I think what he's saying is that you may not enjoy it as much as you think you do. By that logic why not just do heroin all day? It's about as productive as playing video games all day and will make you happy, yet we all can agree it's not really the best thing to do and won't leave you fulfilled. Temporary happiness vs fulfillment is how I look at spending my time.

I'm gonna be straight honest with you: you're in high school so chances are you and everyone you know aren't interesting in the slightest. It's probably hard to hold a real conversation when you don't know anything about the world. Also, who says a conversation has to be as stimulating as a chris nolan movie? Most conversations aren't riveting. I generally keep them light hearted and make her laugh and that makes them fun. But life is kind of mundane, you have to find fun/humor/interest in that.

It's really all about the right quality of woman. Of course anything can happen (by you or by her), but you minimize your chances of getting cheated on by selecting the right woman. But yeah, no such thing as a sure thing-- all about minimizing the probability for both parties.

No, they just need to stop promoting shitty hacks. Buying smaller plates if you're trying to lose weight is a pretty strong psychological tactic that has been shown to work. That's a good hack. But yeah, 90% of hacks people talk about are pretty horrendous.

Sorry, forgot I made a commitment on reddit. It happens! I get where you're coming from and I agree somewhat if you do it REALLY careful like you're saying it's probably not as much a risk. I mean if you actually try courtship that's cool and a lot of people find marriage in the workplace. The "Don't shit where you eat" is usually about hooking up with people in your work, not finding your future wife though.

The women you describe are like textbook redflags. Not all women are textbook was my only point. Some hide it well. Obviously don't date the 'office gossip queen' but what about the girl that might gossip when she's angry, but you've never seen her angry? That's all I'm saying. You never REALLY know. Not everyone is funny. If you aren't and try to be it usually is a bad thing. Take an improv class if you can and then ask for some honest feedback from the instructor. I'm the same way with a face. That's what I look at 90% of the time. Though there are some girls who walk by in a tight dress or something sexy and you really just think "good lord..." haha I like how you call "being scared" a "perfectionist mindset." That's just good marketing. Only thing I'd tell you to do is do uncomfortable things more and that will get you used to being uncomfortable and scared. Because let's be honest, it's not about doing it right, it's about you're scared to go meet them (and yes, perhaps do things wrong). Nothing wrong with fear, that's part of life. Reminds me of a quote from the show "flight of the concords" in which the main character says "After 6 or 7 weeks girls find me boring. But I'm not sure what happens because I think that's how long it takes for someone to get to know me." If it is a big pattern, maybe you lose some of your spice after multiple times out and get complacent? Could be just meeting weird guys, or it could be you.
