Very nice shaded forest. Normally I go backpacking, but last weekend I took my cabin tent up to an empty campground and just soaked in the birdsong and wind in the pines. Bliss.

The books you're looking for is the Aubry and Maturin series written by Patrick O'Brian. There are twenty-two books in the series. Once you start, you will not stop reading them. Everyone I know who's ever read one book ends up reading the entire series many times over. The movie "Master and Commander" is based on the series, and it does a fine job recreating the characters, time and place the book is set in. Best of all, you can buy each copy for a couple of bucks each from abebooks.com.

I did this same thing back in 2001, and was blown away by how fast my Inbox filled with hundreds of messages. In less than a day I learned all I needed to know about online dating.

Writing and running. These are good things. They are not better or worse than the embrace of a woman, only different, and more stable, predictable.
/r/MGTOW18/04/20 07:29 AM

Bingo. Dude, you just summarized my six decades relationship with women. You don't have to be "Chad" to catch an engaged or married woman's attention, you only need to be different from her main man. That's all, just, different. Not exceptional; not kinder; not a better provider; not hotter; not more special in any way. Just, different. It's so fucking sad.
/r/MGTOW18/04/20 07:23 AM

I lived with a woman for 2-1/2 years. When we broke up, I saddled up my mountain bike and rode one-hundred miles into the desert to collect my thoughts. In the next few days I slept on sandbars in rivers, in desert oasis, and in dry desert washes just off the highway, and those were the most restful nights sleep I had in all of those years with a woman. A woman's embrace is simply no substitute for the simplicity of solitude. It's taken me 57 years to learn that life lesson. Buyer beware.
/r/MGTOW18/04/20 06:14 AM

"Of at least 50% it's five star or GTFO." After eight years of no dating, I finally gave in and spent some casual time with a woman. I'm like you, I can roll with the punches while traveling. But her, no, hell no. Before we even went anywhere she said she's picky about where she'll sleep. It must be four stars or above or she can't hack it. There will be no casual time with this woman. She--all of them--are too much work.

Keymaster, the owner of the site, walked away from it a couple of years ago. The forums still work for old members who are hanging around just for the kicks. "She kept pulling away..." This, above all things, is what young men should be taught before they enter the dating/relationship world. All women pull away. It may be sixty seconds after you meet them, or three years after you marry them. But pull away they will. Bit by bit, the affection you crave is taken from you until one day you stand in the middle of your living room or dining room or bathroom or garage, and ask yourself, "What the fuck am I doing here?"
/r/MGTOW20/01/20 07:50 AM

Right now I'm reading "Genesis. The Deep Origin of Societies" by E.O. Wilson, and, even better, "Virga & Bones" by Craig Childs, one of my all-time favorite authors. A book I can not recommend highly enough is Craig Childs', "House of Rain." Reading this book is like taking a couple of years off from work and exploring the desert southwest with a literary archeologist/philosopher. Seriously, read this book.

I had the same experience with a woman I dated in the late 90s. She looked like Heather Locklear when Heather was at her peak. When she entered a room, everyone--man, woman, child, dog, cat--stopped what they were doing and stared. And she not only looked that good, but she had an engaging personality to go with it. She was such a pain in the ass. I lasted two months before I broke it off.

I know a woman who paid something like $10K to attend this guy's yoga teacher certification training in Thailand. She is your classic, middle-aged vegan, physic-healing, astrology-believing, #poundmeto, all-exes-are-abusive-narcissists, victim. Always the fucking victim. I used Gillette razors from the day I started shaving (c. 1978) until the day I saw that imbecilic ad. After that, like many guys on this subreddit, I bought a quality safety razor and Feather brand blades. Shaves just as good and is so much cheaper, that I don't know why any man buys cartridge razors any more. Marketing, I suppose. Thanks, Gillette, your pandering has helped me save a lot of money!

I would love nothing more than to live someplace quiet in a simple little hut like yours. Is your Youtube channel also going to be about neoindigenous living? I recently watched a YT video podcast that claimed primitive living videos are one of the most watched genres in the world. People are hungry for a simpler, more natural way of life.
