamental commandment. Read the reasons again.

" Why do Jews circumcise? A sign of our faith. The circumcision leaves an indelible mark on our flesh that we believe in God. Slaves to the Creator of the world. In the old days slave owners would create some mark in the body of their slaves to make sure they would never run away. The circumcision reminds us that we are servants of God and that we will always walk in His ways. Our uniqueness as a nation. Circumcision distinguishes us from the nations of the world. Just as we are the chosen peopl…

Hi! Just curious to know if you researched why Jews circumcise and why it is so important for them to do so?
