The context clearly shows that I was talking about circumcision. Don't spread my words out over everything. You should've been able to realize this from what we were talking about. To re-borrow your words: "think it through before you write or say anything." :D And as for your opinion: you're entitled to believe whatever you please. If you aren't going to circumcise your child, I wouldn't stop you. Nor would I want to.

Okay, sure, the author may have a serious bias against anti-circumcision. But let's pretend that, for the sake of argument, the author hates people who don't circumcise. Can't you think logically or did you just ignore the second part of my comment? I think parents should do what they feel best when it comes to circumcision. Circumcision shows no threat (quite the opposite), whereas amputation of a limb does. To borrow your words, "think it through before you write or say anything."

The boy has no choice either way... It's weird because the anti-circumcision group just assumes that obviously boys are going to want to have uncircumcised dicks. Many who are uncircumcised feel terribly uncomfortable for it—mostly in the US—because to be circumcised is the cultural norm.

But it has sources. If you get hung up on that, you won't be able to take anything else seriously. And honestly, based on what I've seen on here, that seems like a good descriptor. Not that all individuals who are against circumcision are part of this cult, though. I've seen the same words used in this thread regarding pro-circumcision, too, but I still take them seriously.

That's one of the definitions of mutilation, but it's more widely understood to mean "to inflict serious damage". Foreskin is a breeding ground for bacteria; circumcision is hygienic. If a grown man comes to realize that, yes, circumcision is the way to go, is he mutilating himself if he has himself circumcised? The definition of mutilation is the "infliction of serious damage on something." Cutting off, as you put it, "pesky flaps of skin" is not mutilation. I am "cool" with it, as I've been told by multiple women that they prefer cut penises. There's no need to be upset, sir.
