Explosive new Samantha Kerr police video exposes ugly scene WARNING: This article includes language that some readers may find offensive Explosive new video of Sam Kerr’s heated exchange with police has shown the Matildas captain launched into an ugly rant. On a dramatic day inside Kingston Crown Court, Kerr’s fiance Kristie Mewis broke down in tears while Kerr also told the court she did not use “whiteness as an insult”. Mewis, 33, took the stand on Friday morning (AEDT), accusing the police of…

Good point! My bad. She could likely get away with it given her high profile and the fact that she is female and abused a white male

I have a question. There is no perfect answer, I am sure we would all agree, but interested in your reasoning. Question: (Assume we are in a 100% ideal Pro-choice jurisdiction). In this case as an example, when the female rapist first got pregnant, who should have the right to decide if the unborn foetus should be aborted or not? The rapist mother or the raped father?

You may have a point. Loss of objectivity is a real issue in a lot of social sciences. The actual truth about social science research? Who really knows

Such research is considered homophobic. Just try getting funding for something like this in today's obsession with minority rights at all costs
/r/PussyPassDenied14/12/24 05:45 AM

Very good point. Men (both straight and gay) are reluctant to speak of abuse (and report it) because of many reasons, including cultural.

I think there are a lot of reasons for this. My starting point is that we are all the same, so something happens in all communities to explain this aberrant behaviour

More recent research on Intimate Partner Violence within Lesbian relationships, circa 2018. Life-time prevalence of IPV in LGB couples appeared to be similar to or higher than in heterosexual ones: 61.1% of bisexual women, 43.8% of lesbian women, 37.3% of bisexual men, and 26.0% of homosexual men experienced IPV during their life, while 5.0% of heterosexual women and 29.0% of heterosexual men experienced IPV. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6113571/

I think it is saying that abuse occurs in all types of relationships. Just like hetero relations, many gay relationships are loving and respectful

Wow! Fascinating story. This type of child abuse is simply not reported enough. And so many barriers to checking the veracity of mother's claims. Just shows that there are more victims to this ideology that women should always be unquestionably believed, than just adult males.

Women are the only reported perpetrators of Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP), in which a parent knowingly creates or exaggerates physical symptoms in a child. Gender-sensitive family systems theory, theories of women's psychological development, and theory relevant to the intergenerational transmission of child abuse are applied to explain why women are more vulnerable than men to developing MSP. Munchausen syndrome by proxy: Another women's disorder?
/r/PussyPassDenied19/11/24 12:18 PM

Munchausen syndrome is when you fake your own illness. MS by proxy is when you harm someone else, typically a child, to feign illness and garner sympathy from others or financial gain.

It is egalitarian. Men and women have the same capacity for abuse, if given the opportunity. To pretend otherwise is sexist.

I thought about that but reddit polls are too restrictive. Some forms of abuse are clearly abuse while others can be unintentional or subjective, so yes, more explicit abuse references would have provided greater insight

Very good point! But researchers in DV are effectively advocates for one narrative only, and anyone suggesting that DV is a joint co-morbidity rather that an exclusively male initiated form of abuse is quickly either vilified or ignored

Well, this story is the most recent decision handed down by the Health Care Complaints Tribunal, which de-registers health professionals for mis-conduct. So yes, she pussy passed the criminal charges 2 years ago, but she has at least lost her registration as an O/T, so she cannot abuse other vulnerable clients. The Tribunal has at least found her to be professionally guilty. But it really beats me how she avoided criminal charges. I mean just imagine if she was a male?

Park City, Utah: A Utah mother of three who published a children’s book about grief after her husband’s death and was later accused of fatally poisoning him will stand trial, a judge has ruled. Utah state judge Richard Mrazik ruled on the second day of Kouri Richins’ preliminary hearing that prosecutors had presented enough evidence against her to proceed with a jury trial. She faces a slew of criminal charges for allegedly killing her husband with a lethal dose of fentanyl in March 2022 at thei…

I agree with this sentiment. Having a baby when you can't even manage your life is child abuse. Which is why I think the US's current obsession with anti-abortion laws is inhumane. They will be forcing children to be born in dysfunctional family units, and they will be creating a new generation of criminals and drug addicts.

No, I think long-term torture is what is required. Let her feel what the poor boy went through

Holy moly!!!!! If I did not read it in a credible article, I just would never have believed it. And like most others here, how is 8.5 years even remotely enough for what she did? And the poor men seriously considered suicide. This story should be more widely known. A cautionary tale in believing someone just because they are female. And BTW, no admission and no remorse from her, despite overwhelming evidence that she faked it all
